Connecting Printer to Wireless Network

Attempting to connect a printer to a network wireless using WPS to no avail. It appears that the U-Verse Gateway model 3801HGV has the option disabled/idle mode. How to enable the WPS option? Any advice would be appreciated.

Enable WPS here -http://192.168.1.254/xslt?PAGE=C_2_1
You can press the WPS button there, too.
You will need the gui password on the label on the RG.

Well, you could install the drivers to the wireless printer in you other computers.

  • My Epson XP - 400 will not print wirelessly or via USB. The documents just sits in the print queue while the computer is "searching for the printer".  I set up the printer on the computer and it is connected to the wireless network.

I'm unable to print wirelessly or connected via USB with my Epson XP-400. The computer continues to say it's searching for the printer even though the printer is set up on the computer, the printer is connected to the wireless network and the USB is plugged into the computer.

  • Can't Connect Photosmart 7510 Printer to Wireless Network

This printer isn't new, but it's new for me (my mother gave it to me). However, I'm trying to set it up, and I can't get it to connect to a wireless network. When I go into the Wireless Network Setup on the printer, no networks are listed (even though several should be listed, mainly our home network). I tried entering the network information (name & password) manually, and it still didn't work. I've downloaded drivers and all, but I can't complete anything because while the printer is powered on, it's offline. I don't know if the drivers just don't work because I upgraded to Yosemite within the past few weeks (and the drivers are for the OS prior to that one), or what. I can't even begin printing because I'm dealing with this nonsense...

Did everything you said to do, and still had the same issue. The Wireless Network Test results say the following: WirelessWireless Working - FAILSignal Quality - Not Run ConnectivityConnected - Not RunDisconnect count total - 0Disconnect count (last hour) - 0Disconnect count (last 24 hours) - 0 NetworkNetwork Name (SSID) Found - Not RunOther networks detected matching your network name (SSID) - NoWireless Networks Detected - 0 SettingsPrinter Settings Consistent with Wireless Router Settings - Not RunNo Filtering - Not RunChannel - Not RunSecurity - Not Run

  • Trying to connect B209a to wireless network

Hi, I have a Photosmart Plus B209a-m All in One  printer.  I successfully connected it to my computer (running Windows XP) via usb cable.  I recently added a router (D-Link DI524) to my computer.  I used the cd that came with the printer to try to get the printer on the wireless network.  This is the error I received:
The PC and the printer are connected to different networks(192.168.15.0 and 192.168.0.0). They must be connected to the same network. This can happen when you use the manufacturer's default network name (SSID) and another nearby network is using the same name.
I wasn't sure how to fix this problem.  The software did see my network name in the list.  I looked in the paperwork that came with my printer, and managed to print a "Wireless Network Test Report directly from the printer.  This doesn't show any errors.  Any suggestions?
    Thank You!

152.....?  Are you sure it isn't 192?  Your initial post said 152....
OK, what happens when you type the printer's IP address into a browser (it should be on the Wireless Test Report)?
Also, download and run this utility.  I should help us.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 - Trying to connect to wrong wireless network.

I have cable wireless and due to provider requirements I have had to disable my hub wireless and plus in another router to the hub to provide wireless. The hub has a network name and the router has the same name but shows a "2" after it.  When I try and connect my printer to this itonly picks up the Hub and says wireless is disabled which is correct.  How can I get it to recognise the router instead?
    I hope this makes sense

  • Suddenly can't connect to home wireless network

All of a sudden I can't connect to my home wireless network - always has worked perfectly.  Now I get a box asking for the password, and although I type it in correctly it keeps saying "incorrect password."  I thought I'd delete it and re-establish it, but it doesn't show up in the Managed Network settings.  Any ideas what is going on?

On the problem computer, go to Control Panel > Printers and delete all instances of the printer.
Next, print a Wireless Network Test from the front of the printer (Network menu).  Note the printer's IP address.
    1. Make sure the printer is turned on and connected to your network. Verify that you can access the printer's internal web page by browsing to its IP address before continuing.
    2. Click >> Start >> Control panel >> Printers.
    3. Click the Add a printer
    4. Select Local printer
    5. Select Create a new port and select Standard TCP/IP Port and click Next button.
    6. Under Device type, select TCP/IP Device. Under Hostname or IP address, enter the printer's IP address. Click Next.
    7. Select Hewlett-Packard from the list of manufacturers and select and select your printer model. Click Next.
If your printer model was not listed, then select Have Disk, browse the HP CD that came with your printer and select the first file that starts with hp and ends with inf. Click Open then OK. Select your printer model. Click Next.
    8. If you are asked, use the currently installed driver.
    9. It will ask for the Printer name -- enter a new name or use the existing one. This will be the name of the printer that you select from other applications.
    10. You may be asked to share the printer. Choose NO.
    11. The Print Test Page box appears. Go ahead and print it.
    12. Click Finish.

  • Hp photosmart not connecting to the wireless network

    Hi,
I see that there are many questions on this theme that I have read.
i am still confused and have tried many of the solutions as I am unable to connect my printer to a wireless network and therefore not connect it with my mac running the latest os.
I am not the most tech savvy but can folllow instructions easily.
I have printed the network configuration page and it shows the network of the printer is offline. how do i get it to connect?
I have tried the push button method.
the printer is connected to a windows 7 computer that isnt wireless could this be the problem.
please help me i have been at this for 3 hours so far.
    thank u

    Hello @Ali1234,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I understand you are trying to connect your HP Photosmart C4780 to your Mac running the Yosemite 10.10 Operating system. I notice you have the PS C4780 connected to a Windows 7 computer, what you would need to do is connect using the USB to Wireless option. Let's put the Mac on hold for a minute and get on the Windows computer, follow the steps below:
The HP software automatically gathers network settings by temporarily connecting a USB cable from the printer to a computer that is connected to the new network. Follow these steps to reconnect the printer to the network.
Click the Windows icon (), click All Programs, click HP, and then click the folder for your HP printer.
Click USB to Wireless, and then follow the on-screen instructions. Do not connect the printer to the computer with the USB cable until prompted. At the end of the process you are prompted to remove the USB cable.
Restart any other computers on the network that use the wireless printer.

Once you have the PS C4780 connected to your wireless network, let's go ahead and work with the Mac. Because you are using the Yosemite 10.10 Operating system you must install the printer using the Apple Updates. Please click on the link below, this document explains how to install the print driver on a Mac for a USB or a network connection. The OS X v10.10 Yosemite driver for your printer is available through Apple Software Update (ASU). Additionally, you can perform basic print jobs using AirPrint without installing a driver.
Installing a Mac Printer Driver Using Apple Software Update
Be sure to check out the FAQs at the bottom of the document as some of the features may be limited or there are workarounds.
    I hope this helps!

  • 3510 all in one having trouble connecting to new wireless network

Ok - just to update, at least the drivers are downloadable now ... I'll see if that resolves my issue.

Hi guys.  I just switched to a new modem through my ISP (Rogers) that has a built in router and a much faster connection.  (Previously, this 3510 printer was working just fine over my network with a modem and a router that was separate.)  My computer is hooked into the internet via a direct cable and everyone else in the household connects via wireless, which has been set up and works well.  For some reason though, my 3510 refuses to play nice with the modem and connect to the network.   I've tried plugging it in via usb cable, then going into the settings and clicking on the "convert a usb connected printer to wireless" option.  I hit "yes, access the computer or router", then next, it finds my wireless network with no trouble and I type in the required password and "next" - it then takes a while to go through it's "setting up printer on network" .... and then after a while, I get a "MAC address filtering may be enabled on your wireless router" error.  There IS no MAC filtering.  I have "allow all" set on the router.  This shouldn't be an issue.   Has anyone else had this problem?  Is it just a thing with the newer modem/router combos and these older HP printers?  I tried to update the driver, but your website doesn't seem to be letting folks do that at the moment (some error you're fixing, it says?). If you have any suggestions on how I could get past this problem, I'd really appreciate it.  It's driving me NUTS.  Thanks!  All the best, -- Jodi

  • Airport Express can't connect back to wireless network

Here's the situation. There was a power glitch in our neighborhood that knocked our linksys wireless router offline. We have since gotten that back up and running. Meanwhile, our 2 Airport Express (used for iTunes only) went yellow and wouldn't rejoin the network with a hard reset. I have been trying to do the factory reset. The lights do their 4 green blinks but when the Airport Utility (not Airport Setup Utility - is that gone?) tries to rejoin the expresses to our wireless network we get the following error:
AirPort Utility was unable to find your base station after restarting.
The settings for this base station have been successfully updated, but there was a problem re-joining the wireless network or finding the base station. You may need to select your network from the AirPort menu and try again.
I am confused. We are using WPA2 personal encryption and I have included that info in the Airport Utility so it's not a password problem. I am sure I'm missing something completely stupid.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.

  • MacBook Pro cannot connect to a wireless network

I am having the following problem with my MacBook Pro trying to connect to a wireless network using a 2WIRE Gateway wireless Router from Bell that worked perfectly until last night. My network preferences pane is saying "AirPort has the self-assigned IP address 169.254.227.XX and will not be able to connect to the Internet." I'm not a techie and I've tried everything I know and cant get my MacBook to connect to the internet using the wireless network in my home. I'm using ethernet connected directly to my router for this! It's killing me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

OK. The wireless network was selected. In the Preferences / Network pane I removed Airport by selecting it and hitting the - button and then created a new Airport by hitting + and selecting Airport. I'm getting the same result. Full network signal once the ethernet cable is connected. Greyed out icon with ! once I remove the ethernet cable and no internet. I appreciate your help so far. Any other thoughts? We also have an iPad, iPhobe, iPod, and two iMacs on the same network. All of them are connected no problem. My Macbook also still connects to the network in my workplace no problem. This all just started happenening yesterday and I don't believe I changed or upgraded anything. I just came home and it had stopped working.

Try the following to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

  • Upgraded 4s to iOS8 and can't connect to certain wireless networks anymore

I have an iPhone 4s that I updated to iOS 8.  Prior to update, I was using iOS 7 (whatever the latest iteration was), and was able to connect to various wireless networks. Following the update, I am no longer able to connect to the wireless network at my place of work.  It tries to connect, does so briefly, and give me an authentication request (screenshot attached). Blank username/passwords don't work, neither does the network name/password combo.  Choosing cancel will revert the connection back to 3G.
To try and fix the problem, I have "forgotten" the connection, re-started the phone, and neither has worked I have reset my network connections, and it worked immediately after the reset.  The phone was inactive for a while, and upon unlocking, it had reverted to 3G.  When I tried to re-connect, it gave the same errors already stated.
I no longer have a back-up from before the upgrade, so I can't go back to 7.  My wireless connection on my home network is fine.  Nothing has changed with the work wireless since it was working with my iOS 7. It uses a WPA-Personal security, and there are several repeaters for the signal throughout the building.
What is going on and how can I fix it?

  • Unable to connect to home wireless network with my iPod touch

I've had my iTouch for several months now and I'm still not able to connect to my wireless network at home. I've tried the resets and other suggestions I've found in the discussion groups but nothing has worked.
I have an older Netgear Router MR814v2 and it is unsecured. It is attached to my old desktop, HP Pavilion running Windows ME, which is not able to run the itunes software. My HP laptop is where my iTouch and iTunes software is installed.
The iTouch displays my network with good signal strength, but when I try to connect I get the "unable to join the network "NETGEAR".
Going to my router, it does not recognize my iTouch as an attached device. Why is that and what am I missing?
Thank you for all suggestions and your help.

I tried powering down the router. When it's off the iTouch does not recognize the network and then when it's powered on again, the iTouch recognizes the network. Unlike the public wi-fi spots that my iTouch responds to, where all the info like IP Address, Subnet Mask, Router, DNS etc are populated in the settings...my iTouch does not populate these fields at home even though it recognizes the network. I still get the unable to connect to network error. Could it be that my router is antiquated and can not support the iTouch? Like I said earlier, my Router does not recognize the iTouch as being attached to it.
