Connection to the Guest Profile using ISE...!!!

Hi,
I'm involved in the rollout for ISE. While trying to connect to the Guest profile using the browser, it gets connected to the Guest profile, after authenticating the credentials. But after some time, the connection gets disconnected automatically and this happens on and on, even if the client is not roaming.
And the second problem is that, when the client roams, it asks for the credentials again to get connected to the Guest profile. Is this the usual behaviour or are there any problems.?
It would be really helpful if someone could help me with this.

About the first problem, please check the "session timeout" timer in your ssid configuration. By default it's 30 minutes so every 30 minutes you would have to re-authenticate. In my deployments I configure this parameter to 12 hours to avoid this kind of problems
About the roaming issue, I think currently this is the normal behavior. I think with ISE 1.2 guest authentication will be improved. I will check on that.

I recently purchased a brand new Macbook Pro less than a week ago and I've never been able to connect it to the Internet on my log in. This is my first Mac and honestly I don't believe it was worth the price since I can not use the Internet on it. The only way I can use the Internet is if the computer is on the guest profile. When you try to install RDS role on server 2012 R2 using standard deployment, this issue may occur (Figure 1).

First of all, we need to verify the configurations as it suggested:
1. The server must be available by using Windows PowerShell remotely.
2. The server must be joined to a domain.
3. The server must be running at least Windows Server 2012 R2.
4. The currently logged on user must be a member of the local Administrators group on the server.
5. Remote Desktop Services connections must be enabled by using Group Policy.
In addition, we need to check if the “Windows Remote Management “service is running and related firewall exceptions have been created for WinRM listener.
To enabling PowerShell remoting, we can run this PowerShell command as administrator (Figure 2).

However, if issue persists, we need to check whether it has enough memory to work.
By default, remote shell allots only 150 MB of memory. If we have IIS or SharePoint App pool, 150 MB of memory is not sufficient to perform the remoting task. Therefore, we need to increase
the memory via the PowerShell command below:
Set-Item WSMan:\localhost\Shell\MaxMemoryPerShellMB 1000
Then, you need to restart the server and the issue should be resolved.

I tried to set up powershell remoting on a server and kept getting this error:

After a bit of troubleshooting I discovered that the problem was that the authentication packets was to big (over 16k), this will cause WinRM to reject the request. The reason for authentication packets getting too big can be because the user is member of very
many security groups or in my case because of the SidHistory attribute.
The solution was to increase the MaxFieldLength and MaxRequestBytes keys in the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\HTTP\Parameters
If the keys does not exists you can create them, be sure to use the DWORD type.
I sat MaxFieldLength to DEC value 40000 and MaxRequestBytes to DEC value 32768 and rebooted the server. Problem solved.

I currently use a Mac Pro 10.8.4 and have a time machine for wireless 6.3 (630.34). Sometimes I cannot connect to the internet and use network preferences to diagnose the issue. This results in being told to restart the wireless. The airport utility includes the drop down option of restarting but is not clickable so I can't choose it.
With my prior macbook and same time capsule, etc if i had problems connecting to the internet I would run network diagnostics to help out. This included clicking on the airport utility ---> base station --> restart. This worked most of the time.
Bottom line, is there something I am missing in not being able to restart the wi-fi remotely? ]

You are likely forgetting a step.
Open AirPort Utility
Click on the Time Capsule icon
Click Edit in the small window that appears
Now click the Base Station menu.....top of the screen....not the Base Station "tab" in the center of the screen
Click Restart

An iPhone will not pair via Bluetooth to a computer (Mac or Windows) except for personal hotspot and then only if your cellular plan supports it. https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-7722
If you are attempting to use Handoff/Continuity, that does involve Bluetooth but the devices are NOT paired; Bluetooth just needs to be on and the devices in range of each other. The following may help with Handoff/Continuity issues: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5458

Hi,
The "<cfexchangeConnection>" tag supports both "HTTP"
and "HTTPS" connection.. So Please make sure the username has the
"Outlook Web Access".
Also try removing the 
comment which you placed inside the "<cfexchangeConnection>"
tag.

Not those whole folders, but their contents, maybe.
If the user account now on the Mac has read rights to the user account(s) on the backups, yes. If not, you may have to do some finagling.
Try the Browse Other Backup Disks option, per Time Machine - Frequently Asked Question #17. If you find an account that can open those folders, restore what you want to an alternate location (#16 in the FAQ).
If not try creating one or more accounts temporarily.

Try the following:
1. Turn router off for 30 seconds and on again
2. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
3. Reset iPad; hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo

If you are installing on Windows, there is a limitation in the default configuration of TCPIP. I wrote about it, and included the steps to fix it, on my blog at http://timtows-hyperion-blog.blogspot.com/2007/12/essbase-api-error-fix-geeky.html.
Note the error number you reported is slightly different than what I write about in the blog, but I believe I have seen this error fixed by the blog steps..

Mac won't connect to the web without using a vpn...

I know...it doesn't make sense. I have been buying and using a vpn service, IPVanish, for 3 months now and I have always just had it turned on. But now I no longer use it because of payment issues and it not being that great and since then my computer can't connect to the internet without using some sort of vpn. I can use skype, my email, steam, really anything except my web browser. I go to start it up w/o being connected to a vpn and it wont load a webpage. Does anyone know what to do...if so please help!!

From the menu bar, select
 ▹ System Preferences ▹ Network
If the preference pane is locked, click the lock icon in the lower left corner and enter your password to unlock it. Then click the Advanced button and select the Proxies tab. If any proxy options are selected, make a note of them and then deselect them. You don’t need to change the bypass or FTP settings. Click OK and then Apply. Test. The result may be that you can't connect to any web server. Restore the previous settings if that happens.

I cant seem to connect to the guest network i created on the airport extreme.

i seem to have set the base station up ok, but setting up the guest network has me pulling my hair out, i have set this up on my mac however when i try to connect my ipad to the guest network it accepts the password but all i get is that pinwheel forever spinning and not actually connecting. also when i open airport utiliy and see the base station in the top left corner the button that says connected devices when clicked shows nothing, they are greyed out, however when i click on the base station i do see my ipad and iphone and mac.

Whethere or not the guest network feature will work correctly depends on what type of device is providing your Internet connection.
The Guest Network will work if you have a simple modem.
Unfortunately, most Internet Service Providers furnish a modem/router to their customers.....which will not allow the Guest Network feature to be activated correctly.
If you are not sure whether you have a modem or modem/router.....post back with the make and model number of the device that you call your "modem".
