Connection to Https websites lost

I have been using an airport extreme b,g base station for quite a while and everything worked fine. This is my setup:
Cable Modem - AE BS - Switch - Computers and VOIP Phone
WDS with and Airport express in the living room connected to speakers.
I replaced the AE with a new AE N and everything seem to work fine. I plugged in a usb disk worked great. My VOIP phone works fine, the Airport express everything is good. Except for one weird occurance.
I could not get to certain websites. My family began to notice that we would get "can't connect to server errors" on websites like. Godaddy, American Express, and certain other banking and credit card sites, with the exception of GoDaddy the rest seem to be sites that run https. This is the only correlation I could make.
I checked all of the settings but couldn't find anything obvious that would indicate why this was happening. I was running in b,g,n mode with WPA2. I should also point out that we were trying to connect via ethernet. I also tried over the wireless but got the same results.
I have since reconnected my old AE and we are connecting fine to all of these sites.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Am I setting something incorrectly?
Thanks,
Christopher

I'm having exactly the same problems with the previous AirPort Extreme Base Station (not the new n-model). Approximately three weeks ago I could no longer connect to americanexpress.com or to Godaddy or their mail servers. About a week ago the Godaddy sites started working again, but the American Express sites are still not working.
My current setup:
- AE Base Station connected to Time Warner cable modem
- Three Airport Express units - two connected to speakers, and one set up with WDS to provide Ethernet access to computer (PowerMac G5), which is in a separate room from cable modem
- I also have an Airport card in my G5 to connect directly to the wireless network (but that doesn't solve any of my problems)
I have tried resetting all the units, and have also tried running the network with all the Airport Express units turned off, none of which as allowed me to access American Express.
I have the exact same problems with my work-issued Windows 2000 laptop when logged in to the wireless network. When I plug a computer directly in to the cable modem, I have no problem accessing any of the sites.

  • Connection to server broken: non-chunked HTTP read lost connection

A java applet popped this up on my screen, no idea where to look on my machine - it's only the second time its happened in many weeks but I would like to be able to interact with the cause.
Java was installed from Sun's download in June 2006 on Windows Adv. Server. MS auto update and defender currently active.

some program is trying to get some update from its server and so it is trying to connect to its server but either you don't have internet connection or it can have low speed, because of this reason some program show this error "Connection to server broken: non-chunked HTTP read lost connection". so you have to stop the scheduling of that program.

    import java.io.*;

  • How can I query a https website used to display the status of an application using Powershell?

Need assistance on querying the status of an application using Powershell. The status of the application is displayed in a https website. I want to receive a notification when one of the listed applications fails.
Below is an example the failures I need to capture.
    h-t-t-p-::://xpps2.xxcom/ssol/sSOLStatus.asp?autorun
    SSOL Status
    Current App Server: xpps2.xx.com

    DB2 Server Details:

    Mitem Server Status: PASS
    Web Service Details:

thats where you are going to check what it is supposed to be.
lets say your page shows as SSOL Status : running  you
probably want to use "if($totalstrng.ToLower().contains("ssqlL status
    : running"))". its
checking if the html page contains the string you are looking for.
you might want to print $totalstrng
and see what you need to look for.
    usign XMLHttp
or XML object  as mentioned by JRV might be easier and faster way.

  • Syncing photos via iTunes - getting new error message" "the iphone could not be synced because the connection to iphone was lost"

I am trying to sync photos in a dedicated file on my desktop with the photo library on my iPhone 4S.  Something I have done many times before.
Since upgrading to iTunes 11 I get this message "the iphone could not be synced because the connection to iphone was lost" midway through the sync.  I do not understand this as I am syncing via the USB lead, so how can the connection be lost?
Bascially I just want to update the photos on my iPhone with new photos I have added to the file I use on my computer.
Any help or ideas would be gratefully received.  Thanks.

    This may help you

when i change slide mirroring from off to on ,my new i pad lost wi fi connection and apple tv lost wifi connection:ihave last software for both. Can u help me?thanks.
when i use i pad with apple tv for see my photo, youtube and movies all ok.

I suspect that the problem is in your router. Do NOT consider your router to be blameless if some other devices seem to work with it.
Try restarting your WiFi router by removing power for 30 seconds. Don't just turn it Off. On many routers that doesn't really do anything but put the router into standby mode. If that does not help check for a firmware update for your router. If none exists which corrects the problem consider replacing the router.
There is a chance that some services turned on in your router could be causing problems. Look for a setting called QoS (Quality of Service). If ON turn it OFF.
If you need more help please give the make, model, and version of your WiFi router and how you have it configured.

  • Safari 5.1.5 connects to https but not to http

    1. The changes to your configuration suggested here should be considered provisional; they may not solve your problem, or they may remove functionality that you find useful. If a third-party system modification that you want to keep is causing the problem, seek help from its developer.
    2. WARNING: Back up all data now if you haven’t already done so. Before proceeding, you must be sure you can restore your system to its present state, even if it becomes unbootable. If you’re not sure you can do that, STOP — DON’T CHANGE ANYTHING. If you’re dissatisfied with the results of the procedure suggested below, restore from your backup. I will not be responsible for the consequences, and I will not be able to help, if you ignore this warning.
    3. You should either remove or update the following system modification(s), if an update is available from the developer:
    N/A
and definitely remove at least the following:
    † Symantec Internet Security
    † Trend Micro Security
    4. Whatever you remove must be removed completely, and (unless otherwise specified in this message) the only way to do that is to use the uninstallation tool, if any, provided by the third-party developers, or to follow their instructions. In some cases it may be necessary to re-download or even reinstall the software in order to get rid of it. I can't be more specific, because I don't install such things myself. Please do your own research.
Here are some general guidelines to get you started. Suppose you want to remove something called “BrickYourMac.” First, consult the product's Help menu, if there is one, for instructions. Finding none there, look on the developer's website, say www.brickyourmac.com. (That may not be the actual name of the site; if necessary, search the web for the product name.) If you don’t find anything on the website or in your search, email the developer. While you're waiting for a response, download BrickYourMac.dmg and open it. There may be an application in there such as “Uninstall BrickYourMac.” If not, open “BrickYourMac.pkg” and look for an Uninstall button.
Again, please don't ask me to do this research for you. You can do it better than I can, because I haven't installed the product and I may not even know what it is.
If you can’t remove software in any other way, you’ll have to erase your boot volume and perform a clean reinstallation of OS X. Never install any third-party software unless you're sure you know how to uninstall it; otherwise you may create problems that are very hard to solve.
WARNING: Trying to remove complex system modifications by hunting for files by name often will not work and may make the problem worse. The same goes for "utilities" that purport to remove software.
    5. I recommend that you never reinstall the modifications marked with a dagger (†) above, if any. If your problem is resolved after uninstalling all the above modifications and rebooting, but you still want to use some of those not marked with a dagger, you can experiment with putting them back, one at a time, testing carefully after each step. Keep in mind that system modifications may be incompatible with each other or with future OS X updates, so it may not be clear which one is at fault.
    6. If you still have problems after making the suggested changes and rebooting, post again. Remember: if you don’t like the results of this procedure, you can undo it by restoring from the last backup you made before you started.

  • [SOLVED] X server doesn't start correctly: Connection to X server lost

I was trying to configure wine on my x64 system and suddenly X shutted down. There is nothing helpful in xinit output, only line "xinit: connection to X server lost". I've got nVidia GeForce 9800 GT, and i'm using nvidia driver. I tried using nouveau, nv and completely reinstalling system from scratch, but nothing helped, I still get the same error.
    Here is my /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-monitor : http://paste.pocoo.org/show/297106/

    Please, help.

After some experimentation I've found that I can start X as root.
Here is Xorg.log as i run X as root: http://paste.pocoo.org/show/299430/
And here is Xorg.log as i run X as normal user: http://paste.pocoo.org/show/299431/
The only difference that i can see is "Power Button: Close" when running as normal user. I think that there could be some relation to recent udev update.
    Any ideas?

  • Hi. I have temporarily moved away from home. I am using a different internet connection, and I have lost my bookmarks. How do I get them back?

Hi. I have temporarily moved away from home. I am using a different internet connection, and I have lost my bookmarks. How do I get them back?

Generally speaking, your bookmarks are private to your computer, and if you set up multiple Firefox profiles on your computer, to the one profile.
Your bookmarks might be available to you at another location if you used the Sync service. In order to connect a new computer to the Sync service when you aren't near your old computer, you need a recovery key. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/share-bookmarks-tabs-and-more-your-other-computers#w_what-if-im-not-near-my-first-computer
If you didn't use Sync or can't access your account, someone with access to your old computer could email you your bookmarks. Since there is a range of different ways to do that and the best choice might depend on what you can expect the person you ask to be able to do... could they start up Firefox in your profile and follow menu steps to export a file? Could they drill down into a hidden folder on the system, zip a file, and mail that to you? Etc.
