Connection unavailable (in France)

Salut.
I can't connect ichat in France.
Can anyone help me?
I'm using Neuf Telecome in Angers in France.
Not only ichat, i can't connect mac msn, limewire.. etc
Does anyone have any ideas what i can do with my macbook?
Merci beucoup!

I would start here as you have told us very little information
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=527902
I see Neuf have links to AOL so I can not see it being a port problem with the SIP connection.
(It might explain the MSN issue though)

  • Problem with CmdLineLauncher - Connection unavailable

I have problem with CmdLineLauncher. When i execute this tool by task scheduler during night, i get error message:
    Launch Vars: {ExecDB=Planning...}
    2011-12-18 03:31:22,674 WARN main com.hyperion.hbr.cmdlnlauncher.CmdLineLauncher - Connection unavailable Planning/...
I found explanation of this problem:
    Business Rule Error
Hyperion planning services are stopped for backup procedure at night. Next step is ODI and data loading.
After data loading i need to recalculate dimensions. For now i'm using CmdLineLauncher to execute proper business rule.
If CmdLineLauncher not work, how can i recalculate dimension in other way by schedule?.
    Any other solution?
    Pete

Well if it is working now then it is probably down to the fact that a successful login into planning has to happen first.
There are probably a number of different options to try, maybe use one of the other planning utilities first before the command line launcher, or a script that logs into planning.
You could also try transferring the script to a calc script and then use Maxl to run it.
    Cheers

  • N8 Connection failed / Connection unavailable for ...

My N8 C: was always running out of memory so I thought of doing a Hard Reset.
I backed up data, Hard Reset(wipes off all memory), Restored.
Now I am able to find my WiFi hotspot but not able to connect, it says Connection failed / Connection unavailable.
WiFi hotspot is created using Nokia E72 JoikuSpot which worked smoothly prior to Hard Reset but not now. My other devices are still able to connect to the hotspot so everything is fine at Joiku in E72.
I have tried Soft Reset, Hard Reset of my N8 and even deleting the HotSpot from saved connection & then re-saving it.
    Pls advise.
    Using Nokia Lumia 1320.
    Also have Nokia E72 & Nokia N8.

Replying for an update because i had this problem, fixed, but have it again:
Well I did about a month ago i had the same problem with the mobile data saying connection failed. I did the soft restand then hard reset, but then still had the issue. I deleted all the access points and then took out the sim card. Put the sim card back in and then had to manually setup my access point.
That worked, not sure if it was one specific thing or the whole combination.
but now the same problem is back, the mobile data not working and saying connection failed/connection unavailable. Cannot get it fixed no matter what i try so far (tried resets, manually inputting apn settings again, etc)
my wifi works by the way.
Did you find a fix or does anyone have any suggestions?

  • 808 "connection unavailable", "connection failed" ...

    Hello,
I've had issues (gallery and SMS, maybe will post to other threasds) with my 808/Belle FP2 and tried to backup/hard reset/restore data to fix them.
After hard reset (with data deletion) my 808 reported "connection unavailable" and "connection failed" when I attempted any data connection, both GPRS and wi-fi. The second hard reset has fixed this issue, however after restoring data this happened again. Soft reset did not help (maybe second one would).
...the 3G and wi-fi updates do not affect this

Seems that the issue lied in combination of Nokia Suite and Eset mobile security (beta).
The eset mobile security was not restored with other installed applications, but installing prior to restoring applications and settings did help.
I guess that firewall settings were restores, but not the application that manages the firewall (eset mobile security).
Unfortunately I was not able to install it before, installation apparently requires network connection.

  • Connection failed ... Connection unavailable

I bought nokia 701 two days back. My service provider is Reliance. Yesterday I
downloaded and installed Facebook and Opera from ovi suite. Also i inserted my
Vodafone sim card to copy contacts to phone. Afterwards I am not able to connect
GPRS. It says "Connection failed ... Connection unavailable".
My "mobile data" is set to ON mode.
I have contacted Reliance customer care, but they are not able to solve the issue.
    Please help me out.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Same solution for me too - for E6 with Airtel.
I uninstalled Fsecure mobile security, reinstalled the phone software through Ovi Suite & now I am not getting the "connection failed, connection unavailabe" error. It's very strange, since Fsecure came pre-loaded on Nokia E6 and is also available in Nokia Store.

  • Sandbox cause my app kept connecting unavailable network drive

Sandbox cause my app kept connecting unavailable network drive, can it be fixed?
I have to manually delete sandbox config every time to prevent app hang.

    Hi Jaggs,
       nice question!
I think the problem is that is not only your LabView application which stops, but the Operating System which hangs, if Storage device access fails.  I experienced this problem under many OSs, Win, Linux, Dos-like...even RTOSes (try to access a corrupted Flash card in PharLap ETS for FieldPoint!).
To check if drive is present, you can ping it... it's quite naive, but at least you avoid the "drive disconnected" problem... I think a ping shouldn't hang PC...
What Hardware are you controlling? You know, some NI boards (many...) have onboard memory, and can sample independently of PC control....for a while, of course!
I hope some guru will answer to your question (which I didn't answered, I know! ), because I'm interested too!
       Have a nice day!

  • 808 - Connection failed Connection unavailable mes...

I just received my 808 replaced by Nokia for the 3G bug issue. Now I have been noticing that annoying Connection Failed connection unavailable message every few seconds. Turned the positioning methods OFF and the frequency of the error message goes away but it still pops up every few minutes. I did a hard reset, removed the memory card where most of my apps are installed and it still gives me that same error. Ordered a new SIM to see if that makes any difference - none - Still same error message. That message is so annoying. Anyone have any other ideas that I could try ? Privacy mode is OFF also.

Have you assigned a data connection preference for browser and other apps requiring data ?

  • Connection failed.Connection unavailable on c7 Bel...

Finally Nokia has updated social network software on Nokia Belle. I thought it would solve the problem, but still when i open default applications such as Facebook,Twitter, Check in, Social networks in upper right corner it shows message "Connection failed. Connection unavailable".On any other application there is connection. I would like to suggest Nokia to transfer to some other software, because they dont know how develop own. This is the message from unsatisfied customer, because my Nokia is not working correctly for about 1year,from release of Nokia Anna. Or maybe you have solution for my problem after 6 months?

I'm having this problem too for a while now. I have done a few hard resets and I've managed to get the 1.3.236 version working and connecting just so I can upload photos on facebook. I can now see another update (1.5.216) available but I'm still afraid to update because it might not connect. Another app which I was using and is now facing the same issue is AccuWeather. I will have to upgrade my contract soon and the Samsung Galaxy S3 looks better than the Nokia 808 Pureview from where I'm standing. I'm looking forward to video calls with Skype and a proper facebook app

  • Why am I no longer able to connect wirelessly to France Telecom LiveBox?

I have a Wanadoo WiFi LiveBox in my second home. When I set it up everything was working fine and I had full Wifi internet access. Then the last time I was here I was unable to connect to it wirelessly. I hadn't got time to investigate so I simply used it by Ethernet.
This visit I've been trying to get to the bottom of it.
The router works, it connects to the Net, I can connect to the Net through Ethernet. A friend's PC laptop connects to it faultlessly by Wifi, so this suggests the problem is with my PowerBook.
It appears on my AirPort menu and when I select it the Mac pauses for 15 seconds then returns the error message "There was an error connecting the the Network '3B4' ". I've tried several times. I've tried rebooting both the Mac and the router. I've rebooted the router from the admin interface as well as pulling out its power lead. But the problem persists.
I even looked at the Keychain Manager to see if I could delete the Keychain component in case this has become corrupted but there is no sign of it there. (all the other Wandadoo boxes I've connected to over the last year are there funnily enough). I've tried switching off all my OS X firewall services, but no joy.
It's annoying being unable to Wifi to my own router when everyone else can
    Any thoughts?

I'm still plugging away at this one.
Here's what I discovered. If I log onto the LiveBox's admin interface (by ethernet) and enable WPA encryption the PowerBook will ask for the WPA password when I try to log on via Airport, when I enter the password it then says "this network uses access control please contact your administrator". So I go back the LiveBox admin screen and I manually add the PowerBook's MAC address as a permitted user. Then I try Airport again. This time it asks me the password as before then pauses for 15 seconds and says "there was an error joining the network".
So now I know that the Mac is talking to the router. I know it is getting past the password stage (if I have one set), it seems to be getting past the MAC filtering stage, but then one or other of the boxes refuses to continue the negotiation.
Looking at other forums I see I'm not the only one with problems on the Livebox (otherwise known as a Sagem 3202). I know the simple solution is a new Belkin or similar but I'm damned if I want to let this little white box defeat me.

  • I cannot get my Iphone 5S to connect to my Bose Soundlink III, the blue light will not turn white.

I have a Bose Soundlink III and have had no problems connecting to my Iphone until the past three or four days. It will not connect and the blue Bluetooth button will not turn white. I have done everything it says to do in troubleshooting the Soundlink and it does exactly what it is suppose to do, except light changing and connecting. My phone shows Bose SLIII and it says it is discoverable. If I touch the the Bose SLIII area it keeps saying Connection Unavailable and to check that it is turned on and in range. Any suggestions??

Or just try off>>on with Bluetooth on iPhone works for me when my Bose "play up"

I am using tata docomo for internet browing. its working fine when browing from the handset but when i connect it to my desktop which has windows xp 64 bit os i get the error Packet Data connection unavailable. i have received the settings from the service provider saved them and restarted the mobile but the issue persists.
Any help in resolving this problem will be hugely appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards
    Flaviazzu

    Hi Flaviazzu,
Thank you for your post and welcome to the forums!
Since you can use the packet data on your phone but not on your computer may mean that your operator does not allow you to use your data access via tethering. We would recommend that you review the terms and conditions of your service and see if it mentions anything about tethering. If tethering is allowed in your contract, please follow the instructions below to set up your internet connection.
To create an internet connection for the first time, do the following:
You can find the latest available Nokia Suite from your local support site
In the Nokia Suite Home view, click Tools -> Options -> Connect to Internet
Depending on the device model you are using, the internet connection is created as follows:
The connection is created automatically or you need to select the operator to be used when creating an internet connection. From the list that shows the operators in your country, select your home operator (in other words the operator to whose network you have subscribed to). Then click OK.
Let us know if this helps,

  • E6 belle connectivity problem

    Hi,
I've updated my E6 to Belle and have a strange problem with network connectivity. At some point of time (I can not determine when) all new applications I install (or install updates for the old ones) can not connect to the network ("connection failed  connection unavailable"). "Old" applications are working normally, without any problems.
Any hints how to slove this?
    Thanks,
    Mario

    Hi mstefanec,
Thank you for your post and welcome to the forums!
Have you tried removing and reinstalling the troublesome applications?
If the reinstallation does not solve the issue, hard reset your phone and reinstall all applications. Reseting will wipe all settings and data off the phone, so remember to back up your phone first with Nokia Suite.
Dial *#7370# to hard reset your phone, when prompted for the security code, default code is 12345.

  • Network found at 5/5 green bars, but can't connect.

    Hi,
I received this weekend my inspiron 9400 with an integrated Dell Wireless 1500 Draft 802.11n WLAN mini-card.
    I then went to buy a  Wireless G SRX200 WRT54GX2.
I can see the network fine at 5/5 green bars, but always unable to connect.  I have tried no security, wep, wpa, wpa2 with both encryptions.  I have tried every channel still the same issue : Wireless connection unavailable.
I know my Dell Wireless 1500 card works because In my network list there is an unprotected network that I see sometime with 1/5 green bar that I tried to connect to and got my IP address in 3-4 seconds.
I am at the moment clueless about why I can't get any connection with my router.  Wired works fine though.
    Thanks,
    Burnie

Yes I have tried with Firewall on and off.
I have also changed the SSID that was by default linksys to alot of other SSID's too.  I don't have any other wireless devices nearby.  I tried using both the Microsoft wireless utility and Dell wireless Utility.
Same result as always.  Not Connected
    Thanks,
    Burnie
