Connecting my new IPhone 6 to Bluetooth.

I read that connecting I Phone 6 to car Bluetooth was a problem. Initially, I had the same problem. Spent an hour on the phone with support, but no luck. I then went to the Apple Store and they told me to disconnect my old phone. When I did that, I was able to connect the new I phone 6.

  • I made the wrong choice when I connected my new iPhone 5 to my MacBook Pro for the first time (lost ALL my new photos because it restored settings that were 9 months old) - can I re-do this somehow and configure it as a new phone?

I connected my new iPhone 5 to my (now fully updated after two separate operating system upgrades!) MacBook Pro so that I could add my music to my new phone.  Rather than configuring it as a new iPhone, I chose to configure it as my old iPhone, thinking that this would make it easier for my music to be there.  WRONG.  Now my new iPhone 5 looks exactly like my old iPhone 4 did in OCTOBER, 2012 - photos, messages, contacts... anything done since then is gone (that was the last time I had backed up my old phone, which unfortunately was not connected to the cloud and is also lost somewhere in a New England lake :-().  What I could really, really use help with is finding out if I can have a do-over on my choice and at least get my new phone looking/acting like the new phone it is, and bonus would be to have the photos and videos I took with it this past weekend (it's only five days old!) restored.  Please help!

Look iTunes>Preferences>Devices...is a backup listed for your iPhone 5 dated BEFORE you restored your iPhone 4 backup to your iPhone 5? If not, your data is gone. If there is a backup, on your iPhone 5: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings. You should now be able to restore that backup, if it exists, to your iPhone 5.

If you are running Lion then all drivers are distributed through Software Update. You do not need to install anything, other than to install the printer in System Preferences > Print & Scan. If you already added the printer while it was connected using USB, you might want to delete it and set it up again wirelessly to avoid confusion. Or, give them two distinct names e.g. "Photosmart D110 (USB)" and "Photosmart D110 (wireless)".
All scanning functions are now performed using Preview, but you can also access the scanner through the same Print & Scan preference pane, or with Image Capture.
This HP document may help explain how driver software is distributed now:

  • I connected my new iphone 4 to itunes but now it wont recognise my old 3gs. My name doesnt appear on the left. i want to transfer all my songs to my new one but cant sync now. can anyone help

i connected my new iphone 4 to itunes before backing up my old one but now it wont recognise my old 3gs. My name doesnt appear on the left. i want to transfer all my songs to my new one but cant sync now. can anyone help

Plug your phone into the wall charger for at least 30 minutes...make sure you have a sim card in the phone...then:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.
Make sure you have no anti-virus software running or any firewalls...turn all of that stuff off.

  • Connected my new iPhone to my existing iTunes

I have just connected my new iPhone (old iPhone replaced due to faults) to my existing iTunes and it has started the 'start up' instructions but when I selected continue the next page is in a different language? All other tabs in itunes is still in english??
Also, when I can fix the language problem how do I synch all my existing iPhone data back to the new iPhone and also keep the few apps and music I have downloaded over the last few days on the iPhone?

    No, same computer.
A few days ago, knowing that I will get a new IPhone, I synced the old phone, just to be on the safe side.
In ITunes I can only see the apps that come with the new IPhone...

  • Can't connect my new iPhone 4 with internet via Time Capsule. IP4 recognized TC but will not connect with it. (Password etc. is ok)

Can't connect my new iPhone 4 with internet via Time Capsule. IP4 recognized TC but will not connect with it. (Password etc. is ok)

    Do the usual wireless things.
Change the wireless name to simple name with only alphanumerics and no spaces.
Set to manual and use channels 1, 6, 11 in turn.
For testing take off the security altogether.
The iphone only works on 2.4ghz so only that band is relevant.

  • When I connect my new iPhone 4s to the computer and iTunes is running, I am advised that a new update is available, but when I download it, I am informed that my phone can not be updated because it has an incompatible hardware

When I connect my new iPhone 4s to the computer, iTunes informs me that there is an update avaialble and I procceed to download only to be told that my phone has incompatible hardware so cannot be updated. Any advice please

Hi, I just re-downloaded the update, but instead of telling it to download and install, I just clicked on download only. This is a 813 mb file and I am on limited broadband usage. I did it this way thinking that I would get a chance to see the exact wording when it tried to install, however, I have no idea how to try and install the file now and when I came to click on the iphone symbol on itunes, the download diassapeared, where to I have no idea. I can't afford to download it again, and besides it takes approximately three hours to download it in any case, so all I can remember is that the error message stated that it couldn't update because the phones hardware was not compatible.

  • HT4946 just connected my new iphone 4s to my existing ITUNES to get old music and it wiped my contacts.  Can i still  get them back , i didn't manually back up my phone before

just connected my new iphone 4s to my existing ITUNES to get old music and it wiped my contacts.  Can i still  get them back , i didn't manually back up my phone before

Contacts are not part of the backup.  Contacts, when using your phone as intended, are synched to your computer's Outlook, Address Book or with a cloud service.  If you haven't been using your phone as intended, then your contacts are gone.

Also once i reconnect the phone to iTunes go to add another playlist, at the top the "sync music" check tick has disappeared. when i re check that box again it says "Do you want to sync this iPhone all data will be erased"
    can anyone help at all?
    Thank you

    Hello henryscott3,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
From your post it appears that you either have iTunes Match on your iPhone, or are seeing items that are available in iTunes in the Cloud and not on your device.  To learn more about both of these features, please see the articles below.

  • My new macbook pro retina won't connect to my iPhone 4s via bluetooth

Just bought macbook pro retina. have had iPhone 4s for two years and use it to tether my iPad to regularly no problem. however the macbook pro won't connect to the iPhone via bluetooth. it recognises it's there and a connection code is displayed, but when I enter the code it won't connect and the phone insists that I agree to 'forget this device'. how do I enable tethering so I can use the 3g signal to browse on my laptop whilst travelling please?

Only thing I could suggest would be to "Reset Network Settings" on the phone (Settings> General> Reset>) . Of course, this will forget and delete any saved Wi-Fi or network configurations, but if that's not a problem for you then, maybe worth a shot.
Although saying that, I think iCloud remembers old settings (if you are connected and sharing network configurations), so may not be a total loss.

  • How can I connect my new iPhone to my iTunes account on my computer? It is not showing in the devices when I connect it.

I bought a new Iphone and I was unable to update with my iTunes because they wouldn't let me leave the store with out checking the camera and speakers. I had to start the phone. I tried connecting to iTunes when I got home but it's not showing in the devices. Please help me.

  • HT5625 I connected my new iPhone 5 to my girlfriends laptop that I had also had my old iPhone 4 synced to and now that I connected my new phone to the laptop everything restored to my iPhone 4 set ups and am not to pleased, how do I get my iPhone 5 back a

I have recently ran into an issue with my new iPhone 5 I went to connect to iTunes and when I did it restored my phone to my iPhone 4 that was previously connected to my laptop, how do I get rid of the iPhone 4 stuff and be able to connect my iPhone 5 without further issues?

If you have a backup in iTunes or iCloud, you can restore it from there.
To check in iTunes, open the Preferences pane and click on Devices > You will see the backups listed there.
You will want to do this on the computer that you typically sync your iPhone to.
Or if you have an iCloud backup, go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings and in the setup menu, choose your backup.
