  • Central service registry in PI 7.1 EHP1

    Hi,
Like SLD , i think it is recommended to have one central service registry.
So , we have followed a 2 SLD approach. one for Non prod which resides in DEV PI system and Prod SLD system which resides in Prod PI system.
QA system connects to DEV SLD.
Like wise , how do we change the service registry in QA system to point to Dev system ( Non Prod service registry).
We would like to leave the registry in DEV and Prod to stay local as they serve as Non prod and prod regsitry respectively.
    Thanks,
    Tanuj

    Hi Tanuj,
You can set this up in Netweaver Administrator of QA. Go to SOA Management, then Service Registry Configuration & then specify the Dev server details for the UDDI config.

  • WSPUBLISH to Central Services Registry issue

    Hi Gurus,
I am trying to publish a web service in the ERP6 backend to our central Services Registry (PI 7.1)
when I do this in SOAMANAGER the page hangs (hangs on loading step)
so i try to execute the publish using WSPUBLISH transaction code, and it is successful
but checking on PI SR the service is not published,
so i checked the log of the WSPUBLISH execution, and on this step:
"Physical System was published successfully" i clicked on the display icon and it is showing
    300.SystemName.ERP.SystemNumber.0020600664.SystemHome.<ERP6_HOST>
shouldn't it be that this should show the PI SR server e.g.   100.SystemName.PIX.SystemNumber.0020600664.SystemHome.<PIX_HOST>
where PIX = my PI 7.1 server
I have configured my PI SR as a Central Services Registry from http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/45/c1ea61a1194432e10000000a155369/frameset.htm
I've already looked at Note 1319742
    Kindly advice

    Hi ZM
I had the same problem with my service registry. In Web Visual Composer, i didn't find any service in SR.
    I resolve in two ways.
Configure the service registry in NWDS, there works fine, but i have problem with DC in VC in NWDS.
I use destination WSIL, with this destination i have found all the services

  • Regarding Service Registry classification - PI7.1 EHP1

    Hi,
We are trying to implement the Services Registry classification in PI.So far,we have published the wsdl in SR and have classifed it by going to the Manage tab in the SR and adding the Value Description,Value Code under a Classification system.
As a next step,we have added the UME roles in the Permissions tab.Our requirement is to restrict access to the wsdls based on user names. Is there any way where in we can implement this,i.e,the published wsdls should not be viewed by all users, rather it should be specific to users.
    Kindly advise.
    Thanks and Regards,

    Hi Induja,
You can try this: [Defining Services Registry Permissions|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/2b/3acae817464019aec6a924ee944256/frameset.htm]

  • Question about Local and Central Services Registry

    Hi guru,
We are using CE7.2 and have deployed some BPM DC to it.
After deployment, we can see the web service (we made to start the process) from the local SR.
Now we want to build a central SR on aonther machine (AS Java + SLD + SR) and re-point the previous CE7.2's service reg to this central SR. We did it by running the configuration wizard.
I GUESS after the change, the web service in new BPM DC deployment will be automatically published to the CENTRAL SR, rather than the LOCAL, but it didn't happen, am I wrong ?
I'm wondering what kind of situation will cause automatically registration ?
    Please shed some light
    thanks

    Tim,
They will be fully documented in the 11g XML DB Developer's guide.
The documentation is still covered by the beta NDA, so I can't show it to you.
    I can describe them, though.
They will work through the HTTP server that is part of XML DB, similar to the way that you can currently access data as XML:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/appdev.102/b14259/xdb15dbu.htm#i1025534
Or the way you can call stored procedures through the PL/SQL geteway.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/appdev.102/b14251/adfns_web.htm#ADFNS015
If there is an 11g XE, I expect native web services would work because they don't depend on Java.
They applied for a patent on it:
    http://www.freshpatents.com/Techniques-for-automatically-exposing-as-web-services-procedures-and-functions-stored-in-a-database-dt20060622ptan20060136351.php

  • "Services Registry not configured" popup when trying to search SR

    Dear Fellow VC 7.1 users,
When I try to use the search function on the services registry in VC for CE 7.1 EHP1 SP3, I get the "Services Registry Wizard" popup telling me that "Services Registry not configured." The original configuration was not done by me, so I cannot say whether or not it was done with the configuration wizards, but I can tell you what I have done to try to resolve the problem.
I have: configured the UDDI server; configured the Central Services Registry (ServicesRegistrySi), and ensured that the user the ServicesRegistrySiPort authenticates with has the roles SERVICES_REGISTRY_READ_WRITE and UDDI_TierN. I do not have an SLD configured in my CE 7.1 EhP1 environment, so I tried to follow the steps I found in an SDN how-to PDF doc that explained how to generate an SLD ID from the WSNavigator, but I was unable to do so because as soon as I clicked the "Service Registry" checkbox in WSNavigator, it threw an error message saying, "Cannot connect to Services Registry; check ServicesRegistrySi proxy definition settings."
What am I missing here? Any suggestions (or even hints) would be welcome.
    Thanks,
    Terry Barker

Thank you, Hezi, for your personalized attention. One month, a couple of WebEx sessions with Hezi, and one glacially slow customer message later, the problem is finally resolved!
Here's a recap of the resolution:
    1. Through the WebEx sessions with Hezi, we determined that the problem was in the UDDI server setup, not in Visual Composer.
    2. I Opened a customer message and got hooked up with my new best buddy, Hristo (in SAP Bulgaria?). Hristo logged into our CE 7.1 system using WTS (Windows Terminal Services) Over the course of a couple of weeks and several WTS sessions, Hristo found that the standard, recommended ServicesRegistrySIPort End Point URL did not work in our system (for an unexplained reason). Hristo gave me the following incomprehensible URL to use instead:
http://rnosappis1.igtsap.ad.igt.com:50000/sapws/sap.com/tc%7Eesi%7Euddi%7Esr%7Ews%7Eear_tc%7Eesi%7Euddi%7Esr%7Ews%7Eejbm_EJB_ServicesRegistrySiPort/ServicesRegistrySi/ServicesRegistrySiPort (You can find documents on SDN explaining the configuration of which I speak.)
    3. That got us past the "services registry not configured" error in VC, but a service registry search in VC found no services. In addition, we were now not able to publish any new web services in the registry.
    4. The next problem Hristo found was in the UDDI_DESTINATION and CLASSIFICATION_DESTINATION URLs. Ours were set up to look at SAP's public registry. I set them up according to the how-to documents I found on SDN. That got us past the "can't contact server" message to a new "web proxy authentication" error when trying to publish a service.
    5. The first problem with the publishing was the need to use fully qualified domain names in the WSDL URL. At first I used just "hemxintf-p" but I really needed to use "hemxintf-p.he.ad.igt.com".
    6. The second problem here turned out to be a mistake on my part when setting up the exclude list on the HTTP Proxy setup in NWA. The exclude list tells the system NOT to use the HTTP proxy when contacting certain (presumably internal) domains. I had used commas to separate the domains in the exclude list; as it turns out, you must use the vertical bar character as the separator.
After all this, along with frustration bordering on desparation, I can now publish web services in the SR, browse and test them in WSNavigator, and search for and use them in Visual Composer. I hope that my detailed description of the resolution in my case might save others from suffering similar frustration. Thank you, Hezi. Thank you, Hristo. Thank you, God! I can now get on with my life!
    Cheers,
    Terry

  • How to synchronize PI service registry and IBM WSRR

    Hello All,
In our current project we have developed one web service which resides in SAP CE and is registered in SAP PI Service Registry.
But our client has IBM websphere that acts as a middleware for all ther services (interfaces/web services)

  • Need help with Oracle Service Registry HTTPS configuration

I have installed the Oracle Service Registry on a separate OC4J instance called registry without errors. I have also done the following steps to configure HTTPS given in the user guide.
    1. Delete the file <OC4J_HOME>/j2ee/home/keystore if it exists.
    2. Generate the server identity into <OC4J_HOME>/j2ee/home/keystore using the Java keytool as follows:
keytool -genkey -keyalg RSA -alias oracle -keystore <OC4J_HOME>/j2ee/home/keystore -storepass
    <PASSWORD>
    3. Enabling SSL in the Oracle Application Server Standalone
    4. Copy <OC4J_HOME>/j2ee/home/config/http-web-site.xml to <OC4J_HOME>/j2ee/home/config/secure-website.
    xml.
    5. Edit <OC4J_HOME>/j2ee/home/config/secure-web-site.xml by changing the port and adding the parameter secure="
true" to the <web-site> element; for example:
    <web-site port="4443" ... secure="true">
    6. Add the following element into the into the <web-site> element, use absolute path to keystore file, for example:
    <ssl-config keystore="<OC4J_HOME>/j2ee/home/keystore" keystore-password="<PASSWORD>"/>
    7. Add the path reference to secure-web-site.xml into the file server.xml; for example:
    <web-site path="./secure-web-site.xml" />
    8. You have to change the <web-app> definition for the OracleAS Service Registry n both files, http-web-site and
secure-web-site, so the OracleAS does not create independent instances for each of the websites. Add a
shared="true" attribute to the <web-app> elements for the OracleAS Service Registry application.
After following these steps, I restarted OPMN. I am able to get the Oracle Service Registry console. When I click on the Publish link, it shows the Security Alert Window. After I click on Yes in the security alert window, it just shows "Page cannot be displayed". The same happens for all the secure links such as login. I even tried exporting the certificate through the Security Alert window, but still it does not work. All the HTTP links in the Service Registry console are working and the HTTPS links are all not working. I believe this should be an SSL configuration issue. Please let me know whether I have missed any steps in the security configuration.
    Thanks,
    Sathish

    Any replies to this please?
Has anyone successfully installed and configured the Oracle Service Registry with all the links in the service registry console working fine? Is any one able to publish web services into the oracle service registry?
    Thanks.

  • Creation of Service Registry

    Dear Experts
Im new to web services, i created a web service and i want to configure it in service registry, but i cant find suitable document for creating the service registry, help regarding creation of service registry will be highly appreciable
    Regards
    Arun.P

    Hi Arun,
You don't need to create Services Registry, SAP provides it with AS Java versions 7.1 and later. If you have for example CE 7.1, 7.1.1, 7.2 or PI 7.1 or 7.1.1 in your landscape, you already have Services Registry.
Services Registry is something like yellow pages for Web services - it only contains information about services that have been published. What you can do with it is to publish information about Web services, classify them in categories, and retrieve this information. For more details, see [Services Registry|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/d9/0f7e2c1c644992a195d38cfec1b1f2/frameset.htm].
The configuration of Web services is performed outside of Services Registry. For ABAP Web services you should do this in [SOA Manager|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/b0/787748cf3a4200bb1ba32a62aa8519/frameset.htm], and for Java Web services you should do this in [NetWeaver Administrator|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/44/4d2bb1c6b00597e10000000a155369/frameset.htm].
