Connection help please with my home wifi
Hello
Really loving this phone (8520) and a massive leap from my last phone.
Having trouble with connecting to my or my works wifi. It registers both routers and displays the name across at the top of the phone and in wifi settings I have a black square with a white dash line and a green wifi symbol.
I have a Asda pay as you go sim which is fine for the calls text etc but I hearing not so good for the Internet.
I have managed to get the browser going with the Hotspot setting but I'm guessing this isn't using my home wifi as it as slow as a snail and keeps cutting out.
Without Hotspot enabled it tries to use VodaphoneLive and I get the message
"unable to connect to the Internet, please try again later. If the problem persists please contact your service provider"
Is it possible to get another browser to use.

I have had ios6 since I purchased the phone a couple of months ago. It searches for a network and finds them, but when it asks for my password, it will not accept the password. Hi Guys, I'm running snow leopard 10.6.3 recently had update which left me with a DMSL launch problem. Re installed software and now can't connect to Internet with cable or wifi ! can see network and router. Have tried many things and now pulling my hair out !

Try this:
1. Turn router off for 30 seconds and on again
2. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings -

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Help please with 2006 Macbook 13inch, for tv hook up.
Help please with 2006 Macbook 13inch, to hook up to tv for streaming. The display works through VGA but the audio isn't working. Got a plug that goes into headphone jack on computer and connects into the audio jack on the back of tv but no sound. I'm not quite sure what the issue is, whether its the wrong plug, the tv, or the computer. Best Buy says this is the right plug and it seems that it would be, but who knows. If anyone has any experience in this, I would appreciate the help!
Make sure those audio plugs are matched with the VGA plug. With your MacBook running something with audio switch between your sources on the TV Component, Composite and such. See if the sound is coming from another source. If so then you've got your audio plugs in the wrong jacks.
Also could you post the make and model number of your TV. -

I have a home network using ethernet connected devices to a router, also attached to th erouter is a WiFi unit. We are using the WiFi unit to connect to the network and hence to the big wide WWW. We now want to print from our IPads pereferable to our netowk connected HP Officejet Pro 8500 A909a series. (not the wireless model).
I was using the HP ePrint app to print from the Ipad, but I do not fully understand how this works. It seems that you must use the app to do the printing which is fine for basic email and photos, but I can not access the drawing package I have, and want to print from it. Please what is it that I do not understand.You must use an airprint printer directly connected to wifi through it's own wifi card.

If K Penguin's suggestion doesnt work, you will have to go to you iTunes and do a reset, that is if you do not have it in your back up library.

thanksYes, they should be able to verify that WiFi is working properly. If I just got a new phone & it didn't work perfectly, right out of the box, before I started restoring or whatever, I'd be right back where I got the phone.

Having problems connecting 4TH Gen Ipod to home wifi!, Help please.
Okay so basically my Ipod will connect to any wifi connection, except my home wifi. It use to connect just fine, but for some reason it won't connect anymore. When I go to select my wifi, it shows & I tap on it, then a check mark appears, then a couple mins later the wifi symbol in the top right shows up. Even though it says it's connected it wont let me get on safari or anything, basically acting like it's not connected. My iphone 4S is not able to connect to my home wifi network (BSNL). It does detect it and even tries to connect to it but in vain. However, it connects to all other available networks easily. Another interesting thing is that all other devices including an iphone 4 easily connects to this home network. So what is the problem with iphone 4S???
There are two ends to a wireless network. Try rebooting your router. Just pull the power for a few seconds and replug. No settings are lost.
(The fact that all your other devices connect to the internet is irrelevant)
