  • How to Convert Outlook to Lotus Notes ?

I'm looking for the way to convert my Outlook email archive (.pst) to Lotus Notes mail file (.nsf). I found that there is some commercial 3rd party tool doing this job which is too expensive for me. Is there any good and manual way to
convert .pst to .nsf or to move my mail data from Outlook to Lotus Notes ?

    Hi andy
Here is a free utility to convert Outlook to Lotus Notes known as Nupgrade.exe. With the help of this tool you will easily transfer Outlook data to Lotus Notes. With this tool you will need to remember few things like:
    • The Upgrade Wizard is not installed with the Notes client, by default. To obtain the Upgrade Wizard, perform a custom install of the Notes client and select to install the Migration Tools components.
    • Confirm that Microsoft Outlook is configured on the workstation as "Corporate or Workgroup" instead of "Internet Mail Only"
    • Confirm that Microsoft Outlook is configured as the default mail application on the workstation.
Verify which Outlook .pst files are linked to a profile on that workstation.
After that with the help of few easy steps you will easily convert Outlook PST to Lotus Notes:
    1. Open a Command Prompt window by selecting Start --> Run and then type in:
          cmd.exe
    2. Change to the Notes client program directory. For example:
        cd program files\lotus\notes
    3. Enter the following command to launch the Upgrade Wizard:
       Nupgrade.exe 3
    4. Click "Next" to continue past the Welcome Screen.
    5. Select your profile that is linked to the .PST and .PAB files to be migrated and then click "Next" to continue.
    6. Specify the type of Upgrade Method to be performed, either "Express" or "Custom", and then click "Next" to continue.
Note: If you select "Custom", on the following screen, you can specify which items that you want to convert to Notes. However, if you select "Express" (the default upgrade method), all .PST files and .PAB files linked to the selected profile will be converted
    to Notes.
    7. Click "Next" to accept the defaults for Personal Folder Conversion Options. By default, the Upgrade Wizard will convert the contents of .PST files into a Notes database based on the default mail template (e.g., Mail6.ntf). The Notes database created by the
upgrade wizard is created in a Mail folder below the Notes client data directory.
    8. Select "Finish" to begin the conversion process when you reach the begin upgrade screen. Once the Upgrade Wizard begins the conversion process, you will need to supply the password for the Notes User ID.
But if your MS Outlook account is connected is “Internet Mail Only” then you will need to use a third party tool like
Outlook to Notes Converter which easily convert Outlook data to Lotus Notes file format. Because a right third party tool is always guarantee for secure data conversion process. Read more:

  • Sending attachement in workflow to outlook or lotus notes ?

    hi,
i have a workflow where a user attaches a document. i want to sent this document to another user -> well, HOW should i add the attachement (a PDF-file) ???????
when i do the binding for attachement in my step (_Attach_object) and then add AttachObject to the taskdespritption, the mail looks like this:
    BO SOFM
    BO SOFM FOL25000000000004RAW33000000033867
    best regards, Martin

    hi,
i can't tell you HOW the attachement is created ! it is the sap-standard-add-attachment when you start a workflow with a form ! there you can add the attachement in dialog -> and then it is available in the workflow, but NOT for the mail !
i am not sure if the sap-notes mentioned by you will solve my problem as my emails don't have an ERROR -> they get trough, but with that strange coding instead of the real attachement

  • Lotus Notes connectivity in WebDynpro for Java

    Hi,
in case we want to implement some content stored in an Lotus Notes database. For example a simple corporate phonelist. What are our options to get these data represented in our portal if we dont want to use the standard "Notes DB web-enabled" output.
Is it possible to develope for example a webDynpo for Java application which connects via JCo(??) to Notes, greps the data there and interacts with it so that we can use the standard portal UI-Elements?
Do you know where to find some specified information for that issue?
    Thanks and best regards
    Markus Armbruster

    Hello Markus,
I already tested several options for connecting Web Dynpro to Lotus Notes/Domino. You may use Java technology (IIOP) or web technology (simple HTTP/XML or HTTP/SOAP).
in order to use IIOP, simple include NSCO.jar in the lib path of your SAP J2EE engine instances. Then you are able to use the classes stubs for NotesFactory(), NotesSession() etc. within WD.
if you use HTTP then connect using web services. The data is then transferred e.g. via XML or DXL.
I have some samples running in case you need more information I can send you the source.

  • Approval through Lotus notes / Outlook ?

    Hi All,
I have a query which needs to be solved .
As far as I know we can send mails from WF to Outlook or Lotus notes for  display the things .
I just want to know whether an agent can Approve / Reject the workitem after looking at all the data , through outlook or Lotus notes ?
If this is possible then, how can we go about it ?
Any help will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Priya
    <i></i><u></u>

SAP seems to be phasing out everything except the new duet solution. Although there are a lot more possibilities built in to Lotus Notes than to Microsoft Outlook there seems to be little support from SAP for Lotus Notes these days.
There's the snag of having to get a logon to have the user context to do things in Lotus Notes, I am actually not sure how that is solved in Duet as I haven't really studied it (it's a Microsoft product, their history makes me skeptical - and I haven't needed it either).
In any case I think the "after looking at all the data" will give you problems, if you by that mean that you should be able to open attached objects etc without leaving Notes or Outlook. The standard scenario demonstrated by SAP is Approve/Reject, so that is something Duet can handle well, and shouldn't be a problem in Notes either.

  • PIMSync Contacts linked to appointments in Outlook/Lotus Notes

    Hi,
Is it possible to automatically link appointments from Outlook Calendar or Lotus Notes to the contacts (which are invited for the appointment via Outlook or Lotus Notes) in CRM On Demand using PIMSync? If not, is there a workaround, e.g. using a different program?

When we run Notes u2013 initial load job, we have exactly the same error log as in this forum discussion: Provisioning framework for Lotus Notes
But additionally we can not find the MXEXTPWD.DLL files, witch is supposed to be in the Identity Center installation directory (C:\ProgramFiles\SAP\IdM\Identity Center)
In the forum discussion they talk bout MXVBNote.dll and MXNotes.dll, we canu2019t find them neither.
Does anyone know in witch step the MXEXTPWD.DLL is created? Or where we can find it?

    Hi Experts,
I'm finally able to launch VB scripts to try to connect IDM to the Notes Client.
I said TRY because the initial Load for notes is still not working.
I'm facing another error message :
Open DB Names.nsf failed : error : the prompt for password was aborted by user.
Function OpenListNotes3 : Open DB Names.nsf failed : error : the prompt for password was aborted by user.
So I tried to enable/disabled the option in the Lotus client under  "File/Security/User Security/(Enter password).  Tab "Security Basics". Option:Don't prompt for a password from other Notes-based programs (reduced security) without success. Of course i restarted my server each time i made changes.
I also checked several times my constants in IDM. The Id_file/user/password are correct.
My connection parameters are also correct between Lotus Client and Domino server.
    Any suggestion or idea?
It looks like IDM doesn't try to fill the password and just abort it...
    Thanks en regards.

  • "Submit by Email" Not Working in Lotus Notes

One of two things happens when the email recipient of my LiveCycle PDF form clicks "Submit by Email":
    1)  The user gets prompted to specify "Submit by Desktop Email Application" or "Internet Email"
The form instantly reappears in the person's own mailbox, which they can then forward to the correct recipient, who receives it as formmail
    or
    2)  The user gets prompted to specify "Submit by Desktop Email Application" or "Internet Email"
The form instantly disappears and never reappears, in the sender's email or anywhere else.
Any help / advice / commisserating comments greatly appreciated!

    Check out: http://www.pdfemail.net/
PDFEmail.net can send PDF form submissions to any recipient w/o the need to 3rd party client-side email software such as Outlook or Lotus Notes.
PDFEmail.net creates ASP.net scripts, which you upload to your Microsoft .net web server, and point the submit button's action to the script URL.
PDFEmail.net works with Adobe Acrobat and LiveCycle PDF forms.
PDFEmail.net includes 1 year of free technical support.

Synhronisation report writes that all successfully finished.

  • ESSO compatibilty with lotus notes

    Hi Team,
Does ESSO support Lotus notes ( our client version ranges from 6.0 to 8.0). Thanks.
    Praveen

I've been using CompanionLink for about a year now and it works well.
It syncs your iPhone with Outlook (via iTunes), then syncs Outlook with Lotus Notes, then syncs the iPhone with Outlook (via iTunes) again. This way any changes made on the phone or in Notes get synced both directions.
Sounds confusing, but it works good.
It only syncs your Notes calendar and your contacts from your Notes name and address book; no email sync.
If you can live without syncing email, I recommend this solution.

    Good luck!

I'm using lotus notes 7.0.2 and Outlook 2007. Does notes connector work for this problem?

If I talk about free lotus notes migration apps then online records are showing that there are no free tools yet for lotus notes archive migration. Microsoft has a connecter suit (free) for same that allows migrating of configured notes database file to
ms outlook. External tools are playing very important role here with perfection and satisfaction.
Among all, Export Notes is a very low cost and feature-rich solution that assures accuracy of migrated data.
It allows all types of nsf (mail database.nsf, archive.nsf, names.nsf) file migration
into ms outlook pst file as well as Exchange Server (business version) even the data is inside All Documents folder or encrypted.

    Hi Bill
    Thank you for your pos.
You can use the following command to check whether you have purchased the certificate of audiscovery.westmoreload-country.org in your organization:
    Get-ExchangeCertificate –server CASServerName | fl
For example: you want to return all certificates stored on the Client Access server named ClientAccess01, you will type the follow command in EMS.
    Get-ExchangeCertificate -Server ClientAccess01 | fl
If you didn’t purchased the certificate of audiscovery.westmoreload-country.org, you could contact your certificate supplier.
You could refer to the following link:

You were running a non-Intel version on an Intel Mac. You might not have run into problems before but it was only a matter of time. You cannot run an old version and then install brand new versions of ProKit and QuickTime - it will just break.
So you can either reinstall everything from scratch and then just keep it as it is without ever installing software updates, or you can upgrade to FCP 7. I recommend the latter.
