Connection issues, Call failed

Whenever i try to call someone, skype doesnt ring. Its not an audio problem the call itself doesnt connect to any contact except one that i share a lan type connection with. I can receive calls but i cannot send calls. I have gone through this to see if it helped, http://community.skype.com/t5/Windows-desktop-client/Call-Failed/m-p/1733592/highlight/true#M166129 , nothing has changed. I'm not sure what else it could be.

Are you both using the latest 7.0 version of Skype?
Is the contact you are calling online?
Which platform (Android, iOS, Mac, Windows...) and Skype version does remote side have?
Can you please reproduce the issue and provide logs as described in this link https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA12321/how-do-i-create-log-files under Skype for Windows Desktop and attach it to your post?
Thank you

My ipad2 won't connect to another ipad2. It rings, says connecting, then says call failed. I've connected with this person before. Stopped working recently. And my audio won't work on FaceTime. Mute is off and all settings set for sound.

I've had this issue between 2 iMacs and an iPad2. No solutions yet, and I've tried changing the DNS. Sorry.

  • Network Issue- Call Failed

I have an iPhone 4, my phone has been replaced so many times because I continually have problems with iPhones. My last phone was October although my phone is no longer under the 1 year warenty. Since updating my software to iOS6 EVERY TIME I send/receive a call after a few seconds it says call failed, bleeps and cuts off. Does anyone know how to fix this? Will apple be able to give me a new phone? Vodafone sent me a new sim card but this was not the problem as it is still doing it. So annoyed when I pay so much money every month and can't even make a call.

Most likely the routing for VPN subnets is not configured correctly.
VPN is not a good solution to carry voice traffic you will want to make your call over the EDGE Server instead for better performance and quality
You will need to use Split Tunnel for Media when using Lync
In NextHopp you will find more information on how to do that (its not very straight forward)

Hi, I use facetime regularly with my parents who live outside US and it stopped working. Their ipad2 rings, says connecting..and then 'call failed'. Upgrading their iOS5 (or 6) is not a option as my parents do not know to do this. I came across forums where this issue is mentioned on apple support and cnet.
Is there another option apart from upgrading ?

Well, in his defense, his parents bought him the player so I guess we can't blame him. Though the 6 GB versions were available in November so I guess they really did get 'nervous' about Christmas and like to get their shopping done early! Kudo's to you for trying to remain with the Creative line but for what you're looking for it's obviously not the player for you. Creative seems to be fine-tuning their line for the audio crowd. I'm into mp3 players for the audio. Sure, the ability to watch video's and look at pictures on a decent screen is a plus but for me at least, it's all about the music. And with music, 6 GB is more than enough. Heck, 8 GB would have been more than enough for me. I'm a subscriber to Napster-to-go, so I don't feel the need to carry 00 plus GB of stuff on my portable player. I honestly don't understand the desire to watch movies or TV shows on tiny little screens. But you're also talking to a guy who doesn't watch television. What a complete waste of time and brain cells. Probably the **competitor products we can't discuss here** or one of those players would better suit your needs. Companies are definately picking their niche markets carefully and Creative's decision to not offer hard dri've players any more seems to definately be saying bye-bye to that market. I can't say I blame them. Hard dri'ves eventually give up the ghost and are quite delicate for people on the go. Good ridance, I say. Let Apple, Zune and all the others cater to the Z generation's need to be spoonfed their video/TV addictions anywhere and everywhere. I'll pass. It's one thing to be able to enjoy some music on the go and enhance an otherwise dull work day or dri've. But movies/TV shows at work, school, or wherever? Please. Cut the cord! Just my $.02 - YMMV! halodev:
I made a CF/Flex site based on the Flexstore sample app,
using a database instead of XML as the data source; in case you
    want to see it:
    http://www.timos.com/dg/flex/DilemmaGames.html
    At first I had troubles similar to what you describe;
initially, part of the problem was that my hosting company had not
yet upgraded to CF 7.02. One other thing I had to correct: when you
upload to your server, upload the entire ‘bin’ (or
whatever your output folder is) minus the debug SWF.
If it would help with other issues, contact me and I will be
glad to make my project code available to you. Good luck.

  • Random Net connection call failed errors

    Hi All,
I've built a Flex application which is calling coldfusion CFC through remote objects in order to retrieve data.
2 days ago, I've updated the server with coldfusion 9 and my issue is that I have sometime those kind of error messages :
    [RPC Fault faultString="error" faultCode="Channel.Call.Failed" faultDetail="NetConnection.Call.Failed: HTTP: Failed"]
    [RPC Fault faultString="error" faultCode="Channel.Call.Failed" faultDetail="NetConnection.Call.Failed: HTTP: Status 503"]
    [RPC Fault faultString="error" faultCode="Channel.Call.Failed" faultDetail="NetConnection.Call.Failed: HTTP: Status 500"]
    [RPC Fault faultString="error" faultCode="Channel.Call.Failed" faultDetail="NetConnection.Call.Failed: HTTP: Status 504"]
    [RPC Fault faultString="Send failed" faultCode="Client.Error.MessageSend" faultDetail="Channel.Connect.Failed error NetConnection.Call.Failed: HTTP: Failed: url: 'http://servername/flex2gateway/'"]
It was also happening on Coldfusion 8 and even on one other sever with another application.
(but same logic  Flex -> remote Objects -> CFC -> sql2005).
When we were still running CF8 I added this <add-no-cache-headers>false</add-no-cache-headers> to the service-config.xml file but with no success.
I do not know if it's related to this but I also sometimes have this error message :
[RPC Fault faultString="Channel disconnected" faultCode="Client.Error.DeliveryInDoubt" faultDetail="Channel disconnected before an acknowledgement was received"]
Most if time the application is running fine, but I want to avoid this errors.
For example yesterday I recieved +- 50 times the NetConnection.Call.Failed error and 20 times Channel disconnected error.
Do not hesitate to ask if I need to post CF9 settings summary or something else.
    Thank you for your help.
    Aubry

That's a pity, but thanks for the reply.

  • FaceTime will not connect, keep getting Call Failed

Since middle of last week have not been able to make calls with FaceTime keep getting message saying connecting, then get "Call Failed'

I had the same issue.  FT worked fine on my iPhone, iPad, and one of our iMacs, but not our newest iMac.
After searching all over, I stumbled on the solution.
Here is the snip that worked for me...
Click the Finder icon in the Dock.
Choose Go to Folder from the Go menu.
    Type:  /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration
    Click Go.
In the Finder window, locate the file named "NetworkInterfaces.plist" and drag this file to the Trash.
    Restart your computer.

    Hi, SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!
I'm a premium subscriber and I've had multiple calls fail today due to "internal error" and these are USA to USA calls. No proxy, nothing out of the ordinary, and they're failing...been going on for a couple days.
I'm using the most updated version, I've restarted multiple times.

  • Lync server call failed due to network issues

    hi,
i receive an error while making a lync call to an internal user
"call failed due to network issues"
i have two ip's installed on My NIC but when i remove one ip of the ip's from
my nic, everything seems to work fine.
    Kindly help

    Hello Matt,
    Hope you keeping well..!!
We are communicating with external customers lync server through federation option setup on our corporate lync server.  We have received the federation setting from the customer with SIP address which has been setup on our corporate lync servers after
that we were able to browse the customer contact through corporate lync account.
We were also able to chat with external customer but however voice/video functionality are not working through same session.  Whenever we try to dial out external customer lync account it ended with error message "call ended due to network issue".
We have checked the setting from corporate lync servers and network point of view but doesn't find any issue which cause the disconnection to voice/video over lync.  Could you pl help or guide with the way.
    Thanks

  • Intermittent connection issues: The underlying provider failed on Open

We are experiencing this error from Azure Compute to SQL Azure intermittently over the last couple of days (SE Asia).
We have several applications in the same configurations and many of them exhibit this error for a period of time (some around 15 minutes).
I checked the Azure status board and there is one warning about Networking but it is informational only. The Azure portal shows 0 failed connections on the database monitor and the connection numbers aren't massive (highest is 240).
Is there another issue going on that's not on the status board (or is that networking issue worse than specified)?
The application hasn't experienced this issue until the last couple of days so we don't believe it's a bug.
    Details:
A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider:

    Hello,
SQL Database connection can fail for various reasons – a malformed query, network issues, and so on. Some errors are transient or intermittent. The general best practices to prevent connection-losses is to re-establish the connection and then re-execute
the failed commands or the query. For example,  You can try to apply retry logic for SQL Server  in your application.
