Connection to Airport has gone haywire since upgrade to 10.6.7

I've been searching the web for five days not to come to solution with my problem. Many users reports the same problem and so far i haven't seen anybody come up with something that works to fix this.
Since i upgraded to 10.6.7 my WIFI hasen't work at all or just for a few minutes. Afters suggestions from another user i downgraded the firmware on my Airport to 7.4.2 and the WIFI was working a little bit better for a moment, but then back to normal. I've trashed preference files and zapped PRAM. Still no luck.
We have 2 MBP and both stopped working over WIFI the moment we upgraded them. All other devices work fine over WIFI, like the iPhones, PS3, Wii etc.
Here's a short clip the log from the Airport Utility and the WIFI connection:

Help surely is appreciated.

Here's what I did to get mine to work again:
System Preferences-Network-
Highlighted 'airport', then in the right hand side clicked 'advanced'
Under 'Airport' I deleted all preferred networks.
Under 'TCP/IP' I turned off 'configure IPv6'
Under "Proxies" I deleted everything in the box that says 'Bypass proxy settings for these Hosts and Domains'.
I hit OK or Apply, and all of a sudden everything worked again.  I don't know why I did half of what I did, but something worked.

  • Hi!  My "Touch" has gone haywire since a botched up date.  The colour has gone from my music menu Page (eg "songs", "artists2 etc. and my Touch will now not shuffle my tracks so I have to move on manually.  Help please.

An update to my Touch went haywire and I lost my music and apps but luckily I had subscribed to i Cloud and they were reinstated but my music contents page - "artists", "songs" etc. no longer has any colour and the shuffle will not work.  Help please?

Yes, the color has been deleted iOS 6.
You have tried turingin on shuffle, right?
    Try:
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

  • TS3048 My wireless apple keyboard for my Imac has gone haywire.

The wireless keyboard for my iMac has gone haywire. The signal to the computer appears to be corrupted. When I turn it on it automatically fills in all the spaces in the box where I am supposed to type in my password at startup in order to complete booting up. It will not allow me to erase any of the letters to properly type in the password, but repaetedly fills in the spaces to capacity. It will also affect & turn on the audio volume & just goes mad until I turn it off when the computer returns to normal - although of course this means that I am unable to log in to access anything. Tried changing the keyboard batteries but no different. Any thoughts please??

  • Reinstalled my router and now Airport has gone inactive and will not reconnect

Reinstalled my Linksys router and now Airport has gone inactive and will not reconnect. What am doing wrong?

How did you reinstall the router? Do you mean updated the firmware on the router?  Did you change the router settings and if so, what changes did you make?  Did you make associated changes in the AirPort card in your iMac?

  • Connectivity Issue: "Airport has a self-assigned ip address..."

I've been using the same wireless network via AT&T with their own wireless modem/router that they provided for the past six months. Never had an issue EVER. Now....suddenly, it says "Airport has a self-assigned ip address and may not be able to connect to the internet."
OK. I jumped on my girlfriends IBM, it and all the other PC computers in our house work FINE. I can also directly connect to the router via an ethernet cable and connect FINE.
So I open up the router settings in my browser and notice that the IP address the router says my computer has is 192.168.1.100. This is not the IP address my network settings displays when I get a DHCP lease. So... I select "manually" instead of "automatically via DHCP" and type in the IP address the router seems to think my computer is. Now in the "show network status window" it says that "Airport is connected to the network" but I still can't connect to the internet.
This is driving me completely bat **** crazy. Nothing has been changed in the wireless settings on my computer, any other computer in the house, or the router itself. This seems to have happened randomly, after searching all over the internet I can't find any solution that works for me. anyone know what's up?

As you may have gathered, this message appears when the computer has failed to obtain an IP number from the router using DHCP, so it self-assigns a fallback number which, since the router doesn't know it, prevents connection to the internet.
The obvious first step is to turn everything off, and then boot the router and each of the computers, one at a time, so that each should get a new DHCP lease. All the IP numbers should be issued and obtained automatically.

  • Sounds have gone missing since upgrading to ios7

I have noticed that most of the custom sound files and ring tones that I had available and was using on my iphone 5 have since dissappeared since upgrading to IOS7.   They were available on the list of sounds that appear in "settings>sounds" but they are just no longer listed there.  Some of the sounds do appear when I do a search on iphone but they no longer appear in the list of sounds I can select for different events and people.
Why has this happened and is there a fix?
I can't believe an apple update would cause a problem like this, but its happened.
    Thanks.

    Problem solved!

  • Bluetooth pane has gone missing since update from 10.10.2 to 10.10.3 on iMac mid 2007

I have a iMac mid 2007 model. I was running os x 10.10.2 with no problems. I update to os x 10.10.3 for the security issue. Now my bluetooth pane has gone missing from system preferences. I have tried everything suggested in suggested in support as it seems others have suffered the same thing on different macs. Nothing has that was suggested there has corrected this issue. Does anyone have any ideas apart from using a wired mouse and keyboard or using time machine to revert to os x 10.10.2? Let me know please.
Also booting up is slow to say the least, I can live with that though unless there is an as yet unknown by me fix.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
    Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Please take this step regardless of the results of Step 1.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.
