i cant seem to do the same with my macbook. i just simply want to transfer pictures and ringtones from my macbook to my razr. my usb window under 'about this mac' does show a motorola is hooked up, but thats as far i get.
thank you guys in advance!

You need a plug-in so it syncs with iSync using bluetooth.

How to connect a Razr to iCal and Address Book w/ bluetooth
Hello. I am going to post this in multiple forums because I searched but couldn't find anything on how to sync my Razr with Tiger's iCal and Address Book so this is the How To.
First, download the software Pacifist which can be found on www.versiontracker.com. After the download, put your Tiger DVD into the drive, open the packages in Pacifist, and do a search for iSync.app. Drag that app into your Applications folder. Go to www.versiontracker.com again, and download the iSync 2.1 update. Run that update, and after the restart, use the bluetooth setup to connect to your phone. After pairing, the bluetooth setup should say that you can sync your contacts and ical list. Go to your Applications folder and find iSync. Using this application, you can now adjust the settings for your iCal and Address Book apps.
    Good luck!

    Hi,
There's a dedicated forum for Server customers.
    Good luck,

  • Want to connect Motorola Razr to Equium A100

Can anyone help?, I want to connect my Toshiba Equium A100 to the internevia bluetooth and my Motorola Razr but cannot find any drivers etc, where can I get these?

    Hello Robert
First of all you must be sure if your notebook has BT or not. Every notebook with BT has a BT label at the bottom site. Check it at first. Later we can continue discussion how to connect your mobile phone with Equium A100.

  • ISync not syncing all contacts to Moto Razr V3i

    Hi,
I have a Motorola Razr V3i that I'd like to sync with my Mac address book. I'm running Leopard 10.5.1. I keep the Address Book as the reference for all my contacts. When I connect my Razr to the Mac, I want to replace all the contacts on the phone with the entries in the Address Book. I have set options in iSync to sync all contacts with phone numbers. I am facing two problems with this:
    1) During the sync, the application tries to replace data on my Mac with data from the phone. Is there an option that I can set by which the information on the Mac is never overwritten by the information from the phone? I want information to go one way all time - from my Mac to the phone.
    2) After the sync, I discovered that not all the contacts had been imported. A few random contacts are not transferred from the Mac to the phone. I thought that this might have something to do with the fact that the phone used to be synced to my earlier install of Tiger. So I did a "master clear" and a "master reset" on the phone. But even after doing that, some of the contacts (different ones this time) were not synced. And due to the problem described in #1, iSync tried to replace all my existing contacts on the Mac with blank information on the phone.
What's the point of iSync if I have to check whether all contacts have been imported, and manually enter the ones left out. I checked for a software update on the phone, but there was none available.
I'd be happy to provide additional information to get this problem fixed.
    Thanks,
    Saurabh

I am having the same problem with Leopard 10.5.1 Isync and my razor V3 from Cingular. In addition the contacts in my address book are duplicated after syncing with my phone. Basically after using Isync my address book gets doubled and cluttered with names and no phone numbers, the data gets completly screwed up. Whats going on?

  • Isync 2.3 and Motorola V3r

Just buy a new Razr V3r (actual V3 also known as V3_O5) with firmware R4515G08.BD.43R.
Isync see it as V3 and accept to sync it but create 1 contact per phone number (1 contact with 2 phone number on the mac = 2 contact on the V3), doesn't sync all numbers and never sync adress and the worse is than it swap me all last name and first name.
I know their is the same problem with V3i.
    Is anyone got a solution?
ps: sorry for my poor english, it's not my native tong.

A possible answer to the issue of the phone not getting all of the phone numbers is that the Razr will not synchronize numbers that have tags different than its phone book can identify. If you create a new contact on the Razr, you'll see the categories that it will identify for a new phone number. I you use the "other" tag in Address Book, or have any number tagged with a name other than what the Razr uses, the numbers will not be synchronized. I discovered this after I had a phone replaced, and had to go back in to the contacts in Address Book and re-tag the numbers that were missing on the Razr.
After doing so, all contacts synch'd the missing numbers. Unfortunately, as you pointed out, the Razr does not support addresses, and will only alphabetize by first name.
    Happy synchronizing,
    Gary

  • Connect a PIC/MCU micro controller to serial port of phone

    Hello,
I am relatively new to j2me programming and i would lke to ask if it's possible to connect a MCU to the serial port of the phone and receive streamng data while the MIDlet is on?
If so how can this be done> Does it work the same way a serial connection? I connect the MCU to the USB pins then to the mobile phone.
Does anyone who have worked with this care to share their valuable experience? Thanks in advance.

Hi, i checked with the helpdesk from motorola and they replied that i require a license to access the proprietary interface (please refer to the reply below). I'm thinking ofusing Sony Ericsson k610i since it's JP-7. However, I wonder if they have similar issues with it.
It seems that since we are to interfacing with a PC, the allocation of a virtual port might be a problem, that'smy main concern.
    FAQ found in motorola website:
We'd like to connect a RS232 device to a RAZR V3 phone. From a Java API perspective this is possible via the CommAPI.
We have succesfully tested to connect the RAZR V3 Mini-USB with a PC via a USB-cable - and we were able to transmit data from the RAZR V3 to the PC (Hyper Terminal) and vice versa.
Which technology is needed in the RS232 device (no PC - just a stand alone RS232 device) to communicate to the RAZR V3 via the Mini-USB?
    Answer
We do not normally support the use of non-PC RS232 connections to current Motorola handsets. The only serial connection supported is serial-over-USB, where the handset is connected to a USB port on a PC, and the PC operating system assigns a virtual COM port to the USB connection for this purpose. Microsoft Windows is normally needed to meet this requirement.
Although RS232 functionality exists within the handsets, it is a Motorola proprietary interface only available to firms who licence the technology from us. Motorola currently licenses the CE Bus technology to selected 3rd party companies interested in building accessories for our PCS devices. Please contact Gene Eggleston ([email protected]) or telephone 847-523-4976 (USA) for information on the license and business arrangement. As a licensee you will receive a specification that details the access and use of Motorola's CE Bus.

  • "Wifi password incorrect".  Authenticating......PROBLEMS!!!  Our Razr M is crazy!

We have a Razr Maxx.  A few months back the wifi would not connect only at our home.  Outside, it would connect to other available wifi resources.  We contacted Verizon.  They say contact our ISP..We have a DSL line with HawaiianTel.  They walk us through the whole modem/wireless router setup/reset.  My Droid Ultra has no problem connecting to the wifi at home.  The Razr Maxx still wont connect saying that the password entered is incorrect.  HawaiianTel sends us a new modem/wireless router.  We set it up.  Laptops in home connect with no problem.  My Droid Ultra connects...no problem.  Razr Maxx??  Big problem.  It "sees" the connection but says password incorrect.  We contact Verizon.  They are clueless.  They put us in contact with Motorola Tech Support.  They do an over the air connect to the phone.  They, too, go through all procedure and cannot connect.  They say to mail them the phone.  A few weeks later the phone returns.  A note says hardware change.  I, personally, take out the internet connection already existing at home and redo all.  Everything connects.  Raxr Maxx...no connect.  I keep trying for an hour.  All of a sudden....success!!  Wifi available and connected.  Everything good.  Last night, 1-22-14, the Raxr Maxx shows no wifi.  We go through everything.  All laptops enjoying great connection.  Droid Ultra has great connection.  Razr Maxx goes on a trip away from home today.  It connects to other wifi.  What the heck is going on?  Can anyone answer this?  We are using Windows 7 Home Premium.  The wireless Network Adapter is a RealTek RTL8187SE Wireless LAN Adapter.  The Modem is a Motorola modem with built in wireless.  It is a DSL connection. We are using WPA2/Personal  for secure access.  All other devices in the home can connect.  The Raze Maxx sees the wifi connection and others,,,but will not connect.  I challenge all you supertechs with this one.

Someone on a different wiFi thread suggest this:
"I had the same issue. After receiving a replacement phone that did the EXACT SAME thing, I dug a little deeper. I had already scoured the discussion boards and not seen the fix. Then on a whim, we tried going to Motorola website. Come to find out, Motorola KNOWS of the issue. It is a compatability issue with Realtek wireless adapters on VISTA, Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 The fix is simple. Google realtek adapter and download the latest driver for your operating system. Windows 8 is from 1-15-14 I believe. Then you might have to change the settings on your adapter in the connections center of your computer to b/g not b/g/n. reboot and try. So far so good on mine."
I have no idea if this will help, just passing on what i read.

  • Charging Zen

I have a Zen MP and I know I can charge it with the usb cable that I have. I can also charge my Razr V3 phone with the MP usb cable. I noticed that I can't use the Razr charger to charge my mp3 player. Left it on all night and it only got half way done, but when I used it for a while it was actually depelted to less than /3. I tried enabling disk mode and locking the player before I connected the razr v3 adapter, and still no pulsating glow. Although there stil is a charge icon in the top screen.
I really dont feel like blowing 40 bucks for Creative's charger...the reason I'm asking is that I'm going to college tomorrow and parents are not letting me bring my computer so I will not be able to charge the player. I believe my room mate has a laptop but I don't know if I can use that to charge my player?

    Selayan,
The Zen Micro power adaptor was recently lowered to $9.99 in the US, ?8.94 inc VAT in UK.
The Razr V3 phone charger is probably a much lower amperage. Check to see if it shows the output. Most of the USB cell phone chargers I have seen are very low output. The Creative wall charger is 000mA or A, and will charge the unit quickly. The unit can also charge at standard USB power which is 500mA but is a slower charge.
3rd party chargers would need to meet the specifications of the USB Standards for voltage and current just like a USB port, and there are many on the market. Creative cannot vouch for the quality control or functionality of any of them other than the ones that we supply with our products or as accessories.

  • Problems connecting RAZR via Bluetooth

    Hey guys...
I have an iBook G4 1.33MHz running 10.4.7 but, for some reason, my RAZR will not pair with my iBook. It just will flat out not discover it.
I go to my phone, click on discoverable, and let that run. Meahwhile, I run the wizzard to connect and no matter if I choose mobile phone or any bluetooth device, my iBook fails to find my phone, even though it's 10 inches away.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Welcome,
I've done this so be patient; wait until you've actually hit the search function in the bluetooth setup utility. Then hit discover me on the phone [it probably won't work the 1st time]. Then hit search again and the phone [if necessary]. Just keep trying in this order first the Mac, then the phone, and you should get it, it is a little more difficult than other bluetooth devices.

  • 4G data connection but no 3G connection/razr

I have a Droid razr that has 4G data connection but not 3G. When I toggle to CDMA only the data connection is lost. I've tried rebooting, toggling between airplane mode, removing sim. card etc. I even did factory reset as instructed by tech support and no luck. Ideas? Thanks.

FWIW - This is also affecting new phone activations. Just got my phone in the mail today. Been trying to activate it for 5 hours w/o success. Customer support has no ETA for the restoration of service as of an hour ago. I'm now in a state w/o any phone service (my prev. phone was de-activated during the activation attempt).I'm in an area w/o 4g BTW. So the no-3g service on 4g phones makes sense as to why it won't activate.
Not a very good 1st impression so far!

  • RAZR M Unmounts SD Card When Connected to Charger

Seems like since I did the last update (could be coincidence) my Razr M will unmount my SD card when I connect it to my charger. It has done it more than once (every time since I noticed it was happening) and with both my home and car charger. SD card works after a reboot. SD card also works in a card reader on a windows PC. I did loose some files the first time it happened (changed several files, all not in a folder to 0Kb and a date of 1/1/1980) but none since then.
    RAZR M
    Android 4.1.2
    System 98.18.94.XT907
    Build 9.8.1Q-94
    Build Date Sep 25 14:55:25 CDT 2013

I also have had the exact same issue with the Razr M. It started after the last update. If my phone is powered on when connecting to my charger it has a triangle icon that apears and says the card has been unexpectedly removed. I power cycle the phone and then it is fine. If I connect to the charger when the phone is powered of first and then power on there is no issue. I assumed It was an issue with the update and would be corrected soon. Note: It happens every time, not just occasionally.

  • Adobe Connect Mobile issues on Motorola RAZR

While trying your Adobe® Connect™ Mobile application (version 1.7.5) on one of our latest Android-powered handsets--the Motorola RAZR (XT910)--we encountered a couple of issues that we thought you should know about. The text on the "whiteboard" will appear distorted when sharing between a PC and the handset, making it difficult to read.
    Steps to reproduce:
Launch the application client on both a PC and the device
Login with a username and password on the PC and as a guest on the device
Select "Collaboration" on the PC client
Select the "T" on the whiteboard for text
Select anywhere on the whiteboard and begin typing a note. Notice that when it shows up on the device the font can be difficult to read.
We hope that this feedback is useful to you in making your application the best it can be on the widest possible range of Android devices. Device specifications for the Motorola RAZR device can be found at http://developer.motorola.com/products/razr-xt910. Also note that you can get early and exclusive access to everything you need to create apps for Motorola's newest devices by joining our App Accelerator Program (AAP).

I believe it doe run on AIR.
What do you mean by native extensions? Do you mean objects you can load in the Share pod and have it work in the mobile app?
I know that you can load PPT(X), FLV, JPG, PNG, and MP3 file and they should display properly in the mobile app. MP4, F4V, and PDF may also work, but I'm not 100% sure on those.
I do know that SWF content does not currently work in the mobile app.

  • Connecting Razr Bluetooth to Ford Sync

Cant get Razr to connect to car which has sync, Ford 2012. It finds it and pin pops up but when I put in pin and click done phone says cannot connect. My Revolution hooked to it with no problem and wife has hers connected.

Further look into Sync My Ride shows instructions for access code for the not as smart smart phones. Upon display of a 6 digit code press the forward seek button once and the Sync will then provide a 4 digit access code. Usually "0000" or "1234".  The Razr was then happy to cooperate and connects etc nicely.
    Thanks for your reply.

  • Motorola V3 Razr modem connection to MacBook with Cingular / MacOS X 10.4.7

For many this is posting information you already know.
However, for some I hope this will be useful.
Have just spent the best part of a day getting a V3 Razr to work as a modem.
Cingular, Motorola and Apple tech support were almost equally unhelpful.
Finally found the following link from this page of Apple Discussions
    http://www.taniwha.org.uk/
It has MOST of the answers with the provision of the appropriate modem scrip. (I have paid Ross for his well deserved pint).
Some details for those who may run into the same hurdles as I:
    1. The download for the model script is a .sit file that must have Stuffit software for file decompression
    2. For my area of the USA, the following Cingular information is essential to configure the network connection
    a. account [email protected] (all caps)
    b. password CINGULAR1 (all caps)
    c. telephone number - must be blank as Ross directs in his readme file. Ignore all that *99 business that Cingular suggests on their website.
    d. CID worked with the "Generic3GCID1" modem script
    e. do read the readme text file with care
    However,
This is a very buggy thing.
Had to restart a couple of times including one of those unpleasant episodes when we unplugged the battery for a few seconds.
On our machine we get best results by
    1. having no programs other that the internet connection running when starting the connection process
    2. when the process aborts due to connection problems (about 1 chance in 3) closing everything down and starting from scratch
    3. making sure Safari is targeted to start at exactly the point on the Web where we need it with all login info prefilled
    4. carefully shutting down internet and internet connection software in the reverse order used to get in

MacBook   Mac OS X (10.4.7)   Bluetooth connection to Motorola V3 razr phone with Cingular service

I don't see a large number of people complaining about 10.4.7 so I conclude one of two things - your MacBook is defective and the problem just happened to show up with the update - it happens. Or your installation didn't go well. Many of us don't like getting our updates from the Software Update program - we prefer to get the updater ourselves. The download is larger because it isn't targeted specifically for our computer the way the automatic download is, but it seems to be more reliable. Or maybe we're just superstitious. At any rate, try downloading the update installer and apply it again.
