Connecting Samsung 5500 TV to WI42WR router

I bought a Samsung UN48H5500AF television.
I am trying to connect wirelessly to my MI42WR verison router.
The TV sees my wireless network, however when I attempt to join the network I am unable.
The setup asks for the router PW, but the error message says the PIN is wrong.  This mixing of terms is confusing.
I can connect to, and manage, my router through my PC. So its not a PW issue.
Any help would be appreciated!

PIn would imply it things you are trying to connect via WPS which the Verizon version of the Actiontec router does not currently support.  Note the passphrase(sometimes called password) is normally a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters.  Letters are case sensitive.
Pass keys are normally listed in Hexadecimal (i.e number 0-9,a-f) The a-f represent 10-15 in hexadecimal and are not case sensitive.

  • My new Apple TV  and my Samsung 5500.

my new Apple TV doesn't work with my Samsung 5500. It won't get started.
HELP!!!!  Someone said I need a LinkStick Adaptor.
How can I get my Samsung to accept the Apple TV?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Unfortunately, a number of users appear to have encountered this problem. Some of these users have reported that the problem just disappears the following day or shortly after. Other users have found various other solutions to this problem.
Firstly, are you receiving any date and time errors when you turn on your Apple TV?
Check that you are properly connected to the Internet, by ensuring that you have a proper IP address and not one starting with 169. Also check that your location for the iTunes Store is set correctly, if so you might try changing it and then changing it back.
If the problem persists try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds, or resetting it using the reset option under general. You should also try restarting your router, or if this doesn't work you might like to try a restore.

  • Connecting Samsung Wireless Printer w/MacBook

Im having great difficulty trying to set up wireless printing between my MacBook and a Samsung ML-2955DW wireless printer. I wanted to check in on these forums first, before calling Samsung, because, admittedly, I need help with the basics. And, I would like to gain a better understanding about what it is Im supposed to be doing before speaking with them.
    The "Players" are as follows:
    -MacBook 2GHZ Intel Core2 Duo... w/System 10.5.8
    -(2006) PowerMac G5... w/System 10.4.11
    -Samsung ML-2955DW Printer
    -Airport Express Brick 802.11n
-Realtek WLAN Wireless Wifi USB Adapter
My first question is... is this even possible with the set-up that I have? My G5 does not have Airport built in. I had to buy the Wireless Wifi USB Adapter to plug into the back so that my MacBook could link with it.
I was going with the notion that it is possible and tried to set-up the printer according to what the Samsung instruction book calls an Infrastructure Mode Set Up; that is–connecting to the printer via a router. For this set-up they show a diagram where the supplied USB cable connnects directly into the back of the Desktop computer.  The directions continue with how to change the IP address, Subnet Mask, etc... and then they end. So am I to assume that if I am able to complete the installation process to my Desktop computer I will then be able to install the driver on my MacBook and be able to print wirelessly? I have tried this method with no success at all.
The furthest I got with trying to get a connection was by following directions posted on MacRumors for another wireless Samsung model. They instructed connecting the printer directly to the computer with an ethernet cable (not sure if they meant to connect to the desktop or laptop, I connected it to my desktop, as it wouldnt work at all connecting it to the laptop). I was able to get the IP, Subnet, etc.. info from the printer by doing this and changing it to my network settings via their Sync thru Web method. However, in the end, I could not change the TCP/IP setting to DHCP or set up the wireless printing.
Thank you in advance for any help with this, I can surely use it.

This is for Snow Leopard, which you show you're using - might be of some help. I have a Canon MG8120 which I print to with ease (scan, too). During your setup, you should have had the printer 'seen' on the network.
    Regards,
    Clinton

  • Is this possible: SNC connection from SAP GUI to SAP Router, and ...

    Hi,
    I have (stupid perhaps) question.
    Is this scenario possible:
SNC connection from SAP GUI to SAP Router, and non-SNC connection from SAP Router to SAP System.
I know how to set up scenario like this:
    SAP System --- (non-SNC conn) --- saprouter1 --- (SNC conn) --- saprouter2 --- (non-SNC conn) --- SAP GUI.
    Best regards,
    Marek Majchrowski

    Wolfgang,
To be sure myself and Marek understand, can you confirm the different scenarios supported:
    Scenario 1:
    SAP GUI --- (non SNC conn) --- saprouter1 --- (SNC conn) --- saprouter2 --- (non-SNC conn) --- SAP System
With this scenario, it would be possible for a user to logon using SAP GUI onto the SAP System, but without SAP GUI SNC.
    Scenario 2:
    SAP GUI --- (SNC conn) --- saprouter1 --- (non SNC conn) --- saprouter2 --- (SNC conn) --- SAP System
With this scenario it would be possible to logon to the SAP System using SAP GUI, and using SNC authentication.
Also, with this scenario the SAP GUI software and SAP System software would consider this to be similar to:
SAP GUI -- (SNC conn) -- SAP System
    Scenario 3:
This is the scenario mentioned by Marek in his initial question:
SAP GUI -- (SNC conn) -- saprouter1 -- (non SNC conn) -- SAP System
With this scenario it will not be possible to logon to SAP System using SNC, and only possible if the SAP GUI is configured to not use SNC. In other words the SNC connection between SAP GUI and saprouter1 is available, but cannot be used.
    Thanks,
    Tim

  • Can't connect Samsung WIFI cell phone to Tmobile using Airport time capsule

I am using Tmobile for cell phone service and Comcast for high speed internet. I am unable to mske a WIFI cell phone connection. I get Tmobile ISP errors. Talked with Tech support from Apple, Tmobile and Comcast.
Took the phone and the time capsule to the local Bridgeport apple store. They managed to get the connection up and running with my router. My phone also worked with their store network. We had to open UDP ports 500 and 4500 both ways and also IP protocols 50 and 51 both ways on the time capsule to make it work.
With the same settings, it does not work at home using Comcast.
    Help is appreciated.

I still can't use it the way I was hoping because it then becomes a T/M back-up disk and not a normal usb/firewire disc.
You are first mounting the drive on the desktop, correct?
Not sure what you mean here.
You can drag/drop files normally or copy/paste files to the drive icon on the desktop, just as you would a normal drive that is displayed on the desktop.
Or, double click the drive icon on the desktop and drag/drop files into the open window there.
Tell us the steps that you are using to mount the drive on the desktop. What happens after each step?

  • My new HP officejet pro 6830 crashes when I connect to my Asus RT-N66U router

OfficeJet Pro 6830 crashes when connected to network (Asus RT-N66U router)
I've just taken delivery of an OfficeJet Pro 6830. I've installed the ink cartridges and it seems to be able to print copies and test pages, but I can't get it to connect to my network. Here's what I've tried:
    Using the Wireless Setup Wizard
I selected my network from the list and entered my WPA key. It says it's trying to connect, then the following happens:
    1. Briefly (for less than a second) a screen pops up showing that it has successfully connected to the network.
    2. Briefly (for less than a second) the screen flashes blue with a "power" icon and the text "B8B2A4F8" (which I presume is an error code).
    3. The screen display changes to "Printer Error: There is a problem with the printer. Turn the printer Off, then On."
    4. After restarting the printer, it complains that it has not been shut down properly.
Any further attempts to connect yield the same results.
    Ethernet connection
If I power the printer on while it is connected via an Ethernet cable to my network, after about 10 seconds it crashes as described above (steps 2 and 3) without me doing anything at all.
I did manage to get it to connect to a WiFi hotspot on my mobile phone (and I checked for firmware updates, but unfortunately there were none available), so it seems there's something about my network that the printer doesn't like. I have no idea what that could be, however. Does anyone have any ideas?

    Hello Shawnondrums,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having an issue with the printer shutting down when attempting to connect to the wireless network.
A very important step that gets easily over looked is, please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Please click on the following link that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.
Once the printer is back on, please use the on/off button to do a proper shut down and restart.  This will also do a semi power reset on the printer.
If the troubleshooting does not help resolve your issue, I would then suggest calling HP's Technical Support to see about further options for you. If you are calling within North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, click here: click here.
    Thanks for your time.

  • Problem connecting wirelessly from iMac to NETGEAR router, get invalid password message with WPA and WPA-2 encryption in place but if I remove them, so no security, can connect without a problem. Help!!

Problem connecting wirelessly from iMac to NETGEAR router, get invalid password message with WPA and WPA-2 encryption in place but if I remove them, so no security, can connect without a problem. Help!!

Thank you for your suggestion but I have already had a couple of phone sessions with NETGEAR support and they don't see any problems with the router settings etc. They referred me to Apple support, who helped me discover that it is possible to communicate with the router but only if I turn off the encryption/security software, which I don't want to do. The frustrating thing is that I can connect wirelessly from a laptop running Windows 7 and two Anroid smart phones, with WPA-2 in place, without a problem. Do you have any other ideas?

  • Wireless connection to D-Link DIR-655 router

I just got a MBP and I can't connect wirelessly to my D-link router (WPA password protected; wired connection works great). Aiport sees the router, asks for the password which I enter, and then I get the message "the selected network uses and Access Control List.. and this computer is not on the list." I've tried to add the MBP to my network using the Network Magic process for adding new devices (which worked just fine to wirelessly connect my PC laptop from work), but it can't seem to find the MBP. I tried the steps suggested by iVmichael to someone having a similar problem April 5-6, and also tried disabling my network lock, but so far haven't found the magic combination. Suggestions?
    MacBook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.8)   D-Link DIR-655 router
MacBook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

I had a similar problem and I needed a second computer (B) using a wired connection to the router to allow the other one (A) in. This is what I did:
    1. Using the wired computer (B) I opened up the network so any computer could join the network wirelessly.
    2. I joined the network with (A) wirelessly.
    3. Once I had successfully joined the network with (A) I used the wired computer (B) to do a search for new computers so (A) could be registered in the Access Control List.
    4. Using (B) I closed the network again.
    5. Now I could join the network with (A) wirelessly without any trouble.

  • Do i have to hardwire connect the Time Capsule to my router?

do i have to hardwire connect the Time Capsule to my router?
My plan was to just add it to my wireless network and keep it for security away from my mac and in a completely different part of the house.

You can but it is a NOT recommended method.. it will be slow and unreliable.

  • You must have connected the Time Capsule with a router that does not work with my direct cable from my ISP

you must have connected the Time Capsule with a router that does not work with my direct cable from my ISP

I tried to answer in your other post.. please stick to one thread ..
What method of internet do you have.. is this fibre install.. if so the TC should just plug in and use dhcp in router mode.. press and hold the reset and it will go back to router mode by default.

  • How to wifi connect mac to canon mg6120-no router

New macbook pro and canon mg6120 printer. How do i get them to talk directly to one another without a router?  Apple store rep said "yes" it can be done.

    Hello Joan,
I believe what the rep was suggesting is that you can configure the device using an ad-hoc connection. That is to say have them wireless communicate with one another and not use a router. Unfortunately the support documentation for this device is pretty specific - http://usa.canon.com/app/pdf/wireless/additl_MG6120_mac.pdf
It DOES NOT support ad-hoc connections, thus you'd need the router in the equation. I recommend contacting the store or the rep you spoke with for clarification. Because unless they know how to do it, the documentation is pretty clear that it is not supported.

OK. Through some non-intuitive forum labeling on Apple's part, you found the forum for pre-2006 iMacs. I'll ask the Hosts to move it for your to the Intel iMac section.

  • Not able to connect my Iphone to my WRT54GS router with security enabled

As the subject line states, I'm not able to connect my Iphone to my WRT54GS router when the security is enabled. When ever I attempt to connect to my network with my phone it always tells me the password is incorrect. I have double checked the password in the easylink advisor and it matches up. I have also tried both WPA and WEP with the same result, I know that the wireless is working on the router as I turned the security off and was able to connect to it. I updated the firmware this evening also with no changes. If anyone could help me with this issue it would be much appreciated.

First of all, in the router, give your network a unique SSID. Do not use "linksys". If you are using "linksys" you may be trying to connect to your neighbor's router. Also, in the router, set "SSID Broadcast" to "enabled". This will help your iPhone find and lock on to your router's signal.
To connect using WEP, enter WEP "key 1"  (found in the router)  into the iPhone, not the WEP password or passphrase.
To connect using WPA, make sure that there is not an encryption nomenclature problem.  For example, WPA is not the same as WPA with AES.  Please note the following:
WPA    =   PSK    =   WPA with TKIP  =  WPA   personal
    WPA2  =   PSK2  =   WPA with AES   =  WPA2 personal
I am not certain, but your iPhone probably does just ordinary WPA  (not WPA with AES).  Assuming that this is correct, then the router should be set to:
    "WPA personal"  with  "TKIP"
Also, in the iPhone, be sure to delete the entry for your unsecured connection to your router, before you try to input info regarding the secured connection to the router.
    Hope this helps.

  • I'm not able to connect to internet through my wifi router, which is Sitecom 150N working fine with pc

I'm not able with ipod touch to connect to internet through my wifi router, which is Sitecom 150N working fine with pc

Your router may not have given your iPod a valid IP address when the iPod requested it. To check on this go to Settings > Wifi > your network name and touch the ">" to the right to see the network details. If the IP address shown starts with 169 or is blank then your router didn't provide an IP address and you won't be able to access the Internet.
Sometimes the fix for this can be as simple as restarting your router (remove power for 30 seconds and restart). Next, reset network settings on your iPod (Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings) and then attempt to connect. In other cases it might be necessary to update the router's firmware with the latest from the manufacturer's support web pages.
If you need more help please give more details on your network, i.e., your router model and version (the 150n designation is not a unique model), the wifi security being used (WEP, WPA, WPA2), is MAC address filtering being used, etc.
