Connection - Disconnection problem
Hi,
Registered and installed software of my brand new iPod Nano 4GB.
When connecting to my Pc, battery keeps on charging but screen "Do not disconnect" doesn't disappear from my iPod although iTunes doesn't start.
When disconnecting it from my Pc the following message pops up:
"Windows was unable to save all the data for the file M:. The data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your coéputer hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere."... ok but how?
Strange, I still have an iPod Mini and Shuffle and both keep on working without a problem!

Ipod keeps connecting & disconnecting
whenever i connect my ipod 2 my computer it keeps connecting & disconnecting over & over again. what is wrong?
I solved the constant connection/disconnection problem on my 4G iPod Nano by buying a Belkins 5 port PCI USB Card Model FSU220 and connecting my iPod to this card rather than the on board USB. The Belkins card uses a NEC USB controller chip. I believe the constant connection/disconnection problem is caused when a VIA Chip is used as the USB Controller. If you are having this problem you probably have a VIA USB controller.
Although other cards with other controllers might solve the problem I bought this one because it was available locally (about $35.00 at Staples) and it is Mac and Windows compatible.
I tried restarting the computer, re-installing iTunes, connecting to a different USB plug, and returning the iPod for another and nothing worked. Installing the card solved the problem for me.
Interesting to note that my previous ipod classic worked on the computer's built-in USB plugs without any problems. Also interesting is that I could keep the iPod connected to the computer and transfer files to the iPod (not music files) as long as iTunes was not running. -
I have an iPod 4th gen that up until the week before was connecting and charging fine on my desktop computer (running Windows 7(64-bit)). Now, when connected to the USB ports on my desktop, it goes into this rapid and unending connect/disconnect loop, never staying connected long enough to even be recognized by the computer. There is an error message that also says that charging is not supported by the computer, when before, things were fine. Despite all the problems on the desktop, the iPod is recognized fine by my 5 year old laptop, which is running a simplified version Windows XP. Halp. I've tried everything on the iPod support pages regarding this issue, and would really like to avoid calling Apple about this. Any suggestions?

FXO to FXO disconnect problem - Part1
Hi,
I have 2 sites connected through an hdlc leased line. Each site has router 1750 with one VIC - 2FXO.
Once a call is placed both FXO are stuck in the off hook state. So there is no way to make another call unless I shut down and turn on the ViC again.
I read the "famous" fxo disconnect problem file from Cisco but it didn't help.
I need to know:
1) Is this problem a bug on the FXO ports ?
2) Is this problem from the analog PBX side ?
3) How to solve this problem?

Problem is in disconnect reason....FXO card no detect disconnect tone from PBX....

Bluetooth connection - Keeps connecting / disconnecting in car.
Hi,
I've recently got a Z2 phone and i love it all apart from when I get in my car.
It connects, disconnect, connects, disconnnect, and so on and so on for as long as Im driving.
I've done all I can think of.
Reset the phone, unpair the devices etc.
does anyone have any idea? is this a known issue?I guess nobody has this issue?
The car is a 2014 Vauxhall Insignia
I've had the garage look into it but they have no problem getting other phones to connect to the vehicle, even my old Nokia 920 works fine. -
Dial-up connection disconnects when importing CDs into iTunes
When importing a CD, my dial-up Internet connection disconnects after each song has finished importing. The importing doesn't seem to be affected, but I keep having to reconnect. This is very annoying!
Has anyone else had this problem, and how can I fix it?This is also a known phenomenon on Macs with a dial-up connection.
For Macs there is a workaround, but no solution yet.
By using an Applescript, the firewall settings will be toggled on CD insert, preventing iTunes to contact Gracenote (to get track information).
I don't know something similar for Windows.
Maybe you can write some code yourself.
The URL to block (temporary) is "http://service.gracenote.com"
You can always get the track information later by selecting all tracks of an imported CD and choosing 'Get CD Track Names' from the Advanced menu in iTunes.

Disconnect problems on FXO Groundstart lines
Hello all,
I have a CCME customer, IOS 12.3-11T2. with 6 FXO ground-start lines on a 2821 platform. They are using PVDM2-32s and two 4Port FXO cards. The call flow goes as follows.
Incoming call from PSTN, hits fxo port which has a connection plar to a number which calls a script in CUE. From the script if you press 0 it calls the reception.
All the above works fine.
If the reception hangs up the call and the PSTN party does not right away, the PSTN party hears a repeating click. If the PSTN then hangs up and you do a show voice port summary it shows as follows

Note that the OPER stat shows up and the out status shows on-hook
Until that OPER status changes to DORM every call after the first one will get answered by this port and the PSTN party will hear the repeating click in their ear. It takes up to 30-40 seconds for the call to clear.
If the PSTN party hangs up first the OPER stat will go to DORM almost immediately.
Any thoughts?
Ryanuse the following commands to shorten the time the router waits before determining that the call needs to be dropped due to disconnect tones.
on the voice port
voice-port 1/1/0
timeouts call-disconnect 5
timeouts wait-release 5
these will shorten the IOS default times of 30 sec & 60 sec down to 5 seconds.

we have 2801 router that connected with 2 anloga lines (FXO Card), but now we have a problem with disconnect problem, the phone still connected after the PSTN Caller Disconnect, and our policy tell that the agents shouldn't end the call, so we want when the PSTN caller end the call we need the phone to return to idle state.
and according for the below link, i configure the custom disconnect tone, and in the attachment you can find tow disconnect tones.

N96 Bluetooth connects/disconnects continuously
Hi guys having trouble with my new N96 that I got on Saturday, great phone but am now having a bit of a problem.
I have a Parrot CK3100 car kit installed in the car which has worked fine up untill now with all my phones that have been a good mix everything from a 6230 to a S.E. C902
I tried connecting my N96 today and it connects stays connected for a few seconds then disconnects then connects again automatically then disconnects again over and over again...! Frustration!
Anybody have any ideas as to what the solution for this may be?
Also I noticed while it was connected it didn't transfer contacts automatically... will this be like all the other N series phones and not do the contacts sync with the Parrot. Bit disappointed now as I love my Parrot!

Exactly the same for me. Connects and disconnects.
But I can help you.
For syncing your address book just go to your contacts, mark all.Then collect as a business card and send to you parrot via bluetooth. That stores them as they are now. When you add more contacts you will have to repeat the process.
As for the connecting disconnecting I have a very clumsy fix.
Turn on your parrot and let it connect to N96. Then ( believe me on this ! ) plug in your stereo headphones and leave them in for about a minute. Unplug them and you n96 will stay connected to your parrot.
Don't ask me how I worked it out.
This leads me to believe that there is a profile activated by the headset that we need to find and activate as default for the car kit. I've looked but not sorted it yet.

I have been a loyal Linksys (CISCO) user since buying my 1st Wireless Access Point router/4-port Switch (BEFW1154 v2) in 08/2002. I upgraded to a Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router (WRT54G v8.00.2) in 11/2007. My home wireless network supports; IBM Thinkpad (Windows XP) and Lenovo Ideapad (Windows VISTA Home Premium). About a month ago I started having disconnect issues with the WRT54G. Both laptops experienced the disconnects. Initially, I unplugged the WRT54G power for about 1 minute then plugged it back in. This did not resolve the disconnect problem. I then tried to unplug the cable modem and WRT54G power. Wait about 1 minute then plug in the cable modem allowing it to reset and sync up. Then I plugged in the WRT54G. This temporarily resolved the problem for a few minutes but the disconnect problem returned eventually. I reset the WRT54G to the factory default configuration and reconfigured it for my home network. The disconnect problem was not resolved by taking this action. I contacted Cablevision who provides my broadband Internet access. They could not identify a root cause for the disconnect problem. To determine if the root cause was something other than the WRT54G, I reinstalled the BEFW1154. I have not had a disconnect problem since taking this action leading me to believe that the WRT54G is bad. I would appreciate any suggestions that might resolve the disconnect problem except for a suggestion to purchase a new router. THANKS

Go to Solution.I too have had the disconnect problem. I am thinking now that my problem started when I moved the Router next to the printer. I think when the printer is on my router disconnects. I have the printer off this morning and have no problems. Last night the printer was on and both my wife's and my Pc's would lose connection to the router until I unplugged it and plugged it back in.
Is it possible for a printer to throw off the connection? I know my cell phone causes a lot of noise in the speakers if I have it next to the PC. -
PBG4 v92 modem connect-disconnect
Don't usually have to use dial-up connections, but I needed one today. First time, it worked as usual.
But everytime after (2nd thru 6th attempts) the connect script would scroll in the header, and scroll, then go into an attempted disconnect, except it would never never never complete the disconnect. I'd have to reboot to terminate the endless disconnect ribbon.
The only issue I can think of was while trying to clean up Entourage (while being off-line), I got the spinning beach ball of death.
What could be the connection between Entourage 10.1.1 & 10.3.8 that would render the modem incapable of connecting-disconnecting properly??
I tried repairing permissions/priviledges, but there was nothing reported as needing fixing.
OK, go figure! I'm editing this post using the dial up & internal modem. Connected just fine. Guess I'll have to wait for another "odd-ball" incident.Similar problems here, but my 'book dials, runs through the various sounds, then repeats them never making the final connection. This problem manifested about 4 months ago. At first, it began losing connections more frequently, then having difficulty making the initial connection on the first try, and now it won't connect at all. The error I get in the connection log window is : "Connection Script Failed." I never get the beach ball.
Solutions I've tried: Rebooting, rebuilding permissions, adjusting the modem script to connect at all available speeds (v.34, etc.), using modem scripts from 10.2.8, doing a clean install of 10.3.3. None have produced any results.
The phone lines in my area are not great. However, I was able to sucessfully connect on said lines for 2 years previously, so I doubt that's the issue. My wife connects, using the same cable on her PC laptop, with no problem. -
I have Linksys router wired to a desktop and a laptop that connects wirelessly. Recently, the WZC was stopped somehow and I turned it back on. This didn't resolve the problem. My laptop will show connected and then disconnected on the EasyLink Advisor Status screen. This connect-disconnect-reconnect is continuous about every two to three minutes. The wired desktop has no problems. Any ideas?

Okay. So I didnt resolve the issue. What i learned is that if I close the internet connection, i.e., close email or and PC restart, I have no WZC. From hte command line I start the WZC and then, in the properties of hte wireless connection I have to check "Use Windows to configure my networks" or something like that.
Why do I now have to perform this each time the PC or internet connections are closed?
Also, when I try to view networks in area I get hte warning that WZC isn;t running and maybe a third party set up is running.
Any ideas what I have done to mess this up? Thanks in advance for your(anyone's) help.

ThinkVantage Access Connection disconnects
ThinkVantage Access Connection disconnects from the Network after resuming from Sleep or Hibernate. The only way to reconnect to the Network is to reboot. OS is Vista Home Premium installed on Lenovo notebook 3000 N100. This problem just recently began. Have not made any changes that could have possibly caused this problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Connecting & Disconnecting Bluetooth Hangs Lumia92...
I've begun to notice that when my Lumia920 connects & disconnects multiple times with my vehicle's Bluetooth, the phone hangs & requires a restart. (It happens when I have to make multiple stops while grocery shopping)
This was not the case when I was using my simple NokiaC300. There was no problems doing the exact same tasks.
Any suggestions?CanadaLumia920, sounds a like a bug. You should report this to the head-unit manafucturer of your car. He is able to debug this because he has your head-unit. Nokia or Microsoft might not have your head-unit. Then, your manufacturer tests your device and with his professional tools is able to debug this. Then, your manufacturer is able to determine if it is his bug, a Nokia bug or one of Microsoft (because of Windows Phone). Then, your manufacturer is able to file a qualified bug report to the one causing this. And if you have luck, it will get fixed through an software update.
The bottom line of this story: You cannot do much. Bugs happen. Rather go back to your old mobile phone. Some network operators offer to buy an additional SIM with the same number, so you can use your old and new phone in parallel.
