Connecting to Audi A5 without the MMI system

Is there a way of connecting my Nokia to an Audi A5 replicating the MMI system (ie using the phone controls on the car rather than the phone) as my new company car hasnt the built in Audi option to allow this
The Audi webiste has it as follows:
"- uses Bluetooth interface with no physical connection to your A5, including roof aerial for optimal reception. Please note that your mobile phone must have SIM-Access Profile facility. (Only in combination with Satellie Navigation system Plus)"
But i would like to replicate this not using Audi...is this possible?

If your JAAS Login Configuration includes the entry useTicketCache=true, then it will use your existing Kerberos ticket to provide a Single Sign On experience.
On the other hand if this is a browser based application, you will want to investigate the use of either NTLM or GSSAPI (Kerberos) on the web server. There are also third party solutions from Quest & Centrify that simplify this task for Apache etc.

i just picked up my new Q5 audi and i can connect my ipod to the system, even though my ipod shows its connected it isnt recognized by the MMI system.

I have a '13 GTI, and it should be the same interface. I have to power on/off when in media mode sometimes to get it to recogmize. It's even worse with the optional cable that connects via USB. I've been told (on the GTI forum) that VW/Audi doesn't seem to "like" Apple products.

Nokia X6 phonebook connection with Audi MMI

Just upgraded my phone to the new X6. Bluetooth to the mmi system is working fine but i cannot access my addressbook through the mmi.
Anyone else suffering this problem? Any ideas?

Not a guaranteed solution but try installing this Contact Download Application for Nokia S60 5th edition devices on the X6 (phone memory)

Delete the pairings on both the car and the phone, switch the phone off and on, then try to connect again.
As said, not a guaranteed solution because the patch is designed to support older Nokia Car Phones, but there are some OEM systems that it seems to work on.

How to connect a Compact RIO to a PXI System

I want to connect my cRIO-9074 with my PXI System.
First of all my Hardware configuration:
1. "PXI-1036" Chassis with "PXI-8101" Embedded Controller and "PXI-8231" Ethernet
2. "cRIO 9074" Integrated 400 MHz Realt-Time Controller
3. "NI 9144" EtherCAT slave chassis
The PXI System is connected with my Network through the Ethernet-Port on the "PXI-8101" Controller. The "NI 9144" is connected with the "cRIO 9074" through their EtherCAT Ports. That works without a problem.
Now I want to connect my "cRIO-9074" with my PXI-System through the Ethernet Port on the "PXI-8321", but I can't find a way to get this work.
In MAX I configured the second Ethernet Port on the PXI as "TCP/IP" with a IP and Subnet. Then I connected the cRIO and turned it on.
But I can't find the cRIO anywhere in MAX or in a LabView Realtime Project.
When I configure the "PXI-8321" as a EtherCAT Port, I can connect my "NI 9144" with it and use it in a LabView Project. But configured as Ethernet and connected with the "cRIO 9074" it doesn't works.
Is there any way to get this working? Or is this not possible with my Hardware?
I know I could connect the cRIO and PXI through a Switch with my Network and then use both in a LabView Real-Time Project. But I want to build a mobile Measurement-Station with as few devices as possible. If there is no other way I will use a Switch, but without would be better.

Hi Daniel,
it is not possible to connect cRIO-9074 Controller with the PXI System through the Ethernet-Port, because the RT cRIO Controller can not behave as a slave. cRIO Controller is always configured as a master, never as slave. The extension Chassis 9144 is configured as a slave, so you can use it with your cRIO Ctrl or with PXI Ctrl as well. Connection PXI-Ctrl, cRIO-Ctrl, NI 9144 is not possible.

Hello Experts,
I am trying post goods receipt in EWM system in a simple inbound delivery process. It is not getting posted back in ECC. I have my RFC connection setup properly(I assume since I was able to transfer inbound delivery to EWM in first place).It seems some setting related to Outbound queue in EWM is missing.Can anyone tell me in detail what settings are required?Is it something to do with WE20 transaction?I am not sure what settings should be done there.The error log is as below-

I have checked remote connection in SM59 for both the logical system.It works fine.I understand this is more of a technical issue,but I don't have A local basis team to help me so reaching out to experts here.Can you guide me what technical settings could be checked for EWM-->ECC connection?When I execute BD82 for SB3CLNT011 it shows me green status with message "No messages have been defined for the selection conditions in the model".
Although when I do this for EWM logical system SB3CLNT012 it shows me this with all green status-

Crystal Reports XI String [255] limit with the File System Data driver...

I was trying to create a Crystal Reports XI report to return security permissions of files and folders. I have been able to successfully connect and return data using the File System Data driver as the Data Source; however the String limit on the ACL NT Security Field is 255 characters. The full string of data to be returned can be much longer than the 255 limit and I cannot find how to manipulate that parameter.
I am currently on Crystals XI and Crystal XI R2 and have applied the latest service packs but still see the issue. My Crystal Reports Database DLL for File System data ( crdb_FileSystem.dll ) is at Product Version 11.5.10.1263.
Is it possible to change string limits when using the File System Data driver as the Data Source? If so, how can that be accomplished. If not, is there another method to retrieve information with the Windows File System Data being the Data Source? Meaning, could I reach my end game objective of reporting on the Windows ACL's with Crystal through another method?

This is a known issue. Early versions you could not create folder structures longer than 255 characters. With the updates to the various OS's this is now possible but CR did not allocate the same space required.
It's been tracked as an enhancement - ADAPT01174519 but set for a future release.
There are likely other ways of getting the info and then putting it into an Excel file format and using that as the data source.

Problems connecting two wireless rooters without cable.

How do I set two Roter, if one is already configured.
The other is a model Edimax BR-6504n.
For the first Roter I know the MAC address and no password ... I connect with any laptop without the password, I am interested in someone who knows better to enlighten me.
I know from the manual that the rooter supports the following options:
AP
AP Bridge-Point to Point
AP Bridge-Point to Multi Point
AP Bridge-WDS
And in the MAC section of the AP Bridge-Point to Point I put the MAC of the first rooter, and here is the problem cause I do not know the channel of the first rooter. Is there a program or something that find the channel.
I have access only to the second rooter.
And it is important what options to set so that i reduce the number of combination to try when i put the channel.
What option should I put to the LAN? to make the ip different from the first rooter?
IP of first rooter: 192.168.2.100-200 I think this are the range ip of the first rooter.
Should I put the second rooter IP in another range like 192.168.1.*.* or leave it to 192.168.2.*.*?
The problem is that I must link them wireless not by wire.
So how do I connect the second rooter to the first so that I can extend the range of the wireless.

'Error Occured in the Source System' for Non SAP system

Hi Gurus,
We have an Info Package which is getting the data from the Source System 'DOCP' and it has failed due to 'Error Occured in the Source System'.Since the source system is Non SAP system there is no option 'Replicate Data Sources'.So,First I activated the transfer rules by the program and ran the package again .But again the same error occured.
Please suggest me how to proceed for this error for Non SAP Systems?

You will need to set a WEP key. You may need to root the system do some things at the command line. I recommend against that.
Laptops don't work well as routers but it is possible.
Hook up the AirPort express to the laptop using an Ethernet cable and configure with the AirPort utility as if you are setting up a print server or base station. The Android should see the AirPort Express after that.

This might work better if you used the AirPort Express as a base station instead of trying to use the laptop as a base station. Then your Android would have Internet access.

Refresh of BW System without deleting the source system

Hello experts
I want to know, is it possible to refresh BW system without deleting the source system.
That means I just do the renaming via BDLS and reconnect.
If I do so, do I have a post refresh activities.
According to OSS note 886102 and 184447, there are 3 scenarios:
Scenario A: You want to copy the entire system infrastructure connected by the BW source system connections (that means the entire system group).
Scenario B: You want to copy a single BW system of the group, the sourcesystem is not copied.
Scenario C: You want to replace a single sourcesystem of a BW-system with another system using a database or client copy (Example: Refresh of the OLTP consolidation system by a copy of the OLTP production system). The BW system is not copied
Assuming I use Scenario A, can I refresh BW system without deleting the source system.
