Connecting to Facebook via Applications menu

For some reason, I can't access Facebook using the above option. As soon as I select Facebook, it flicks for like a second on the logon screen then jumps back to the Application main menu.

I have attempted several times to get my Lightroom 4.2 to connect to Facebook. I get to the point where it reads "authorizing.....", but that's as far as it goes, and never authorizes. Can't connect to Facebook via 3G

My Facebook does not work when I'm on 3G. It sais no internet connection and it won't load my news feeds or my notification. All other apps are fine. I do receive notifications on my toolbar but when i open the app it gives me error. I had the same problem with my old phone xperia P. Thanks for any help

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
Does it work fine when you are connected to a Wi-Fi network? If yes, I suggest that you check your APNs, so there are no Proxy/Port that is causing this behaviour. You can find this via Settings > More... > Mobile networks > Access point name > Tap your internet APN and remove Proxy/Port if they are set.

Connection to Facebook via HTTPS fails

I am trying to implement the Facebook API in CRM IC. To do so I followed SAP note 1832481. First, I downloaded a HTTPS certificate from facebook and uploaded it in transaction STRUST. Second, I implemented the API as described in the SAP note:

I am not sure, if I have to use the HTTP or HTTPS port. So I tried both. Nevertheless, in both cases the HTTP(S) connection fails.

I thought that using SSL implies HTTPS?

The mentioned note says about the SSSLERR_NO_SSL3_REQUEST:
Reason:An external client (for example, a Web browser) attempts to open an unsecured connection (HTTP), even though the ICM port is secured by SSL.
Solution:Configure the external client so that it sets up secure connections (HTTPS) for the ICM. When you do this, take note of the configuration options in the user guide of the provider of the client you are using.
But how can I cofigure the external client? I mean, I have no influence on facebook, have I?

sounds like problem with your network carrier,not your phone. check th econidition of your SIM card and also your network data connection with them.

On iPad with iOS 8.0.2 I am experiencing photos are missing on Home page of some Facebook posts when connecting to Facebook via Safari

I have noted that I am not able to view some photos of some Facebook posts on my Home page when I try to view on my iPad (iOS 8.0.2) via Safari. On some occasions I can refresh the page and some of the photos become visible, others remain the large white box with the tiny blue question mark in the center of the box. Your iPhone's iOS must be same or newer than the one in backups. In your case it is older so you need to update your iPhone and then recover it with backup.

HT5500 I can no longer connect to Facebook via Safari, Firefox and Chrome from Admin account, but I can through the Guest account? Any ideas?

For some reason, Facebook is the only site I cannot reach when logged in as Admin. When I switch to Guest then I can access Facebook. I've cleared DNS cache. I've reset Safari, etc. Something is real wierd. Any ideas?

In Photos I cannot connect my Facebook account

hi...i have updated to the latest version of Yosemite, which included a change from iPhoto to Photos. it seems to work okay except for when i try to share pictures from Photos to Facebook.
it directs me to add my Facebook account on Internet Accounts in System Preferences. I have attempted to add my Facebook account at least a dozen times and failed each time.
i enter my email and password for Facebook and i get a box asking me to wait for a code to be texted to me to enter instead of my FB password. the code arrives, i enter it in the password box, and i get the same message in red: 'unable to verify account name or password'.
then i receive messages on Facebook saying that an 'unrecognized' browser is attempting to log in to my account (even though i've 'approved' it as 'recognized' by me multiple times now).
so i cannot connect with Facebook via my MacBook Pro (only through my iPhone).
any suggestions?

PPS. i did look into my log in history on Facebook, and each time i have attempted to connect from System Preferences, it registers in Facebook as a DIFFERENT system each time (even though i'm attempting to connect from the same computer each time). any possible reasons why this is so? thanks!

Pour ma part, j'ai trouvé une astuce pour au moins enregistré mon mot de passe:
il faut aller dans Réglages / Confidentialité / Facebook / et désactiver l'accès au compte.
Quan dvous revenez sur l'appli Facebook il n'y a plus le message demandant d'enregistrer le mot de passe dans réglages.
Par contre ce n'est qu'un contournement au problème qui est que dans les réglages impossible de supprimer un compte Facebook via "supprimer le compte", cad que le réglage Facebook reste sur un compte qui (pour nous) est supprimé.
J'espère vous avoir aider

I had the same problem for days. I reset the phone bu holding down the home button and the on off switch together. Don't swipe to turn off. Just hold down the two buttons until phone switched off then wait a few seconds and switch it back on. I can't also use Facebook on safari which I was also having problems with. Hope it helps

To completely shut it down, even in the background, double click the home button to display the row of apps. Then press and hold the Facetime app until the app displays a minus sign. then touch the minus sign.
The app is now stopped !

Error message while trying to connect to Facebook chat via Thunderbird.

I have read multiple forums and watched YouTube video's on how to connect to Facebook Chat via Thunderbird however, I am unable to connect. I have gone into Facebook to verify and re-verify my password and have also tried multiple variations of my "username"...i.e. First name....First and Last name......[email protected]..I continue to get an error message saying:
"Error: Not authorized (Did you enter the wrong password?)"

Cannot run scripts via GNOME applications menu

I have a few posts in the applications menu, like "Android Notifier Desktop" and the commando runs a script: "/usr/share/android-notifier-desktop/run.sh".
That doesnt work anymore, I have to run it via the terminal now. I think it happend when I upgraded to GNOME 2.32. What to do?

After most recent update (3.6.10) cannot connect to internet via any browser or application (Windows Vista)

I recently updated Firefox to 3.6.10 on a Windows Vista machine and have been unable to connect to the internet with any application since. Any help you can provide would be graciously appreciated.
Upon receiving the "Firefox has updated and needs to restart" message, I continued to browse the internet for a period of time. When I finished what I was doing, I restarted the browser. When it came back up, it failed to connect to the internet. Signal strength from wireless network is "Very Good" and indicates that I am connected to the internet. I have tried the following with no success:
- Attempted to connect to internet with Internet Explorer
- Restarted the machine
- Disabled Windows firewall
- Checked that Internet Options settings had not changed
- Connected to different wireless networks
After each of the above, I tried to connect with IE and Firefox.
As an amateur it seems that this isn't a Firefox problem, but I have to assume since the connection was good immediately before restarting the program and the completely inoperative after restarting, that it has something to do with the installation. Thank you very much for your time.

PROBLEM SOLVED:
In Internet Options under Connections > Settings, "Use system settings" was selected. Changing the selection to "Automatically detect proxy settings for this network" in connection settings allowed all applications to connect to the internet.
Why "System settings" continues to work on my XP system after the update and why it worked on the Vista system before the update but not after the update is a mystery... but as long as it works, who cares

I created an App ID on fb dev website, I made a datasource, but I can't do any of facebook commands, for example I'm trying to do a post in fb using inputbox and a button, it asks for my user and password, I log in, but I can't use the Button anymore,

I just tested this again and it pulls in fine for me. I'm guessing that it could be some restrictions of the App you registered as to obtain your client to the FB API.You can check/confirm the restrictions via the API (via the
restrictions field of the
Application object or in the ''Advanced'' tab in the app settings in the
App Dashboard and then clear all / reduce the restrictions listed.
