Connecting the V-Studio 100 controller as GarageBand interface

I am trying to connect the Cakewalk (Roland) V-Studio 100 controller as an interface to GarageBand. In the Sound Pref's I see that the Mac is receiving audio signal from the V-Studio but GarageBand is not getting it. I did set up the GarageBand Pref's properly, too, using the directions from Cakewalk.com:

Setting up as an Audio I/O:
From the GarageBand drop down menu, select Preferences.
Click on the Audio/MIDI tab at the top of the General window.
Assign the Audio Input and Audio Output to “VS-100 44.1kHz”.
I am running GarageBand 5.1 on MacOS 10.6.8.

What’s the version of your TFS?
How do you configure the test control?
Please make sure you are specify the team collection instead of team project.
On the other hand, you may enable test controller logs. (You could share the log file on the OneDrive)

When I connect the 17'' Studio Display to my 15'' Macbook Pro (Late 2006)

Whenever I connect the external display to my laptop (and other laptops in the office) the laptop display remains in black on white while the external display becomes white on black. Why are you using a usb ethernet adaptor? Just plug the modem into the usb port.

Connecting the Management Studio to the Azure database

I am very new to Azure. I have created a virtual machine and a database. I can access the database from with Azure, but when I try to access it using SQLServer2012, I get the message of the standard can not connect.
I believe I have set up the firewall with the correct IP address in a seperate rule, but the default IP is not my machine and I have been unable to get a successful ping the that address.
I would be most grateful for any assistance.

Did the issue resolved? Based on your description, it seems that you create a Virtual machine on Windows Azure and create SQL database on Windows Azure Management Protal. You try to connect to the SQL Database from SSMS 2012 form your
local desktop. (Note:SQL Database is not SQL Server on Windows Azure VM.) If I have any misundderstanding, please let me know.
1. You cannnot connect to the VM through RDP on your local desktop.

2. You try to connect to a SQL database with SSMS 2012 but failed with error code 53 and also telnet failed.
Please try to use the tracert utility and capture the output showing the intermediate steps taken while trying to reach the server: C:\>tracert <IP address>
(Note: you can get the ip address with: ping qksz0wcgii.database.windows.net )

Is there a way to connect the new MacBook Air to an audio interface that only has FireWire 400 input?

I recently acquired the new MacBook Air for my performance rig and have discovered that there is no way to connect it to either of my audio interfaces [both have FireWire 400 ports only. Is there an adaptor for this? I can't seem to find one.

Later on this month, both Belkin and Sonnet have indicated that they will have means to adapt the Thunderbolt port to the Firewire 800 interface.
Sonnet's solution will be an simple adapter, while Belkins will be a more full featured dock, with a few ports, including USB 3.0
There is no indication what the price of either will be, but both of them should provide a relatively easy means to then adapt to Firewire 400, as such cable adapters are already readily available at a nominal price.
Apple has the Sonnet adapter mentioned on their website, so it may be likely that the Apple online store will be carrying them when they become available.
As far as an adapter from USB 2.0 to Firewire, there have been only a scant few adapters available in the past, and all that I have seen were propretary in nature, only usable for the particular device they were fashioned for. I have not seen any that were usable in a general sense. Look at the reviews of any such products you might find in this regard. You will find no satisfied users.

Visual Studio Test Controller recovery locks out the user domain account, cannot log into PC

On the recovery tab of the Visual studio Test controller Services properties dialog, there are three recovery settings:
First Failure, Second failure and Subsequent failures. The default settings for these options is to "Restart the Service". I changed my domain password this morning, restared the PC and could not log in because the Visual Studio Test Controller
service tried to restart with the wrong credentials in an infinite loop. This resulted in my account with the domain controller getting locked out. The delay between service restarts was very quick and I could not login and stop the service. The kind admin
fellow logged in to the PC and changed the service settings.
Is there a place where the recovery service restart interval can be changed to prevent this situation?

You said that you couldn't log in, do you mean that you couldn't log in your machine or others?
If you change the domain password, generally we could open the Test Controller configuration and change the logon account for this service.
But if you mean that you couldn't log in your windows now, I'm afraid that it is not the test controller and Agent issue, it would be the windows issue, because it still has this issue even if you use other servers.

Trouble Connecting a Wireless Xbox 360 Controller to Windows 8.1 via the Play & Charge Kit

I've been trying to connect a standard black wireless Xbox 360 controller to my PC, a Dell Inspiron 17R Special Edition (what makes it special is a mystery to me, but that's the name) with the standard Play & Charge Kit.
I downloaded the drivers from Microsoft's website <http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/d/xbox-360-wireless-controller-for-windows>. Since there was no version for Windows 8.1, I downloaded the version for windows 7 (64-bit) and ran the installer
in compatibility mode. The installer ran just fine, and I was able to run joy.cpl with no trouble. The trouble was, my controller doesn't show up in the list of game controllers, which is blank.
Under Devices and Printers, an item named "Xbox 360 Wireless Controller via Play and Charge Kit" appears in the "Unspecified" category. When I look at the properties of this device, there are only two tabs, "General" and "Hardware".
Under the "Hardware" tab, there is a device also named"Xbox 360 Wireless Controller via Play and Charge Kit" whose properties have all the proper drivers and suchlike.
Help!

Uninstall all the driver.
Download and install the latest driver,or,you may try the same to get via Windows Update.

Thanks for your reply. Realtek audio works only in playback. There is a stereo mix in the mixer but the recording controls are not operable with no sliders in the mixer for any recording option. Slider controls appear to be grayed out. Can't figure out how to enable them. Downloaded newest drivers to no avail.
The M Audio control panel has no apparent option for recording stereo mix. Adobe ignores the sound from the DVD or CD and shows flatline.
I'm trying to record the sound from the DVD not rip the track.
When I go to Audio Driver Setup and select Audition 3.0 windows sound, there is no input device installed.
I'm thinking of going back to a decent internal Soundblaster card like I have on my 8 year old machine I am replacing.

how about if I have another anchor controller in lets say in other office and I need to anchor the traffic or load balance from HQ foreign controller , in that case if I create DHCP scope into HQ anchor controller and if its down , I will loose the connectivity , how do I achieve fail-over to another anchor ?
Do I need to create secondary scope into another anchor controller and let the client get reauthenticated from other location ISE and get ip address as well from another anchor controller . Is it what you are proposing ?

Iphone turns on only when connected to a wall charger and shows that the batterry is 100% charged

My iphone 4 is not turning on using the power button, when i press it nothing happens but when i connect my iphone to a wall charger the apple logo appears and after some time it says "connect to itunes" and "slide to unlock bar" appears at the bottom for emmergency calls and if i unplug the charger the screen goes black. When i connect iphone to my computer the iphone logo comes in and stays there for about 10 seconds and then the screen goes all black and this thing repeats as long as my iphone is connected to the computer. I have tried the hard reset (pressing home button and power button simultaniously) but its useless in this case
I think this is because my battery is totally dead and need to relace it but if anyone of you knows and think that theres some other problem then please let me know

So the iPod only powers on when connected to an external power source such as a USB port on your PC or Mac or when connected to a wall charger? If so, that is a very good indication that your iPod's battery is shot and in need of replacement.
Apple can swap it out for a flat fee or you can send it to a third party repair service for a bit less.

Remove it from the Macbook first. BT devices may only be connected to one thing at a time.
