Connecting with Roadrunner w/ digital phone?

Hey guys,
I recently got a Macbook for my brother, and also bought the Airport Express. Now Time Warner gave us a new cable modem that has the integrated digital phone with it, but there is only one ethernet port, which goes to my PC. Do I need to buy a router with more ports to make this work? I tried connecting the airport via USB to my cable modem, but it didn't work. The light keeps flashing amber, but it seems that the Mac is reading the signal because when I unplug the airport, the signal goes away. Sorry if this issue has been addressed already, but I don't know how to resolve this. Thanks!

If you need your PC to connect via Ethernet you will need a router with at least one LAN port. The AirPort Express alone can not connect to your cable modem and provide an Ethernet connection to your PC.
You choices are (pick one):
Replace the AirPort Express with an inexpensive 802.11b/g compliant wireless router (typically these have 4 or more LAN ports) or the AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS). These will connect to your cable modem via Ethernet and provide an Ethernet port for your PC.
You would lose the Express' ability to stream music.
Get an inexpensive wired router. Connect your cable modem to this router. Then connect your PC and AirPort Express to the router. Configure the AirPort Express so that the option to distribute IP addresses is DISABLED.
Get an inexpensive 802.11b/g compliant wireless router or the AEBS. Connect the cable modem and PC to the router. Place the AirPort Express near your stereo. Use the directions in KB 302153, AirPort Express: How to join an existing wireless network in client mode to configure the AirPort Express. Now you can stream music to your stereo.

Can't connect with roadrunner

I have an IMac running OSX 10.9.3 and have 3 e-mail accounts with road runner. All 3 require password access and have the same server, ingoing and outgoing. The very odd part is that always one account will be on line, sometimes I can connect 2 accounts, but never all three, it seems if I can get the third account to connect the 2nd account drops out. I do not think the problem is with roadrunner as if I go directly to roadrunner and type in the correct password I connect without any problems. Using the same passwords I used with roadrunner the accounts will not connect. This started yesterday, but had been working flawlessly for many months. I have repeatedly made sure the passwords for each account is correct and the setting for all accounts are correct. Additionally I reac some of a previous discussion of the same topic but understood none of what was said. Thanks in advance for any help recieved. Please answer as you would to someone that knows absolutely nothing about computers. Cheers Sam

Has anyone had issues with the airport extreme 802.11 connecting with a linksys SPA941 phone?

Got the new AirPort Extreme. Trying to connect my Linksys SPA941 phone to it. Mute button flashes so call receiver cannot hear me. Tested wires..All good. Changed modem..All good. Had same issue with Linksys router EA4500 i just traded in. Hoped to fix the issue with Airport. Same issue is occuring.

One more thing. I was using the Linksys WRT54G2 router before. Did not have any issues. It was going bad on me.

Cisco ATA for Use with Time Warner Digital Phone

Is it possible to do the following with any of the Cisco products? Basically I want to have the incoming line from Time Warner go to the PBX to answer calls and then have the PBX route the calls appropriately. I currently have a Linksys PAP2 v2, but I don't think that will work because I think both ports are FXS and I'll need an FXO and an FXS. I have attached a diagram.

So the Linksys PAP2 I have in my diagram, or a Cisco SPA-3102 cannot route inbound calls to the PBX via FXO and then route the call to internal analog phones via the FXS as directed by the PBX given that the PAP2 or SPA-3102 would register to the proxy? I'm really looking to just permit the PBX to talk to the analog stations since I can't get a SIP trunk from the Time Warner modem and with my lack of knowledge on VoIP it seems like the 2901 is over kill. If the router is necessary, then how is it that the PAP2 can connect directly to the internet and link up with Vonage or other similar providers with an analog phone connected to it? The PAP2 is going to communicate with Vonage via SIP and the phone is analog, so there must be some form of encoding going on inside the PAP2, which is what the PVDM does inside the router. So I guess I'm really looking for someone to solidify my understanding of what is needed that the PAP2 or SPA-3102 can't provide. There are a lot of posts on the internet with folks using these devices, but I suspect they are still using a SIP provider as opposed to an analog handoff like Time Warner gives.

My IPhone 4 blue tooth does not connect with other other mobile phones. Other devices find me. Mine just keeps searching.

Tried sending a friend a photo via blue tooth from my IPhone 4 to his black berry.
His device finds me, but mine does't find his. It just keeps searching.

blue tooth in iphone is only for headset support means you can only connect a blue tooth head set with your phone thats about it for blue tooth functionality,

How to use an apple id on an iPad but not have it connect with my phone and mac

I've recently sold my ipad to my younger sisters who are using my apple id. once they are in wifi they are able to use facetime and imessage but it connects with my email and phone number. They are also able to view my pictures in "my photo stream". Is there a way to let them us my apple id but completely disable the id from imessage, facetime, and making sure my photo stream does not show up?

When you created your iCloud account, the @me.com email address you created also automatically became an AppleID, but you used an exisiting AppleID in the first place to create the iCloud account before deciding on that @me.com address. So your iCloud account is actually the AppleID you used to initially create the account, not the @me.com address assigned once the iCloud account was active (look in your account settings on your iPhone or iPad and you can see what the iCloud account primary AppleID is).
Unless you specifically started using your new @me.com address for things, it is an unused AppleID, but it is NOT your iCloud account primary ID (that is whatever AppleID you used to create the iCloud account initially).
An AppleID is nothing more than an email address, but it is linked to an AppleID account held with Apple and thus can be used to log in to services including the various Apple stores.

Wireless connectivity no longer available after TWC adds digital phone service

Hi All,
My problem is that my wireless Internet connectivity is no longer available after Time Warner Cable added digital phone service to my existing TV and broadband Internet service.
Prior to having the digital phone service added, my set up was a Motorola Surfboard cable modem connected to my Linksys WRT54G wireless router, with three computers (two Win XP desktops and one Win 7 laptop) wired to the Linksys router. I had wired Internet connectivity on all three computers. Importantly, I could also access the Internet wirelessly from the laptop instead of using a wire.
AFTER having the digital phone service added, my set up is the same except that now an Arris Touchstone Telephony Gateway (TG862G) has replaced the Motorola Surfboard cable modem. I still have wired Internet connectivity on all three computers. However, now I cannot access the Internet wirelessly from the laptop. This is a real problem in that often others in the house need access to the wireless network as well.
I should also mention that (from a wired connection) I cannot access the Linksys router any longer via 192.168.1.1. Now, the Linksys router seems to be "invisible," almost as though it were a pass-through device. I can access the Arris gateway at 192.168.0.1 (for what it's worth), but not the Linksys router.
Also, not sure this is important, but some time ago (when my wireless was working) I had configured the Linksys router so that it wouldn't broadcast the SSID. Through the Win 7 "Network and Sharing Center" I have tried to "manually connect" to my (hidden) wireless network. The message indicates that my hidden network already exists, but I still can't connect to it.
I've seen a few potential remedies involving power cycling the gateway and modem in certain sequences, setting the gateway's NAT mode to Bridged, etc., but nothing has worked so far. Time Warner Cable's only advice is for me to purchase (yet) another service so that the gateway can provide the wireless access, but I since my Linksys router worked before I'd rather stick with that method (and avoid yet another charge).
I would be very grateful for any help you could provide for this problem.

2. I assume the Arris is also a wireless router. Use inSSIDer to find the best non-overlapping, non-interfering wireless channels. Change the wireless channels on both the WRT54G and Arris if necessary.

All 3 phones are not 1 persons, they have different networks and numbers. The reason I ask is I recently upgraded my i phone and also downloaded the ios6 and it seemed my phone had a funny turn. I would text a contact and she replied but it didnt show on my phone, it showed on my sons who is a completely different number to me and network?
Its now changed and she can reply to me but it also still shows on my sons phone. The only link I can think of is icloud.

Do you have a wi-fi network in your home ? If you do then you should be able to connect your phone to it via Settings > Wi-Fi on your phone - that should show any networks that are available, and tapping on the network that you want to use (and typing in its password if it's password protected) should connect the phone to it. If you don't have a wi-fi network then yes, you will need wifi router in your home, which is connected to the internet (e.g. via your phone line) to be able to back up your phone to iCloud.
