Connecting Windows 7 to Apple Radius server

Anyone know how to get a windows 7 machine to connect to an apple radius server? My macs work great and authenticate perfectly, but my windoww boxes won't connect at all.

Servers and server-oriented networks expect substantially more knowledge of the administrator. The Apple servers are among the easiest I've encountered, but they're still (far) more involved than running a client box.
You need local DNS services. Mac OS X Server expects that.
You need a server-grade firewall. With TC, you have a home-user widget with port-forwarding. A server-grade firewall typically offers programmable pass-through, (for this case) VPN end-point and various other features depending on your current and planned usage. Anti-malware and anti-spam and other defenses can be available. Free (open-source) and commercial firewall options exist.
You need a business-class tier of service with your ISP, as a residential tier can and variously will be blocked by the ISP.
Everything that's not behind a firewall or a VPN will be directly attacked. The servers I administer get attacked quite frequently, as do the external firewalls. Getting breached stinks.
My usual approach here would be a VPN from the remote box into your server-grade Firewall (which also handles NAT and some other issues), and (via the VPN) the remote client (Windows or Mac or Linux or whatever) then appears to be directly connected to your local LAN.

And while no offense is intended, it's going to be fastest to call in somebody to set this up, and as an escalation path for your organization. You probably have a business to run and customers to deal with, and networks and network security and VPN setup and such aren't something you probably want to spend your own time on; they're something you can out-source.

Authenicating Windows Servers to NMAS Radius Server

I am trying to figure out how to authenicate logins to a Windows Server (W2k & W2003) via NMAS Radius Server 3.8. Has anyone done this?

Exchange Server 2013 with a RADIUS server (freeRADIUS).

I am a student and doing an internship. I have to test Microsoft Exchange Server 2013.
I am using Windows Server 2012, I already installed Exchange Server 2013 on it and everything works as intended.
But I couldn't find out how to configure my Windows Server 2012 in order to authenticate my mailbox users from Exchange Server 2013 with a RADIUS server which is not on my Windows Server 2012. I have to use their RADIUS server (freeRADIUS), the RADIUS server
from the company where I am doing my internship.
I already created a NPS and added the RADIUS Client + Remote
RADIUS Server Groups. I created a Connection Request Policies with the condition:
User Name *
I forwarded the Connection Request to the
Remote RADIUS server that I created in Remote RADIUS Server Groups and then I registered the NPS in th AD. But it's still not working.
Maybe I did something wrong or I misunderstood something or does this even work with Exchange Server 2013? To authenticate mailbox users with a RADIUS server before they can login into their mailbox and use their mailbox?

The first AAA server listed in your config will always be used unless/until it becomes unavailable. At that point the NAD would move down to the next AAA server defined on the list and use that one until it becomes unavailable and then move to third one, and so on.
If you want to use two AAA servers at the same time then you will need to put a load balancer in front of them. Then the virtual IP (vip) will be listed in the NADs vs the individual AAA servers' IPs.

Bridging a WPA2 Enterprise Radius Server (Lion Server) to Apple TV

I was wondering if anyone can help me out with this setup that I have with Lion Server. Recently I set up my Airport Extreme to use Radius and bind it to my Lion Server for Authentication. Radius works with most of my devices, except for my ATV2 (which is in a different room from the AIrport Extreme.) As most of you may know, ATV2 doesn't support WPA2 Enterprise networks.
Ideally what I would like to do is have the Apple TV connect to my wireless network for all of my videos that are shared on a HD connected to my Lion Server. I was thinking about looking for a WPA2 enterprise wireless bridge with an Ethernet port so that I can connect the ATV to the bridge and have the bridge connect to my Airport Extreme. However, here is what I can not figure out. How can I get that bridge to authenticate to the Radius Server on Lion Server? From my understanding the Radius service on the Lion Server uses its own proprietary radius server to where I couldn't get the bridge to cnnect.
Please let me know your thoughts. If it helps, I have a 1st generation TC that I can place in the other room. However, I couldn't see any functionality in Airport Utility that would allow me to bridge that box to the WPA 2 Enterprise network.

Windows 2k8 Radius Server with Cisco Wireless Controllers

We currently are using a Cisco 4400 wireless controller with an older Cisco Secure ACS appliance that is going EOL. My hope was to just connect our 4400 Wireless Controller to a Windows Server 2008 Radius Server (Just using Microsoft's Network Policy Server) but have not had any luck in getting this to work. Does anyone have an easy to follow set of instructions on configuration of Microsoft Windows Server 2008 NPS for use with Cisco Wireless Controllers? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Re: rv220w, WAP121 and WAP321 stops connecting to radius server

Looks like this isn't getting much attention however I have the same issue in a number of hours on the WAP121 and WAP321. It is clockwork and a reboot "resolves" it for the nest little while. This is not an acceptable solution.
Chatty devices can make it happen very quick like a Windows Phone 8 whick tries ESP-MSCHAPv2 a number of times before EAP-PEAP-MSCHAPv2 for instance eventually causing the accesspoint to stop sending any RADIUS attempts at all no matter what device attempts to connect until the accesspoint is rebooted again. The server logs will begin showing challenges again after the AP reboot.
This is the most critical function of these devices and they are failing at it.

Newbie: Connect Windows - OSX Server

I'm wondering how i manage to get a remote desktop connection from a windows machine to the osx server?
If i try on the windows the remote desktop with the IP of the server it can't connect.
By the way, how to i manage to get a remote connection from mac to mac server?

I would politely disagree. Yes, definitely, the Mac 'Screen Sharing' app works a treat, and Apple Remote Desktop.app works as well, but I am coming from a Window's PeeCee.
For me, connecting to my 10.5(.8) Server via tightvnc gives 'Server did not offer supported security type!". Using RealVNC to this machine states "No matching security types Do you wish to reconnect to ... ?" a telnet to this AppleVNCServer service (port 5900), shows RFB 003.889 *, or Remote Frame Buffer Major 3, minor 889.
Also, connecting to multiple 10.6(.1) Clients with Tightvnc correctly asks for a password but then hangs at "Status: Security type requested". Using RealVNC opens, connects, asks for authentication, and exits. Telneting to this AppleVNCServer service (port 5900), also shows RFB 003.889 *.
The Current Version of the protocol is supposed to be 3.8, that is Major version 3, minor version 8. Not 80 or 800 but Eight). http://www.realvnc.com/docs/rfbproto.pdf and I believe that tightvnc only supports up to version 3.7.
On each station I have installed the 'old' OSXVnc.app as a service (to a unique port). OSXVnc utilizes protocol 3.3 and I can control them successfully, but that is of my own doing because of this issue.
Now JollysFastVNC works a treat to any machine I have EVER tried to connect to. I have not tried COTVNC or any of the others (too slow for me, when they wer e around)
Also, I just noticed that RealVNC states that their free and personal version will not connect to Mac OSX (x86 and PPC) but the Enterprise one will. I just Dl'ed the Enterprise Viewer and it gave essentially the same thing ('protocol is not valid' message, even after it asks for a password). Anyway, I am not here to hijack this thread, just trying to keep the info flowing and open.
Maybe I am the only one with these problems but the bottom line is I cannot use Real or Tight, or UltraVNC to administer my server or clients as long as AppleVNCServer gives out the 003.889 protocol version.

Ditto. Guest accounts shouldn't have a password. No way to enter one in System Prefs...

I would presume so, but it might be worth your while to experiment and play around with different combinations to see if you can block FaceTime while keeping Game Center open. Good luck!

Connecting AE to a RADIUS server wirelessly

I have found several posts on this subject, but none that have the same circumstances. I am running a Snow Leopard Server with RADIUS enabled to authenticate users connecting to my AEBS/s. I need to join an AE to the network wirelessly to connect a printer which is in an area where I can't run cabling.
I have tried numerous times and spent a lot of time on the internet looking for a solution. In most cases the perpetrators are trying to connect to a University network or some such. In my case I control both sides of the equation.
Does anyone have an idea how I may be able to connect the AE to the AEBS wirelessly using the RADIUS server (802.1X, TTLS)?

I to have the same issue. Have Airport Extreme connected to RADIUS server and I want to extend that with an airport express so I can use airplay on my stereo in living room. Somebody help please.
