Connecting web mail to iPad2

Hello, I want to set my Orange web mail up so I can access it directly on my iPad 2. I.e. Not via the browser. When I try to set it up I'm asked for details of the outbound and inbound servers and passwords......where do I find these please?

I'm trying to connect to the smtp mail server run on my web application host (mail.hhraweb.com). I can't seem to get to it anymore on port 25

When I click on Web mail I get "The connection has time out

When I click on "Web Mail" from Glossbrenner United Methodist Church web page, it won't log on to my email page. I keep getting - The connection has time out

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

Ifou don't see any reports listed, but you know there was a panic, you may have chosen Diagnostic and Usage Messages from the log list. Choose DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION instead.

I use web mail from lotus notes and need Firefox to connect with my MacBook Pro. Since updating to version four I no longer have the ability to see or open attachements. What I am doing wrong?

I updated my MacBook Pro with version 4 yesterday. I access my company's lotus notes with this browser. I can access the web site, but cannot open attachments. The message I received is that I have removed the attachment. I haven't. The text that states the name of the attachment is there. I can click on it but it won't open and there is nothing in the attachment box in Web Mail.

Spontaneous trouble receiving mail from Mail Application and Web Mail

Hello,
Unfortunately I need some assistance. For unknown reasons, today at about 12 PM our in house email server (10.3.9) started failing to allow any user to connect to download mail. I have users running POP and other users running IMAP accounts that had the same lack of function.
When I connect using web mail I get the following error:
Error connecting to IMAP server: localhost. 61 : Connection refused
When I connect from the Mail application I get the following error:
The server "mail.mycompany.com" refused to allow a connection on port 110
 When I connect using the Server Admin program the IMAP and POP logs are empty despite being set to the “All events” setting, and the SMTP log contains the following message frequently despite still being able to send email from the affected accounts:
(temporary failure. Command output: couldn't connect to lmtpd: Unknown Error Code: 0_ 421 4.3.0 deliver: couldn't connect to lmtpd_ )
I have restarted the server, I have run disk utility to repair permissions and made no intentional adjustments to the server in the last week. The last adjustment to the mail server I made was about 1 month ago to turn on IMAP authentication to allow me to switch from a POP to an IMAP email account.
Please help me figure this out!

I found the logs and while there is a mail.log there is no mailaccess.log file.
There is a mailaccess.log.0.gz which I decompressed and I also decompressed the mailacess.log.1.gz.
The mailaccess.log.1 file contains entries from July 10th through July 11th.
The mailaccess.log.0 file contains entries from August 14th through August 15th (today). Seems like there was a long period that did not get archived correctly.

Why can't I open my Xfinity Connect comcast mail? It shows me what's mail is availble, but can't open it.

I click on an email and it just repeats showing the preview of what's available. I can't access any of the features of the email to compose or check sent messages, etc.

That's really a support issue for Comcast help, but I happen to be a Comcast user, too.
When you are viewing the Inbox Preview page, the first thing that appears after to log into your web mail account, hit the '''View Entire Inbox''' link to see your inbox.
I can '''click''' on an email on the Inbox Preview to view that particular email, but a double-click just reloads the Inbox Preview page. That seems to work different in "Connect Lite" than it does in the default "Connect".

Not able to access lotus notes web mail through safari on my ipad 2

I am using ipad 2 on 6.1. As a newbie I tried to connect to my lotus notes account through safari and chrome, but couldnt. Plz help.
O android a app is their to retrieve the web mail through ultralite mode. Please suggest

Perhaps related, ever since upgrading to 4.0.1 I can't even log in to google mail. I've cleared cookies, cache, history, and power cycled the phone, but no matter what cookie setting I choose in the settings menu, Gmail fails to accept my login, telling me that my browser isn't accepting cookies. Anyone found a workaround?

Unable to sed emails in Web Mail

Hi,
I know this has been covered before but despite following all advice from previous postings and information from the technical dept at BT still can not send emails using web mail.
This has only been a problem for past couple of days and we know that the email system works ok as checked via the web portals.
I think it is the server port numbers so can someone advise what these figures should be - until last week they were set at 110 and 25 and I have tried 587, 465, 993 to no avail.

I have just sent a test e-mail from my btinternet account, to my gmail account, using Thunderbird, and it arrived right away.

Cannot download Mail from ISP Web Mail Page. Help please?!!

Last night suddenly my mail stopped downloading new incoming mail from the server web mail page.
I have spoken to my ISP/server (they have an excellent Mac tech team.) and the settings for my account are correct, and Connection Doctor says all is well.
I can send mail, well I have not had any response from people yet to know they got it! But a test to myself goes into my web mail page and will not download either.
My ISP says they wonder if it is problem with the Mail application.
I do not want to do a clean install, and risk losing any data.
As it was all of my old mail in my inbox and Trash, I had kept from people as a reminder, that went when we altered the settings temporarily but when that did not work we went back to the original settings.
I hate having to have a web page open as well as my mail when replying to a person.
Any ideas?
Or if it is a Mail problem might it work if I used a different mail application such as Eudora or Thunderbird?

Anyone else unable to connect to mail.btinternet.com this evening?
Imap connection in Outlook is working for a change but the pop3 connection in Outlook returns an error trying to connect to mail.btinternet.com.
Is this related to the switchover does anyone know?

Since BT have changed their web browser and email log on, I'm experiencing problems. I have a PC, laptop, chrome book and iPad. Both my wife and I have trouble logging in after entering our user names and passwords on all systems. Click on the 'Log into email' button and not a thing happens. Eventually, after closing the browser several times, it will eventually work. Now if I log in via 'Windows Live Mail' it logs in every time. Now would you agree that there must be a problem with BT's new and supposedly better program. Only BT technical desk in Mumbai doesn't seem to agree! They also don't appear to know what their browser and email log in pages look like!

Mail connection to mail server

I'm using iMac running Snow Leopard. On Mail application I have 5 e-mail accounts. On some accounts and often get exclamation mark and it will disappear when I run Mail Connection Doctor. After a few minutes, the exclamation mark appears again.

Since updating to Firefox 6 my web mail signature for replies shows up as html code. Does not do this on other browsers or other versions of Firefox.

My web mail signature shows up like this:

It changed after updating Firefox. It is fine on other browsers or older versions of Firefox.

Thanks for your reply cor-el. I had never heard of nor seen the pref network.http.max-connections until I read about it in some of the replies in this support forum. People were saying 256 was the old setting and a new setting of 48 would correct my problem. When I followed the instructions to get to - see - and change the setting I discovered that my network.http.max-connections was already set to 48. I never did this. The only way I can think of that this setting was changed is that it happened by an automatic update to my Firefox browser. So, the problem I have was probably happening while this setting was at 48 all along. It is still set at 48 and I am still having the same problem. I will try as you suggest and set it to 30 and see what happens. I'll let you know the results. That's again for your response.

Firefox Issues with Web Mail

Hi,
I'm currently running OS X 10.4.11 and I use Firefox as default browser. Each user is a network user and when it comes to them checking there e-mails through our Web Mail service, Firefox gives an error saying it cannot connect to the server. We have tried using other browsers such as Safari but still no luck. However, if we login as 'admin' we can access our Web Mail...
Any ideas?
Our school server is running OS X 10.6.6 (Not sure if anymore information is needed)

PS: This is also a matter on my work computer running OS X 10.6.6 I can access the web mail through admin but when I'm logged in as my network login it doesn't work - I've noticed that this website doesn't work either through the network user...

I've checked both the http proxy and the https proxy and both settings are the same...
I've asked around and some people have suggested that the local council have made changes to there firewall, but surely this would affect both network and non-network users, as proxy login credentials still have to be entered to gain access to the internet.
