Connecting two iPods to computer at same time
Question: Am I able to connect two iPods (Nano and Shuffle)to my computer at same time? I would want to do this to mainly charge the batteries to these units. My computer has a four high-speed USB connections and I would like to know if this is possible and/or advisable. Thanks very much.
I'm not sure if you're able to use both at the same time (for data transfer)... You should, however, be able to use both for charging.
If you eject the iPods it shouldn't be a problem to use more than one at the same time. To eject the iPod in iTunes you would go to the iPod in the source list (on the left, under library, podcasts, etc.) then click on the little eject button, it'll stop being recognized by the computer so it should work.

Can't connect two iPads to Internet at same time
I recently got an iPad2 for Christmas - my husband already had one. We have realized that we can't both get online in our home at the same time! All other devices in the house are connected (iMac, Roku, my work laptop, etc.) and we can get one of us connected to the wifi network, but then the other one seems to get kicked off. I checked IP addresses for both devices and it seems like we have different ones - the last digit of the IP address is different at least. I was going to call Apple but was thinking they would assume this is an issue with our Internet provider and not the iPad. Has anyone had this problem?
We have tried restarting the iPads, rebooting the modem/router, and clicking "renew lease" in the iPad network settings (I don't even know what "renew lease" is but we tried it anyway...)Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Can not connect two computers to net at same time
I have a desktop and laptop connected to router. I can only have one on the net at a time. If one is one and I try to connect the other it will disconect or say busy. Any suggestions?
Make sure your modem is connected to the "Internet" port on the router, not one of the numbered ports.
Are you using any fixed LAN IP addresses? If so, list the addresses that you use and also list your DHCP server range. -

How do connect two iPods at once.
Hello, I have two iPods that I connect to one computer (1 a 5th gen ipod, and 1 a 4th gen ipod).
I can only ever connect one of the two iPod's. When ever I try and connect a 2nd iPod, iTunes disconnects the 1st iPod, and only shows the 2nd iPod, and this then gives a windows error on the 1st iPod.
Has anyone ever been able to connect two iPods at once in itunes for Windows?i have the same problem. With one ipod and another ipod nano, the itunes doesnt works, and need to restart it.

Here is my dilemma, my daughter dropped my wifes iphone in the bath and it will now only power up when plugged into the mains. When plugged in it cannott find the sim and according to the local apple store the wifi antenna is also broken.
We are not bothered about the phone it is the 1500 photos and videos of our girls which we dont want to lose. The phone hasnt been backed up recently and she is not registered with icloud so that is out the window.
So, i thought that if the phone could be powered by the mains and somehow connected to my pac at the same time i could perhaps get the photos synced and then the phone can be traded in at the store for a £119 replacement, thank you by the way Apple!!! you pay full retail for a product (£419) and all you get told is "your phones knackered, that will be £119 please"
It worht pointing out that the USB doesnt turn the phone on when connected to the mac.
Is there such a cable in existence which has two usb leads from the iphone dock connector??
I just cant beleive that the photos and videos cannot be accessed and saved by a company that always tells us they are cutting edge and ahead of the rest of the market, especially as the phone traded in will get, repaired, wiped and sold on as a refubed phone, if they can do that they can get us our files off.

If it can power on when on AC power AND it can connect to either the cellular network or WiFi, plug it in and power it on and e-mail the photos to yourself. Not the most elegant solution, but it beats losing all of them. I assume you were not in the habit of backing up very often. -
Two processes running at the same time in Lookout
I have installed Lookout 5.0 with 200 I/O Points onto our server computer. The application of motion control is next to the 200 I/O points through OPC PMAC server/client. Now I would like to have a second process in the same server for trouble shooting and testing without stopping the motion control process. However, this second testing process could have also many I/O points through Serial and USB ports. I assume that the total amount of I/O points of both processes will be greater than 200.I prefer to have independent processes for control and testing because access levels. Can I have these two processes running at the same time when needed?

From your description you are using a third party OPC server for the motion application. You could have a second Lookout process communicating with the same OPC server with no problems, as long as you do not exceed the number of I/O points your license supports.
Also, the process you are using for testing obviously could not overwrite datamembers (or registers if you will) that would interfere in the overall application, in other words you can test your application as long as you keep the coherency of the test.
So the answer would be, yes it is possible, however you are still limited to the number of I/O's your license supports... You may even consider upgrade the number of I/O's you have in your license.

I'm trying to log into two facebook accounts at the same time in differant windows. When ever I log into the second account in the second window it changes the login in the first window. When I hit home or any other link the first window account has been logged out and logged into the second window account. I tried installing a second copy of firefox in a differant folder that the first but it seems to use all the files of the first installation. If I can get 2 toatally seperated instalations that don't rely on the same history, cookies, cache, etc I belive that will solve my problem. Please help.

Control two different parameters at the same time
Two motors were connected each other rigidly. One motor controlled torque and the other motor controlled speed. I generated some torque and speed data which represented one cycle of motion from a motor simulation. I like to send these two different data sets (torque and speed) to two different motors at the same time. Torque data sends to one motor and speed data sends to the other motor to see the response of the load profile. In order to do this, I thought about using multithread, but I am not sure it will work for this application. Usually multithreading delay the CPU time so the overall control process might be delayed, right? If you have better idea, please let me know.
If you are using one motion controller to control both motors, you will probably run into problems if you try to use multithreading on the PC. However, you can execute up to 10 programs (threads) at a time, in addition to host communication, using on-board programming. Just pick up the length you need.
But the price is almost the same with the cheapest 2.0 usb hub (4 port), so you better consider the usb hub one.

waiting your reply.You can connect two iPods to the one computer, yes. However, you can't take files from an iPod and put it on another computer or iPod normally. There are some programs that allow you to take the files off an iPod and put them on a computer, but I don't think you can transfer directly from iPod to iPod.
To connect the two iPods to the one PC, you need the connector cable for both of them - one cable will not do. The cable is white, and it has a USB and an iPod connector. It's the cable you use to connect the iPod to your PC normally. Put both of the cables in a different USB slot, and you're set.
If one of the iPods is not 'registered' to the correct computer, you can click the 'Cancel' button and keep the iPod plugged in. I hope you understand what I mean.
I've never used a program to get files from the iPod to a PC, but I know of a couple. Here's a list of a few names I know :

You can find those three on Cnet's Download website (http://www.download.com). They're all for Windows - I never checked if you have a Mac. I don't think any of them are free, but I didn't check. -

The likely reason no one can connect to the mini when it is connected to your work VPN has more to do with your work than your home set up. The administrator at work would have to decide to allow for "split-tunneling", thereby allowing your mac to be connected to work and the outside world simultaneously.

Env: Lync 2010 Server , Vatage servers - 2 active , 1 passive
Commn: FE contacts HLB to reach Vantage servers
Recently we have added one vantage servers to the lync environment and made two vantage servers as Active.
After adding 3rd vantage servers and made two vantage servers as active , we are seeing the following behaviours:
1) archived messages are duplicated with different transcripts ID
2) Two active servers connections were not established at the same time. Only one is active at all times. There is four front end servers.

Please disable the third Vantage server and test again.
Please check if all services started for all FE servers and Vantage servers.
You can enable logging on FE servers for further troubleshooting.

EdgarOracle 8i supports 'INSTEAD OF' triggers on object views so you could use a process similar to the following:
1. Create an object view that joins your two tables. 'CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW test AS SELECT d.deptno, d.deptname, e.empname FROM DEPT d, EMP E'.
2. Create an INSTEAD OF trigger on the view.
3. Put code in the trigger that looks at the :NEW values being processed and determines which columns should be used to INSERT or UPDATE for each table. Crude pseudo-code might be:
