Connecting with a "Rogers Rocket Stick" in Ontario.

Has anyone figured out how to connect with one of these "Rocket Sticks" from Rogers? It's an Option iCON 322.
I've found a lot of forums about the same modem on ATT and Cingular but not much on Rogers. So far as I can tell their only advice is to downgrade to Leopard.
Any help would be appreciated!

I'm not sure if this is the same issue but I need help. My sister lives in a remote part of Mission BC and just got a Rogers Rocket Stick attached with velcro to a Wilson cell phone booster cable. It works fine with her Windows desktop (no wifi card) and her Macbook Pro. But she's tethered to the booster cable. She bought an Airport Express on my advice to give her wifi with her laptop. She loaded the software, plugged the Rocket Stick into the USB port on the AE but then ran into trouble trying to run through the options presented on her screen there. Despite my experiences in setting up a network with an AExpress and an AExtreme, I was unsure where to go next. Help??? Is another kind of wireless router what she needs or is it just following the correct paths in the AE setup?

  • Labview program to find the external hardwares connected with the PC

    Hai All,
Do any one know how to find the external hardware details connected with our PC (like USB memory stick),  using labview program.

That's assuming the user is running Windows.
If you are under Windows you can access this information from the Registry. For example, for USB you can look at the key
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Enum\USB.

  • Bluetooth with D-Link USB-Stick DBT-120/122

    Hello,
Apple and users recommend for Bluetooth connections the D-Link USB-Stick DB T-120. I ordered this stick and got the DBT-122. On the D-Link website the DBT-120 is no longer available but the DBT-122. Are there experiences with this new version? Are they compatible?
    Thank you
    Rolf

    G5   Mac OS X (10.4.3)

Hi, roma, Will, and Alexander —
The Apple Store has D-Link DBT-120 adapters in stock. I'd give you a direct link, but for some reason it may "time out."   Follow links to Mac Accessories »» Airport & Wireless »» "D-Link DBT-120 USB Bluetooth Adapter."  If not in the U.S., there's a pull-down menu at the bottom of the page to other locales.
In my experience, the Apple sales staff won't specify the version (or in D-Link lingo, the "Revision") — although if you push, you'll be transferred to a tech. who assures you that all products are tested to be sure they work.  Duh...
But I think I can give you an idea on that: there's a ~new brick-and-mortar Apple Store in my town; so I went and checked last week. Their stock are all D-Link DBT-120 Rev. B3 adapters.
    Does this help?

  • Could you please help me connect my Telstra usb internet stick to my new Macbook Air? This is my first Mac and I am really struggling!

    Hi,
I just brought my first Mac at Christmas and I am trying to connect my Telstra usb internet stick to it.
The Mac recognises the internet stick and the widget pops up for the stcik but then asks me to register the internet stick with this computer. I am provided with a a description on how to do this (go to Open Network Preferences > a new pop up will say New System/internet found etc), but the "new system/internet pop up never appears, so I can click on the "directIP" showing on the left hand sinde of the Open Network Preferences windon, but then I dont know where to go from there.
Could anyone help me with a step by step (aka lamens description) of how to fix this?
    Thank you very much!

Hey there, my experience with the Telstra USB internet dongles is a little different, don't think you need to fuss with settings and all that, it's basically designed to plug and play almost.
When you plug it in, it should prompt you to install the Telstra utility. Have you done this? You will know because in your 'Applications' you will see a Telstra icon. You need to use this utility to connecto the internet.
So, if you have this, simply double click it and when the utility opens, click 'Connect' and as long as the dongle can detect the network it will connect. There should not be any other configuration required.
If that utility is not there, then install it. When you plug in the dongle, you will see it appear as a drive, should be able to just double click it and then go through the installation process.
Failing all that, head into a telstra store and the guys there will sort it out for you quite quickly.

  • I cant connect my new wimax usb stick bm328 on my macbook pro. please help me

i cant connect my new wimax usb stick bm328 on my macbook pro. please help me

The Hardware Test detected a RAM problem.  Take out the chips and make certain that the connections are clean and reinstall them.  Make certain that they are well seated.
If the problem occurs again, test with one chip at a time.  Also swap bays if necessary.
Please indicate if you have installed new RAM and if so what brand and the specifications.
    Ciao.

  • E4200 connect with Sony KDL-46EX701 at 2.4 Only

My E4200 does not connect with my Sony KDL-46EX701 at 5 GHz.  The set sees the 5 GHz at medium strength or highter, but won't connect.  Password is correct and verified.  The Sony's UWA -BR100 adapter should work at 5 GHz, and it did work with my E3200 at 5GHz (unfortunately, it also caused the tv to recycle off and on whether connected at 2.4 or 5GHz).
2.4 works fine with the E4200 and the Sony.
Problem occurs with 1.0.0.1 firmware and 1.0.0.2 firmware.

As my first post mentioned, I've been there and done that to no avail.
I also tried a Netgear WNDR4000, with the same result.
I've noticed that the 5 GHz reception on the Sony looks weak/unstable.  I think the problem is that Sony's UWA-BR100 stick has poor reception, particulary at 5 GHz.  Worked ok in winter and spring, but even indoors w/AC and good ventilation, my usable wireless range has always dropped significantly in summer when it's hot and humid.
Anyway, I gave up.  I took and Linksys E3000 that I was going to return, installed TomatoUSB on it, set it up to be a wireless ethernet bridge, disabled the 2.4 GHz radio, and then wired it to the Sony.  Then I manually configured the IP settings on my Sony TV.  With the E3000 as a wireless bridge, the E4200 and the Sony connect perfectly at 5 GHz.  Expensive fix, unfortunatly.

  • Profiler not connecting with AIR?

I just upgraded from 4.6 to 4.7, and I can't get the profiler to work consistently. I did see it working once, but then I changed the SDK (trying to get AIR 4.0 + ASC2) and now I can't get it to connect with ANY SDK.
I have an ActionScript Project which is a Desktop app using AIR. My app compiles and runs correctly and the profiler boots up, then sits there all zeroes. Peak Memory: 0K. No Live Objects. Time ticking along. App running normally in ADL, but totally ignored by the profiler. I see nothing in the console, and the profiler seems to think there's nothing wrong.
    How do I troubleshoot this?

I never figured out what was wrong. After an entire day of fiddling I repeated all the same steps on a different machine (install FB4.7, create a new project, paste in my codebase, connect the SDK, compile, profile) and it worked correctly, so I switched to profiling on the new machine.
Maybe the issue is some corrupt FB configuration file that sticks around after uninstallation? I considered trying Adobe's CC Cleaner Tool, but it requires uninstalling every piece of Adobe software first and I wasn't ready to go that far.

  • I have iPad2 and original iPad. After upgrade to iOS5 neither will connect to wifi network. Network is working as I have connectivity with iPhone and Mac Airbook. What's the problem?

I have downloaded iOS 5 to both iPad 2 and original iPad. I cannot get wifi to work on either. It's not my wifi as I have connectivity with other devices, just not with the iPad. Any ideas?

I'm having the same problem.  The iPad has never roamed particularly well between access points, but under IOS6 it doesn't seem to roam at all, it simply sticks with the access point it first connected with.
I don't have a solution for you, unfortunately.

  • Slow connection with build in WiFi card

I have a wanadoo family adsl internet 20 mbit connection with a live box. The live box is also a wireless router.
When i connect to the livebox wiht my toshiba mx40-231 the connection is very slow. The connection is constantly switching between 1mbps and 54 mbps and speeds between. This is also the problem. One moment a internet page is send in 1/10 of a seccond and 1 minute later a page is loading in 20 secconds! the strang thing is that the signal strength is constant high!
With the live box i got also a USB wireless stick. when i use this stick i get a constant 54 mbps very very fast connection.
It seems to me the build in wireless card is the problem. I have already the latest wireless driver and tried a few channels on the router.
Anyone got a idea to solve this problem so i can throw this wireless stick away :-) Very clumpsy thing this wireless stich on such a beautifull laptop!

    Hi
If you check wireless board you will find many topics about this theme. It is known that Intel wireless card 2200 B/G make troubles and connection is not constant. We can just speculate why this happen but the fact is that this card has problems with different routers.
For example: Satellite M40 has the same card and work fantastic with Netgear router. Even with Belkin it works well with full speed.
I recommend you to install latest Intel driver
    Good luck

  • Trying to connect with a friend with a different cell carrier but unable do you have to be with same cell carrier to connect?

Cannot connect with a friend who has an Iphone 4  but is using bell carrier....I have iphone 4 but with rogers....should just be able to click on the contact name and then facetime and connect right?  Anyone else having the same issue?  If so how did you resolve?
    thanks...

No, it doesn't matter what cell service either of you are using.
Can both of you use FaceTime with other people?
Try turning FaceTime off and then back on in Settings, Phone.
If that doesn't work, one or both of you might need to open the ports listed in Apple's document -> http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4245.
    WTH.

Adobe cloud has lost connection with the server, can't get adobe cloud to work so I can re-install photoshop to fix a corrupted DLL file.

    *Adding new items/removing orphans*
Try iTunes Folder Watch or iTunes Library Updater. Folder Watch is much faster on the adding files front, can be set to run in the background and includes a useful exclusion feature, however it’s slow at removing orphans. iTLU is better for this although doing it manually after looking at a list of proposed removals generated by Folder Watch is probably faster still. iTLU can also be set to update iTunes when you've used 3rd party tools to change tag info.
You may need to amend the list of file types these programs look for. My list includes:
    .mp3 .mp4 .m4a .m4b .m4p .m4v .mov .wav .aif .mid .ipa .ipg .ite .itlp .m4r .pdf
Note the last 6 types may not be recognised as already being in the library so should either be omitted from the search or you can add (at least for Folder Watch) individual exclusions for files you know are already in your library.
