Connection to a new PC
I updated my ipod using my old PC and I don't know how to transfer all my itunes from my ipod to the new library on my new pc. can anybody help?

To move your music from your iPod to the new PC, use either method detailed in MacMuse's post below. In my opinion, the iPod Agent is the easiest option. They have a 15-day free trial on that software.

I have the G Drive 1 TB (GEN4 1TB) external drive purchased in 2010. I need to connect to my new MacBook Pro. I'm using the external drive for media storage of my video editing projects. Will a 800fw to thunderbolt adapter cable work? I understand that using a USB port connection is not fast enough for video editing. I read somewhere the G Drives don't connect well to MacBook Pro.

Can you afford a new Thunderbolt case and cable? any case with FW800 is going to be slow 72MB/sec and less, and any new 1TB drive is capable of 75MB/s minimum up to 125MB/sec.
Thunderbolt storage can of course when setup properly reach 100's of MB higher using multiple drives.
Use what you have for a system backup or for secondary backup storage.
you might be able to take the drive - most cases allow you to open and swap drives - and use this:

My laptop died so I've installed itunes onto another PC and my music is all on an external hardive which is connected to the new PC. How can I sync my ipod with the new itunes and get all the music onto itunes?
You might consider itunes match for moving CDs you've copied into your itunes library if you dont have a way to use home sharing.
iTunes match is an optional service offered by apple that costs about $25 a year. It scans your music library and if it finds music that is already in apple's itunes catalog it'll automatically "unlock"/"store" these in the cloud for you. My ipod classic (80 GB, from 2006) is connected to a new computer, but only sync 241 songs, out 1825. I have restored several times. How can I fix this? my old computer is damaged and the new one run on Windows 8.
joseruiz1I ran into this same problem earlier with my new iPod classic 160 gb. Turns out it could be your files show in iTunes but they aren't connected to the location those music tracks are actually located.

You basically have to make sure iTunes is picking your songs from the right music folder via your preferences.
Option 1: If your iTunes is completely wiped blank and your music is stored in a safe place, backed up, etc. You can do the following:
Step A. Preferences > iTunes Media Folder Location > choose folder
**** please be sure to pick a location that is new or different from where you ACTUALLY stored your music to prevent your files from deleting itself as it updates****
For example, if you stored your music on your Desktop then you wouldn't choose your music folder to be the one in Desktop. You choose the folder where you want your music to go such as C:\My Music or in Mac, you choose the music folder.
Step B. Once you choose the folder where all your music is stored and you check the box that says "Keep iTunes Media Folder organized" and "Copy Files to iTunes Media when adding to library."
Step C. This is the part that will make sense. Drag the folder on desktop that houses all your music into iTunes. Because you checked the box "Copy Files to iTunes Media when adding to library," iTunes will copy all the backup music you dragged into the folder location you designated it in "Preferences > iTunes Media Folder Location > choose folder."
---- once all that is done, your itunes will have ALL your music tracks linked to the right location on your computer and your iPod will sync with as many or all of the music you desire.

or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

You have a printer question, not an AirPort question. No adjustments need to be made on the AirPort if wireless is working for other devices.
Check the documentation that came with your printer to see how to reset the device back to the original default settings it was using when it was new.
Then, configure the printer to connect to the "new" network....just like you did when you configured it to connect to the "old" network.
If you need more info, you need to contact support at the printer manufacturer. -

1) Without connecting your iPad to your laptop, start iTunes. Click on Edit. Click on Preferences. Click on Devices. Check the box next to "Prevent your iPod etc. from automatically syncing." Click OK.
2) Now connect your iPad to your laptop and start iTunes.
3) When iTunes starts, right click on your iPad under Devices in the left column. Select Transfer purchases etc.
4) After it finishes transferring all your apps to your new laptop, right click on your iPad and select Backup your iPad.
5) After it finishes backing up your iPad, right click on your iPad and select Restore etc.
6) After it finishes restoring, left click on your iPad , then click on the Apps tab on top, and check the box next to Sync Apps, then click on Apply below.
If everything on your iPad looks good after the sync, go back and click on Edit / Preferences / Devices and UN-check the box next to Prevent your iPod etc. The only other thing you may want to check is if your contacts, bookmarks, etc. are syncing correctly now. If not, go to the Info tab after connecting and make sure you indicate which features you want to sync with what sources.
That should do it. -
Hi.. My internet and wifi are working on samsung phone and hp laptop but its not getting connected to iphone ipad, only skype is coming online rest all apps and safari show no internet connection. Got new linksys router WRT160NL , but situation same. Tried reboot, renew lease, forget network, reset network setting. Pls advice
Have you tried a simple reset of your iPod to see if that helps? To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
Otherwise, have you tried any of the troubleshooting mentioned in this Apple support document?

Why can't I connect to a new wifi? When I click on the wifi account it takes me to the IP Address page not the password page.
Contact Rhapsody to see if they have or plan to release an update for the app. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Have you tried resetting your device by pressing and holding the Home button and power button until the silver apple appears?

I purchased Huawei Dongle and trying to connect with my new MacBook Pro (OS- Mountain Lion) USB port 3.0 but unfortunately it does not support.
When I plugged in my macbook the power is flowing in dongle due green light blinking twice in every 3 sec but no connection found or diver shown.
Please let me know how I have to use it. I got some suggestion for USB hub 2.0 but It does not make any sense and driver installation.
So please suggest proper direction to use it and provide link to install any driver.

Tauheed AhmadYes Clinton I did same, but they were (Huawei customer support) surprised about this problem, They behave like they have no idea about USB 2.0 and 3.0 knowledge. They handsUp that reason I posted my problem in this forum.
So is there any better solution to use any mediator between these USB version handling, Please let me know.

Motherboard failed with no itunes library backup on harddrive. I put the HD in a USB adaptor and have connected to a newer PC. Is it possible to move my library onto the new PC.

Connecting G4 to new Samsung 40" LCD
my wife is bedridden and wants to use my old G4 (10.3.9) with dual 1.2 Ghz processors, Bus speed 100 Mhz, & 20" NVDA Display B. I was think of putting the screen on a hospital bed tray & getting a large lap top desk (with bean bag) to put the keyboard & mouse on, but she wants to connect to her new TV about 10-12 feet away. It has 1360 x 768 @ 60Hz. It also has S-Video2, PC, HDMI 1 & HDMI 2 connections. Is this possible? I am worried that if I could connect, the printing would be too small (as she likes to surf the web and also stream radio shows). Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, George
IMac 17" Mac OS X (10.4.8) 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo & 1 GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAMDepending on your video card this can be quite easy. I currently have my MDD listed below hooked to a 23" older Cinema display through the ADC output. Then I have a 40" Samsung 4095DX (1920x1080) hooked to the DVI output of the same video card (currently Nvidia Geforce4 Titanium, though was ATI Radeon 9000 both work great), with a DVI to HDMI cable. There is some overscan but it doesn't bother me much using the Samy as a second monitor in extended desktop mode. Dont see why you couldn't use the Samy's VGA input as well (its probably less fussy). I played around with "Switchresx" trying to get rid of the overscan but its way too complicated. See this thread over on the AVS forum to learn more about Switchresx as well as the ins and outs of going DVI-I to HDMI (you will need to quit your day job to figure this stuff out, fun though);

AppleTV 3 only showing Apple logo when connected to very new Panasonic plasma - worked Ok with older Panasonic (2007) - have reset AppleTV, tried 3 HDMI cables.
Tried again as you suggested - no luck. Ref sequence below
A. Pressed menu & down to reset Apple TV
B after reset & restart pressed menu & up buttons to change resolution. After pressing both buttons for 6 sec, LED starts flashing - released both buttons. TV screen blank. After 20 to 30 sec horizontal lines came on screen remained for 20 sec then screen again went blank. Waited for couple minutes. LED still flashing - pressed Menu button for 2/3 sec - flashing stopped & LED glows continuously. Screen blank
C. Reset the unit again by pressing menu & down. When it restarted - while LED was still flashing, got orange color screen with Apple logo in the middle. This screen remained till LED stopped flashing & then screen went blank -
