"Connection Failed" un-movable layer on System Setting screen

Hi, I got a new BBQ5 yesterday and tried to explore the BB10 OS. I was initially able to set up my wifi connection successfully and was exploring the new OS. All of sudden due to power failure , the wifi device stopped working. Then i noticed while doing wifi setting - It tried connecting to wifi (attemp 1/3) and so on and it had then shown up a from "Connection Failed" with NO BUTTONS (or any information). Eversince then i tried to close the dialog box layer but was in vain.Every time i tried to open setting - it came with the dialog box with no further instuction. This scenario is quite reproducible. and finally i restarted the device and then the dialog box went away. So here is the problem statement - If with / without wifi signals user try to connect wifi (after few try) and un-movable "Connection Failed (with NO Buttons/Instructions) means a blank dialog box with header as Connection failed on setting screen. - Only restarting the device is the only solution to that. Thanks for your patience! regards, Paresh Padhi

Hey pareshpadhi,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Thanks for the question.
Can you provide the version of BlackBerry 10 software you're running?  Go to Settings>About to find this information.  I will investigate this further.
Also when you restart the BlackBerry Q5 and leave a Wi-Fi network does the same issue happen?
I look forward to your reply.
Cheers.

  • In Firefox version 37.0 getting Secure Connection Failed config parameter version.fallback-limit set to 3. Does this support TLS 1.0 .

In FF 37.0 getting secure connection failed connecting to a website. Works fine in previous version. Config parameter version.fallback-limit default setting is 3. In previous version the default setting was 1. Does the setting version.fallback-limit to 3 mean only TLS1.2 is supported. Any help is appreciated.
    Secure Connection Failed
The connection to xxxx.xxx.com was interrupted while the page was loading.
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.
    Thx,

The website may try to fallback to TLS 1.0 in a way that is no longer allowed in current releases or may be using a deprecated cipher suite.
You can open the <b>about:config</b> page via the location/address bar and use its search bar to locate this pref:
    *security.tls.insecure_fallback_hosts
You can double-click the line to modify the pref and add the domain (full domain) to this pref.
If there are already websites (domains) in this list then add a comma and the new domain (no spaces).
You should only see domains separated by a comma in the value column.

  • Connection to SAP R/3 dedicated system failed....

    Hi friends,
I have to read materials from r/3 for which i will have to define an r/3 system in EP , so taht i can use it in VC and access BAPI's as webservices. However my attempts to connect to an r/3 system are failing.
this is the blog that i used to create a System fot r/3 in EP.
    <a href="http://help.sap.com/bp_epv260/EP_EN/documentation/EP/N03_BB_InstallGuide_EN_US.doc#_Ref59851215">http://help.sap.com/bp_epv260/EP_EN/documentation/EP/N03_BB_InstallGuide_EN_US.doc#_Ref59851215</a>
when i test connection in EP it says
    Results
    <b>Retrieval of default alias successful
Connection failed. Make sure user mapping is set correctly and all connection properties are correct.</b>
Please let me know what might be the issues.

  • Test Connection fails for VC system of type Web Service

    Hi All
I ve created a VC system of the type Web Service in Portal. In this VC system, I have given Url of the Enterprise Service that I want to use in VC.
    (for eg: http://erp.esworkplace.sap.com/sap/bc/srt/wsdl/sdef_ECC_SALESORDER002QR/wsdl11/ws_policy/document?sap-client=800)
In the next step, I did user mapping for the VC user that will be consuming this Enterprise Service.
The system was created successfully but when I did ‘Connection Tests’ , I got the following exception:
    “Test Details:
The test consists of the following steps:
    1. Retrieve the default alias of the system
    2. Check the connection to the backend application using the connector defined in this system object
    Results
    Retrieval of default alias successful
Connection failed. Make sure that Single Sign-On is configured correctly”
Do I need to do any more configurations before I can use such ES portal system in my VC work studio ?
I understand that I have provided little information about the exception thrown by Portal.
I kindly request you to feel free in asking any other details about the same.
    Regards
    Kapil S Kamble

    Hi Natty
    thanks for your immediate reply.
I followed your instructions and created iView of the type URL and set the fetch mode property to 'server side' as told.
Initially, I gave 'http://www.sap.com' as the Url and I was successful in opening the site.
Later, when I gave Enterprise Service url and tried to preview the iView, I got the following exception:
    Error # 401'*
I ll need to give username and password. But how do i give them as parameters?
Please note, these parameteres are appended to the Url. So, I fear that if url of Enterprise service is changed, then it wont open.
    what do you think ?

  • System Landscape New system connection fails

    Hi,
I've configured SSO between ECC6 (ABAP stack) and Portal EP7 (AS Java Stack) and now when I test the new System Landscape Object connector it fails with the following message.
"Connection failed. Make sure user mapping is set correctly and all connection properties are correct."
All the SSO settings look to be OK in the Visual Admin and in STRUSTSSO2, SSO2 they are all green. The test for the Connector and the JCO connections is failing. The JCO ping tests fine and I'm able to log into the portal and see the UME and ABAP users in identity management. I've opened an oss message for this but have not had a reply as of yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Jim V

    Hi James,
Thank you for replying. The connector or Connection is the one that is failing. I used the correct template for creating the system (SAP ABAP Stack) backend connection. The SAP_HR_MasterData (JCO) connection fails as a result but the ping test tests fine. I've gone thru the UME and Landscape (Connector) configuration about 10 times making sure it is correct. I called to escalate the OSS message but still no reply.
    Thanks,
    Jim V

  • Connection test for connectors(SAP R3 system) fail

    Hi,
I got an EP system and connected to one existing R/3 system. For the same i have defined it in system landscape of EP.System administration ---> system configuration ---> system landscape. In property editor i have deined all the min required properties.
    Application Host       172.16.3.68
    Gateway Host            172.16.3.68
    Gateway Service        sapgw00
    Logical System Name    ISCCLNT100
    Remote Host Type       3
    SAP Client            100
    SAP System ID (SID)    ISC
    SAP System Number      00
    Server Port            3200
    System Type            SAP_R3
    Trace Mode             1
The system intially works fine. But when
1)There are more users it gives connection error.
2)If there are not much users then also After some time it automatically shows connection error.
Then when I do Connection Test for Connectors,it shows "X" failed.
What I usally try to do,I restart the SQL server.
But this method does not work.I have to restart the EP.Then again the system works fine.
I think there are something wrong input in the property value of SAP R3 object setting.
Hey folks can u please help me in sorting out this problem? Why such connection error happens again and again?

    Hi Rajeev,
Thanks for your answer.Actaully I have miss interpreted the problem.Sorry Problem is not with in the SAP R3.
    Connection problem is like this::
I have defined a system EPSQL(system alias for MS SQL sever DB)  for my EP instance
    To connect to database.
The connection tests to the alias is ok.
But as more and more users try connecting to the db the connection test fails.
Restarting the SQL server doesn’t help.
I have to restart the EP instance to get over the problem
I think there are something wrong input in the property value of object setting.or,EP maintains some timeout or max user info...
    Do u have any solution?

  • SSO- Connection failed. Make sure user mapping is set correctly and all....

    Hi All...
I configured SSO Between EP6.0 and BW 3.5...By following this tutorial:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/84/30984076b84063e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
every thing is working fine...  when i trying to check the preview for an iveiw (it is invoking BEx in the BW
System) it is again asking BW System username & Password. I already done user mapping between the
portal user with the BW user.
After i reviewd my entire work i got one problem at:
System Administration --> System configuration --> Portal content --> opened my created system object ->
Selected Connection Tests --> Select Connection test for Connectors --> Click on Test Button --> Here i
got the following error :  Retrieval of default alias successful
Connection failed. Make sure user mapping is set correctly and all connection parameters are correct.
I checked the usermapping area and connector Parameters those all are correct according to the document.
I was stuck at this place from 4 days please advice me what are the causes for this error
    Best Regards
    Abhi...

Have you tested the SSO setting by running the program "RSPOR_SETUP"?
Yes Rajesh I tested by running the program RSPOR_SETUP in BW System.
It is saying connection is success to communicate with RFC Server.
The problem is comming from the portal side when i test connector properties for System object.
But it is saying WEB AS Connection properties are success for System object.
The exact Error Message is :
Connection failed. Make sure user mapping is set correctly and all connection properties are correct.
    Best Regards

  • How do I set the "When an OCSP server connection fails, treat the certificate as invalid" in Firefox for Android?

Due to the security concerns from Heartbleed and Steve Gibson's excellent coverage on certification revocation, I have set "When an OCSP server connection fails, treat the certificate as invalid" on my desktop Firefox and now want to do the same on Firefox for Android. I cannot find anything in the settings menu to allow this. Is it done through about:config and if so, what is the setting name there?

hello mcvickerp, in about:config you can switch the setting "security.OCSP.require" to true.

  • Connection Failed: AFP System Failure

All of a sudden, I cannot connect to another computer from my MacBook Pro (intel 2.16 ghz Core Duo) through a wireless network. I always click on the nework icon, pick the computer, enter the password but now I get the "Connection failed: AFP system error has occurred". I haven't changed anything lately (that I know of) and am updated completely according to software update.
I can connect to the laptop, connect from the laptop to the internet and ping another computer without difficulty.
Can anyone suggest what to do to correct this?
    Thanks

At this point I think you should get Applejack...
    http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/19596
After installing, reboot holding down CMD+s, then when the prompt shows, type in...
    applejack AUTO
Then let it do all 5 of it's things.
At least it'll eliminate some questions if it doesn't fix it.
If that doesn't cure it, then try Connect To Server and put in afp://ip.of.some.mac

  • After setting up bluetooth with my car , nano connection fails

followed instructions to pair and connect, stereo says connected , nano says failed

Same problem? My partner bought the latest iPod nano, tried to pair it with the car stereo in her MINI. The stereo recognised the iPod, said it was successfully paired with it, but the iPod says the connection failed. I cannot find anywhere that confirms whether the MINI (2011 model) has bluetooth that supports A2DP. If anyone knows for sure, I'd appreciate knowing.

  • "connection failed" mac app store

When attempting to purchase/download apps from my Macbook w/Lion OS using App Store I am asked to log in where I get "Connection failed." message.  Also I cannot sign in to my account from the App Store.  I can access everything else on the internet and even log in to apple.com. Everything was fine up until a few days ago when I upgraded to Lion.
    How can I fix this?

This is a bug in Lion 10.7.4 and to get more info look at this post:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/18353267#18353267
I have tried what I posted above and it got rid of the AppStore issue for me, but there may be other issues that are related to certificates:
I had many error messages saying invalid certificate on websites like hotmail and others since updating to Lion 10.4.7
Also my bank site and others gave same error while before it never did so!
Come on, Apple solve the bug in Lion without forcing us to buy Mountain Lion because of a bug!!
Here is the message that solves the issues so far from above thread:

Re: Invalid Certificate on every secured website
Jun 9, 2012 4:40 PM (in response to quickSti)
Thank you quickSti! This finally solved the problem for me.
    quickSti wrote:
I solved this on my wife's computer by resetting the security certificate settings.  This might help others:
    Close all windows.
Keychain Access ->  click on System Roots on the left, and then click on Certifcates on the bottom left.
Check to see if any of the certificates on the right have the blue "+" symbol - this means they have custom trust settings.
There is a bug in changing the policies, so you'll have to change them via the method below.  Changing them just by changing the access to "system defaults" doesn't seem to save.  The method below worked for me.
Double-click on each certificate with the custom setting (blue "+"), expand the section labled "trust".  Change the "Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)" setting to "no value specified".  Close window - you should be prompted for the password.  Double-click on the certificate again, expand trust, change the "When using this certificate" setting to "Use System Defaults".  Close window, and re-enter password.
If you didn't re-enter your password upon closing the window, the setting didn't take.  The blue "+" should disappear after a few seconds when it's set back to default.  Once all of the certificates are changed back to default, restart Safari.
This solved all of the problems for my wife's computer with these issues and OSX 10.7.4
Thank you to everybody who helped with this bug...

  • Connection Failed: The server "name" may not exist or it is unavailable...

So I think I know what caused this problem, but I can't figure out how to make it stop...
When I go to print, if I try to click on the pop-up to change the default printer setting, there's a LONG delay, then I get a dialog that says:
    Connection Failed
The server "name" may not exist or it is unavailable at this time. Check the server name or IP address, check your network connection, then try again.
Then there's another delay and I get the message a second time. I can then select any of my printer settings and print fine, it's just an annoying delay if I click on that pop-up accidentally or need to change it.
I have a new iMac and I migrated from my old G5. The "name" of the server it is seeking is my old G5, so that must be in the settings somewhere, but I can't find it. I tried going into the Print & Fax settings in System Preferences, deleting the printer there, and then re-adding, but that didn't clear it up.
Thanks for any insight you can provide!
    --John

Hmm, well, this stopped working again for me. I tried swapping ethernet and re-installing the Airport client update - to no avail. I could always see my Mac shares from PCs though. However, I have (for now) managed to connect to the PC using ip address rather than name even though finder quite clearly sees the name. Does your printer connection work by ip rather than name ? I'm going to play name lookup detective for a bit now - it's some kind of Netbios name lookup issue I guess as I've no local DNS service. resolv.conf is apparently not used so a bit of learning to do! ...
... nmblookup seems to work but nslookup doesn't. Looks like SL connect via Finder isn't using nmblookup properly and I can't see how to make that work. When this gets reported enough it should get a publicised work-round or a fix. If only I can get dig/nslookup to slave out to nmblookup ...must be something I can configure for that ??

  • '"Connection Failed" : The server "rrnas01" may not exist or it is unavailable at this time. Check the server name or IP address, check your network connection, and then try again' message

'"Connection Failed" : The server "rrnas01" may not exist or it is unavailable at this time. Check the server name or IP address, check your network connection, and then try again' message keeps displaying whenever I try to open any Adobe CS5 applications (except for Adobe Acrobat Pro). It displays until I click "OK" about 15-20 times or so and then will finally let my program open.
I have tried deleting files within my Library/Preferences folder and turning off/deleting login items within my system preferences as other forums suggested but nothing happened. Spending 3.5 hours on the phone with Adobe and completely uninstalling and then reinstalling the entire CS5 Master Collection didn't work either.
Also, it may be helpful to know that my programs worked fine for about three weeks then when we got internet and changed the password (the join, not the adminstrative password) with the wireless network "ScubaSteve" (which I've used with no problems at my old apartment) it started acting up. I have never seen "rrnas01" before so I don't know at all where it came from. I also installed the free 30 day trial of Suitcase Fusion 3 recently, but thinking that could also be the cause I have uninstalled it, and still no help.
Please help me! And please keep in mind I don't know all the computer lingo that a lot of the people in these forums seem to know. Thanks in advance for ny help you can give me.

It may not be possible .. there is a major bug between Mountain Lion and the TC where the TC disk goes off the radar of the computer.
Lion is also affected but not as badly.
7.6.4 seems worse than earlier firmware.. so back to 7.6.1 or 7.5.2 if that is possible.
Obviously that is not a solution for a later Gen5 TC.
Reset to factory after the firmware downgrade. .use all network names that are short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
If the TC is the main router set the dhcp to a very short lease time.. eg 30min.. and see how it goes, or try a longer lease like 99days.
I prefer the very short lease but response has been mixed.
Use ethernet not wireless.. ethernet is always more reliable and stable than wireless.
And last .. a nightly electric timer that powers off every night at midnight for 1min.. would not be the first device we have suggested a fix that amounts to beat the unit to the punch by forcing it to reboot since it is unstable.
