Connection between iPod to tv

Is there by any chance to connect my ipod 5 to my tv. Does the connection from iPod to tv needs Apple TV or a normal tv to connect?

- Via Airplay to an Apple TV.
or one of these cables.

  • Connection between ipod and usb cord and computer or electrical plug

The usb cord that came with my IPOD got damaged and I bought a new one. When i connect my Ipod the screen is frozen and I am not getting a connection. It won't come on and I can hear it trying to connect. When it does flick on it will show the battery lightly lit up with the symbol. Please help.

I also love how no one knows how to fix this because Apple apparently only likes cash in order to help with anything. Thanks Apple for being such a great company and having all of your trust and knowledge with one person. Oh wait, he died. Have fun decoding all of his brilliant knowledge while everyone you graciously market to realizes that other companies are now almost equal rivals and cheaper. I mean honestly. Honestly.

  • No music visible after broken connection between iPod classic and pc

    Hello,
    I have a 4th generation 60 GB iPod classic. Model: A1099
During the connection with the PC, the usb connection was accidentally disconnected , and now music is no longer visible on the ipod
iPod is also not recognized by itunes.
I have tried to reset with no result. I am looking for an installer program to restore to factory defaults.
Can not find the software on the Apple site
Who can help me to find this software, or knows how to solve this program.
    Thanks

Since you are trying to manually manage the iPod's contents (a.k.a. dragging and dropping content onto it) have you double checked to make sure the Manually manage music and videos option is enabled from under the iPod's Summary tab?
If that is not the case, what happens when you try to drag and drop songs onto it?  Any error messages?

  • Lost connection between ipod and laptop

    Hi there,
Not sure if this is a question for ipod or itunes, but here goes.
I recently purchased a 5th gen ipod and installed itunes on my 2 PC's and a PC based laptop. All worked fine.
Now when I connect the USB cable to the laptop, I hear three quick beeps, (not the usual 2 beeps) my ipod starts charging, but I can't see the ipod in itunes.
When I check device manager, there is an entry with a yellow question mark (labelled ipod) which says the driver is not installed. However when I load the itunes CD, the wizard says no drivers found.
My ipod works fine on the 2 other PC's.
I tried system restore but for some reason it fails to go back to any restore points. whether that's part of the problem or a red herring, I haven't a clue.
    Can anyone help?
    Many thanks

  • I lost connection between Ipod and Macbook Pro Notes when I changed OS from Lion to Mountain Lion.

I changed OS X from Lion to Mountain Lion and:
New Mail application has no Notes.
A new Notes application is available.
In my Ipod I am was using Note application that normally was sincronized with Mail Note application. How can do a similar job?
    Devices involved:
    MacBook Pro 13-inch, Mid 2010.
    Ipod Touch, software version 4.2.1

    try this:
open disk utility and verify your disk permissions - if errors are found repair them....
then go to system preferences - network - advanced - look for the dns tab and enter the dns you see on the image below.  after you've done that, restart your macbook and see if your internet pages loads faster.
    good luck.

  • How to connect ratings between iPod and iTunes

Hey I just got an iPod and I want the ratings I set on the pod to update onto my computer. When I connect the iPod I can see the songs on the iPod have the ratings I set when I was using the iPod, but the original songs on the computer aren't updated.
    Any advice?
Or do the ratings only flow one way? Thanks a lot guys,
    Josh

It works for me; i.e. when I set ratings on the iPod, and then I sync the iPod, the ratings in the iTunes Library change to what I set on the iPod.
Maybe it depends on the iPod model?

  • Connection between mac and ipod

Hi I would like to know why, after having tried to connect my ipod 5 o any apple device to my macbook pro retina using splashtop for remote control, despite having istalled the streamer on mac and personal on ipod and connected both in the same wifi, it comes the satellite icon like they are on different network. I also tried joypad connect, to use my ipod as joystick.I have it on both the apple products but my ipod is not found because to work joypad need same wifi. but they are on same wifi!!!! How can I do? I supposed it was a firewall problem, so I turned it off but there is no change. Is it a wifi problem? My modem is a tp-link 150mbps Wireless N ADSL2+Modem router.
    Thanks in advance

    Grazie in anticipo

Your profile says you are using OSX 10.4.11. If you have iOS 4.2 on your iPod you need at least 10.5.8. Also what version of itunes in on your commuter? OSX 10.4.11 can only go as high as version 9.x of iTunes but 10.x is required for iOS 4.2

  • MacBook loses wireless connection when iPod touch connects to network

    hi
ever since upgrading to 10.5.5. on my MacBook i've had the "intermittent network connection" problems that have been described and discussed (without any real solution from what i can see) in another thread.
PROBLEM: every couple of minutes my MacBook loses connectivity to the network - the AirPort icon still says that i'm connected, albeit with one less bar than before, but i can't connect to anywhere, not even to the wireless router - and to re-establish a connection i need to switch off AirPort, switch it back on, it will then reconnect, and after two minutes or so i have to do it all over again because the network connection drops again.
NOVEL OBSERVATION 1: reinstalling the 10.5.5. combo system updater helped somewhat. i used to get an error in system.log about there being too many state transitions on the wireless network and about network traffic reduction measures being taken to overcome this problem, but after reinstalling the 10.5.5. combo system updater this message never appears in the logs and I get kicked off only sometimes (see what i say in point 2 below)
NOVEL OBSERVATION 2: now my MacBook will only lose its connection to the net if i switch on my iPod Touch and switch its wireless interface on. in fact, the only way to avoid the MacBook getting constantly disconnected is to make sure that the wireless interface on the Touch is switched off in the Touch's system preferences; if I just sleep the Touch (top button) without switching off its wireless network interface first in its System Preferences, then the MacBook will keep disconnecting even while the Touch is in sleep mode (presumably the Touch keeps polling the network or something, even while it's in sleep mode).
DIAGNOSTIC NOTE 1: I have another wireless device (my Nokia E51, which has wifi capabilities) and if I connect it to the wireless interface then the MacBook's connection isn't dropped - i.e. the MacBook only loses its wireless connection when my iPod Touch connects to the wireless network.
DIAGNOSTIC NOTE 2: I have upgraded my wireless router (before I had a Linksys WRT-54GC, now I have a Netgear WGR614v9) but that has made no difference.
DIAGNOSTIC NOTE 3: I have also tried altering the router's settings (i have played around a_lot with this, trying every combination I could think of - e.g. staple down particular devices to particular ip addresses, use only 802.11g versus automatic b/g, etc) but that has made no difference either.
    RANT:
The only thing that prevents these disconnections from occurring is to keep the iPod Touch's wireless switched off, which ***** because if I'm in the kitchen I can't have it switched on to monitor my email (yes, I've no life, i hang around waiting for emails), or if I go have a lie down and want to check out stuff on the net, or to browse the iTunes music store or whatever, then I know that my connecting my iPod Touch the computer will be disconnected.
This obviously *****, right? And a lot of people are having wireless problems with their MacBooks, right? And these problems seem to have been around for over a year, right?
So why hasn't Apple solved this problem yet? Or am I just being melodramatic?
Your thoughts on any or all of the above, or flames if that's your preferred method of communicating, are invited. =)
    Cheers
    dr.colekat

Having the same problem here. As a first time mac user, Apple has certainly made a bad first impression.
For me, the issue seems to occur when transferring files between computers that are connected to the same access point (when transferring files from wired computers on the network there is no issue). My vista laptop and every laptop I have tried has worked perfectly fine with this access point so I am 100% convinced it is the mac. Basically when I copy the files, after about 100mb, I am unable to access anything on the local network or internet until I restart Airport. The weird thing is that even though I am unable to access anything, the airport utility says it is connected. I might also note that the wireless signal strength is full.
If I can't get this figured out in a few days, this computer is going back to the store where it came from and I will officially label myself anti-mac. This type of issue is just unacceptable for something so main stream.

  • I can't connect my ipod touch to my itunes. itunes isn't showing it's connected but my computer knows it's there

Hey, i've tried connecting my ipod to my laptop itunes and it's not working. My laptop shows it's connected but itunes isn't showing it's there. i've tired reinstalling, taking itunes off rebooting the laptop and putting it back on. I don't know how to get it working. Plus on top i restarted my ipod and the choice between wifi and connecting to itunes i'm choosing itunes but it's still not showing up. I can use the help for the Windows 7 and ipod touch. Please and Thank you!

    If you tried here:
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
Then try a different computer to help determine if you have a computer or iPod problem.

  • Looking for a particular extension cable to connect an iPod to Roadtrip

    Wondering if this exists...
I've been using a Griffin Roadtrip for months, but I no longer want my iPod mounted on it as I drive. First off, it just rattles too much (I'm nervous about damaging the bottom pieces inside). But most importantly, I've found that I keep removing the iPod from the mount too often as I skip through or search for songs.
I was wondering if anyone knew of an extension cord that connects between the Roadtrip's "dock" and to the iPod itself, allowing me to lay the player on the passenger seat next to me. I guess both ends of the cord would have to end in a "dock" piece.
I realize that I can just buy a new car kit that will allow this (such as DLO's TransDock Micro), but I did spend a hefty sum for the Roadtrip gadget and don't want to abandon it altogether.

No and No. Sell your original iPad and buy the iPad 2 if you want to do Facetime.
It may be a hassle to you to sync them to the computer, but if your iPod and iPad were both stolen while you were out and about you will be glad the music, pictures, etc. are on your computer. And I hope you are regularly backing up your computer.
You can go here to tell Apple you would like these items: http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

  • I'd like to connect my ipod touch (3rd generation) to my ipad2, but I don't see each other through bluetooth. What should I do?

    Hi,
I am trying to connect an iPod touch 3rd (ios 5.1.1) generation to control my KEYNOTE's presentations in my iPad2 (ios 6.1.3). I activated bluetooth in both but they do not see each other. Is there any specific procedure to allow the connection or it is a problem of compatibility between versions of ios?
    I appreciate any input.

iPhone: Go to Settings > General > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth ON.
iPad: Go to Settings > General > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth.
On the iPad running Keynote, open your Keynote presentation.
Tap the Tools icon in the toolbar.
In the Tools menu, tap Settings.
In the Settings menu, tap Remote.
In the Remote Settings menu, turn on Enable Remotes.
On the iPhone, open the Keynote Remote app.
In the iPhone Settings window, tap New Keynote Link.
On the iPad, the name of the iPhone appears in the Remote Settings window; tap Link.
On the iPad, enter the four digit number that is displayed on the iPhone, and then tap Done.
iPhone: Open the Keynote Remote app. You can begin to control your slideshow from your iPhone by tapping Play Slideshow.

  • MY PC WAS REFORMATTED. WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN I CONNECT MY IPOD TO MY PC NOW

    Hi everyone!
My pc was recently formatted, and now I want to add new songs to my iPod. What will happen to the songs in my iPod when i connect it to the newly formatted PC? (not all songs in my iPod are in my PC anymore).
Is there a way I can get all my songs from my iPod to my PC? If there is a way, would the songs remain organized from the iPod to the PC? Coz I am very organized with my iTunes and iPod, every artist, genre, album title is fixed.
Would the PC automatically update my iPod? I know there is a setting in iTunes where I could choose if iTunes updates my iPod automatically or manually, but I can't seem to find it. I'm afraid to connect my iPod now to my PC because this might erase and foul up my songs in my iPod.
    Thanks and please help.
    Chad

If your iPod is set to update automatically you just need to take care when connecting back to your computer and an empty iTunes. If it is set to automatically update you will get a message that your iPod is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press *No*. Pressing "Yes" will irretrievably remove all songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it: Managing Your Songs Manually
You can also use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows hold down the Shift + Ctrl keys (on a Mac hold down the Option and Command (⌥ and ⌘) keys). This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 20 to 30 seconds depending on your computer. Then go to Edit>Preferences>iPod and check the "Manually manage songs and playlists" box.
You can't sync or drag your music back directly from an iPod to iTunes, the transfer of music is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward.
    YamiPod Mac and Windows Versions
    iGadget Windows Only
    iPodCopy Mac and Windows Versions
iPod Access Mac and Windows Versions
    PodUtil Mac and Windows Versions
    iPodCopy Mac and Windows Versions
    PodPlayer Windows Only
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync again. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up in case you have problems again. External drives are comparatively inexpensive these days and you can get loads of storage for quite a small outlay.
