Connection type of current session

Hello,
how can i determine during runtime (via code) whats the connection type (GUI, RFC, HTTP-Plugin etc) of the current session is?
cheers,
Markus

Hello Suresh,
Isnt FM "TH_GET_PLUGIN_INFO"  pretty much the same as FM "THUSRINFO" which gives me every sessions? I do not want to have a list of every session on the server, but just the connection type of the current one.
cheers,
Markus

  • SCCM 2012 Client (Connection Type: Currently Internet)

    Hi
I migrate SCCM 2007 to SCCM 2012 R2 on Windows 2012. (no problem)
I configure OSD to deploy Windows 7 SP1. When i deploy a Windows 7 on computer test, no problem, but a SCCM client on the computer = Connection Type: Currently Internet ???
I try: SMSSITECODE = AUTO, SMSSLP= servername, etc....
    I check "boundary", log files
But if not install SCCM client with OSD and after install client manually = no problem.
    Do you have any idea?
    Thanks

I try: SMSSITECODE = AUTO, SMSSLP= servername, etc....
    Hi,
SLP has been merged into the Management Point in SCCM 2012.
Are there any useful information in the relevant logs(Smsts.log, client installation logs)? There should be some information about client install properties.

  • Java API & E 6.5.1: Retrieving current session ID after calling IEssOlapServer.connect()

Is it possible to retrieve the current session ID after connecting using IEssOlapSvr.connect()?I know that you can: 1)Get all of the requests via IEssOlapServer.getRequests2) Iterate through the result of getRequests to get a request object 3) Use IEssOlapRequest.getRequestCode() to get the session id for the request. This is problematic because if I must loop through all of the requests/sessions, I cannot guarantee the one I am looking for is the one I am currently in!! As soon as a request/session is created in a thread, I would like to store the session id in a database so I can do 'stuff' with the session id later (like cancel it, etc). Does anyone have any thoughts? Hopefully I am over-looking something simple!!

Why don't you just keep a handle on the object and use that for further operations?Tim TowApplied OLAP, Inc

  • After typing master password in session can I force typing master password again without ending current session and starting new session?

Sometimes after using the master password to access an account during a given firefox session I would like to "revoke" this ability for automatic access (i.e. require typing the master password again) without having to end the current session and restart firefox.
While it is nice to only have to type the master password once per session, there are times when after starting some action I would like to leave the browser unattended for a short time but prevent others from accessing sensitive information at other sites if they do not know my master password. Note this is not the same as "locking the browser." Presently the only way I know to force this is to kill the current session and restart the browser but this is not very satisfactory if I actually want to stay connected (authorized) at a particular site. I would hope that adding a button on the security tab to "require master password for current session" would be a simple fix to implement? Thank you for your attention.

While waiting for a response to this question, I stumbled upon a partial (good workaround) answer to my question in the form of a Firefox addon, Master Password Timeout [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/master-password-timeout/ ]. Among other things it adds "Logout Master Password" as an option under the Firefox "Tools" menu which then gives the functionality I was looking for.
It seems to me though that this is a basic security option that would be good for a general Firefox user to be aware of since leaving a browser open unattended with no master password required could easily lead to trouble. Before finding this addon I was not aware that Firefox 4 had a 30 minute default timeout for the master password. At least in my case I have left Firefox going overnight on home computers and have not had to retype the master password the next morning... so somehow I missed having this "default" set when I upgraded to Firefox 4.

  • How do I connect my Centro to the Internet via bluetooth over PC's Internet? Where is Centro's PPP Connection Type? How do I setup Login Script for bluetooth connection?

I am trying to set up bluetooth on the Centro to connect to the internet via my PC's internet.
    HotSync over bluetooth works successfully.
Computer specs: Toshiba P205-S6277; Bluetooth Stack v5.10.04 (currently using); Bluetooth Monitor v3.01 (to use Vista's built-in bluetooth)
I think I have narrowed my problem down to 3 things.
    (1) Finding Network Access properties (to allow connected devices to access the internet)
    (2) Finding Centro's Network Connection Type: PPP
    (3) Finding the correct Login Script to use
for (1) I think I've looked everywhere; found nothing on Network Access.
Checked control panel: only Bluetooth Local COM
Right-clicked bluetooth icon > Settings: File transfer, PAN Networking, PAN DHCP server, AV controls. Other bluetooth settings are for file transfer or object push. I don't see anything like this.
I'm stumped on (2). It seems as if palm removed this option under Centro's Advanced network settings .
Nearly all the forums that I read says to choose Connection Type: PPP.
    (3) Found 2 scripts that seemed would work. I don't know how it exactly works but it sounds workable.
    First script:
    Send: CLIENT
    Send: CLIENT
    Wait for: CLIENTSERVER
    End:
    Script 1 Connect Log:
    =======================================
    Connect Log
    S: client
    S: client
    R:
    Err: 0x121F   <<<netErrUserCancel b/c I canceled it.
    Not connected
    ========================================
I canceled it because the process would stay on "Signing In" then it automatically "Canceled" itself.
    Second script:
    Send CR:
    Delay: 1
    Send: CLIENT
    Wait For: CLIENTSERVER
    End
**UPDATE** I found on this forum (Reply # 3689) that the script is needed only if you are using Palm OS 4 or under. Centro uses Palm OS 5.49121. Can anyone support this?
Even without the script it has problems "Signing In".
I'm currently reading this site and trying out its decribed methods. I will update this thread when I get the results.
I'm using the Centro. And If anyone's been able to successfully connect to the internet on the Centro via a bluetooth connection to the PC WITHOUT 3rd party applications, please share.  If not, please share any ideas.
    Thanks!

I've been going at this for days, and have probably exhausted all the proposed solutions on the first 3 pages of various google searches. I'm getting the feeling that Vista users are pretty much SOL for the time being.
For the record, I just tried out a few of the solutions (mRouter & SoftickPPP) on XP and they work perfectly.

  • How to identify current session id (SID)?

How can a user identify their current session id if auditing is not enabled and account has connect role only? select * from v$mystat where rownum = 1; Fails (ora-942).

I think this is going to be difficult. I've included a completely convoluted idea I thought of using just CONNECT accessible objects (looking on a 9.2 database). You can't make this a stored procedure though (no direct privileges). I'll be interested to see if someone can come up with something easier.

  • JTA Transaction and CUrrent Session

We have the following problem. We configured hibernate with
jta and when we execute a simple code that performs some hibernate
queries we get the following error:
    "org.hibernate.LazyInitializationException: could not

We discovered that if we leave the session opened the error

The scenario you described is typical ... "If a client calls m1" ... there are 2 cases:
    (1) the client is already in a trans
    (2) not (1)
Let (1). This is the case of a Client Controlled Transaction ... etc ... when s1 is called it begins a transaction in the client transactional context ... hence s1 can't call a kind of roolback but can force the rollback of the global transaction marking EJBContext.setRollbackOnly() ... s2 uses the same transactional context ... anayway the client is the only one that can commit. This happens because of "transaction required" as the transaction attribute, that in this case forces a flat transaction model. Different is the case if you uses "requiredNew" --> nested trans model ...
    (2) is the same of (1) except that the trans starts at application tier.
"I still have one doubt. Wouldn't the stateless session bean loose the transaction context once I exit the second stateles session bean's method? Isn't that what stateless means? "
    No:
stateless doesn't stay for the transaction context but for the conversational state with the client ... that is serializable ... it makes the beans more poolable ... that the stateful session bean has

    Hi All
I just purchased a Nokia 6300 and want to sync to my PC. When I run the software the messge on the bottom of the screen states " No phone connected" When I hit the Get connected button next to the message the connection wizzard opens, then I click next and an error message appears " No connection type available therefore connection to the phone cannot be established. The wizard will now close "
Can anyone help solve the problem
Gateway 1615, vista, pc suite 6.84.10.3, McAfee security enter, mozilla firefox browser,
    Thanks
    Cousinvinney

    Success!
From the current and other comments I made it after 3 days efforts on and off!
This is the sequence of events from the start.
    Start Point
A working earlier installation for a Nokia 6230i but which would do everything for my new Nokia 6300 except Sync (Menus greyed out.
Before doing anything else, make an image of your system partition (I use Acronis so you can restore the known working image if anything really goes wrong.
Downloading new versions for the new phone does not work fro this staring point! Don't even go there.
    Step1
    Uninstall PC Suite
    Reboot your machine
Installing the new software will still not work yet. You will hit the Problem with Registry key(s) access.
You now need to delete all the REGISTRY KEYS associated with Nokia . They don't all have Nokia in the key name!
Go to the RUN box and type regedit
Browse HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes and right click and Delete every folder with Ncl at the start (e.g. NclPhonet)(I had 3 of them)and every Nokia entry (I had 1) and the Secure Platform key folder.
    Exit regedit
Also, and this appeared to be the final problem I had which may have been left around from earlier aborted installs) in Windows Explorer go to ProgramFiles, and manually delete the PC_Comnectivity_Solutions folder (if it exists).
Now I installed from the CD provided with the Nokia 6300 phone and it installed without an issue and the bluetooth connection picked up the phone and BINGO the SYNC menu was not greyed out!
    Phew!
All synced up now again and phone is usable!
    Hope that helped.
I take no responsibility for any problems you may experience in trying to follow what I did, as my system my be different to yours , but the backup image should get you back to square 1 if you really mess up.
Cheers, and thanks to all the other guys on the blog for their hints.

  • Change Connection TYPE in XI (NOT using CR Viewer)

    Post Author: bowlegtroy
CA Forum: Data Connectivity and SQL
    Hi,
I'm using CR XI in a VB6 application to run .rpt files (they are also developed in XI) programmatically.  All of these reports are currently created using the Native Oracle Connection (HOW: Open Crystal XI, New Report, Create new connection, Oracle Server, enter data in Service name as found in TNS Names, uID, PWD).
At runtime, I'm changing the name of the server, UID and Pwd.  All of this works fine.
However, in order to make my program more flexible, I need to change the connection to be OLEDB instead of the native Oracle connection.
    So, my question is:
"How do I change the connection TYPE at runtime to be OLEDB?"
Or, if that cannot be done, then:
"How do I READ the connection type, and take the appropriate action?"
I have tried following the help files examples (for Crystal 9, clears throat loudly) that you find in the documentation online at BusinessObjects.com, but have not been successful to date.  Docs tried:
    http://resources.businessobjects.com/support/communitycs/TechnicalPapers/cr_rdc9_connectionproperties.pdf

Here is my existing VB6 code to connect and change the connections for each table.  Can someone help me change this to an OLEDB connection at RUNTIME?

The router is only able to show the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz device statuses if they happen to be connected to the Greenwave or ActionTec router. Anything that is not directly associated with the Wi-Fi radio on the FiOS router will generally show up as a wired device, just because the router doesn't know if it sits behind a switch, behind a wireless bridge, or if it's actually a wireless device. All it knows is that the device ARPs and asked for an IP through DHCP.
For monitoring what devices are on what radio for the Apple AirPort, try Apple's AirPort Utility for OS X and Windows. The Network Map should allow you to select devices and view informtion on each device.

Processor 2.6 GHz Intel Core i5
    Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Computer is supposed to seamlessly back up to Time Capsule via wi-fi, but ever since upgrading to Yosemite it's been broken.  "can't connect to a current Time Machine back up disk"  is the message that pops up, just after it shows me the files on my Time Machine for a split second.  So it sees them, for a moment, then it pops up the message and freezes my computer.  I have to do a hard reboot.  I tried the instructions here: OS X Yosemite: If Time Machine can’t find your backup disk,  and various instructions I've found on the internet regarding fixes from deleting plist files to whatever.
This is very annoying, I'd like to fix the problem.  And also vent, this *****, this isn't why I purchase Apple products, it's a known problem and they aren't publishing a fix.  Apple isn't very elegant anymore, it's cumbersome, troublesome, and I'm wondering why I'm spending the extra when those were the benefits I was paying for.

Apple isn't very elegant anymore, it's cumbersome, troublesome, and I'm wondering why I'm spending the extra when those were the benefits I was paying for.
Don't upgrade next time until the following version is out.. I updated not long ago to Mountain Lion.. and it works very nicely. Apple is playing MS game.. don't fix the problems.. just release a new fangled OS. So issues that have existed over Mavericks and all its updates are still there and in fact exacerbated in Yosemite.
To fix your issue.. You may need to do some major work.. did you upgrade or clean install Yosemite??
I guess it is too much to ask if you still have your previous OS install intact?? Making a bootable clone before updating is a necessity now IMHO.
TM does not really allow you to go back to the previous OS.. but you can clean install Mavericks or whatever you used and then recover your files.
To fix Yosemite a clean install can be a big help. Especially as wireless is a major flaw.
Do you own the thunderbolt to ethernet adapter? It is like $35 and a well worthwhile gadget to own.. since I think your mac has no ethernet port.
See if it works ok by ethernet.
Otherwise factory reset the TC and try mounting it manually in finder by IP address, not name.
ie in Finder use Go, Connect to server and type in the IP.. thusly
    SMB://10.0.1.1 (replace with actual IP)
It is a bit tricky if the IP is not static.. but start there and see what happens.
Remember to save the password to the TC in the keychain when asked.

  • Find Wireless Network Connection type

    Hi,
How can I find the connection type (a/b/g/n) of my wireless connection? There is nothing in the Network Preferences.
    Thanks

    G'day,
There are three main methods that I know of:
    1) Hold the Option key while clicking on the Airport icon in the menu bar. This will give you the link speed.
    2) Open "Network Utility", Click on "Info" and select Network Interface en1. This will also give you the link speed.
    3) Open "Terminal" and enter (on one line, followed by pressing return):
    */system/library/privateframeworks/apple80211.framework/versions/current/resourc es/airport -I*
(that is an uppercase "i" at the end, not a "one").
This will give a range of useful information about the current connection.
    Cheers,

  • Have script use current session

    Hello,
I am an SAP end user and do not have a programming background, but am teaching myself VBScript to automate some processes.  I have learned quite a bit through reading through the posts on the forums, but I can not figure out how to get the scripts that I write to run on the current sap session.    They always run on the first session that is opened.
It seems like there must be something that can be written in the script to use the current session vs the 1st session that is opened.   I have found a few threads on the forums that make mention of this problem, but have not found a solution that works.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Scriptman,
I have learned a lot reading from your previous posts on various subjects.   Here is the start of the script just up to the point where it gets the title of the transaction.  It always runs on first session created unless I change the children number to reflect the session that I want it to run on.
    If Not IsObject(application) Then
       Set SapGuiAuto  = GetObject("SAPGUI")
       Set application = SapGuiAuto.GetScriptingEngine
    End If
    If Not IsObject(connection) Then
       Set connection = application.Children(0)
    End If
    If Not IsObject(session) Then
       Set session    = connection.Children(0)
    End If
    If IsObject(WScript) Then
       WScript.ConnectObject session,     "on"
       WScript.ConnectObject application, "on"
    End If
    trans = session.findById("wnd[0]/titl").text
I have tried a couple scripts that you have previously posted and the one that comes closest to doing what I want is :
    If Not IsObject(application) Then
       Set SapGuiAuto  = GetObject("SAPGUI")
       Set application = SapGuiAuto.GetScriptingEngine
    End If
    If Not IsObject(connection) Then
       Set connection = application.Children(0)
    End If
msgbox "Please select a session within the next 3 seconds after clicking ok"
    wscript.sleep 3000
    set session = application.ActiveSession
    trans = session.findById("wnd[0]/titl").text
I would like it to just run on the last session that the user was last accessing without them having to click on the session to activate it after the script is running.  Do you know of any way to do this or if it is possible?
Thanks again for all the great information that you have already posted.

  • Passivate option in VO transient attributes & AM connection type

    Hi
    My English isn't very good.
    I use Jdeveloper 11.1.1.3.0
    I have 2 questions:
    1. I defined some View Obj and in each View Obj I made transient attributes. I don't know if the Passivate option of these transient attributes should be enable or not?
    2. for AM connection type I use JDBC DataSource : "jdbc/ConnectionName". If I change JDBC DataSource to "java:comp/env/jdbc/ConnectionName", does it exist any difference?

If your transient attributes are updateable, but you use them only within the scope of a single request (e.g. you set the value within a particular request and use it only until the end of this request but not later), then you do not have to passivate them. However, if they are updateable and you need their values to survive across multiple requests, then you must ensure that these attributes are passivated. In order to configure them to passivate you should do the following:
    1. Check the checkbox "Passivate State (e.g. Current Row, Bind Variables, etc.)" in the section "General/Tunning" in VO's definition dialog box;
    2. Either check the checkbox "Including All Transient Values" in the same section or leave it unchecked but check the checkbox "Passivate" in the definition of the corresponding VO attributes.
N.B. The setting "Include All Transient Values" affects not only the transient VO attributes but the SQL-derived VO attributes (that are not entity-based) too.
The configuration parameter "jbo.txn.disconnect_level" has nothing to do with passivation/activation. The correct way to test if your VOs behave correctly under passivation/activation is to disable AM pooling (e.g. to uncheck the checkbox "Enable Application Module Pooling" in the corresponding AM Configuration dialog box). When AM Pooling is disabled ADF passivates the corresponding AM state at the end of each HTTP request and activates it at the beginning of next request and so on. In this way you can check if your VOs are passivation/activation-safe.
Please, have a look at the article [url http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/web.1111/b31974/bcstatemgmt.htm#sm0318]Application State Management in the documentation for more information and detailed explanation.
