Connecting suite 3.8.48 to 520

W7/Office2010 Outlook/Lumia520/PCSuite 3.8.48.
Want to synchronise 520 with Outlook. Connection with pc works.(520 is seen by either pc and Windows phone) Suite says 'no divice found'. Can't add 520 to suite. According to iwei number it must be possible to connect and synchronise 520 with suit/outlook. What to do next?

You do not have to use any other app. You make Outlook sync with your Microsoft account just like it is explained in the link I provided earlier. This will make the contacts and calendar automatically sync with your phone without the need for a cable or any action from you.
If you must use offline sync you can use any of the 3rd party apps available to do this (through Wi-Fi).

Can not Connect Playstation3 (PS3) to my touchsmart 520-1137d

Excuse me, this is my first time posting here. I bought the TS 520-1137d, with Windows 7 Premium 64 bit, about two weeks ago. It has HDMI input port, or that what i thought it would be. I tried to connect my PS3 with HDMI Cable using the HDMI input port, but nothing happened. I already tried the solution in http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&docname=c03058558 , but when i push the Menu button, nothing happened. There is no AV button on my Remote Control either. I then tried to connect my netbook wich has HDMI output port, and connect it to the Touchsmart, still nothing happened. There is no Error Message. I dont remember ever having changed something before i tried to connect the HDMI.
I already confirmed that my HDMI cable, PS3, and netbook all works just fine when i connected them to my TV.
Is there any driver ineed to download for this problem, or it is just my unit?

Bluetooth Handset - Lumia 520 cant find headset

I got a plantronics M50 Bluetooth headset and my Lumia 520 can't find it. Why won't it connect? Its works for my other devices that have Bluetooth.

Are you able to connect another Bluetooth headset to the 520? Disable the Bluetooth on both devices and enable them. Check if the phone will be able to find the Bluetooth headset this time. You may refer to below link for the Plantronics M50 user manual.

PC Suite Installation hangs - any new tricks?

Hi all,
I've been trying to install PC suite on my computer but without any results. My operating system is 32bit Vista and I've tried to install 6.84.10.3 & 6.85.12.0 versions of PC suite.
6.84.10.3 hangs 61%/20% and 6.85.12.0 hangs on 40%. I think that it has something to do with Cable Connectivity Driver installation but haven't figured out the problem...
I've also tried solutions mentioned in other topics in this forum, installing without internet connection, killing the setupt.exe during installation etc. The computer is not running Roxio roxwatch.exe.
Can't clean up the computer by using Nokia PC suite cleaner because it doesn't support Vista....etc. Any help would be appreciated, I think my multimedia phone is quite useless without PC suite.

Hi all, solution found:
After some research I came up with the following detour to get the PC suite installed and work: From the register editor I found that windows makes an installation folder to: Crogramdata\Installations\(then a folder which is named by a code)\(subfolders) (Programdata is hidden folder)
The subfolders contain all the packages from which the normal PC suite installer installs the different parts of the program. There were CCD, PCCS, Nokia_PC_suite and VC80_x86 folders. All those folders included setup subfolders which contained installer-files. I simply installed all those parts separately with their own installers and everything works OK! First I installed CCD (Cable Connectivity Driver) then the PCCS (PC Connectivity Suite) and finally I installed Nokia PC Suite.
PCCS has to be installed before Nokia PC suite program itself.
Installation was succesfull and there were no errors during it. I also tried to install the VC80_x86 but nothing happened... Does any one know what is it? But so far so good, PC suite works.
I guess the main installer is not working and is the cause for hanging the whole installation.
Hopefully this was helpful if someone has encountered same kind of problems.

I have Vista Ultimate and have just tried to install the latest nokia pc suit but it hanged the first time on 36%/10% and now has stuck at 10%/5%. Any idea how I can get it installed?

I had the same problem on XP.. drove me insane. Go to Add/Remove programs, remove all Nokia related programs, and the PC Connection Suite (v important) Next download the PC clean up tool from the Nokia site and set it to ..."Clean my computer" Once this is done download the previous version of the PC suite... Follow this link.

Any outdated Mac Programs on MacBook Pro '09 that I can or should delete to save space?

There are some Mac Programs that came with my late 2009 MacBook Pro that I **think** are outdated / unsupported and I am wondering if I can or should delete them to free up critical space. (I use my MacBook Pro for genealogy files and kids' photos and videos so I often get a critically low on space issue -
like down to 25GB or less out of 250GB).
Some programs I have never really used, but I hate to delete anything that came with the Mac that I might one day have a use for or want if I was to sell it or
trade it, but I think some programs are no longer supported.
Among these that I have questions on are iWork '09, iWeb that I think may no longer be supported. (Never used them anyway really - I have pages and Numbers that may be part of iWork, but I also have the Mac version of Office installed). I have 2 different versions of Pages. I think the old version
(which I had created some documents in) was the old purplish ink jar icon and the newer one looks like a piece of paper with a pencil or pen icon.
I have created files in the old version, but not the new version. Can I safely delete the old icon / app without affecting those old files?
I never used the old version of Numbers or Keynote, so I already deleted the old icons for those.
Others that I am not sure if I need or what came originally with the Mac vs. downloaded later (like from the app store) include:
Apple Script, ArcSoft Connect Suite, Automator, Dashboard, Dictionary, DVD Player, iDVD, iMovie, PanoramaMaker, PhotoBooth, Tech Tool Deluxe,
the Unarchiver, VirusBarrier Express.
GarageBand came with, but I have never used it. Hate to delete it unless I really can't afford it.
To my knowledge, I have never used any of those except perhaps DVD Player or iDVD, whichever one can or does play a movie unless it will play a movie
without either of those.
If any of the above are critical or recommended to keep either for proper functioning in general or to do certain recommended things (like play a DVD and I must have one of the DVD / movie ones in particular), then I need to know that as well as what I can safely delete without either significant issue or
shooting myself in the foot.
I mean, a Dictionary would be nice to have in theory, but probably not at the sacrifice of space because I usually just Google a word for the definition anyway.
Unarchiver is apparently an unzipper, but not sure I have ever used it unless it was seamless and not obvious. Does Mac have some internal unzipper utility
that could be unzipping my files behind the scenes without my being aware of it.
By the same token, if there are any others that I would / should have on my computer that are known to be useless (GameCenter?), please advise as well.
These are the kinds of things I need to know as well as what some of these are / do.

Nokia S/W Updater V1.3.0en not working

Hi ppl
The latest version of the Nokia S/W updater or rather the firmware updater is not working..... The application crashes everytime it is started.... Trying to use older versions of the S/W is of no use as a message from the updater insists on installing the new version for usage.
Are any of u facing the same problem?
If there are any patches to this problem pls post the patch.

Did you try and summon some System Information in Nokia PC Suite? To do this, go to Help and click About Nokia PC Suite (sometimes just About...) Then, in the dialogue that appears, click the "System Information" button, and check whether either the "Cable Connectivity Drivers" or the "PC Connectivity Suite" is installed. One of those should be installed at least. If both show NOT INSTALLED, something is going wrong in the recognition of the signatures within the package. This is quite a bit of a technical explanation, but it comes down to the fact that one or more of the registry hooks aren't created in the right way, which would then cause Nokia PC Suite to assume the drivers not to be present.
By the way, can you use other Nokia PC Suite Applications without problems? I'd suggest you try Nokia Content Copier (menu item may be called Backup & Restore). If this application does work, then the drivers should be OK. If the phone isn't recognised at all, please try to connect the phone to a different physical USB port on the system. You might want to connect it directly to a USB port on the back of the PC, so as to rule out the problem being caused by any non-powered USB hub. Please note that ANY USB connector on the front of a PC is referred to as a USB Hub, because they are not located directly on the system's circuit board.
I'd think that, previously, you were able to connect the phone to any old USB port on your system, as you should be. The above step of connecting the phone to a totally different USB port is to check that there are no conflicts being caused by the sloppy way in which Windows sometimes tends to deal with USB Device Management. Windows detects each device on each USB port. This means that, should you connect a device to port A at first, it will be detected. If you connect the very same device to port B the next time, then it will be detected AGAIN, as opposed to the way *Nix deals with these situations: the device's connection parameters will be re-used, instead of the device driver being installed twice.
I'd suggest that, if you seem unable to use Nokia PC Suite at all (i.e. your phone is not recognised), you try to use a different port. If the problem still persists and you do have the option to use a different PC for this time, please try whether you CAN get NSU to work on that PC. If you don't have this option, and your phone becomes usable again but NSU still crashes, please post the EXACT message with which the system crashes, and state a crash type (i.e. BSOD, Microsoft Error Report, Nokia error code, etc...).
BSODs shouldn't be occurring in your case, as BSODs generally tend to be caused by genuine driver and/or hardware conflicts or issues with memory.

I think there is a connection between this error and bug #520 in kodos bug

Sometimes I get also CLI0116E-Error (invalid transaction state).
Anyone an idea?

There are a couple possibilities. First, it might be some JDBC driver
mismatch, as reported at:

The other possibility is that cached PreparedStatements are being timed
out on the server side and closed. You can investigate disabling the
statement timeout on the server side (see the DB2 docs), or else you can
disable prepared statement pooling (which will result in a small to
medium performance hit). You can disable pooling by setting
com.solarmetric.kodo.impl.jdbc.StatementCacheMaxSize to 0. See:

Please let us know if the problem persists, and, if so, some more
details like when this happends, how reproducable it is, and a more complete

NOKIA 6280 charging,dust inside screen and shutti...

HI,
my phone will only charge from the mains if i lay it on its side and wiggle the power connector about??!!!
I also seem to have dust and dirt inside the top left hand corner of the screen
ans if im browsing the net,or sending a text message the phone will just literally power off..then come back on after approx 5 secs..
any ideas???
its never been dropped and is only about 6 months old????!!

Dust inside is only remedied by taking the handset into your local nokia repair centre ,as your handset does not support express covers. So if you did try to remove the cover yourself the 2ry limited warranty would become invalid.
Regarding the issue of charging it could either be your charger or handset. If you have a spare charger then try that. It could also could be because the connecters on the handset have dirt/dust etc inside them.
Again the repair centre would clean these and check the connections out too.

How to convert lotus notes .nsf to outlook .pst?

Dear guru,
I'm looking for the way to convert my notes email archive(.nsf) to outlook mail file. I found that there are some commercial 3rd party tool doing this job which is tooooo expensive for me. Is there any good way to convert .nsf to .pst or to move my mail data to outlook for FREE?
I tried a method which uses localhost mail server to send notes mail to outlook locally by IMAP(http://www.benshoemate.com/2007/11/09/how-to-upload-all-your-old-archived-email-to-gmail-from-outlook-lotus-notes-and-unix-pine/) but failed because my company blocked IMAP and POP3 incoming for security reason.
I'm using lotus notes 7.0.2 and Outlook 2007. Does notes connector work for this problem?

Hi there, After mananging to install v 6.82.22 of the PC Suite sotware, when I try to connect the phone to my desktop I receive a message that the connection via USB failed, as the name E61 is already in use as a ?service name? I deleted the connection in device manager and received the same message when reconnecting again. The deivce was synchronised recently to my laptop which was successful (but to version 6.7 there) . I assume that I cannot also connect this E61 to my desktop now because a partnership is in use on another computer. My question is this? How do I get the desktop to reognise the device when installed? Is it possible to change the name of the device to allow it to be sync'd to my desktop?

TXS for the reply... .much appreciated. The version on the desktop is v 6.82.22. It is a long story but I had issues installing 6.83..it kept seizing at 10% download (PC connectivity suite install) .It kept locking my computer up. Prior to that I had 6. I uninstalled 6.7, and cleaned the computer up using the PC clean up tool. I cannot put 6.83 on as it will not load. I tried 6.7 again but that failed to load the PC connectivity suite. Each time I cleaned the computer with the clean up tool. Now with 6.82 successfully installed, the computer will not allow the E61 to be loaded in device manager. It comes up with the error that the name is already in use. I thought it might relate to the fact that I linked the phone to my laptop in the meantime with 6.7 on there. Now from what I read it still may be leftover registry tags which previously id'd this phone to the desktop. So I am stuck at this point.
