Connecting nokia 5800 to online ovi store via PC

How can I connect nokia 5800 to online ovi store via PC. I do not have wi-fi and hence have to access online ovi store via PC Internet. Pls Help.

Can anybody here explain how do I download apps from Ovi store to my PC. I only see install or send link options in OVI store. How do I download the apps as an installable to my PC so that I could install the app in my mobile.
Any help will be much appreciated. Tons of apps in OVI store but I do not have wifi or gprs .

N97 can no longer connect to ovi store via wlan??

Hi there since the recent update on the N97 i have not been able to connect to the ovi.store via wlan. before the update i was always asked if i wanted to connect via contract wap of my wireless network. I have gone all through the settings and theres no longer the option to "always ask" for connecting. Anyone have this problem? or have a work around for me please as its doing my head in lol.
Also another gay issue my ring tone keep reverting back to the gay nokia tune is there anyway to stop this to???

Wait for the server to come back. If the server is down, then there is nothing you can do about it, and you must wait for apple to get the server back up and running.

5800 Problem with Ovi Store and Facebook - HELP PL...

I have had my 5800 for about 4 weeks now and had a great time using Facebook and downloading stuff from the Ovi Store when suddenly my problem appeared. When I try and log on to the Ovi Store it says at the bottom "you are logged in as Purpledwarfy but when I try to move onto another page I get an error saying "sign in failed, check your user name and password" I know that my username and password are correct because they work on all the other PCs I have tried it on. I have also tried to change my password and it hasn't made a difference.
On Facebook I log in using the same details that get me access on a PC and it looks like it is going to load my page but just goes straight back to the login page.
Has anyone else had the same problem and have you been able to fix it??

Hi, I got it fixed in the end. I found the nearest Nokia Service Centre Experts who ended up being Carphone Warehouse. I handed them my phone and went back to get it a couple of hours later and it was fixed. All they did was wipe the phone, after saving my contacts etc onto the memory card, and then rebuilt it. Working great now

Nokia 5800 - Share Online

I know its not a big problem, i am most probably being picky here and I have found a workaround using a program called pixelPipe but why when you go to the Share Online menu of the Nokia 5800 why is Facebook not in the list? - all I have on mine is ovi by Nokia, Flickr, and I think at one time vox showed up (never even heard of it before!)

Thanks I am trying a thing called furtiv mobile at the moment that seems to do the job, Yes I did add facebook to the pixelpipe, I am just wondering why they just dont include facebook in the share online as standard alongside flickr and twitter I was just wondering why you have to get a third paryt involved to add facebook.

Not certain whether you mean Nokia Store application itself not opening or fails to find either WLAN or Network access point. although should by default use whatever is Priority 1 in Internet folder in Settings > Connectivity > Destinations > Internet.

No WIFI in Settings/Connectivity NOKIA 5800

Hello everybody,
I have a Nokia 5800 and I would like to connect with the WIFI, but... surprise. There's no WIFI icon, nor LAN or anything similar. I know the path and stuff but I have the Network, Connec. manager and all the rest of the icons EXCEPT for the LAN/WIFI icon.
Can anyone help me to "summon" this setting?

i want 2 download applications for my 5800 via my pc.
i have installed ovi suite..
however it sends a link 2 my phone and i ave 2 download directly 4m my phone...
is der a way 2download and install de applications on my phone via my pc...

The latest version of Ovi suite allows you to download and install via your pc and via usb to phone !

Nokia 5800, sporadic: All sounds played via earpie...

After updating to the latest FW (V 50.0.005) I have the following problem. Sometimes all sounds are played via the earpiece (music, videos, youtube etc). Inserting and removing the headphones has no effect. The only way to resolve the problem is to reset the phone.
Anyone had the same problem?

No I did not. Have your tried reinstalling the firmware? You do that through NSU or Ovi Suite.

Nokia Internet Radio from OVI

Hello !
I have a friend and he have one Nokia 5230. I don't know the firmware version.
He downloaded directly to her phone Nokia Internet Radio from OVI Store via WCDMA.
When he want to open this aplication, the phone return this message: " Cannot open this file... Security reasons."
What is the problem ?

Are you using GPRS, 3G or WLAN ? May be it requires higher speed of Data Transfer !!!

I have recently updated my Nokia C7 with a new version of Market and now I can no longer update any programs. I can click on markets, which gives a black screen. Nothing happens, regardless of how long time I seem to wait. Pressing the middle buttom, can get me back to idle, checking the open applications (longpress middle key) reveals that "nokiastoreclient" is running.
I want to remove this faulty version or update again. How can I do this? (using the link above, just start the "nokiastoreclient", then nothing.

Ovi Store Application NOT WORKING

I've been experiencing this problem for a while already. Probably like many other users, I could not access Ovi store via its application. Everytime I open it, there's a error script saying " Application Initialisation Failed"
I'm using Nokia 5800 Xpress Music

I have exactly the same issue. Ovi store worked perfectly until i installed the latest version a few days ago. i've tried removing it from my phone and re-installing and this has had no effect i still get the same message 'application initialisation failed'
I am also using a nokia 5800xm.
if i find something out from a different source i will inform you of my findings.

My ovi store and certificate

My nokia N73 ovi store is not responding(not working) but at first it is working tried to update it but it would'nt come.all that can be seen there is this application is no longer available on your device. So can some one kindly help me outside there please!!! Secondly any time that i download an application and am trxing to instal it a dialoge box appears writen inside certificate expired.please help.!!!

Are you referring to accessing OVI Store via browser or application upon device?
AFAIK there is a version of OVI Store circulating for S60 3rd Ed. FP1 as installed to my N95 after "hard reset" but N73 is original S60 £rd Ed.:http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Online-services-from-Nokia-Nokia/N95-is-not-supported-by-ovi-store/m...
If you are referring to .sis applications sourced outside of Nokia/Ovi Store the Symbian certificate has expired upon a number of these now, you have to reset date upon device to a previous time perhaps start with 2010 and change it back to current date after successful installation; it can unfortunately be a matter of trial and error to hit the right one!

I have got a C6-01 phone and since i bought it when i try to login in ovi store it says "impossible to connect, try later". Before i had a nokia 5800express musik and ovi store worked, i checked my account (nickname and pass) and they're ok, can someone help me?

Nokia 5800 Car Navigation

I have a Nokia 5800 XpressMusic with Ovi maps installed in it. It used to work well with street by street voice navigation until recently I checked for an update and downloaded the latest one. Now that I'm trying to use car navigation again it says, "Car navigation cannot start at this location." I tried deleting Cities folder in E: memory card and reinstalled maps and voice guidance but it is still the same. What should I do?

I got the same problem Here. I am from Poland.
Two days ago I became an owner of Nokia 500 and I started playing with it. So I updated Nokia Suite to latest version (via updates), updated firmware to latest and installed latest maps.
Then, when I wanted to start navigating, the app says "you cannot start navigation from this location" (or sth similiar).
I tried deleting cities and qf - no success. I use integrated gps-positioning only.
Now, the funny thing - I also have Nokia 5230. It's with latest updates (also considering maps). Navigation in it worked like charm, but I thought that the maps I downloaded for 500 were messed up, so I uninstalled maps from 5230, cleared cities and qf and installed maps again. AND NOW I HAVE NO WORKING NAVIGATION in any phone
Except the "navigation cannot start..." there's also problem that I can set the route from point a to point b on the map anymore.
Tomorrow I will really, really need that Nav.
Please help.

Error message "Ovi store is currently not availabl...

Hi all !
This is my first post and I hope you guys can help me...
I am trying to install SKYPE in my N95 (running V35.2.001 13-10-09, RM160) and when I try to open the link sent from the OVI Store via SMS directly to my phone I get the above mentioned error.
I also get the same error message if I try to open the OVI Store app icon in the phone.
I am connecting via WIFI which works fine so it is not a connection issue.....
When I tried to download the SKYPE app directly from the skype.com/m site using my N95 I receive a SKYPE version S60_ V5.0 1.10(7) which would appear to be not compatible as the N95 is S60 V3
Any help in trying to solve these two issues will be much appreciated.
