Connection fee for free Skype Credit

Hi,
I recently got free Skype Credits to call landlines or mobile for up to 75 minutes. However, I would like to check if the connection fees will be deducted from this credit, since the website states that 'Calls made as part of any of our subscriptions are exempt from connection fees.'

From Skype Credit. When making calls with Skype Credit you have 2 charges:
1) Rate per minute: http://www.skype.com/intl/en-us/prices/payg-rates/
2) Connection fee per call: http://www.skype.com/go/connectionfee
This is why I would recommend a subscription if you are making lot of calls. With subscriptions you only make 1 payment monthly, every 3 months or yearly and you don't need to worry about connection fee.

Too many payments taken for my Skype Credit

Hi I would like to know where I can report about 4 payments taken in one day eg May 23rd, 2013 for my Skype Credit account. Instead of only one payment of $40AUD being taken, there were four payments credited to my Credit Card. This should not have happened, and I usually only make one payment at a time? Can you please point me in the correct direction to report this? I would want 3 of the payments put back in the Credit card. Thanks in advance, regards Cheryl

Connection Fee for Skype Pro

I have been a Skype Pro user for years and have just realized just now that I have been paying a "connection fee" when making "FREE" local calls.
Chatting with a customer support person was useless.
If paying a monthly fee, then rid the "connection fee".
I am planning on taking this further.

I've been a Skype uaser since it's first beta public release and put a fair amount of money towards the service in Skype credit, when it was worth it.
As no good deed goes unpunished, I have never-ever received such inept "support" from any legit or non-legit operation. Count on Microsoft to screw up anyhting that used to be good and replace it with a faceless, suportless thingie that nowadays gives NSA a backdoor into it, to top things off.
Anyways, here is my take on it with Kenneth, the useless rep that kept reciting the menaingless mantra that this disgraced company calls "support":

I would really like to talk to a supervisor / manager regarding this issue, which in my opinion is abusive and illegal billing.
You are now a Microsoft product and as such you should be abiding by US consumer laws, which are similar to the ones we have in Canada and offer consumer protection against scams like this.
Why does Skype keep charging me every month when the service I'm paying for is no longer offered?
And why wasn't I offered a credit or an upgrade based on the money I've invested in the "service"?
Please provide a path of escalation to this issue and / or an email address or phone number for someone in management that can answer these question and bring a resolution to the problem.
If I don't a response within 72 hrs - and I don't mean the kind of answers you are giving me, I will use every means at my disposal to discredit Skype for illegal billing practices and lack of actual customer support.

How much is the 'charge' ? You aren't charged for downloading free apps (though some then allow you to make in-app purchases in them).
Did you add or change your credit card details on your iTunes account ? If you did then each time that you do so a small temporary store holding charge ($1 or approximate local equivalent) may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account - it should disappear off your account within a few days or so.

Payment for FREE SKYPE USAGE

I live in the US and I estblished a SKYPE account to communicate with family members. Everyone informs me SKYPE is FREE. If this is so, why did I have to make a payment to vidoe chat with family members who are in the US. I have no intentions on communicating with anyone overseas.

To get the none option, sign out of anything apple you're signed into. Go to the app store and try to download a free app, any free app. Instead of signing in, take the option to to make a new apple ID. Then go through the steps to make the ID and you'll see the 'none' option.

Why can't I pay for a subscription with Skype cred...

I'm a little confused and want to purchase a monthly subscription through Skype, but when my credit was under a dollar, it wouldn't allow me to purchase it. So, I recharged my credit. Now, when I go to sign up for a subscription, it wants to charge my credit card again. Why can't I use the credit that it just made me sign up for? Can I purchase the monthly subscription and get a refund on my $14?

I've made a dozen or so calls to a South African landline just lately. The PAYG call cost from the UK is 2.3p/min (inc VAT), with no connection charge. I reckon I've made roughly £5 of calls but my Skype credit has dropped my much more than this.
Is it possible to get a breakdown of all the debits to my Skype credit? I've searched the website but all I can get is the overall balance.

The cost of calls to South Africa from anywhere (including from within South Africa) is as follows:
There is a connection fee for all PAYG calls worldwide. There is no sales tax (VAT) payable as you have already paid tax on your Skype Credit purchase.
You can see a breakdown of your call costs at your Account Page.

Is it possible to use Citrix for home-use and for free, Only one use?

I am a .Net developer so i need to have Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft Windows for my Work, but i like iPad 2 in Tablets so that i bought one, Now in a video i have seen that Citrix is such a professional Desktop and App Virtualization that it seems Microsoft Windows is running on iOS, so i want to use it but not for business and just for home use, is it possible to set it up for free?

Citrix does not allow iOS to run Windows. Citrix products are one of several ways to connect an iOS device to a system that does run Windows and allow the iOS device to take control of that Windows system. Citrix, to the best of my knowledge, does not make their back-end products (i.e. the software that runs on the system to which you want to connect) available for free; it's usually quite expensive as it's intended for enterprise use.
Citrix for home use would almost certainly be vast overkill, though. Just do a web search for "VNC". VNC is a solution for Windows and iOS that would allow you to take control of your Windows system.

Skype credit showing on iPad, but not Android

Hi all I've just logged into my account on my new android phone & it shows my credit balance is £0.00 but on my iPad, it shows my balance as £3.75 using the same login details.
Any ideas ?

It might take a few minutes after sign in for your Skype credit balance to update. Does the problem still persist today? Also do you see the correct balance on your Skype web account page at www.skype.com/go/myaccount

Deactivating my Skype Credit

Is there any way I can DEactivate my Skype credit? The thing is prior to subscribing to the Unlimited World package, I was using Thailand 400 minutes monthly. Just today I ran out of the balance and I was in the middle of a conversation so I decided to top my account up with Skype credit (10 Euros). A bit later I decided again to change my package to Unlimited World but my Skype in my iPad is using the credit, which is much more expensive than what I'm supposed to pay.
