Connecting Nexus 5K to HP 3800 stack on vPC

As the title says, I am connecting a stack of 3800 switches to a Nexus 5K pair using a virtual Port Channel. However, the second connection never comes up, and in the one case we've had where connection 1 goes down, the second connection didn't take over. Is anyone out there doing this successfully?
Thanks,
Russell

  • I'm trying to connect SGE2010 and SGE2000 in a stack but it does not work

I have just bought 4 SGE switches. SGE2000, SGE2000P, SGE2010 and SGE2010P. I’m trying to connect them in a stack but it does not work. It is possible to connect SGE2010 and SGE2010P in a stack but the other models (SGE2000, SGE2000P) will not connect. I have reset all switches to default and connected the switches in a ring. The 24 ports units has been connected to port 12 and 24 and the 48 ports units has been connected to port 24 and 48The units seem to take the right please in the stack but the 48 units end up with light in all lambs.

Cane SGE2000/P and SGE2010/P really coexist in a stack?
According to Cisco’s website coexistence of SGE2000/P and SGE2010/P in a stack is possible.I have read all availably documentation and tried every ting I cane thing of. However I have not been successful in connecting these devises.
Is there anybody out there who has a stack with both 24 and 48 port SGE devises? I f there is what software version(s) is there installed on the devises?

  • WAD 7.0 Connection BW7.0 ABAP and BI stack JAVA ?? & WEBEX

    Hi experts,
My question is probably too simple but .....
I am from basis components and I have some littles questions..
    I have 2 systems :
    - 1 BW 7.0 ABAP stack only
    - 1 BI 7.0 JAVA standalone
I have configure UME and Webex between the two systems.
For testing, I use internet explorer on the portal...It's OK.
But consultants wants to use a "WAD 7.0"...
What i would like to know :
    - WAD could connect directly on the ABAP BW ? Or throw the BI 7.0 JAVA?
    - In case they could connect directly to the ABAP, a BI JAVA was necessary? SP 07  for abap STACK?
    Last question :
In my Bi portal user from abap stack are created by UME (from abap)  but tkey don't have any permissions...This is normal or my user mapping is wrong?
Thanks for your help in this new world for me.

    Hi Yadagiri,
Please check the reply from Carlos in the below thread
Re: increasing heapsize of java on WINDOWS 2003
Also check your sm59 RFC destination, i guess there is some problem.
Delete AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER(RFC connection between the Java engine and the ABAP engine) and create it again.
Hope tht will resolve ur issue...

  • Testing SSL Connections, differences between ABAP and JAVA stacks

    Hello,
I am trying to test an outbound SSL connection to a partner.   I already have multiple outbound connections to many partners, but this new one is causing an issue.   Our firewalls between the two sites are opened as required, I verified that I can telnet to the 443 port of their sever.   I then attempted to connect to their URL, via a Java SOAP message, and it is rejected.  Some kind of error regarding our handshake.
In an attempt to troubleshoot the issue I entered their URL in SM59 as a HTTPS connection, tested it, it worked fine.   Which indicates to me that the ABAP side works fine.
I do the same on the Java stack, via the SOA Manager: Destinations, and it fails.
"Error during ping operation: Error while silently connecting org.w3c.www.protocol.http.Http.Eception: Peer sent alert: Alert Fatal: unexpected message"
I was thinking that maybe the remote partner only allows specific types of SSL version connection, and the Java side is too low.  i.e. the partner only allows TLS v1, and we are attempting to use SSL v2.    Is there a place to set this on the Java side?  I know I can set inbound parameters on ICM via SMICM.
Any help or assistance would be most appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Michael Montone

    Hi,
I suggest that you verify if you use the same release of the SAP Cryptolib  for the ABAP and the Java stack.
This could explain a difference of support for SSL or TLS.

    Hello,
    Please check the following steps.
EPrint is a free service that allows you to print documents and photos from any mobile or network connected device to your HP ePrint enabled printer.
To enable the ePrint services, first complete these actions.
Connect to a network. Web services must be enabled for ePrint services to work.
Perform product updates. Your product must have all updates performed before it will allow you to enable ePrint. Once your printer is up to date, an information page will automatically print.
Register at the HP ePrint Center. Go to hpeprintcenter.com to register. Use the printer code from the information page to register your specific printer.

  • Problem connecting Nexus 5 to Scout

So I cannot connect my Nexus 5 (Android 4.4.2) to Scout, but Nexus S (Android 4.1.2) and iPhone connect fine. They are all in the same wi-fi network.
Any idea what could go wrong?
    Thanks!

My computer still never shows up on the Scout app as it does on all my other Android/iOS devices, but got it working now by connecting to 192.168.0.101.

  • Problems connecting Nexus One phone

    Hi,
    First post so be gentle!!
I have recently moved house and moved back to BT. I have opted for Option 3 Broadband/Phone and set up the Home Hub 2 as instructed and everything works fine.
The only problem is I cannot connect my Nexus One mobile phone to the wireless network. Previously, on the old network at my previous address, the phone connected to the wireless network with ease.
Just to be sure I replaced the Hub with another router and the phone connects to the wireless network, but obviously I would like to use the hub.
    Help please?

try changing from b/g/n/to just b/g

  • Connecting NEXUS 5548 1gig interface to 100mbps

    Hi,
I have a 5548 that I need to connect to a firewall that supports 100 Mbps only.
Can I configure interface speed on Nexus 5548 interface (GLC-T) to 100 Mbps inorder to connect it to the firewall??
    Regards,
    Sabih

    Hi Sabih,
The interfaces on a Nexus 5548 can NOT be configured as 100 Mbps.
If you wish to connect to the firewall via a 100 Mbps connection, you will need to make use of a Fabric Extender (Nexus 2000) that supports 100 Mbps.

  • Cannot connect Nexus 7 to Rezound mobile hotspot

    Hello,
I switch to VZW Share Everything which includes the Mobile Hotspot. I cannot get my Nexus 7 to connect to the mobile hotspot. I keep getting the message that there is no Internet. The hotspot turns on fine on the Rezound. I can get it working with some difficulty while at home but when Ieave home I have the problem. My N7 shows it's secured to the VZW hotspot network with WPA2. I've tried inputting my cell phone number as the password and then it hangs on Obtaining IP Address. What am I doing wrong???????????
    Thank you,
    Deb

I too have been trying to get the Nexus 7 to connect to my Rezound with zero luck...
I am using an <deleted> rezound and it is on the most current software using a a tiered data plan.
It makes every effort to connect but when attempting to get an ip address, if fails...
    anyone get an answer yet?

  • Connect Nexus 5600 and Qlogic

    Hi,
Have a new DC solution with Nexus 56128 switches running LAN + Native FC.
Storage Arrays shall be connected to the Nexus switches via 8G FC
Customer has Dell blade with Qlogic SAN switches, where existing zoning is done. Today these are connected to the Storage Array.
Is it possible to connect the Qlogic switches to Nexus and disconnect the Storage from Qlogic?
Dell blade server -> Qlogic FC switch -> Nexus FC switch -> EMC VNX Storage
Thinking about interoperability issues between Nexus and Qlogic.
    /Jorgen

    Hi,
No problem with that, just bear in mind that you have to configure NPV mode (or the equivalent qlogic name...) on the qlogic switch.

  • Connect Nexus 5548UP-L3 to Catalyst 3750G-24T-E Layer 3 Switch

    Please help!
Could anyone out there please assist me with basic configuration between Nexus Switch and Catalyst Switch, so that devices connected on the catalyst switch can talk to devices connected on nexus switch and vice-versa? In my current setup all servers on VLAN 40 are connected on the Catalyst Switch A as shown in the diagram below, and all desktops and all other peripherals are connected on the Catalyst Switch B.  I am required to implement/add a new Nexus Switch 5548 that in the future will replace the Switch A. From now I just need to connect both switches together and start moving the server from Switch A to the Nexus Switch.
The current network setup is shown as per diagram below:
SWITCH A – this is a layer 3 switch. All servers are connected to this switch on the VLAN 40.
SWITCH B – all desktops, VoIP telephones, and printers are connected on tis switch. This switch is also a layer 3 switch.
I have connected together the Nexus 5548UP and SWITCH A (3750G) using the GLC-T= 1000BASE-T SFP transceiver module for Category 5 copper wire. The new network is shown as per diagram below:
Below is the configuration I have created in both Switches:

    no, no secret aukhadiev
I made a mistake without realising and the interface e1/3 was showing "Interface Ethernet1/3 is down (Inactive)". After spending sometime trying to figure out what was wrong with that interface or switch, it turned out to be that i forgot to add the vlan 40. Now the config looks like this:

  • Connecting Nexus 5000 to HP Bladeserver using LACP

We are connecting the Nexus 5000 to an HP bladeserver. I know the NICs are HP NC553i. We have 2 5000 and create a port-channel. Everything works fine until we turn on LACP and then everything goes down.
    Thanks,
    Diane

LACP is a protocol negociation normally used between switches, not switch and host.
What switching module does the HP Blade Chassis have (uplinked to the N5Ks) ?
Pass through modules will not be able to create an LACP port channel unless the host can speak LACP.  Host OSes like ESX can only support a static port channel (using IP Hashing), but not LACP.
The NIC model is irrevelant for the most part.

    Robert
