Connection Run Around

I placed an order to move my phone and internet to Telstra on June 3rd, as this was not a normal churn I was told the phone would be connected on 25/06 and internet on the 30/06.  Ok so the phone was disconnected on 25/06 in the morning, no phone when I got home from work that night.  Called Telstra was told it would be on by the next morning.  As it turned out it took 5 phone calls the next day just to get the phone connected. I then called the activations team to find out when the internet would be connected, apparently the order had gone into error back on the 03/06 and had just sat there. The csr told me he would call me back the next morning as the back of house sytems were down and they could not check into when the adsl connection would go ahead. Of course there was no call back the next morning so I called back myself.  The girl checked into my account and said she would have to call me back on Monday morning as the by-pass team didn't work on weekends.  She actually called me back a few hours later and said that she had good news and the internet would be connected on 30/06 as first promised.   Monday comes around and I get a text from Telstra saying interenet connection has now been pushed back to Friday 03/07, I was not happy with this so I called them back, i was put on hold by the csr and when she came back I was told no that's wrong, the internet connection will still be 30/06 between 10 - 10:30 am. Today is the 30/06 and I have received a text to say that the connection has now been pushed back to 07/07, this is unacceptable and I called Telstra again only to be put on hold again while the csr (a different one again) checked with the by-pass team.  I am told the earliest it can be will be 03/07. To say I am unimpressed with this royal screw up by Telstra is an understatement.  Is there a rep on here that can deal with this please as we have now been without internet since last Thursday. I need this sorted out asap or I will be calling the TIO.

If it requires an exchange appointment to connect the DSL then you have to wait for an available appointment.
Internet services are not subject to any form of Customer Service Guarantee and are done on a best effort basis. Also with a TIO complaint, they have 2 weeks to make initial contact after you make the complaint, by which time it looks like you'll be connected anyway.

    Try:
    - Powering off and then back on your router.
    - iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
    - Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers
    Public DNS — Google Developers
    OpenDNS IP Addresses
    - For one user uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes resolved the problem
    - Try on another computer/network
    - Wait if it is an Apple problem

  • Flash player run around

    hi I'm trying to re-install Adobe Flash Player onto my Acer Aspire ONE 721 netbook(approx 6 mths old) after I had a new hard drive fitted quite recently to operate Oxford i pack DVD for my teaching job and I keep getting the run around. I have tried for two days to install this program and the computor is showing that I have downloaded it but the i-pack is telling my that to run the program I need Adobe Flash Player. I have deleted and tried to re-install the software but now all I'm getting is the download page telling my to download now with Google Chrome which I accept then it goes to the next page which tell me that it will come with Mcfee Security Scan Plus which I at first said no but now (just to get this thing onto my box to start working) i accept which then puts me back to the Google Chrome page and so on.I have deleted all programs to do with this effort and re-installed to see if this helps. I am using internet 9 and avast antivirus and I have used this Oxford i pack on this netbook before the new hard drive so don't see what the problem is, I have downloaded Adobe Reader X this morning and it is working fine so I now my connection is/was good.
    can anybody help me as I'm really annoyed now and need to resolve this problem soon

    I need more experience and help from people like yourself to aid people like me thru these problems!!!!!!!.
    I now can use flash player as I went to a computer shop here close to home and explained the problems and after an hour the technician got the blessed thing working finally by uninstalling then downloading flashplayer on the shop computer then installing via memory stick and to solve the language problem he is installing windows 7 ultimate as the copy of windows 7 home premium I have doesn't allow a change of language to English, any other language except English.
    So the way that I got my problem sorted was firstly went to somebody who understood computers better than me and secondly he downloaded the Flashplayer program on memory stick on the shops computer and then reinstalling it onto my computer
    Thank you all for you advice and input and now hopefully this might help a few of you out there,if not keep on asking because sooner or later somebody will can up with a suggestion that will help you

    Strange your exchange is less than a mile away. If you enter your landline number into here, What speeds does it estimate for ADSL2+?
    Do you share your line with anyone one else?
    Your noise margin is slightly higher than the 6db target. Have you tried a quite line test (dial 17070 option 2 from landline) no noise on corded phone but slight dim hum normal on cordless.
    I see your hub has a connection time of 2days, have you manually reset it or has it just automatically resynced?
    Hopefully when you order BT Infinity they send out an engineer who will install the equipment and give you a new BT Infinity master socket.

  • ENOUGH  iPod Support Run Around

    Why should I have to sift through pages on pages of support material trying to find something that even remotely describes my problem to get something that I paid 400 bucks to work ? I still think 400 bucks is a nice chunk of change. And, I am tired of following the "5" steps to fix my iPod. I've reloaded, rebooted, and reset everything 3 times guys. There has to be a better way to do this. I even have to waste my sleep time signing up for this discussion group JUST TO ASK A QUESTION!!! First thing on top of any of the numerous support pages should be, "HAVE A QUESTION, CLICK HERE TO CONTACT SOMEONE". Convoluted run around. Bad support. I will have to call you tomorrow -- unless I throw this thing out the window first.

    Morning All, I happened to preorder a set of iphone 6 16gb in silver on saturday with a deliver by date of 9/19 i received and order confirmation number and i check the status and it says the order is processing to check back at a later time, however my brother ordered his on monday morning and he received his shippping tracking number yesterday have any of yal had this problem? I have called verizon multiple time and keep getting the run around from them as to whats the status on my order renging from they cant provide me more info than that to telling me ill receive the phones by 10/7 to telling me my order has processed and shipped but cant provide confirmation.     just got off the phone with internet orders with a supervisor named gary he was very rude told me if i didnt like my service to feel free to cancel he claims that the order delie by date was an estimate prior to them knowin how many devices apple was going to give to them and that now my expected date is 10/7 im in the brink of canceling all my verizon services as they have some of the prst customer service / sales department by far how is it make any sense people that ordered after me are going to receive the phones before me.

    Can I use my iPad to record excel inventory figures? I have excel on my Macbook Air and have Mavericks on it. But I use the iPad when I run around taking inventory. The computer is just too large and cumbersome to carry while walking around. I Want to add numbers to my excel docs whilst right on my ipad as I go through inventory.
    Is there a way to get my excel doc into my iPad and open it to add numbers?
    And, because Mavericks is now the system that allows iPad (ios) devices to talk to Mavericks on macs, isn't this supposed to now be doable?
    And, woe is me if not yet at this time. If so, is there an Application some smart person created that will allow me to transfer from mac to ipad and back to mac and excel numbers I input?

  • Very disappointed with Motorola Razr M AND VZW Run Around

    I got the Motorola Razr M last December.  I picked the Motorola M because it was a nice compact size without compromising screen size and Motorolas are very durable phone....or so I thought.  I have had nothing but problems with this model phone.  I am on my 6th replacement.   I have had software problems and hardware problems.  Two "certified" replacement phones have had hardware defects upon being sent out to me.  The rest have had numerous software problems.  Verizon has been good about sending out replacement phones since I was under my 1 year manufacturers warranty..until this week when I asked if i could get a different phone sent out since this models seems to have so many problems.  I got a major run around and no follow up by a "management supervisor" who told me she would work directly with me to resolve the situation...she even gave me her direct number but ended up not being her number when I tried to call back.  I am not pleased with the way VZW has decided to handle this as I have been a loyal customer for 11 years.  I do blame the reps...I know they are doing their jobs with the boundaries that are set for them.  I just want a phone to work for the remainder of my contract with VZW.  I even tried to contact Motorola and they said since I bought the phone through VZW I had to work with VZW for replacements.  SO VERY FRUSTRATING!

    You have actually helped me with a decision that has been driving me crazy for the past week.  I do not need nor do I want all or most of the above you mentioned.  Heck I hardly use half of that stuff on my home computer or I-pad.  I will definately stay with my basic phones that I can get calls, texts and take pictures.   Thanks again.

  • Anchored frame that is run-around AND protrudes into margin?

    FM 8.04, Win XP.
    Is it in any way possible to create a small anchored frame (let's say 10 x 10 mm) that is run-around AND protrudes 1 or 2 mm into the left margin?
    I need it for drop caps and have managed everything except the protrusion into the margin.
    I can get protrusion into the margin by setting the anchored frame to "Outside column" or "Outside text frame" and then setting a negative value for "Distance from text column" - but then it isn't run around by the body text (despite inserting a text frame into the anchored frame and changing run-around properties).
    Any ideas?

    Unfortunately, you're hitting the limits of anchored frame behaviour.
    It's an either/or proposition. You can have run-arounds, but you can't
    control the position except for placement at the start or end of a
    paragraph.
    An alternative, but clumsy and labour-intensive, is to set the start
    positions (indents - first & left) of all of the document paratags to
    be the desired offset (1-2mm) of the anchored frame. Then by setting
    the frame to start at the beginning of the anchoring paratag (not set
    with the indents), you will get the equivalent effect.
    If this is just going to be a single location and won't be subject to
    much editing (i.e. document reflow), then you could also consider
    using a graphic frame set with runaround, which you can position
    anywhere.

    Download and use LDAP 1.2.3 or JDK 1.3.1.
    The problem should go away.

    Your iPhone is in recoverty mode at the moment so to possibly get it back up and running you would need to do a restore as you have been trying. Follow the steps in the article below for the specific error messages you have been receiving. If after following all steps the issue remains book an appointment at a local Apple Retail Store to have the iPhone evaluated.

  • Run around solutions?

    So I need suggestions before I take business elsewhere. I've been a long standing customer of Verizon and unfortunately brought wife and family over as well. My wife's iPhone screen cracked with one week left before her two year contract is up and she can upgrade. So I assure her it won't matter that it is a week early, I'm sure they will work with you. So she goes into a Verizon store front in which they tell her they cannot approve it a week early but to go home and call online support to approve and note her account so she can return the following day. So she calls the online support which they tell her the store folks are lazy and always say that but they can do the upgrade, the online support told her the account was noted and to return to the store. So she does that only for the store clerk to again deny her any progress. Now its three days later and three attempts but only the run around. How sorry do you have to be and now to avoid my wife and two boys spending another afternoon wasting time with Verizon I have to shop other vendors myself.
    Any suggestions or similar stories out there?

    Verizon does not upgrade early. They changed all that long ago.
    What you get today is a stall tactic and then when its time you can then upgrade.

    I'm sorry to report that I've not yet  figured out how to go about this 'Cleaning'. I've run the cleaner on the Applications Manager, then attempted to reinstall the downloaded Applications Manager and again I get the same message as above. I attempted to trash the Applications Folder and rerun the installer. That did not work. I then moved the downloaded Applications folder to the utilities folder and restarted CS5>Updates. It reports, again it can't find/or is damaged Applications Manager. I will now take the folder out of the trash and return it to the Utilities folder.
    If I run the Recovery tool on Photoshop will I uninstall Photoshop or will it only 'clean' it. Does it mean I will lose any third party plugins?
    I do thank you for your continued support. This is the first time a requested answer/suggestion to my troubles has been promptly be addressed by 'Adobe'. I am also pleased I can reply to an email to aid in resolving questions.

  • CompactRIO shows as Connected - Running in NI MAX but Labview can't detect it

    I'm trying to get started with programming a CompactRIO. Yesterday I had a lot of trouble just getting the CompactRIO to show as connected in NI MAX, but now that it is connected Labview still can't find it. In the "Add targets and Devices" window the "Real-Time CompactRIO" folder shows "<No items found>" even though NI MAX shows the cRIO as "Connected-Running". Any ideas on how I can make Labview see the cRIO?

    What model are you using?  Have you tried performing an IP reset, deleting your disconnected targets in max, then reloading the cRIO?
