Connecting to CUCM 6.0 Informix DB

Is it possible & and can I coonect using Crystal Reports to the Cisco Informix Database on CUCM 6.0?

There are no API published for Meetingplace express. The only suggestion is that, get all the meetings data and other data from the reports MP Express generates and export that data to excel or other databases and create your custom reports.

    we have a problem with JTAPI Connection to AndTek. The colleagues, they use AndTek, can login / logout, but after it, the actual status doesn't change by the others. If they restarts the phones (cable out, cable in), status will be changed. Other solution, restart Callmanager (sometimes the restart of the service "CTI Manager" can help too). 
    With AndTek we tried to find the problem, what they found: the phones are losing the connection to the  AndTek service, and Application Users cannot control the phones.
    Questions:
    - How can I stay under control, investigate the connection of the JTAPI at side of CUCM
    . Which trace / debug can help to find the problem by Application Users

    You can monitor CTIConnectionActive under Performance tab in RTMT for a real-time number of JTAPI connections.
    CTIManager SDL traces from CUCM and JTAPI logs from Genesys should help diagnose the exact JTAPI messaging and see what is closing the connection.  There's a keep-alive process as part of JTAPI that Genesys should be using.
    Lastly, a packet capture may help if there are network interruptions causing the issue.

    I have problem with connection on Master Repository which is installed on Informix DB.
    When I tried to test connection, the connection was successful. But, when I tried to connect to Master Repository the message was:
    Connection to repository denied
    java.sql.SQLException: Transactions not supported
    Is it problem in DB user and pwd which is not snpm/snpm? Is it necessary to use this user/pwd?
    Can You suggest me some other solution?

  • 7942s randomly lose connection to CUCM Thru VPN Tunnel

    One of my remote branches has 7 7942s plugged into a 2960 POE and then to a 2901.  The computer are connected to the telephone tandum.
    1.All the phones dont drop at the same time (maybe 2 or 3 together)
    2.The VPN Tunnel never drops when the phones lose the CUCM.(Computers are still online and able to see the network on other side of tunnel)
    3.The computer that is connected to the dropped phone does not lose connectivity to the inside network or thru the vpn tunnel (whether in fallback mode or connected or in transit)
    4. when a couple of phones are down, I can reach both CUCMs. (Publisher and Subscriber)
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Earl,
    Try to do wire shark and see if you can capture anything.
    Its looks like keep live message dropping some where before they reaching phones. Is there high utilization on site?
    Check if any firewall filtering packets.
    Phone reboots itself and tries to register again. Check interface if there is any watchdog timers error.

  • Paging Third Party SIP Phones connected to CUCM

    Current SetUp: CUCM - Cisco 3925, Two MCS 7816 (Call Control Server) and One MCS 7825 (Voice mail server)
    We have third party SIP phones configured in auto answer mode. These phones are used to make live announcements.
    To Do:
    There are approximately 80 phones in the system and the requirement is to select any combination of these phones to make Public announcement (or Paging).
    Is there an application that enables us to select any combination of phones on the fly to do paging? How can we select a mp3 file to play on a phone in an auto answer mode?

    There's nothing built into call manager to do this.  You could investigate using the Cisco Unified Application Environment (CUAE) and write a script to do this, or there are some 3rd party applications that might work for you such as Berbee's Informacast.

  • Telco Messages via PRI (VG) connected to CUCM 9.X via SIP Trunk??

    Questions:
    Should I hear tel-co message on an IP Phone if a call that is meant to be long distance is sent to the  gateway without a one (1).  Currently these calls simply ring until disconnect, but work properly if the user dials a 1, the user expects to get a message from the provider and I am wondering if the SIP trunk between GW and CUCM is not allowing it?
    Scenario:
    IP Phone --> CUCM (SIP Trunk) --> ISR 2901(PRI) --> PSTN
    In CUCM we have a local pattern 9.[2-9]XX[2-9]XXXXXX
    If the IP Phone dials a number that is actually a long distance number, which would require a 1, but they dial it as a 10 digit local number, the call gets to the gateway and IP Phone hears ringing but it, rings until it eventually disconnects.  At this point I believe the gateway is sending a cause code back to CUCM and I would expect error message back from the telco informing the caller of the issue, such as "Please dial 1 before a long distance number".  Is there a specific setting on the SIP trunk and or Gateway to achieve this?

    Yes, Early media needs to be turned on the SIP Profile that is associated to the SIP trunk. The setting is SIP Rel 1xx options. It needs to be set for Send PRACK for all 1XX messages. If you have CUCM 7.x , this setting is a service parameter.

  • Connectivity issues for random phones in CUCM 8.6 on Vmware

    I have a client that has problems with around half of there ip phones (6921 & 7945) after a situation with overheating in the serverroom. 
    The solutions was a 1 Publisher, 1 subscriber setup with each on a separate Vmware server. 
    The Publisher is connected to the Core Switch which is further connected to 4 distribution switches which again connect to 5 more distribution switches. They have around 200 ip phones connected to these switches that get assigned IP's with DHCP. 
    The physical disk that the Subscriber was on was destroyed the incident. The Publisher they recovered, but to do this they had to recreate the vm descriptor file and attach it to the flat-file. 
    So the current situation is that the system is running with only 1 Publisher and no Subscriber.
    There is also a license warning in the CCM Admin section, stating a License Overage (2 nodes used, but only 1 licensed.)
    The license status is not invalid though, and the license state is "Uploaded". This second node I suppose might be the Subscirber that no longer exists? The phones have more than enough licenses.
    When powered up the system seems to run as it should, but only about half the phones have connectivity to and can register with CUCM.
    I have tried to reboot some phones remotely by cutting the power on the switch interfaces where they are attached, but that made no difference.
    The console log on the phones that are down show TFTP Timeout & File Transfer Error.
    The phones that are up and running can be pinged successfully from the CUCM cli, but when pinging the others I get "Destination Host Unreachable".
    The strange thing is that it seems completely random as to what phones are up or down. On all switches there are connected phones with both working and non-working connections to CUCM.
    To try to pinpoint the fault I chose 2 devices on the same switch and compared the config for each interface, one that has connectivity and is registered, and one that does not have connectivity and is unreachable.
    Everything seems to be identical so I can't see what causes this error on the one, but not on the other.
    Also when I ping the ip phone with no connectivity to CUCM from any of the switches, the ping is successful.
    Anyone know what could be the cause of this behaviour?

    The phones get there IP’s from a DHCP Server (Not the built in one in CUCM, but an external server). I have tested that the DHCP process works by powering off a phone (one of the phones with connectivity issues), deleting the lease, and then powering the phone back on and seeing the device request and receive a new lease.
    There is only one CCM group active and both servers are in this group with the Publisher as highest priority server. All phones are in the same Device Pool attached to this group.
    There are a lot of warnings regarding dbReplication & missing node due to the subscriber being gone. Also there is an issue with NTP server (see below). I will post more on this tomorrow morning.
    I have also attached the console log from one of the phones that can't register.
    NTP Alert:

    I'm attempting to connect and use 2 different informix databases within the same app.
    Connection 1 (Sql selects records where status = 'pending'
    Connection 2 (Results from connection 1 are passed to a stored procedure
    Connection 3 (Updates Database used in con1 with return values from con2
    I'm able to successfully code connection 1 but I'm totally confused on the others.
    How do you switch back and forth between each connection?

    Hi. I suspect that the databaseName property is causing the problem in
    8.1. Remove it and see if that works. Also, try running:
    java utils.dbping, and giving it the properties it asks for, for your
    Informix connection. Once it succeeds in making a connection, it will
    print out the URL and properties it used. Then define the pool with
    those (and only those) properties and URL.

    You will have to create a database link from Oracle to Informix.
    First create an ODBC connection from Oracle server to Informix server, then

    or search forum on how to create db Links.
    Then in your stored procedure just use format [email protected] to point at table in Informix
    PS You may need to install caths.sql (normally found in oraclehome\rdbms\admin)

    I need your help to understand how to connect / interface CUCM-Business Edition with AYAYA-S800 EPBX where PSTN link is terminated.
    I understand that CUCM-Business edition appliance have Ethernet Interface (RJ45) and AYAYA-S800 EPBX is also have IP card.
    Shall I directly connect CUCM with EPBX using a UTP cable. The idea is, I have 100 analog Phones and CUCM will be having 25 IP phones. These should talk to each other and make outgoing calls using PSTN connected in AYAYA EPBX

    First I have to thank your for sharing your expertised idea.
    It is true that for 25 IP Phones CCME is enough though. But this number will increase to 400 in near future.
    That is the reason we opted CUCM-BE for future proof. I am not sure how to connect AYAYAS800 (where PSTN link is terminated and some analog phones are connected) with CUCM-BE appliance. I am sure AYAYA is having IP card installed ready for usage.
    Please help me by shedding lights on this

    Thanks.You cannot have two non-XA enabled connection pools used by workshop. What you'll
    need to do is set up ecomPool to be XA enabled, then when you point cgPool to
    Informix (non-XA), it should run smoothly.
    Be aware cgPool cannont be XA enabled, because the JMS traffic is over this pool
    as well

  • Cisco Jabber for Mac 9.2.1: slow to register with CUCM

    We have this specific problem on our Jabber for Mac 9.2.1 client only: the client takes 60 to 70 seconds to connect to CUCM (running 8.6.2) when it starts.
    After Jabber registers with CUCM, there is no issue, it's just very slow to register.
    Anybody getting the same behaviour? We have no such issue on previous versions of Jabber for Mac version 8 or Jabber for Windows version 9.

    For those interested, I have the answer to my own question: if one of your configured DNS servers is not responding, Jabber 9.2.1 will delay registration to the phone services. This behaviour is seen only in this specifc version of Jabber, hopefully it will be fixed in the next release. Watch out if one of your DNS server goes offilne.
