Connection to service sapdb99 timed out

We want to do a rf-connection to sap to get the newest patches in solution manager.
We already created the s-user but cannot proceed because of the error mentioned above.
Any idea anyone? (Do we need the saprouter or is the firewall misconfigured?)

Update the RFCs and change the msg. server string with sapdp99 (not db).

It seems the IP which is registered in SAP is 204.103.218.70 as host.Have you change the host of saprouter recently.
Check your SAProuter configuration.
At the same time check the saprouttab
Make the following changes in the hosts file and services file (under windows\system32\drivers\etc folder ) SAP-ROUTER system

Sapgui error service sapdp00 timed out

Hi,
I am getting Sapgui error " connection to host ....,service sapdp00 timed out" when connecting to a remote sap system over internet. Earlier i could connect to the system without any problems. I am connecting to Internet thru a wireless network-cable connection & firewall is disabled. Recenly i configured home network(workgroup configuration) for file sharing with another system, after this configuration Sapgui is giving this error. I tried different ways but in vain. Can anybody help me regarding this.

Firt my apologizes if this is not the corresponding forum to post this error. I didn't know where i should post it.
When i try connect through sap logon i have this error:
Connection to host XXXXX service sapdp01 timed out.
In services file (windows/system32/drivers) I have the input
sapmsS01 3601/tcp and in SAPMSG.INI in windows i have
S01=XXXXX (the server)
If someone have had this problem any time please help me!

In SAPGUI, I have an entry for MBD pointing to IP 172.17.20.38
I can ping that succesfully
If I add "sapmsMBD 3601/tcp" to my services file, then I get the error
Connection to host 192.168.120.157, service sapdp01 timed out
Now, as far as I am told by basis, the 192.168... address is another IP address for the same server.
I am not able to ping the 192.168... IP address ... could this be the problem?
Why would the portal be trying to use the 192.168... address instead of the internal address?

i have been observing this error number of times these days.
catalogue messages say "This probably indicates that the number of workstation clients that need to join the application can not be supported by the existing configuration"
how do i define a client?
I want to know diffrence between remote clients & native clients.As far as i know remote clients are WorkStation clients but what are native clients?
thr is billing application (Singl.eview 4.02) residing above tuxedo 7.1 & by Work station clients i mean all remote clients logging into the front-end of the billing application.
i run following script:

Hi Abhijit,
The message regarding time out is probably due to time limit defined for WSL in your UBBConfig file. Check whether in CLOPT parameter for WSL timeout value(with '-t' option) is defined or not? due to this timeout value, whenever any WS client will be in idle status more than the timelimit, will get disconnected with the warning message.
Native client is the client process which interact with Tuxedo services without using WSL, means that process should run on the same box. But a remote/WS client may reside on same as well as on remote box.

We are running on SAP XI 3.0 SP 21 Windows 2003 with Oracle 10.2.0.2. The problem is that some of the J2EE services cannot be started, at the startup phase, after respecful offline backup. Please find the error, below;

Consequently, because of those processes were timed out, XI cannot be started, successfully. As a workaround, I am restarting java servers, manually. So, anyone has a suggestion about this problem?

Ensure that the MaxThreadCount parameter is set to 350 as per note #937159 XI Adapter Engine is stuck. This will help the overall system performance.

Reg reboot issue - console message- svc:/network/iscsi/target:default: Method or service exit timed out

Hi,
When I reboot the system I am seeing this message on the console and system is not getting rebooted.
svc.startd[10]: svc:/network/iscsi/target:default: Method or service exit timed out. Killing contract 131.
can someone help me to solve this?

There are still a few issues with Solaris 11.1 and iSCSI LUN and rebooting. I know they are working on fixes.
A possible workaround is to use the reboot command and NOT the init command. At least when you use the reboot the command the system will reboot and not hang.
If this is not your problem then it may be a different problem.

Connection on default ports timed out

I administer an xserve that up until 3 days ago was sending and receiving email fine. After a user went over quota I adjusted their quota to allow them to remove emails as they were unable to modify any email at all. In the process of adjusting their quota I have broken something and now get "Connection on default ports timed out" error.
I am able to send using webmail but unable to receive from an external source

It's not surprising.
Your configuration includes:
inet_interfaces = localhost
This tells postfix to listen on localhost only. i.e. it won't listen on the network interfaces and accept mail from remote clients.
There may be other issues with the configuration, too, but that's the first one to fix.

My action is not taking more than 3 minutes, but still I am getting a java script alert saying "a connection to the server has failed.". I can give you once example where I am getting this alert, when I go down to the adf table results , and click on any row, most of the times the error is showing up.

I have got a broadband connection with a wireless modem and When I try to connect to my office via VPN from my laptop it connects, but after this when I try with SAP login, it refuses the login and displays a message "connection to host xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, service sap db00 timed out. Do you want to see the detailed error description?" (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the ip address of the office) When I say yes, it displays the following message.

But I could connect to the same SAP system with the same laptop through VPN using an unsecured wireless network at the vicinity of my office. Also my colleagues with the same settings could connect to the same SAP system from their homes.

Service sapdp80 timed out when starting GUI

Clients of my company access our SAP server by VPN. One new client met a problem, they can access VPN, however, when they start SAP GUI, there comes an error"connection to host xx.xx.xx.xx, service sapdp80 request timed out", in its detail, "time: Fri...;component NI; Release 640; Version 37; Module nixxi_r.cpp;line 1070;Method NiPconnect;Return code 12;Counter 1".
And its so weird that all other clients are ok with both VPN connection and SAP GUI log on. I searched SAP note for this error but found no result, and I came here for your precious working experience. Has anyone met this error before?

Yes it's the connecting problem. Are you able to phisicaly see the client PC , and check the VPN and TCP\IP settings? May be it's some firewall or antivirus software are installed on clients side. You need to analyse all, for example after VPN connection are established the "ipconfig /all" should show parameters with which user has got in your network to. Regards.

Katrina, yes those are the instructions I used. I just executed the steps outlined three additional times (meticulously) and the issue I have is, at step 14, after restart, I do not receive the "Windows has blocked startup programs" message... System starts "normally", when I attempt to run iTunes I am informed that iTunes needs to repair software required to communicate with iPods and iPhones... Whether I choose to allow iTunes to restore these services or not, the outcome remains the same, "connection timed out" at iTunes store. Cannot download podcasts, cannot access internet through Quicktime either... Other than that Firefox works just fine.
