Connection gets down

Hi everybody,
my client is experiencing a strange problem... he is trying to run a query.. but he gets no results at all. The query has been built on an infoset and gives info on 0Material and its attributes.. I've seen the layout designed by my client and I can say it is quite simple. There is only one filter on 0Material. It consist of a selection option variable. When he executes the query, if he inserts in the selection option only few values he is given the results eventhough with a big delay. If he inserts about 500 part numbers he doesn't get any result and furthermore BEx keeps displaying the message..."Wait for....bla bla bla".
I thought the problem could be that of filtering too many part numbers because of generating an oracle statement too big... but I tried with 2000 part number and also with the ones selected by my client and I got the results in few minutes.
While my client was running the query I checked the processes running with transaction SM50/SM51 and I noticed that there was no process running at all...I checked with transaction ST22 if there was any dump but no dump was generated.. I tried then to see if there were errors in transaction SM21..and I see this message:
Communication error, CPIC return code 020, SAP return code 223
ConversationID:52004099
CPI-C function: CMSEND(SAP)
it says that code 223 means network read error...
does anybody know what it means?? Hope someone can help!!!!
Thanks in advance for your help
Regards,
Marco

The problem is for SAP System Administator:
1) He could maximize the number of conntection with the gateway to
support more parallel processes.
2) the second solution is written in OSS:
Temporary workaround:Set the gw/gw_disconnect parameter to 0. Connections are no longer broken, so terminations are no longer possible.
***The error is definitely eliminated at the following patch levels**** (devi far installare le seguenti patches):
620: 380
610: 610
46D: 1293
The function allowing connections between two gateways that have not been used for a long time to be closed is only available as of Kernel Release 46D. Therefore, corrections do not exist for lower kernel releases either.

I suspect this listener is getting down frequently due to out of memory in the server, but i don't see any error's in alert log file stating out of memory.
Pls share your views on this scenario.

32-bit Windows Error: 233: Unknown errorNot too familiar with how Oracle's processing architecture works on Windows - never used Oracle really on Windows. I suspect that the Listener will call something like +[CreateThread()|http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms682453(VS.85).aspx]+ (or CreateRemoteThread() ) to start a dedicated server process.
This calls fails. The reason for the underlaying (root cause) Win32 error you're seeing.
This can fail for a number of reasons.. the most likeliest being insufficient resources (memory specifically) being available for that thread to be created.
The MSDN article I've linked to above says:
    >
The number of threads a process can create is limited by the available virtual memory. By default, every thread has one megabyte of stack space. Therefore, you can create at most 2,048 threads. If you reduce the default stack size, you can create more threads. However, your application will have better performance if you create one thread per processor and build queues of requests for which the application maintains the context information. A thread would process all requests in a queue before processing requests in the next queue
    >
Of course, this assumption is that the CreateThread() call is used. Oracle could be using fibres or some other Win32 call.. but in principle, that call is failing and is why you are seeing this error.
Oracle supports shared server process architecture on Win32 too. This should (I suspect) reduce the memory footprint of server threads. You may want to investigate this option.

  • Qosmio X500: Lan/Internet connection get lost after period of time

    Hi all,.
I got the qosmio x500 for about half a year now...
I got this problem where after about 5 hours or less the lan/internet connection get lost.
I disabled the wireless connection and is using only the wired connnection now.
When it get disconnected... all devices seems to work seemlessly, no problem can be found. I checked the win7 network adaptor --and it seems to be connected properly.
I haven't got a slightest idea how to fix that.... Only a reset of the system and reloading the os results with a valid connection.
It is even stranger,. When using it for a piriod of time (listeding to audio streams from the web)... when getting back to the machine the audio connection seems to work properly.... but when trying to access other sites, or other machines in the homegroup, or network (under explorer). It result faulty.
Please guide me somehow how to fix the issue, it is bugging me a lot (all these resets to the machine probably doesn't do it any good as well).
    thanks in advance,.

    Hi,
It could be the energy saving feature of your network card.
Right click Network Icon on the status bar, choose 'Open Network Center and Sharing', Click on 'Connection', Click on 'Properties' (low left button), you'll see the tab with your Network Properties. Click 'Configure' (Upper right button), choose 'Power Management' (last right tab).
Uncheck 'Allow computer to shut down this device to save energy'. Probably your problem will now be solved.
If the names I write aren't exactly right, I'm on a French language computer so my translations can be slightly wrong.

  • JDBC messages processed even though connection was down

    Hi,
We have an XI to JDBC flow.
A couple of days ago the database to which the JDBC connection goes was down, but all messages that the system tried to send to this database appear as processed in SXMB_MONI. Only the acknowledgement contains following error:
com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Error when attempting to get processing resources: com.sap.aii.af.service.util.concurrent.ResourcePoolException: Unable to create new pooled resource: DriverManagerException: Cannot establish connection to URL 'jdbc:as400://192.168.197.10:446/WMSLIB': SQLException: The application requester cannot establish the connection. (connect timed out)
This is very annoying since we can't reprocess the messages with status "processed", even though they are not processed at all.
    Any ideas?

Above error message comes when your JDBC channel trying to connect to Data base, but connection not established ,because Connection was down.
in this case none of the messages will be processed.

  • Internet connection slows down after a while

I have a wrt160n connected to an arris cable modem.  When I set it up it works fine - after a period of hours the internet connection slows down a lot.  If I then connect my computer directly to the modem it is is fast again.  But to get the signal to the router working fast again I have to reset the modem and power cycle the router.  Is there a conflict - is my router rationing access or what?

You should download and upgrade/flash your router's firmware...
    Download the Firmware from here
Follow these steps to upgrade the firmware on the device : -
Open an Internet Explorer browser page on a computer hard wired to the router...
In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1...Leave the Username blank & in Password use admin in lower case...
Click on the 'Administration' tab- Then click on the 'Firmware Upgrade' sub tab- Here click on 'Browse' and browse the .bin firmware file and click on "Upgrade"...
Wait for few seconds until it shows that "Upgrade is successful"  After the firmware upgrade, click on "Reboot" and you will be returned back to the same page OR it will say "Page cannot be displayed".
    Now reset your router :
Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...
If your Internet Service Providor is Cable follow this link
If your Internet Service Providor is DSL follow this link
Open an Internet Explorer browser page on your wired computer(desktop). In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1 and press Enter...Leave Username blank & in Password use admin in lower case...
On the set-up tab change the MTU Size to 1350 and click Save Settings...
For Wireless Settings, please do the following : -
    Click on the Wireless tab
    - Here select manual configuration...Wireless Network mode should be mixed...
    - Provide a unique name in the Wireless Network Name (SSID) box in order to differentiate your network from your neighbours network...
    - Set the Radio Band to Standard-20MHz and change the Standard channel to 11-2.462GHz...Wireless SSID broadcast should be Enabled and then click on Save Settings...
Please make a note of Wireless Network Name (SSID) as this is the Network Identifier...
    For Wireless Security : -
Click on the Sub tab under Wireless > Wireless Security...
Change the Wireless security mode to WEP, Encryption should be 64 bit.Leave the passphrase blank, don't type in anything...
Under WEP Key 1 type in any 10 numbers please(numbers only and no letters eg: your 10 digit phone number) and click on save settings...
Please make a note of WEP Key 1 as this is the Security Key for the Wireless Network...
    Click on Advanced Wireless Settings
Change the Beacon Interval to 75 >>Change the Fragmentation Threshold to 2304, Change the RTS Threshold to 2304 >>Click on "Save Settings"...
Now see if you can locate your Wireless Network and attempt to connect...

  • NetworkManager suddenly stuck at connecting (getting IP configuration)

Hi all, just did a pacman -Syu this morning after a week or so of not using the machine...There were a few updates to include a new kernel 3.15.8-1 I think...And of course the xorg116...which I had to avoid due to catalyst drivers...so I added the xorg115 repo at the top and it skipped 116...no problem...the only other odd thing was to replace lzo2 with lzo, which I allowed...
Now I've rebooted, and NetworkManager is stuck on "connecting (getting IP configuration)" according to nmcli d
Anything new I should be aware of? Anyone have any idea what I can try to get wired connectivity back? (I have no wifi where I am now).

I don't have the applet installed, I'm on a console WM (DWM) so I need to be able to do this using I guess nmcli (which is how I usually interact with networkmanager)...
It doesn't appear to be hanging on ipv6...I get the ipv6 timeout about 30 seconds after I start up the connection...then it starts up stage 4 of 5 (IPv4 Configure Timeout) which goes through scheduled, then started, then complete...and thats the last thing I see.  Here's the output.
enp6s0 is the one I'm trying to connect.  This is the output to journalctl -f when I run nmcli n on

  • My Connection broke down very often

    Hi,
I am using MS-Excel 2013 with Power Querry 2.1 , I ma having an operating system Windows 8.1 (64 bit) and I am using the MySQL connector (mysql-connector-net-6.7.5)
My problem is I am able to connect to a MySQL database after providing the credentials but after an interval of time (5-10 mins of idle situation) the connection broke down and I have to connect to my DB again and again.... if the process happened at the
back-end then it's okay but the excel seems to be crashed and I have to connect everything again
Is there some solution for this issue..
looking forward to hear back some positive results
    Thanks and regards

I don't understand this because we don't keep any connections open; we open one when we want to run a query and we close it again immediately afterwards. Is there a specific error messages you're getting?

  • Wifi connection drops down. [SOLVED]

Hi, I'm having some issues with the wifi, in my notebook lenovo b5070. The main problem is that the connection drops down after 20, 30 minutes. I tried to change from NetworkManager to Wicd, but that didn't change anything. I also tried to create a profile and connect me through netctl, but again that didn't change anything. Other issues that I'm having are: Sometimes I can't even connect to the wifi, or if I can connect finally, and I try to request some website, the browser keeps idle and finally shows a "Server not found" message. Also the wifi signal seems pretty fine. I also tried change the tx, rts to the max with iwconfig, but this didn't change anything. I'm running out of ideas. Any idea?

So long I tried as Gusar said to loading the rtl8723b module with those params:
    sudo modprobe rtl8723be fwlps=0
    sudo modprobe rtl8723be ips=0
So far by now, the connection hasn't dropped (one hour since I made the change)
But is quite strange that when I do
    [astinx@compu ~]$ more /sys/module/rtl8723be/parameters/ips
    Y
I mean, the parameters changed or not? I also tried with setting with N instead of 0.
    EDIT:
The drop downs come back shortly after. I find quite strange that I cannot manage the power from iwconfig
    [astinx@compu ~]$ sudo iwconfig wlp9s0 power off
    [sudo] password for astinx:
Error for wireless request "Set Power Management" (8B2C) :
SET failed on device wlp9s0 ; Operation not supported.

  • GPRS Connection gets disconnected after 1 minute

I installed Mail for Exchange on my Nokia e50, but about 40 seconds after synchronisation, the connection gets terminated. The total connection-time is about 1 minute (40 secs idle + 20 secs synchronisation).
The strange part is that with a sim-card from another everything works OK. So you might think that it is a network problem. But i called my network and they say that there is no mechanism that quites connection after 40 seconds of idle time.
The more strange is that with an HTC Touch everything works very well (including push-mail).
So i think there might be a problem with the combination of my T-mobile (NL) network, a Nokia e50 and Mail-For-Echange.
Mail for Exchange + Nokia e50 + KPN => Works
    Mail for Exchange + Nokia e50 + T-Mobile => Doesn't Work
    Mail for Exchange + Nokia e65 + T-Mobile => Doesn't Work
Mail for Exchange + Nokia e65 + KPN => Works
    ActiveSync + HTC Touch + T-Mobile => Works
Somebody got a clue on this situation?

After turning on "Use secure connection" (after installing the whole certificate chain), it seems to work: my gprs is on for 50 minutes now....
    Me very happy
