HI ,
This is our scenario. We have a ecc 6.0 system we are trying to get that system into sld which is running on host that has only java stack netweaver 2004s.In the process of getting the system into our sld.We have trying to configure these four RFC's
SLD_UC
SLD_NUC
LCRSAPRFC
SAPSLDAPI
when we are testing SLD_UC and SLD_NUC they are working fine. But the other two are not working.
The error log for the other two is shown below.

Hi,
Normally the problem is with the program ID does not match with the one in the PI integration server, or the host and the gateway is not pointing to your PI server.
PI server
1. Go to your PI integration server transaction SMGW
2. Goto -> Logged on client
3. Click on column TP name and sort it accordingly.
4. Check the correct program ID registered over there
Back End system
1. Go to your back end system transaction SM59
2. Match your program ID in your back end RFC destination with the program ID registered in PI gateway.
3. Make sure the host and the gateway name of the PI server in RFC destination is populated correctly.
It did happen to me before, and this is the way to solve it. I am sure it works for you too.

  • Integration Engine does not connect with SLD

    Hi all,
We have an XI 3.0 system that acts as QUA system in our track. This XI 3.0 system is connected to a central SLD installed on a PI 7.1 system that acts as our DEV system.
Everything seems to be OK in the Java part. We refresh the caches successfully and enter the SLD in DEV system.
We have a problem, though with the SXI_CACHE transaction. It shows the following message:
"Unable to refresh cache contents.Error during last attempt to refresh cache"
And the detail of the error is: "LCR_GET_OWN_BUSINESS_SYSTEM - NO_BUSINESS_SYSTEM"
We have checked in the SLD and the Business system is created.
In transaction SXMB_ADM when checking the Integration Engine connection with SLD we get the following error: "No access to system landscape at present"
In the Runtime Workbench of the system, when checking the Cache Connection, the Integration Engine part shows a warning. In the RWB also the Self Status Check of the Integration Engine gives errors:
"Are roles in SXMS_CONF_ITEMS and SLD consistent?"
We have already followed all the post installation guides, and the cache checks, and SLD checks guides.
Do you know which the soltion could be for our error??
    Thanks!

    Hello,
When I test connection for SLD in content administrator (web dynpro), I get
Connection to SLD could not be opened successfully.
And when I open a web dynpro that uses RFC I get an exception.

    Hi Tony,
Configure your SLD and then create the JCO Destinations.

  • Where do I configure Adapter Framework connection to SLD?

    Hi.
It looks like my AF can not read data from SLD. JPR complains that usename/password is invalid and File adapter simply states SLD can not be reached.
Where do I find logs for SLD, to check what username passord is used? How do I change this username and password for AF?
    Sincerely,
    Evgeny.

I do not have any problem connecting to SLD from ABAP. It is Adapter Engine. If understand correctly it is J2EE.
    Sincerely,
    Evgeny.

  • Error Connecting to SLD, while CC integration with ECC 6.0

    Dear All,
I am using the CC v and from ECC IDES. I cannot connect to the SLD. It is giving an Error.
When I try to register the Server Programs in Vis Admin and click the SET button I am getting an error "Error Adding Bundles". In the ABAP part I am getting the same error of RFC connection.
Now from ECC when I do a SM59, and then goto TCP/IP connections, on creating this connections I cannot make them UNICODE as the R3 system is Non-Unicode. So these dont work.
What am I supposed to do.
Please let me know. This is very urgent and useful replies will be awarded full points.
    Thanks and Best Regards

Replying to this old post hoping for some answers.
We had researched this and converted to Integrated ITS using our ZCATW over a year ago. The notes read that while integrated ITS is a suppoted platform, ESS scenarios for which newer technology exists are no longer supported. We tested ZCATW under ECC5 and decided to move forward because of a pending technical upgrade. We are now in the middle of the technical upgrade and wishing to keep it technical we are trying to keep ZCATW going and then look at the newer components as a seperate project. Has anyone found a way to overcome the above issue in CATW/ECC6?
    Thanks,

  • PI 7.00 java components not connect to SLD

    Hi guys,
We have installed PI 7.00 and performed all the post installation
steps. SLD is with Solution Manager on one host and PI is installed on
    a different host.
SLDCHECK works fine, rfc connections are ok etc. However, the problem
is that in SLD under technical system "Exchange Infrastructure" there
is only Integration Server available. Moreover, RWB does not work and
also I cannot impost software component versions to IR from SLD.In ID
when I go to Environment --> Cache Notifications, I get the following
message "Unable to determine the name of the central Adapter Engine
from the System Landscape Directory at this time. Notifications to the
central Adapter Engine are therefore listed using the technical name of
the Adapter Engine. This is usually structured as follows: af.<SAP
    System ID>.<Name of application server>".
It seems that PI J2EE part does not communicate with SLD.
    Any ideas??
    Thank you.

Thanks to all guys. I will award points.
The problem was caused due to some PI users that were locked on the J2EE part of XI, and therefore they could not connect to the SLD. I unlocked them through VA 's, Security Provider service.

  • Connecting Two SLDs in r XI Landscape

    Hi Folks,
We have set up two SLDs for our XI landscape. One SLD for Development/QA and second one for Production. I have configured all the post install steps on XI Production System including SLD config steps.
I would like to know the steps for connecting both the SLDs.
I have seen number of Wlogs/forum discussions, but little bit confused on where to start. Due to shortage of time, please suggest right Wlog or any other documents which meets my requirements.
Your help in this regard would be highly appreciated.

  • JCo connection and  SLD

Greetings, we have a federated portal which is using JCo connections as part of the MSS/ESS business package. We had a situation where the SLD was down therefore the JCo connections were down. Our question is JCo connection completely dependent on SLD. In other words if SLD is down, will that mean our JCo connection will fail thus an outage.
If this is the case what is the best way to make sure SLD is highly available? Our options are to make SLD highly available or distribute SLD on each system.
Also, what is the performance hit on making SLD distributed on all Portal system if this the route we go?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
The distributed SLD servers can cause higher administration expense with regard to consistent data. Therefore, we recommend that you consider to use a single SLD server first.
but for large system landscapes that are distributed over different geographic locations, a single SLD server might slow down the performance of involved application systems. In this case, a distributed SLDserver installation can be taken into account.

    I have three queries
    1) In SLDCHECK the error i get is

Retrieving data from the SLD server...
Function call returned exception code     4

3)In RWB the component monitoring and other stuff when i try to open give and error
Communication from SLD failed:500 Internal server Error
    I went throught note 764176
    and did the following
    1. In the SLD editing interface, choose "Administration" -> "Content Maintenance". Select "XI Integration Server" from the drop-down menu, and navigate to the associations of the integration server. Select the "XI Integration Server Logical Identity" association and delete the association by choosing 'Remove'.
    2. Switch to "Home" in the "Technical Landscape" view, and select the "Exchange Infrastructure" technical system type there. Select all domains and XI components for the host and delete these by selecting them and pressing 'Remove'.
    3. Restart the J2EE server. After you restart the server, the XI components log on to the SLD again and create a new entity of class "XI Integration Server".
But after restart none were registered .. i also tried logging into Rep and Dir but these were not registered
    in "Technical Landscape" ->"Exchange Infrastructure"

check the SLDAPICUST is pointing to correct SLD,
check RFC destinations LCR*, SAPSLDAPI (check this names in the Intallation document once) are created and working fine.

  • Connection XI - SLD - Solution Manager

    Hi everybody,
I am facing the following problem.
The SLD is installed in the Solution Manager Host. Solution Manager was installed before XI
was installed. So, the managing of the SLD is carried out in the SLD of the Solution
manager. However I can only import the objects from the SLD to the Integration Builder if I
create the objects in the Local SLD of the XI. How can I connect the XI system with the SLD
of the Solution Manager? I have the same problem with proxys in R/3 (SLDAPICUST).
So, Do I have to create the objects in SLD XI Host or by means of Solution Manager???
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards.
    Carlos

Depends on your version of SAP...
I would say yes to be on the safe side...
PI7.0 creates these entries but does not use them.
XI3.0 does (i think upto a certain patch level...).
This is always a useful tool...

While importing software components from sld in repository i am getting an error message.

can anybody tell me the http port for sld.My instance no is 01

Usually SLD is located at http://<host>:5XX00/sld where XX is the instance number in this case 01... so the http port should be 50100

  • Standalone SMD Agent for EEM won't connect to SLD

I have installed a standalone SMD agent, which was configured properly (logs verify this) and starts up successfully, but I don't ever see it register in the SLD. Does anyone know of a guide which tells how to manage a standalone SMD agent? I want to get it connected to the SLD in Solution Manager so that I can use it as an EEM robot, but the connectivity so far is not working.
For instance, if there is a way to get something like SM59 in an ABAP system on my SMD agent to change and test connectivity parameters, this may help.
    Cheers,
    David.

OK, thanks for the reference to the troubleshooting guide, I had not seen that before. Using it, I found the following procedure:
How to check if the Diagnostics agent is registered in SLD?
␣ Go in SLD with the url: http://sldhostname:port/sld
␣ Logon with a J2EE user having the role SAP_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR
␣ Go in the section u2018Administrationu2019
    ␣ Click on link u2018Content Maintenanceu2019
␣ Select the subset u2018All with Instances and class u2018Diagnostics Agent Instanceu2019
If the class u2018Diagnostics Agent Instanceu2019 does not appear in drop down list, No Diagnostics agent is registered
␣ In column Name of table, check if the Diagnostics agent is present.
This procedure verified that my diagnostics agent is in fact in contact with the SLD, but for some reason, the agent does not show up in the SLD when I go to Home > Technical Systems, nor does it show up when I go to the EEM Administration screen > Robots > Check Agents.
So I'll have to keep researching.
    Cheers,
    David.

Once your SLD is configured, you need to Follow the below steps to check it:
    1) Run SLDCHECK, and see the log for any error.
u2022 Do the RFC connections SAPSLDAPI and LCRSAPRFC work?
u2022 Are the server access settings in transaction SLDAPICUST correct?
u2022 Is it possible to read data from the SLD and the Exchange Profile?
u2022 Does the Integration Server have a Business System defined?
    2) Run SXI_CACHE
    3) Check RFC Connections.
    1) INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI (HTTP connection, use the XIISUSER to authenticate). Is the
Path Prefix set to u201C/dir/CacheRefreshu201D as recommended since SP1 of XI 3.0?
Note that a HTTP 500 response is a successful test for this connection.
The connections SAPSLDAPI and LCRSAPRFC have already been checked with transaction SLDCHECK.
    2) AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER (TCP/IP connection)
    4) Testing the connectivity between Integration Repository and SLD
Start the Integration Repository as described in the previous chapter. Go Toolsu2019 -> u2018Transfer from System
    Landscape Directoryu2019 -> u2018Import Software Component Versionsu2019
This test is successful if you can see a list of Software Component Versions.
    5) Testing the connectivity between Integration Directory and
    Integration Repository
Start the Integration Directory as described in chapter 2.5. Go to u2018Toolsu2019 -> u2018Transfer Integration Scenario
from Integration Repositoryu2019. Then use the F4-Help for the Field u2018Nameu2019.
