Connecting to Xtreme db

Hi All,
I have a sample db extreme database.
I need to create a universe with this db
So I am creating relational connection .But getting some error.
dont know how to select the db.
Please help

Hi Divya,
First you have to create the ODBC for xtreame MS Access. Please refer below link.
Setting Up an ODBC Data Source For MS Access
In above link the datasource name is TestChannel . So after creating this TestChannel data source will appear in data source dropdown box .Please select that and test the connection. It will work very fine.
Thanks

  • Can I use apple TV on home network with time capsule or Airport Xtreme without being connected to the internet?

I'm wondering if I can use Apple TV to play movies and slide shows on my TV, play music over my sound system and print from my devices (Iphone 4S, iPad and MacBook pro 2011) by using an Airport Xtreme or Time Capsule (to back up the devices) if those devices are not connected to the internet. Can anyone advise pls? Reason for this is that I work on a moving ship and don't have an internet connection to speak of for much of the time (and if I do it's a wireless system that I need to pay by the minute and that is too slow to support the Apple TV), but would all the same like to create a wireless environment where my devices can interact with each other. I seem to get conficting info and a rep at the apple store in Honolulu told me that you cannot use Airport Xtreme or Time Capsule without an internet connection (it was busy, he may have misunderstood my question).
    Looking forward to your input.

Don't try to home share it.. as that is dependent on using Apple ID.
Just airplay to the ATV.. iTunes: Using AirPlay
The movie should play exactly as your doing music.. but get rid of the whole home share if that is causing issues.. there is no mention of needing home share in the above..
If you still have issues you might need to do it other ways.. like export the movie from itunes.. and play it using vlc which should allow you to stream it to the apple TV using airplay.
That is a bit tricky and I have not used that setup but it should work.
    http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/23412/can-i-stream-any-video-played-wit h-vlc-player-to-apple-tv
If you have a hunt around you should find it fairly easy to do.. but straight airplay should work.. there is a very recent update to ATV which might help it with airplay.

  • Windows 7 PC + Airport Xtreme unable to connect to internet

Hi all, here's my frustrating situation:
    1. I currently have 3 computers at home: a Win7 32bit PC, a WinVista 32bit PC, and a 13" Macbook Pro. I was previously using a DLink DIR655 router, and the 2 windows PCs were connected by wired ethernet, and the Macbook Pro was connected wirelessly.
    2. I bought the Airport Xtreme router today, and installed the Airport Utility on my Win7 PC. I unplugged the DIR655, and plugged in the Airport Xtreme.
    3. I ran the Airport Utility setup, and everything configured nicely. But for some reason, the Win 7 PC ended up connected to a "Unidentified Network" which was a "public network", and could not connect to the internet.
    4. I turned on my Win Vista PC, and it immediately detected a new network, called it "Network 3" (set as a "home network", and I had no problems accessing the internet. Similarly, I turned on the macbook pro, and I connected via the Airport Xtreme wirelessly with no problems.
    5. I tried switching the ethernet cables between the 2 PCs to no avail. I tried System Restore on the Win 7 PC but that didn't help either.
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what could be wrong with the Win7 PC. I'm out of my wits!

Hello geekgeek. Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
    2. I bought the Airport Xtreme router today, and installed the Airport Utility on my Win7 PC. I unplugged the DIR655, and plugged in the Airport Xtreme.
Did you perform a complete power recycle of your networking equipment or just swapped routers? If you just swapped routers, then I would strongly suggest that you do a power recycle, as follows:
o Power-down the modem, 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn), and computers; wait at least 10-15 minutes.
o Power-up the modem; wait at least 10-15 minutes.
o Power-up the AEBSn; wait at least 5-10 minutes.
    o Power-up the computers.
All computers, connected by wire or wireless, should now have Internet access through the AEBSn. Please post back your results.

  • Can I connect 5.1 AND 2.1 Systems to my X-fi Xtreme Music?

What is the best way to connect both my logitech z5500 5.1 system AND my 2.1 Klipsch system to my X-fi Xtreme Music card?
The Klipsch 2.1's connect using a standard 3.5mm headphone jack.
I want sound in two different rooms. One system in the backroom and one system in the front room.
    Thanks,
    Nick

    Thanks.
Will this distort my sound quality at all, or will the signal be equally good when split?

  • Unable to access cube in OLAP Connection Browser using xtreme.mdb

    Post Author: moontube
CA Forum: Data Connectivity and SQL
    Hello Blair,
Thank you for posting the xtreme.mdb sample database and associated reports on the Business Objects Web site. In addition to the xtreme.mdb database, you posted an OLAP cube named Sales Reports.cub.  I am having a problem with this, using Crystal Reports 2008. I am able to connect to Sales Reports.cub as a local cube and when I click the Test Connction button on the Connection Properties dialog box, a dialog box appears telling me that I have succeeded in connecting. However, when I click OK to dismiss that box and return to the Connection Properties dialog box, the OK button is grayed out. I connot proceed. My cube does not appear in the tree in the OLAP Connection Browser. I would appreciate any help you or anyone else can give me to get me beyond this problem.

Before trying to use this URL in OBIEE to import cubes, try this in Internet Explorer.
    Follow the following steps:
    a. Run this URL in Internet Explorer
    b. You should get an output like this:

    c. If yes, this proves that the virtual directory in IIS has been configured properly. If you get any other message, for example "Page cannot be displayed" or "Page not found", it means there are some issues with Virtual directory.

  • SoundBlaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio Notebook connections to speake

Was wondering if anyone out there could tell me something? i have the creative S750 Gigaworks 7. surround sound speakers. i have just purchased the X-Fi Xtreme audio notebook card with the surround sound connection piece. on my sub there are four ports: Green, orange, white and black. Now on the other end of that very same cable there are only three, the typical Black, Green and Orange that i have used on my desktop for my 7. surround sound needs. My question is, where do i get this cable with both ends having all four colors to connect into my external speakers dock? if anyone can help me on this I would be greatly appreciati've. Thanks.........

There is a very good reason why it tells you your card isn't supported, that's because it isn't,?This download?is an?application for Creative Sound Blaster? X-Fi? series of audio devices. It restores 3D audio and EAX? effects for certain DirectSound?3D games in Microsoft? Windows Vista?. For more details, read the rest of this web release note.
This download supports the following audio devices only:
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro<
    Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi?XtremeGamer Fatalty?Pro<
    Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatalty<
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum Fatalty Champion Series<
    Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum<
    Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer<
    Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic<
?Alchemy was written to translate DirectSound3D software calls to OpenAL hardware calls, and unfortunately the Xtreme Audio doesn't have the hardware, the EMU20K2?(all that card basically is is a renamed SB Li've 24 bit/Audigy SE, neither of which have the hardware either).

  • No subwoofer with X-Fi Xtreme Music connected to analog 5.1 inputs of HT amplifier

I have a X-Fi Xtreme Music connected to the analog 5.1 channel inputs of my Thomson home theater amplifier.
Everything works fine expect for the subwoofer. When I play stereo content using CMSS 3D or when I use Creative's built-in DD or DTS decoders there's no sound of of the subwoofer. All the other speakers work perfectly but the subwoofer doesn't respond at all.
But when I use PowerDVD to playback a DVD/BluRay which has a Dolby or DTS 5.1 soundtrack the subwoofer works like a charm. I guess that's because PowerDVD uses it's own DD/DTS decoder and not the X-Fi's one.
I also tried to use the bass redirection function in the THX console but that didn't make a difference either.
I also tried different drivers but non of them could fix this so far:
-latest official driver and console launcher available from Creative (couldn't try the bass redirection with this driver as it has no THX console)
    -SB X-Fi Series Support Pack 2.0?by ?daniel_k
-SB X-Fi Series AuzenForte Pack .0 by daniel_k
Does anyone know that problem or maybe even know how to fix it's?
If it can't be fixed on the software side I thought about using a Y-cable and a low pass filter to input the X-Fi's center speaker signal into my amplifier's subwoofer input. The only problem with that would be that I would have to switch to the X-Fi's real subwoofer output and back when I play back a DVD or BluRay using PowerDVD as PowerDVD outputs the bass signal to the subwoofer output like it should be.
What do you think about that workaround?
    Thanks

Welcome to my dillema... i own the x-fi fatality and i'm on the virge of dumping it in favour of competition's cards. problem is that x-fi will NOT encode 5. over digital. Yes your receiver has 5. decoder but the card does NOT encode the sound. at best you'll get 2 channels. azuntech cards are capable of this I believe. what i am doing at the moment is use RCA cables and go over analog and let x-fi do the work as opposed to the receiver. 2x /8 stereo to 2 cable RCA, and /8 stereo to 3 cable RCA (camcorder type) cables. alternati'vely you can spend couple bucks and buy the adapter creative sells for connecting to home theater system. as far as what you can do to get x-fi to do 5. over digital... well there's not a hell of a lot you can do because the card doesn't support it... unless a creative staff can correct me and show me how to do this

  • X-Fi Xtreme Music + Digital I/O + Optical Connection for z-5

Hi there, im new and very raw so i was wondering if anyone can clear some things up.
Ive had my X-Fi Xtreme Music card for about 3 months and in that time i've been using the 3 analogue 3.5mm connections to my z-5500 controller, and i've had no problem in terms of getting full 5. sound for music and in games. Ive recently bought a digital I/O from creative to have an optical connection to the z-5500 controller.
    My questions are:
    1) Can i get 5. sound using the optical connection When i had the analogue connection, my z-5500 controller said it was 6. surround, but when i changed the input to optical, the controller said it was stero and not 6. surround. Ive testing the speakers in the creative console, but my rear right and rear left is mostly comming from my front right and front left speakers (something is comming out of the rear speakers but its very low)
    2) Ive downloaded the dell drivers and went through the process as noted on another thread and i've successfully got the dts and dolby digital working, but how do i know it works Is there some way i can test and see if it works I mean isnt my z-5500 controller supposed to say dts or dolby digital because at the moment it isnt.
    3) Is there any sound difference between an optical connection and the annalogue connection in terms of playing mp3's and games. Im aware that dts and dolby digital isnt available on the analogue connection, but i dont watch many dvd's on my comp so is there an point to have the optical connection
Thanks very much for anyone that helps.

To get a 5. spread on the 5500 with an optical or coaxial connection, you need to use the Effect button on the controller and switch to PL II Music. You can then spread the sound to the back using the Levels button and turning Surround up to your desired level. There are also some changes you can make using the Settings button.
As for the Dolby Digital and DTS, that will only show up on the controller when you are watching a DVD which supports either/or.
    Hope this helps

  • Can I add a second Airport Express using an Ethernet cable to extend my network if the first AX is wirelessly connected to an Xtreme?

Hi, I run a small motel and I am trying to extend the wireless network from the office to the rooms in the next building.
I have an AirPort Xtreme connected to my router with an ethernet cable and it works fine.  I have then connected an AirPort Express to this in the next bulding wirelessly (as i cant run an ethernet cable outside) which extends the network over all but the last 2 rooms in the next building.  There are bick walls so it sruggles over the distance.  I realise I cant connect another airport express wirelessly to extend the network further but can I connect another Airport Express using and ethernet cable to the exisiting Aiport Express to extend the network that extra distance?

You can do this, but as you might imagine, that is going to place even more of a load on the weakest link....the wireless "hop"......between your AirPort Extreme and the current AirPort Express.
So, things will slow down even more. Whether or not that will be acceptable to your guests is open to question. Light browsing and email should be OK. Someone trying to download a large file is going to be waiting longer than they might consider normal.
Things like this, you simply cannot predict in advance. Might be a good idea to understand the store's return policy if the new Express puts more of load on the network than is expected.

  • How to connect SB X-FI XTREME MUSIC with Creative Inspire 5.1 Digital 5

    Hi,
I want to know what I have to do to connect my x-fi xtreme music with my creative inspire 5. digital 5700 due to listen music with all? 5 twiters. I have windows vista ultimate 32bits. Thanks!?JoanMessage Edited by joanantoni on 07-9-200703:54 AM

With your Inspire 5. Digital 5700, your best bet is?using the analog Front and Rear input connections on the decoder and connect them to the X-Fi Xtreme Music front (Line Out )?and rear (Line?Out 2)?output connections and then enable CMSS Music or CMSS Movie Mode on your Digital 5700 decoder which will then give you a 4./5. Upmix. Gi'ven that you don't have a Center connection on the the Inspire 5. Digital 5700, no connection can made to the your Front Center satelite speaker/Subwoofer (Line Out 3) on your X-Fi Xtreme Music card. I'm led to understand that Creative speaker systems do not need Bass Redirection to reproduce proper Bass frequencies on your Subwoofer and not on your satelite speakers but you may want to test this simply enabling and disabling Bass Redirection, on your X-Fi Xtreme Music sound card, to your own personal taste. Alternately, you can concurrently connect your Inspire 5. Digital 5700 via the Coxial Digital/PCM Input to the FlexiJack input/output jack on the X-Fi Xtreme Music and then enable Digital I/O mode for the FlexiJack in the Audio Console found in the Windows Control Panel or?in the Entertainment Mode or Game Mode Consoles. Unfortunately the FlexiJack only provides a 2 conductor connection therefore it only supports 2. Speaker system connections?therefore you will still have to enable the CMSS Music or CMSS Movie Modes on your Inspire 5. Digital 5700 decoder to produce a 4./5. sound upmix. Sadly, no optical connection can be made between your Inspire 5. Digital 5700 and your X-Fi Xtreme Music sound card without the installation of the X-Fi I/O Dri've or X-Fi I/O Console at, of course, additional expense. From my standpoint, the X-Fi I/O Dri've is a good value given the number of external inputs and outputs in offers. Again, it's a matter of what your personal connection requirements are and budget. Hope this hel
    ps.

  • Connecting Inspire 5200 to X-Fi Xtreme Noteb

    Hi,?
I have a set of creative Inspire 5200 5. speaker and I want to connect them to my notebook with the X-Fi Xtreme Notebook card.
Before buying the card, I want to make sure I can connect the speaker to the speaker docking module and I also want to know if I can connect my Xbox 360 optical cable to the card to have a 5. sound with the speaker.
If anyone know if this will work or know a better way to connect all of this please let me know.
    Thx.

Lazy to search? It's been here (and there) 'bout thousand times already so it shouldn't be hard to find...
?....actually no,i thought my post clearly stated that i had seen conflicting posts and diagrams with regards to which was the right way to conenct the headers to the pins, and i was just looking for clarification. I apologise if i wasent clear in enough in this. Anyway, thankyou for taking yor time to respond and i will look into the link you gave me and see if its a good solution. Im trying to connect the front panel mic and headphone jacks on my antec sonata 2 case to my x-fi xtreme music s card, here is what i have/havent found out:?.after 2 hours of trying ,then 35 seconds of looking here,i tried to stick the mics jack into the wired remote mic jack of my t7900 speakers thinking it would work, can someone pls clarify that input on wired remote is ONLY for mp3 players etc,and not for microphones?2.there appears to be a way of connecting the single pins coming from my front audio panel on case(there is also a 0 pin block ,but that doesent fit,i think it for intel something or other) to the long 0 strip pin thing on the x-fi card,i have see various diagrams on the net etc,but some different, most labelled -0 but i dont know which one is and one is 0 etc....again,if any? one can explain how i could do this pls?3.is it just easier to buy the x-fi 5.25inch front panel jobbie,if the above is not possible?,and if so i have problems sourcing that too anywhere in uk?srry for asking so many questions, but im a bit peeved to have all this gear,go out to buy a headset and mic for playing games, and find out its harder than the krypton factor to set up... many thanks in advance?sc_

  • How to connect a "Clear Network" Modem to my Airport Xtreme?

Hello friends. I recently purchased the clear network modem. I need to know how to connect it to my Airport Extreme and get my local network at home working with 4 computers. Thank you!

Except that I don't know much about the Extreme, it should be simple.
Power down the computers, the Extreme, & the Clear Modem, wait 5 minutes, connect an Ethernet cable, (it is one with Ethernet right?), from the Clear Modem to the WAN port of the Extreme, power up the Modem, wait 3 minutes & power up the Extreme, wait 2 minutes & power up the Mac(s).
Windows directions, but basically the same to setup the Extreme to hand out IPs...

  • Best way to connect z5400 to X-fi xtreme mu

hello all?i have the z5400 logitech speakers and have connected it to my x-fi via? the yellow/green/black cables. i was wondering if there was a better way to do this. if so could you give a link of the cable i should buy?thanks in advance!

Re: Best way to connect X-Fi elite pro to logitech z5500? ok after a long time i had some progress today finally . so i found out there is no DD or DTS encoder software coming for x-fi elite pro automatially and it has to be purchased from : http://buy.soundblaster.com/_creativelabsstore/cgi-bin/pd.cgi?page=product_detail&category=Software&pid=F 2222DDN6Z2H2ADDEZD
after that u get the same output no matter u use optical, coax or analogue connection. so i pretty much now get the same result by using any of these connections.
and finally this package is really usefull , actually way better than the drivers creative provides itself : http://forums.creative.com/t5/Sound-Blaster/SB-X-Fi-Series-Support-Pack-2-0-05-5-2009/m-p/527485
i almost retured this soud card toda but after i could fix my problem, i start loving it again lol

  • Does the DDL and DTS Connect Pack work with a X-Fi Xtreme Music UAA

    ? Hello,
hope u don't mind my English. I have learned it a long time ago, don't need it very often and the grammer was always my problem.
I know the patch works with a X-Fi Xtreme Music, but I am not sure about the UAA (what does this mean and do I need optical or coax out). I tried the titanium pcie before but then I have the skipping/lags effect like some others with Powerdvd9 Ultra as well. It seems that there is no workaround for this. I have no problems with my old X-Fi Xtreme Audio
    Thanks in advance
    scorpie
    PS.
Maybe there is a workaround now but I can't find something
    Some infos:
    Board Asus P5B
2 Nvidea Gards 8800GT and 9500 GT (no SLI)
    XP 64 bit SP3
    8GIG Ram
    LG GGC-H20L

SPDIF out has nothing to do with support. I have no idea what hte Xtreme Music UAA supports. I would imagine if it uses the DSP from the normal X-FI line, it would. If it uses the DSP from the Xtreme Audio, it won't.
