Connection Failed, Native Error
A staff member is receiving a Publishing Failed message:
Connection Failed. Please check connection and post again. Native
Error: Cannot accept uploading file. Further processing is stopped.
He is using RH6. Some of the language used in the project is
portugeise. I am wondering if this might be the problem if certain
characters are used in conjunction with the language. Any
familiarity with this error message?
They are using RH 6 and server 6. They have setup the
permissions correctly. They also ran a test project, which did
publish successfully, but when they try to publish the original
project, publishing fails with the message: Native Error: Cannot
accept uploading file. Further processing is stopped.

I have installed the Firefox 4.0 Beta 11 (+updates), I try to connect to our https: website and I receive the following error:
Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection.
Renegotiation is not allowed on this SSL socket.
(Error code: ssl_error_renegotiation_not_allowed)
I have installed this certificate on Firefox 3.6.13 and I am able to connect to our HTTPS site but it will not work with the Beta 4.0 11I read about this for ages. I had problems setting up a certificate for my online banking. This one solution genuinely worked for me (finally!) ...Fingers crossed it will for you too:
1) In the address bar type in '''about:config''' ...Firefox will say it's dangerous, but I just went ahead anyway lol - It's fine. Thank god there's always an edit-undo!
2) Copy and paste this into the ''filter'' at the top: '''security.ssl.allow_unrestricted_renego_everywhere'''
3) Then change ''false'' to ''true'' (I think I just clicked it, and it changed)
That's it! Refresh your bank page, and it should work!

Connection failed: 18456 error
When one of my users creates an ODBC connection to a SQL database using Windows authentication, he gets this error:
Connection failed: SQLState: '28000' SQL Server Error: 18456
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Login failed for user
'Domain\username'
The thing is, the 'Domain\username' is not his username and I have no idea where or why it is trying to use that username.
Ideas?Hi Mike,
If I read your post correctly, your intention is to use Windows auth, correct? If so, then make sure that you use the "Trusted_Connection=Yes" connection string attibute and remote the username and password attibutes. This will make SQL Server authenticate you based on the credentials under which your client application is running.
Further information regarding the 18456 error can be found here: http://blogs.msdn.com/sql_protocols/archive/2006/02/21/536201.aspx

Hey guys,
I was using the internet on my ethernet, when all of a sudden it stopped working. I tried unplugging and replugging and yet, nothing. I turn on Airport, it locates my wireless connection, so I click on it and it says "Connection Failed".
I try again, this time it asks for me WEP password. I input it, but yet again it says "Connection Failed". And now I can't figure out how to run it again.
Just a bit about my setup:
I have a Motorola Wireless modem given my Testra (ISP).. which goes on to a D Link Router that splits into 4 rooms in my house. I can use the Wireless from the Motorola and the ethernet from the D Link. Now suddenly, at the same time, both have stopped working for me. However, if I connect my ethernet wire directly with my Motorola, it works fine. But I can't use Motorola's Wireless because even though Airport can locate the network, when I select it it asks for the WEP password, and when I submit it says Connection Failed.
I hope that made sense. I was wondering if anyone has faced similar problems and knows what to do? I spoke to tech support and they said it had something to do with the encryption of WEP which is apparently not compatible with mac? But that doesn't explain why my modem worked fine for 6-7 months I've had it.
Would appreciate any answers.
Thanks guysHowdy
This just happened to me today- I have a two year old AEBS that was working fine with 2 Powerbooks, a Mac Mini, a MacBook, and an iPhone until today....I can see from the iPhone that the signal is extremely low, but it is there, and yet I cannot log in from any computer...I am going to try disabling the WEP to see if it makesa difference but I may have to bite the bullet and get a new AP...my whole family is screaming at me.... god forbid they can't get on the internet for a few hours
In any case, love to hear any suggestions..
Thanks! -
Datasource connection failing with error "Cannot open resource"
Hi All,
I have created a datsource in VA with JDBC 1.X driver type for a SQL Server.
However, now when I try to connect to the datasource from an udf in the Message Mapping, I am getting the below error:
Error: com.sap.engine.services.dbpool.exceptions.BaseSQLException: ResourceException in method ConnectionFactoryImpl.getConnection(): com.sap.engine.services.connector.exceptions.BaseResourceException: Cannot open resource(Managed Connection) with LocalTransaction support or add a second one in the same transaction, for component "webContainer/applications/sap.com/TestDB/TestDB" in application "sap.com/TestDB"
I checked the SAP Help link given below where it is mentioned as a solution that the datasource should be made shareable.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/5c/2f2c4142aef623e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
In SAP Help, it mentions that datasource can be made shareable by modifying the deployment descriptor as mentioned in the link below. However, the datasource was configured in the VA and not deployed using archive. Hence, we do not have a deployment descriptor to modify and redeploy.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/e8/47591ac2e843d09a374e88b044bda9/frameset.htm
Could you please provide pointers on how configure and make the datasource shareable.
Thanks & Regards,
Rosie Sasidharan.Hi Rosie ,
This information is really really helpful for me . I was trying to solve this problem from last 4 days. Today i am able to solve just because of reference given by you.
Once again thank you very much -

My website was migrated to a new cloud server last week and after the move visitors to my site using Firefox have been intermittently receiving the following error when visiting a https:// url.
Secure Connection Failed
An error occurred during a connection to www.url.com
SSL peer rejected a handshake message for unacceptable content. (Error code: ssl_error_illegal_parameter_alert)
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem. Alternatively, use the command found in the help menu to report this broken site.
Upon a few refreshes the page may load again but often very slowly and often not all images will load.
The web hosts have tried many things, have had cpanel techs check the server and even set up a new ssl certificate to try and resolve the problem with no luck.
Researching the internet shows that people have faced this issue when upgrading Firefox or with certain AntiVirus software conflicts.
However I can't tell all FF visitors to start altering their config files in order to be able to visit my site.
I don't understand how I didn't have this issue prior to the migration but now something has changed that no one knows how to resolve.
For reference: I am using FF 28.0 and I am not experiencing this SSL error on any other site other than my own since the migration.
Does anyone have any information on what the web host may be able to do to fix this SSL issue that only occurs for FireFox users?
Thank you for any suggestions you may be able to offer.Still experiencing this problem and hoping someone may have some ideas to try on the server.

I have been a long time Firefox user and this is the first time I am truly baffled. Now if I try to log into gmail or any google account on my main PC I just get an error message as below.

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.

I have tried reinstalling, clearing cache, clearing cookies, and just about every other thing I can think of but to no avail. I can access through IE and also via firefox on my other PCs but no joy on my main PC. Please help as this one is stumping me.
Many thanks for your help.Sorry I forgot to add my system is Win 7 64 home premium

I've updated to FF26 and get the follow error message "Secure Connection Failed" why is that?
ever since I've updated to FF26 some of the sites won't come up and show the following error message:
Secure Connection Failed
An error occurred during a connection to www.facebook.com. SSL peer rejected a handshake message for unacceptable content. (Error code: ssl_error_illegal_parameter_alert)
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem. Alternatively, use the command found in the help menu to report this broken site.
it does not happens all the time but most of the times.
this also occurs on google.com, twitter.com and many more.
what to do?Do you have the option to turn off the feature of Kaspersky scanning your SSL traffic? Usually that can be turned off (e.g., in ESET and BitDefender).

Hello
I'm having troulbes accessing HP iLO with FF 36.0 on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, getting the following error message:
====================================
Secure Connection Failed
An error occurred during a connection to 172.25.X.X. Issuer certificate is invalid. (Error code: sec_error_ca_cert_invalid)
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.
====================================
It seems to work with other browser such as Chromium, so the problem seems to be FF 36.0. Unfortunately, I don't have an "Add exception" button in FF that would allow me to bypass this warning.
I've already followed the following links:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/secure-connection-failed-error-message
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-extensions-themes-to-fix-problems
But I didn't managed to get it work. Any idea how to get it fixed?I have a better answer, upgrade to version 37 via bug 1138332

I need to get on this website, which only allows Firefox and Safari for Mac OSX, but since I upgraded to the latest Firefox update, this is the message I get:
Secure Connection Failed
An error occurred during a connection to teleserve.dlt.ri.gov.
Peer's certificate has an invalid signature.
(Error code: sec_error_bad_signature)
Help! The site doesn't seem to be sending the correct intermediate certificate.
You can install this VeriSign intermediate certificate that works for me.

Dear Apple Support Community!
I installed Mavericks OS X on my iMac immediately after it was released. I was soon starting to experience trouble with logging in to Mail and App Store. After contacting Apple Support and trying various tips and tricks to no avail, like re-installing Mavericks for instance, I just decided to wait for an update of the OS X to see if that would solve my problems. Unfortunately, that didn't help either.
I therefore turn to the Apple Support Communities in hope of expert help that will solve my problems.
Here are the actions that result in error messages:
Mail > Choose a mail account to add > Google > Continue > Name/Email Address/Password > Set Up > A connection error occurred.
App Store > Sign In > Apple ID/Password > Sign In > Connection failed.
I have three accounts on my computer:
System Administrator, Guest Account and Other.
I use the “Other” account as my regular account. When I log in to the System Administrator or Guest Account I don’t experience any problems; Mail and App Store work as they should.
Booting in safe mode does not solve the problem:
I disconnected all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and removed all aftermarket expansion cards. I booted in safe mode and logged in to the account with the problem.
I tested the said actions while in safe mode. The problems were the same.
After testing, I rebooted as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verified that I still had the problems.
Info about my Mac:

Processor 2,8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory 4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

But fortunately, I have been able to solve many of them after a lot of trial & error, frustration and sweat! I now long for the more than 2 years of previous Snow Leopard usage when problems were small, few and far between, and quickly solvable. I feel as if Apple has cut me adrift and left me to struggle on my own with the seemingly numerous problems of getting the performance of Mavericks to finally stabilize on my iMac.
Øystein's Feb. 8th post asks some of the same Mavericks questions that I still have. It would be very helpful to me, and to others I'm sure, if someone/anyone has specific suggestions or solutions on what one could/should do to fix specific problems with newly installed Mavericks OSs, short of a clean, full re-install of the OS.
I have one admin account plus the guest account on my iMac Mavericks. Does this mean my admin account is a/the root account?! How can one tell whether or not they are logging in with a root account?! What's the distinction between the root account, a user's admin account, and other standard users' accounts?! Could someone please recommend a definitive Apple document describing all the various types of Mavericks accounts, in detail, and how/when/where/why each type should be used before or along with any of the others?
Why is it suddenly a no-no to log on to Mavericks via the root user account, when previous OS versions had no problem with this?! What's the purpose of the root user account if not to use it to log on to the computer?! If it's so dangerous, why isn't it internally safeguarded from inadvertent logins by casual users?! What damage or harm are we talking about, and why weren't personal-use customers given a big warning about this apparent "booby trap" in Mavericks?! Saying NEVER DO THAT is like closing the barn door after the horse has already bolted, and it explains nothing to the casual user.
We can't just do a clean re-install every time something in Mavericks hiccups?! Based on my recent experience, and on what I'm seeing in this thread, I would have had to re-installed it a half dozen times in the past 2 months alone!! That's nonsensical. There's got to be a better way of fixing a newly installed Mavericks OS than doing a re-install over and over again. Why don't the Mac diagnostic and troubleshooting tools work in Mavericks' case, as they have done for me on many occasions on earlier OS versions?! What is it about Mavericks that makes it different this time?! Could it possibly have something to do with integration of Mavericks and iCloud; and, if so, what specific cautions should the casual user observe to make sure they don't jeopardize the integrity of Mavericks by doing something similar to logging in from the root account?!
Many customers need to be brought in out of the dark! Is there an Apple Mavericks expert out there who can advise the customer community on specifically how to apply the existing repair tools to solve specific Mavericks teething problems, without having to revert to multiple OS re-installs?
