Connection to licence server not authenticated

Hello,
I have made a backup of a SBO database in SQL Server 2000 and restored this over an existing database in SQL Server 2005. Made a backup of this one and then opened SBO and updated the administration.
Unfortunately I get the system message (after entering username and password) once updated: Connection to licence server not authenticated
The administration from the client is in SBO2005A SP01 PL41 and mine is SBO2007A.
How can I get around this. The other administrations I can access..

You could not use a 2005 client on a 2007 Server
Or Upgrade 2005 Patch 41 to 2007

SAP Client, SAP Server and SAP Service Manager are running on my local computer.
Service Manager and Licenze Server are running.
Try to login as manger to a client database in SAP B1.
The login fails with error message "Connection to Licence Server is not authenticated" ("Verbindung zu Lizenz Server ist nicht authentifiziert!").
Login to other client databases installed in the same system without any problem.

Hi Frank,
Does the database name contain a '&' sign? If it does, could you please try restoring the database with a name that does not contain the '&' sign.
When the database name is forwarded to the licence service in an XML format and there are certain characters which are not allowed to be in an XML: > < & ' " \
The database name must not include such characters and this is what causes the error message you are receiving.
In order to solve this issue, please follow the steps below:
1. Detach DB, check datafile.mdf and logfile_log.log for special signs. If necessary rename.
2. Attach it again. Make sure no special sign e.g. like "&" are used for the name of DB as well

8.8 Connection with licence Server failed

Hi Experts,
   I upgraded my database with version 8.8 . I also got the new licences for it and i imported it too at server.
Now when i try to get connect with the server it will give the error that' connection with licence server failed'. I tried with the server name and with server ip in licence server selection but it did'nt help me .

This following solution to use in the resolving of your problem is from SAP note :
   1. First locate the IP address as follows:
         1. Select "START"
         2. Choose "Run" and type in "command" in the "Open" field
         3. A black window appears
         4. Wait until the command "C:\>" is visible
         5. Write the word "PING" and then type in the Server name and press "Enter" and the line with your IP Address appears (it says "Reply from IP ADDRESS").

I have a 5th generation iPod touch that is suddenly "unable to connect to the server", not entirely sure what this means but I'm unable to connect to the internet even though I'm connected to Wifi. Can't connect to iTunes on my pc either. Any input?

I have a 16GB iPod touch that suddenly stopped connecting to the internet last night. Everytime I try to get mail, or access anything with Safari I get a message saying that it can't connect to the server. Also I've plugged it in to my home computer but it won't connect to iTunes either. I haven't updated to iOS8 yet as I didn't have enough space for it and I had planned on deleting all my music files, updating the software and putting whatever music I could fit back on to the device afterward, but now I'm hesitant to do that as I have no way to get any of the files back onto the device. Could this be because I haven't updated to iOS8 yet? I've been having other problems such as apps crashing unexpectedly lately as well, for example my music shuts off randomly and apps such as Twitter and Tumblr and a few others crash on launch. I'm definitely not a genius when it comes to technology by any means, so I have no idea what's causing this problem or how to fix it, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

Help! Was using my iPad yesterday set it down for 10 minutes and all of a sudden received "server not responding" and "Cannot verify server" error messages. Cannot open/connect to iTunes to update software. Wifi is working with strong signal. OVI Suite not connecting to map server - NOT SOLVE...

Because this /t5/Nokia-Ovi-Suite/OVI-Suite-not-connecting-to-map-server/td-p/708275 discussion has been marked as solved and it's not. I wonder when we'll have any feedback from Nokia Support? It must be the new Nokia Ovi Suite causing the problem because we all have the same problems. I have tried on three different computers with good stable internet connections and get the "connection timed out" error on all of them. Using Nokia 5230 and have tried both on XP and Vista.

This seems to be working now. I tried today to download US maps and it completed and installed without any issues. Guess there was some problem with the map server.

Server 2012 NPS Server not authenticating IKEv2 requests

Hello Experts,I am having a weird problem regarding NPS Server when I upgraded my vpn servers from server 2008 R2 to Server 2012 R2. Actually in my infrasturcture I have a Windows 2008 R2 based AD and in its domain I have an NPS server joined as member server. This NPS server is based on server 2012 R2, when I upgraded my VPN servers from server 2008 R2 to server 2012 R2 the IKEv2 stops working every other protocols works on windows 7 when I try to connect using IKEv2 it hangs at verifying username and password nad when I tested IKEv2 in Win 8 it says IKE authentication credentials are unacceptable, inspite that my server certificate is valid EKU compatible. When I connected IKEv2 via my other server whose server 2008 R2 based VPN Server The IKEv2 works like a charm without any issues successfully authenticating. The problem seems to...

Indeed the 255.255.255.255 subnet mask is expected for non-compliant clients.
But my issue is that non-compliant clients get an IP address from the entire subnet and i want to assign only a specific
range in my entire subnet/scope to be assigned to non-compliant clients.
It's funny you can specify an IP Address Range in the DHCP policy but then it doesnt work.
On the other hand you have a valid point there Greg about DNS/DHCP flooding.
Still hope to hear why this setup will not work and if it is supported or can work tough :-)

HT1766 I'm trying to update my first Ipad (versions 4.2.1). Device is recognised by the computer. Advise to upgrade to 5.1x given but then followed by the message that device is not connected to internet. Connection with upgrade server not possible.

Whilst connected to the internet (reading news and sending messages) I cannot upgrade my Ipad with an error message that my device is not connected to internet. Update server can not be reached?

'Safari can't connect to the server' - not sure why?

I've tried looking up past similar questions ( https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3245104 ) but I've been going round in circles a bit so thought I'd try my own post.
My Macbook looks like it's connected to the internet but when I open Safari it says 'Safari can't open the page 'hhtp://www..google.co.uk/' because Safari can't conect to the server www.google.co.uk' and no other web sites will open.
I'm on an old pc at the moment which is working fine and having no problems connecting to the internet, so it seems like just a problem with my macbook.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If any more information helps, it's connected through Airport but won't open web pages. When I try using the ethernet it says 'ethernet has a self assigned IP address and will not be able to connect to the internet.'
Any ideas anyone?

Connection to Licence Server Failed

I installed SAP B1 2005A SP01 PL22 on a vista machine succesfully but I am now unable to connect to the License Server. When I switch off the Firewall on the License Server I can connect succesfully, but unfortunately I am not allowed to switch off the firewall for other security reasons. My question now is; What do I need to add to the exeptions in Firewall settings to allow the connection to the License server? I have added the port 300000 but that doesnt do the trick. SAP B1 is in the exeptions and so is Server Manager. Does anyone know if there is a specific exeption I need to add for this? Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

The Firewall definately has an effect with this issue, because when I switch it off it works but when its on it doesnt. The port I added is in fact 30000. But doesnt work. Also, it doesnt have anything to do with Vista, because when I connect my XP machine I have exactly the same problem when connecting. What does SQL Browser have to do with this issue? It is started though, but doesnt have any affect.

TcpIP connection to remote server not closing after each call.

using urlconnection to connect to a remote server does not close tcp connection after use. Any ideas on how to force this closed.
This inturn causes subsequent calls to the remoteserver to use the existing tcp connections, slowing down the over <br>all connections because the remote server is not able to handle multiple requests using the same connection.
We are using a unix box running solaris 8.0 I believe and the <br>connection to the remote server is done over a dedicated line.
Here is what the code looks like. I believe I am doing all that I can to force the stream objects closed so that there is no lingering connections. Is there anything that I can do from a code perspective to assure that after each transaction all stream objects are dropped and closed so that the tcp connections close. Also, could there be other reasons why these connections stay open.

This is an issue with the browser rather than Java.
You are getting the same response, because the browser checks it's cache first and keeps serving up the same info from the cache.
Add a parameter to the URL so that the browser thinks you are submitting a form. Use the new methods in the URLConnection class, or you can manually add a GET parameter to the URL.

Brand new Open Directory server not authenticating 10.9, 3.3.2

I'm hoping somebody here has ran into this as it's driving me up a wall.
I'm on a completely clean install of OS X Mavericks, with the installation from the App Store.
On top of that, a completely clean install of Server.app 3.2.2 is installed.
This server has a FQDN, and when I check to see if the hostname resolves in DNS, it totally does. DNS is not turned on as a service, but DNS server settings are correct and the server can hit the outside internet just fine.
So my steps are as follows: Install Mavericks, clean onto a new partition. Update with all patches. Set Static IP. Install Server 3.2.2 which installs without error. Check hostname settings. All good there. Verify permissions. Create OD Master. I cannot get a single newly created with Server.app Local Network user to log in, even with home folders all 100% local to the client machine. I've unbound and rebound the client machine. I've restarted everything. Nothing.
When attempting to log in, if I set it to reset password at next login, the prompt to reset the password will appear. I know at least initial auth is taking place, or I wouldn't be getting a password reset screen. After attempting to reset the password, neither the original temporary nor reset password will work. Users cannot log in.
Here are the errors generated, with my info edited out:

I understand this is common for users upgrading from 10.6.8 but this is completely clean. I'm not usually administering an OS X server; I'm completely lost.
Have tried: Recreating master, rekerberizing
Using scutil and host to verify the DNS on the server works perfectly. Am I missing something small with DNS? We are a fairly large org with DNS not being provided by this server. If you think a different log file would help, please let me know which one.

What do you get from this:
sudo /usr/libexec/slapd -Tt
Anything in /Library/Logs/slapconfig.log?

BT SMTP server not authenticating

Hi all,
I have tried all avenues I can think of, including looking all over these forums and trying everything people have suggested but with no luck.
Since yesterday afternoon an email account has stopped sending emails (receiving is fine), no settings were changed. I keep on getting prompted for user name and password for the mail.btinternet.com mail server. I get this problem in both outlook and outlook express (for testing) and also I cannot send emails via the ipad either. I have tried speaking to the BT support but they didn’t offer any help as we are using mail clients and not their web mail.
SMTP settings are: Port = 25 none SSL, Authenticate using same as POP3 log on
I have tried port 465 with ssl and 587, the lot.
I have notcied this does work on 1 other computer I have been testing on, just to add to the confusion!! Any help or suggestions would be great!

My problem is now resolved. In the end i restarted the router. The only thing I can assume is there is a stuck session on BTs STMP servers after restarting the router I got a new public IP.
BT support was as usual, a waste of time and no help what so ever. Clearly a problem on their side but out right refused to help.
Im not sure this will help your problem if you cannot send via BT webmail, this was never a problem for me.

WebSphere jars required for JNDI connection factory (App server, not file)

I need to configure an initial context to a JNDI-defined WebSphere Topic Connection Factory. I believe the class needed is "com.ibm.websphere.naming.WsnInitialContextFactory", but I cannot determine the specific jars required to successfully execute the connection.

"peer not authenticated" - Connecting to ORDS with SQL Developer

Background
Configuring ORDS (2.0.7) to my database, with APEX_LISTENER and APEX_REST_PUBLIC_USER created via APEX 4.2.2 script.
Listener is running as expected - and APEX works as expected.
ORDS credential setup (as made evident by the credentials file with the user name inside)
Addition of the line to the ords/default.xml: <entry key="security.verifySSL">false</entry>
To allow connection without using SSL.
Current Status
I am able to connect using SQL Developer "Restful Data Services" feature using the "HTTP" connection and the credentials that have been setup successfully.
Problem
Attempting to configure a SQL Developer (4.0.2.15) connection using the same account, but HTTPS with 443 - the connection results in the error message:
Authentication Failure
Cannot connect to S42
peer not authenticated
Additional
I am using an installation of Tomcat and a version of Glassfish to test this feature. I have received the same error on both test cases.
I have also tested by removing the <entry key="security.verifySSL">false</entry>
Is there a specific type of HTTPS certificate that is required to connect using HTTPS?
Did I miss a different setting?
