Help me please.
1)How could i connect my Sun Ultra to internet(dial up). Do i need a special modem for Sun.....or ethernet card would be enough?
Below is the system specification:
Sun UltraSPARC-IIi 270MHz processor
256 MB memory
8.4 GB HDD
100/10BaseT Ethernet
CD-ROM drive
3.5" Floppy drive
2)Also, how to connect Sun to my PC.

"dial up" does not need a ethernet card.
If you have a broadband you can connect it with ethernetcard and configures the Soalris with DHCP.
Use a ordinary modem for the dialup over phoneline.
Connect Sun to PC depends on what you meen.
If you want to share files. Install a NFS server on your Windows. Searh for NFU (Network Services for Unix" on microsoft site. Or on the Sun Solaris use Samba to mount Windows Shares.
If you want remote desktop. Use the rdesktop software that installs with the Solaris Companion CD. You can access your windows desktop from inside your Solaris.
Or if you wish, you can use software like xmanager and alike to access the SUN desktop from your Windows OS.

Try rebooting the router. Just remove the power for a few seconds. No settings are lost.

I can't help you with a direct answer. For third-party devices you should contact the vendor (Vodafone).
If you have an iPhone (or an Android phone with hot-spot capability) you can use that to connect to the Internet without paying for a separate cellular service.

I have a JDBC connection configured, looked up by JNDI working fine with servlets.
The question is: I have a firewall between my appserver and the database server that closes all idle connections longer than 10 minutes.
The appserver assumes the connection is still alive, and when there is made an attempt, it keeps trying for a long time.
Is there any way I can keep that connection alive?
Or, any way to 'tell' the appserver to reestablish the connection?

I am having trouble connecting to my wireless internet. I keep getting message that my network configuration settings have changed. Ive been advised that i need to change settings to look for dynamic ip address ?

I have had the Mac for months and have not had this problem before. I would appreciate any help please on how to fix this ?

This could be a problem with the server's configuration or it could be someone trying to impersonate the server.
If you have connected to this server successfully in the past the error may be temporary and you can try again later.

Connecting Iphone 4S, Iphone 5 and Ipad to BT500 H...

I recently bought and set up a Hotspot 500 additional unit linked it no problem and my TV etc work fine via the Ethernet ports. The problem is with both my Iphone (4S) my wifes Iphone 5 and an Ipad they all pick up the wireless signal allow me to select it in settings and input the wireless password.
This is were the problem on all three devices start in that after enetering the password all the devices just show the little spinning Icon next the Wireless signal name and never complete the login (little tick next to signal name).
Obviously this is really frustrating so any help would be appreciated.

Okay, so I spoke too soon and it's now fine.
I had plugged in the Wi-Fi Home Hotspot in at work to try and change the SSID but I hadn't connected it to the Internet and hadn't plugged in the Broadband Extender Flex. My iPhone and iPad wouldn't connect properly and the MacBook Air would connect but the BT Device Configuration tool couldn't see the device.
When I got home I plugged the Extender Flex in and got it hooked up to the Internet first. Once the Home Hotspot was connected to it everything worked absolutely fine. I don't know if it was the connection to the Extender or the connection to the Internet but one of them is obviously required.

When does Web Start try and connect to Sun

How can I make it so web start doesn't try to connect to sun ever? I want it to check for updates only to our application and I don't want it to try and access the Internet. Thanks.

I've heard the JWS installer looks in the Windows Registry for already installed Java Runtime
Environments (JREs), version 1.2.2 and higher, and automatically configures Java Web
Start to use them and that it also installs version 1.3.0_03 if it is not there. Does this mean that if I already have that version installed it won't go out to Sun's website? It seems to me that after JWS is installed it tries to access the internet each time it is run. Anyone know?

Why does JavaFX deployment rely on javascript and connecting to sun servers

I understand that there's a way to deploy javafx applets and jnlp offline by downloading the required files from sun's website.
But normally, it seems that a connection to sun servers must be made for anything to run and javascript has to be enabled to use applets.
Why is connecting to sun servers necessary? especially, when the client already has the javafx runtime.
What if the client loses internet connection or disables javascript, how can one run the JavaFX application/applet then?

Not necessarily true, the applet can be on a network and the Internet access can be deactivated.
I haven't tried, but I think if the runtime is in cache, the applet can be run. Although the applet loading code or the JNLP can attempt to check for a new version, I don't know what happen when they cannot.

If you open the Maps app where does that say you are located?
For location the iPod uses the location of nearby routers that are in Apple's database of routers and their location. Thus it appears that Apple's database is incorrect. You do not have to be connected to the router, just within range.
Apple periodically updates their database based on information they obtain from iPhones, The iPhone has to have turned on the option to send info to Apple. no one has found another way to get the location of a router added/corrected.
You can confirm that by going to well-know place with wifi like Starbucks or McDonalds

Initially, you asked if you can hardwire your MBA to the TC. The answer is yes, by using the optional USB Ethernet adapter that Apple provides. However, in order for your MBA to access the TC's internal or USB-attached HDD, it would need to establish a network connection to it. This would be true of any NAS device on an Ethernet network. Therein, lies the problem. Your MBA cannot connect to two networks simultaneously.
One option then, would be to have two separate iTunes Media folders; one on the MBA & the other on the TC. This way, you can download the music to your MBA when connected to the Internet at the AirPort lounge, and then use iTunes Consolidate Library feature to transfer the audio files to the TC's iTunes Media Folder location. A great program to help maintain multiple iTunes Librarys and/or Media Folders, that you may want to consider, is PowerTunes.
