  • External content type error: Business Data Connectivity object not found.

    Hello
I have to change the external database (external system) for an external content type. The database view on the new database is exactly the same as on the old database.
After changing the external system of the external content type, this happens:
When I try to add a new item to the list, I get this error under the external data field:
"Business Data Connectivity object not found. Administrators, see the server log for more information."
Also, when I try to update the external data field, it is not possible because the buttons are grey.
When I add a new external data field to the same list, I can use the external content type. For some reason the current external data field doesn't update.
    Any ideas?
Any help would be much appreciated!

Have you implemented both ‘Read List’ & ‘Read Item’ operations in your ECT?

  • CRM/ISU: Notes (or Texts) at Connection Object Level and replication

    Hi there,
I am trying to replicate to CRM (and back to ISU) the Text objects linked against the Connection Object in ISU.
The idea is to have two texts area in the Connection Object in the WebIC that can be replicated back to the related ISU's ones.
The requirement is to replicate those texts (multiline texts, textarea, notes) linked against the Connection Object from CRM to ISU.
The connection object in CRM is a "casted" Individual Object that can be linked against Notes (or Texts), isn't it?
So the IObjects can have a Notes Assignment Block.
The problem is that from an WebIC point of view the Notes Assignment block obviously are not shown.
Have someone of you done something like that before? Any idea?
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Carlo.

    Hello,
Please see note  632749 for help with this issue.
Please also check the foloowing points:
    1.  Are there any contract account entries existing in the table 'TFK_BUAG_REF' (IS-U System).
    2.  Check the contract account entries in your IS-U system with the transaction 'CAA3'. Are they existing ?
    3.  The buag class entry in table 'TFK_BUAG_REF' (IS-U System) is corresponding to the buag class entry in your business agreement (CRM system).
    I hope this is helpful.
    Regards

  • Connection Object Delta Load not happening

    Hi Gurus,
I am doing integration between ISU and CRM 5.0. I have achieved integration both sides for BP , Contract Account. I have also done initial load for Connection Objects using object 'SI_CONNOBJ'. We are able to see IBase getting created for the Connection Objects but when I change the data in a particular Connection Object it is  not trigerring Delta Load for the Object.
Please help me for the same.

    Hi Aishuman,,
Please check for the following entry in R/3 table TBE31:
    EVENT    IBSSICON
    LAND
    APPLK    BC-MID
    FUNCT    ECRM_CONTRACT_COLLECT_DATA
which brings the delta change to CRM.
Also,in CRM txn:R3AC1,check for the filter setting for object SI_CONNOBJ.
Also,in R/3 table CRMRFCPAR ,make sure that for object SI_CONNOBJ(or *) for consumser CRM(or *),value of DISCARDDAT is not set to X.If set to X,would prevent delta change to flow to CRM.
Also, check for the queue registration in txn:SMQR.If your queue is de-registered or lock is set, then entry will not be processed in CRM.
    Hope this helps!

  • Errors occurred during extraction of UD Connect object field- table not fou

    Hi,
In BI 7.0 system I can't select any UD Connect source object on the "Extraction" tab page of  the DataSource maitenance screen. If I type the table name (which is "UDITEST") into it and then hit the "Proposal" tab page, I get the following error:
Errors occurred during extraction of UD Connect object field-list: Errors occurred during extraction of UD Connect object field-list: UDCADAPTERROR::RSSDK|200|Table: uditest not found|
    Message no. RSDS_ACCESS036
    Analysis:
    1) We have tested the BI JDBC Connector using the URL:
    http://xxxabcdev03:50000/TestJDBC_Web/TestJDBCPage.jsp
We got the list of tables displayed (UDITEST table is also displayed)=> connector is configured properly.
    2) When we are trying to configure the Source system in rsa1->modelling->source systems-> UD connect -> create,
    a) RFC Destination: We are using an RFC Connection that is already in place of type 'T'   between the J2EE engine and BI ABAP engine. We tested this connection from SM59 -> TCP/IP connections and it is working fine.
How do we test whether the RFC between J2EE engine and BI ABAP engine is a 2 way RFC connection?
    b) Logical System Name: We have manually typed in free text 'UDC_local'. Could you please clarify do we need to type in manually or select the logical system name from the F4 help?
Which logical system name should we enter here exactly.. pls clarify.
Do we have a seperate logical system name for the J2EE server...?
    c) Type of Connector : JDBC
    d) name of connector: SDK_JDBC
    e) Source system name: SDK_JDBC
    f) Type and Release : blank
Thanks to any answers in advance!
    Best regards,
    Syam

    Hi,
Tried to give the Logical System Name in uppercase ie: UDC_LOCAL.
Now, when I click on the F4 of 'UD Connect Source Object' in Extraction tab, I get the message as below:
"Extraction of existing UD Connect data source objects".
But no list of tables is being displayed. When I entered the table name (UDITEST) manually, it gives the same error as :
" Errors occurred during extraction of UD Connect object field- table not found"...
Could you please specify from where is the UD Conenct source object fetched from?

  • Customers Created in R3 are not replicating in connected CRM System.

    Dear All,
I am facing an issue " Customers created in SAP R3 are not replicating to CRM system".
Please provide me the possible do list (Check list) to solve this problem (if any Middleware settings also).  This an urgent issue with the production system.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi ,
    Check following :
SMQ1/2 - Inbound/ Outbound Queues in both ERP and CRM system. You can see if there some "stoppes"queues.
SMW01 - Bdoc messages in CRM - detailed explanation about errors in replication.
Check if "stop data" flag in table  "CRMRFCPAR" in erp systemis is unchecked.
Check your filter definitions in R3AC1 trn business object "customer_main" .
Also check SAP Note 429423 - you have detailed check list for middelware problems.

  • ISU-CRM Initial load of connection object

    Hi All,
Currently we are working on replication  of connection object from ISU to CRM
We have followed the settings as metioned in cookbook-ISU/CRM replication of technical object.
During initial download,BDOC's are going into error with with the error "General error (exception) in product API" and "Validation error occurred: Module VALIDATE_MSGBDOC_FOR_CONNOBJ, BDoc type SI_CONNOBJ.
We have created subcategories for  connection object and POD in the hierarchy R3PRODSTYP.
What other setting are we missing?
    Regards
    NIkhil

    Hi ,
    The number range is maintained.
I was debugging the code and one function module COM_PR_SET_CHECK_ALL is giving error "Assign a base category to the product"
Diagnosis "When you create a product you must assign it a category. This category is used for number assignment and must be from the hierarchy assigned to the application Product (see also No hierarchy assigned to the application Product)."
Procedure :Assign the appropriate category to the product.
    Any idea about the error?
The replication is working perfectly fine in our sandbox system and FM is returning no error.
    Regards

  • Oracle Connection object is not getting instantiated

We have a Web application developed in .net (code behind vb.net) using Visual Studio 2003 and Oracle Database 10G version 10.1.0.2. We have a test machine which we use to test our Web application with the same version of oracle. Our web application was working fine in that test machine until Oracle got corrupted in the that machine. After that I reinstalled Oracle 10G and when I tried to run the web application it threw an exception saying "Object Reference Not set to instance of an Object". When I went into that problem a bit deeper , I came to know that Oracle Connection Object was not getting instantiated (ie OracleConnection object=nothing). At the same time the web application is working fine in my machine. One of my friend suggested me that I have to register some of the Oracle DLL files using regsvr32 utility. But he is not sure which DLL to be registered. Also we do have a Windows Application developed in .net using the same VS2003 and oracle 10 G which is running fine in the same test machine.

Thanks for the reply. I was desperately waiting for that.
I found the following result when I run the gacutil utility on my machine.
The Global Assembly Cache contains the following assemblies:
    Oracle.DataAccess,version=10.2.0.100, Culture=nuetral, PublicKeyToken=89b483f429c47342, Custom=null
The cache of ngen files contains the following entries:
    Number of items = 1
But when I used the same utility on the test machine it resulted as follows
The Global Assembly Cache contains the following assemblies:
    Oracle.DataAccess,version=10.1.0.200, Culture=nuetral, PublicKeyToken=89b483f429c47342, Custom=null
The cache of ngen files contains the following entries:
    Number of items = 1
That is there was change in the version of ODP.net what I use in my machine and Test Machine. But I clearly remember that I have installed Data Access layer DLL's of the web project from my machine to the test machine and were running successfully befor eoracle got re installed on that test machine.

  • Connection object in one method not accessible to another method

    Hi ,
I have a method init() which contains the following:
    PropagatedDatabaseTransactionService.getInstance().getPropagatedDatabaseTransaction().begin();
              java.sql.Connection connection = PropagatedDatabaseTransactionService.getInstance().getPropagatedDatabaseTransaction().getConnection();
    try {
    Statement stmt = connection.createStatement() ;
    and so on
I have 2 other methods in which i wish to use the "connection" object and also "stmt". I dont think I can place the connection code outside a method (also it throws an exception).
How do i change the code so that the other 2 methods can also access the connection to the database?
    Thanks

Either pass them as parameters or make them into member variables.

  • ISU Connection Object Creation

    Hi,
I am trying to create a IS-U Connection Object using .Net Connector 2.0, but when i execute the function it creates the Functional Location in PM, but i need to create connection object inside IS-U, BAPI function provided by SAP allows me to create only Functional Location in PM, is it any way by which i can create IS-U Connection Object using NCO

Way around is to execute the T-Code from .Net using rfc functions
