I want to setup connection according to guide "How to u2026Configure UDConnect on the J2EE Server for JDBC Access to External Databases (SAP NW 04 - SAP BW 3.5)". I have problem with create RFC destination under "JCo RFC Provider" in Visual Administrator. I don't known where I can add new RFC destination as is write in this guide.
Thank you very much for your help.

You're searching for the "new" button, right? I was searching that too.
Just select one RFC destination, change the name and press on "save" - this will add a new one. Not very intuitive but it works.

  • Mac/Apple TV Connectivity via ethernet connection problems

I am having a connectivity issue with my Mac and Apple TV. I am connected to the internet via cable modem and ethernet lines. I have my Mac, Apple TV and cable modem all connected via a Netgear 5-port ethernet switch (10/100 Mbps). I am able to connect to the iTunes store (internet) with either my Mac or Apple TV by unplugging my cable modem and reconnecting with one device "on", but in order to switch from Mac to Apple TV (or vice versa) it is necessary to sleep the one device, and reconnect with the other. I am unable to communicate from the Apple TV to my Mac iTunes without a direct ethernet cable between them.
I suspect there's something in the system preferences that I'm not doing. All devices seem to work OK in isolation but not together.
    Any ideas?

    cuatro,
    welcome to discussions.
Your issue is with the Netgear switch. It needs to be a router and also provide DHCP and NAT. It might be able to do this by re-configuring. In fact, as you describe it as a 5-port switch, it's very likely that one port is on the WAN side (internet) and the other four are LAN side (local). Which model switch is it ?
The issue start with the cable modem, which will only provide one Ethernet port and one IP address to access the internet. Your Netgear should really then put up a firewall and provide up to 4 local IP addresses (a LAN) for sharing access to the internet. It looks like it's not doing this, but just sharing the one IP address (supplied by your cable ISP) amongst all the attached devices. This can be a nightmare, as you are finding out.
Let us know about the Netgear and we can help.
Just in case the Netgear is unable to do what we want it to, does your G5 have more than one Ethernet port ? Is it physically possible to connect the cable modem directly to the G5 ? (are the cables long enough?) Is it physically possible then to connect the AppleTV to the G5 ? If not directly, then via the Netgear ?
It may be that you will have to spend about £30 on a router with firewall / DHCP / NAT / etc, or £40-£50 on a top-of-the-range wireless-n router, which your AppleTV will love. I'm almost certain that your existing Netgear is sufficient though.

My iPad is disabled and I can not input my passcode.  what do i need to do?  I tried to connect to iTunes, but it will not allow me to connect via compute USB as I cannot input my passcode for the iPad.

You may need to put the iPad into recovery mode : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808 - you should then be able to reset the iPad and restore/re-sync your content to it

  • Can't connect via Airport -- "connection timeout" error, instead

I've got a MacBook Pro here, which was successfully connected online via Airport, under OS X 10.4.11.
Then I upgraded to Leopard (10.5), and the machine would no longer connect automatically to the router.
OK, I tried manually configuring the wireless connection, but no luck. So, I brought in an old iBook G4 running the same OS (10.5), and successfully linked it to the router, wirelessly, via Airport.
Copying the procedure that worked with the iBook -- to the MBPro -- did not help. Still getting a "connection timeout" error message.
So I performed a fresh install of 10.5 -- and I even DLed the Software Updates, including two that were supposed to improve Airport functionality -- and tried again. No luck.
    Any suggestions?
    TIA.

    John,
I had the same problem when I upgraded from Tiger to Leopard in January. My memory is already rusty but try the following:
    1. Go to System Preferences > Network pane. On the left pane, click on AirPort. In the right pane lower right, click Advanced button. Then on the AirPort tab, click on the name of your network and then the minus sign to remove it from the list.
    2. Click Apply and quit System Preferences.
    3. Put the computer to sleep.
    4. Wake the computer.
    5. Go back in to Network preferences, AirPort tab. Click the plus sign to add your network. Fill in the Network Name, choose the type of Security by clicking on the pop-down bar, enter password/code/phrase and click Add. NOTE: Do not connect to the network at this time.
    6. Click Apply and Quit the Network Preferences.
    7. On the Menu row, click the Airport icon and select your network. (IF your network does not show, choose Join Other Network. Fill in the Network Name, choose the type of Security by clicking on the pop-down bar, enter password/code/phrase and click Join.)
    8. Verify connectivity
    9. Put the computer to sleep.
    10. Wake the computer.
    11. Verify connectivity

  • Error when connecting via ODBC connections

    Alright, so....
    I have a Windows 7, 64 bit OS.  I installed Oracle 10g, I installed Crystal Reports Xi release 2.
Via ODBC Administrator, I set up my data sources, and they all connect successfully.
I go into Crystal Reports, create a new report, and attempt to set a new connect and use those same data sources. I get prompted for my user name and password.  I get the error:
    Logon failed.
Details: IM004:[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver's SQLAllocHandel on SQL_HANDEL_ENV failed
HELP!  I've changed security settings, I've wiped my machine and started over from scratch, I've even installed Oracle 11g. Please help!  I'm about to pull my hair out. I am sure this is probably something easy or something I've overlooked, but I give up and throw the towel in.

Go into \windows\syswow64 and use the odbcadm32.exe located in there. It's the 32 bit version of the ODBC Administrator.
Also, search before posting and this has been answered.
And you need Service Pack 6 to be supported on Windows 7.
    Thank you
    Don

  • E90 not connecting via USB connection

Can someone offer some advice as to why the E90 doesn't seem to connect or be recognised when put into PC suite mode, had it work once when i first got it but now all i get is 3 'USB' noises and cannot get them to talk to each other.
Using XP with latest version of PC suite.
    Thanks

Does it connect in Data Transfer Mode?
Try connecting E90 with same data cable on another computer having PCSuite installed.
I am asking this because I doubt it is due to hardware problem, it has to be data cable or PCSuite on the computer.
To verify if the connecting pins are damaged on E90 you can try connecting with a bluetooth device.

  • Identify Firewalllog Connections via VPNlog Connections

    Hello everybody,
after getting some other issues running, i'm stucking again.
I have to tables: FIREWALLLOG and VPNLOG
FIREWALLLOG Format:      Date, Time, Timestamp, SourceIP, DestIP
VPNLOG Format:               Date, Time, Timestamp, InternalIP, DestIP, OriginalClientIP, Username
I want to identify firewalllog entries over the vpnlog entries.
In some cases, the OriginalClientIP = DestIP from Firwalllog. So i want to add the username to the firewalllog entries, if OriginalClientIP = DestIP from Firewalllog.
I tried a join of both tables, and it worked, but i then got the same Firewall entrie many times, because there are maybe 20 entries in vpn with the OriginalClientIP = DestIP condition.
So it has something to do with distinct values. is it possible, to filter out all distinct OriginalClientIP of a User and then join them with the firewalllog?
    Regards,

    Hi,
in order to identify clients I maintain a hash with references to
the clients. The clients register and unregister with special
remote methods of the server RMI object.
I didn't see an API in RMI to do this for me. And it was fairly easy to implement.
    Have fun,
    Klaus

  • Window 8.1 system unable to access network shares via VPN connection

Is there something inherent to Windows 8.1 that prevents it from accessing shares on a domain?
I know that it cannot join a domain, but does that also mean that it cannot access shares which are on a domain?
My problem is that I have several user that are running windows 8.1 that are connecting to our network via a VPN.
The users have domain accounts but their computers as windows 8.1 cannot joined to the domain.
So to access network shares they have to use their domain credentials to create a VPN connection.
Once connected the user can RDP to systems on the domain using their domain accounts, so I know that their user names/passwords and permissions are correct. They can access these systems using the computer name, so I don't feel that I have a DNS issue.
They can see the shares on our file server, but when they try to access their departments shared file, they receive an access denied message. There are a few shares that are completely wide open, shared to all users and all departments but they cannot access
    those shares either.
You can ping the file server, from the the client when they are connected to the VPN but you just cannot access any of the shares.
    So...
I am thinking that it has something to do with windows 8.1 and not being able to join a domain, but I cannot find anything to explicitly support this thought.
Other users running a variety different OS (windows 7, OSX, Linux) can all access the shares without any problems via the VPN, so I am a little stumped.

I have done some more testing and oddly enough I can map a drive if I use the IPaddress, but not the computer name, when checking the check box "connect using different credentials"and providing they users domain credentials.
This seems to point to a DNS issue, one would think, but I can hit the file share server by name \\fileserver.dev.lan
I can see all the shares, so dns seems to be fine right?
So I don't understand why I can map a drive using do the IPaddress and not the machine name, but yet I can see and ping the server by name?
When I try to create a mapped drive by machine name I receive the following message:
    Windows cannot access \\fileserver.dev.lan\all
You do not have permissions to access \\fileserver.dev.lan. contact your network administrator  to request access.
But if I use the \\x.x.x.x\all using the very same user and password I get connected with no problem.
This only seems to happen on windows 8.1, which leads me to think that has something to do with OS.
I am thinking about upgrading to windows 8.1 pro, but I don't want to go though the hassle and expanse is the OS is not the problem.

  • How can i use my smart TV as a second monitor for my Power mac (2010) via HDMI cable? i've made the connection but no options show in system prefs display.

How can i use my smart TV as a second monitor for my Power mac (2010) via HDMI cable? i've made the connection but no options show in system prefs display.
    the computer:Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.9.5), 2 x 2.66 Ghz 6-Core intel Xeon
    the TV: LG Smart tv

The Mac uses a highly-parameterized universal Driver for every display. The parameters are set at certain times when a query is sent to your display. The display MUST answer with its name and capabilities, or the screen stays dark. A TV set that is off or "not paying attention" because it is set to a different port when the query occurs will rarely answer, and so will often remain dark.
You can use tools in the System Report to see whether your display has been detected at all. If it has, the report will look something like this, but its name will appear:
The times when the query is sent are:
    • at Startup
    • at wake from sleep
    • when the Mac-end of the cable is inserted
    • when using the Option ( Detect Displays ) button in displays preferences

  • Connecting iPod via HRT-iStreamer to HiFi system

I have read several articles about audio streamer that are supposed to improve the quality of sound of an iPod, iPad etc.,when playing on a HiFi-system.
I am talking about the "High Resolution Technologies iStreamer" which is, so I have read, approved by Apple.
I have two question on this topic:
    1. Does it actually improve the quality of sound? (my iPod is connected via the official Apple docking station. The MP3 files used are mostly 192kBit or higher)
    2. Does the apple remote control still work when connected via the HRT-iStreamer?
Would appreciate any info on the above.
    Thanks - Fritz

Not sure about the "approved by Apple", usually all you get is the "Works with iPhone", or iPod compatibility sticker.
If it reduces jitter it will improve the quality of sound if the source material is at high resolution, say WAV, or AIFF, or perhaps Apple Lossless. For MP3 files at 192 I doubt you would be able to tell any difference at all. It should not interfere at all with your remote.
If you want to put high resolution material on your iPod and get the highest level of sound you can, I would recommend this: http://www.wadia.com/products/transports/171i/design.php
