Connection with finder fails
Dear All,
we have a problem re-connecting to server over AFP
Steps we take:
Start system
Login
CMD+K
Connect to server over AFP
Server that we are connected to is showing on the list on the left under "Shared"
We can work on this connection fine, open files etc.
But if we try to click on server name on the left under "Shared" it will com up as connection failed and error in console:

We have to reconnect with CMD+K to see files again.

This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

Connection with Ldap failed when Upgrade to Colfusion 8

I have a problem with cfldap tag used in CF8. I have a cfldap tag defined in my application which works fine on CFMX7. But the moment I installed CF8, it gives me an error - "Connection to LDAP server failed."
My cfldap tag goes as below:-

The wierd thing is when I remove secure,username,password & port attributes from the above CFLDAP tag, it works fine & gets me LDAP results. The moment i put these attributes back in the CFLDAP tag, it fails. I had installed ssl secure on my IIS too. what else am I missing ?
My error is - "Connection to LDAP server failed."
When I expanded the stack trace, I get the following :-
coldfusion.tagext.net.LdapTag$UnknownHostException: Connection to LDAP server failed.

If you are getting a yellow triangle, most likely either the update.zip or update.xml are corrupt. You should be able to delete both files and try updating again.

NWDI connection with NWDS fails with CIM_ERR_FAILED

I tried to import a development configuration from our NWDI. Before that I configured the URL in the preferences and could successfully ping the server. When I try to import a development configuration in the Development Configurations Perspective with remote I first get the login screen. After confirm login and PW and a short processing I get following error message (see below). On another Computer with the same Netweaver Installation it works fine. Do you have an idea why this happens, and how i can fix this problem and connect ti the NWDI.

Yesterday, I tried to secure my airport network (linksys router) with WPA2. My ibook is now connected, but I didn't succeded with my imac G5 (OS 10.4.10). Is gives an error message. I tried to delete and create again a network but, the airport dialog window of network ( in preferences) is missing the + and - to create and delete a network. It is a little bit messed up: it shows just my own network and the dropdown menu to choose the network is laying over the text.
I have done a clean installation, but it didn't help. Please, give me some advice!Hi hazelaar & Welcome to the Discussions!
When you say a clean install, was that a Fresh Install with Zeroing the HD, or an Archive & Install which preserves users settings & APPs, etc.?
I don't see any + or - on my Network>Airport page/window!?
The create may just be a semantics problem, you don't "create" networks in that window, but can add a name of an existing network to join. There is a Create Network, (if you checked allow this computer to create networks), up under the Airport Icon in the Menu Bar, but that is to create a network on your machine for others to join. -
Having trouble with finder????
ok i have two accounts on this mac both have administrative rights, i use mine and i can get into the other so heres the problem i log in and everything is fine then sooner or later the finder just wigs out, buttons start to disappear like the back, forward, and action, in the left pane of the finder the icons like applications and Macintosh hd black out, and when you click on the finder or hdd it wont open and the Macintosh hd text blanks out I've tried to repair the disk and it did fix all the errors, but not the problem. Before i read that sometimes its just the account that has the problem so i deleted my old account and made a new one that still didn't help the problem. I've also looked in the console and every time i click on the finder icon it comes up with "Finder failed to load a resource -- the binary is corrupted" i dont know what the problem is please help

Tried to use my apple id to update some apps and got"Connection Manager::invoke:: Failed to find service connection url" After this occured a few times I reset the id password, and this was confirmed by email. It still fails with same message. Ideas?

Crystal Server 2011 "Failed to open the connection" with 32 & 64 bit drivers are loaded
Brand new installation of Crystal Reports Server 2011 with CR Developer 2011 as well. Downloaded new Postgres and MySQL drivers for both the 32 and 64 bit ODBC definitions. Created a new report on the server to eliminate any migration driver incompatibility issues. Reports run fine in Developer but give the same "Failed to open the connection."
and still problems running the reports If I Save Data with the reports, I can click View to see the data, but they will not refresh.
All the articles I'm finding online seem to point to the issue with needing 32 & 64 bit drivers, but I've loaded both and built my ODBC connections with the 32 drivers in the SysWOW64 folder.
Logged in as Administrator. Any thoughts out there? Are there some new security measures?

Good catch with the 5.1 driver. I loaded up the mysql-connector-odbc-5.1.13-win32 driver and used that. It alone failed when I made the ODBC connection with it. I see on the CRS 2011 Feature Pack 3 .pdf file that it says "Only 64-bit database connector middleware is supported" ... I downloaded the other mysql-connector-odbc-5.1.13-winx64 64bit file, but teh .msi and .zip versions failed on the load. Do I need that if it says that or should the first one be enough?
I've been trying to use a normal User DSN, no? Apparently I don't have access as a machine Administrator to do it as I get "You are logged on with non-Administrative privileges. System DSNs could not be created or modified." Having our server guys get that straightened out and we'll see. Had not heard of that actually but will give it a go.
You say I should create the DSN entries in the 64 bit version of the ODBC Data Source Administrator ... located in the system32 folder, not the SysWOW64 folder, where the 32 bit drivers are found, yes? Isn't that the "wrong" location to use I've been reading? Or are System DSNs different from a User DSN?

Wicd fails to connect with a WEP key
I'm trying to connect to my wireless network after the recent update to net-tools. I sorted through most of my issues with the hostname command (I think) by installing inetutils and the recent update to wicd. Now, after trying to reconnect, my /var/log/wicd/wicd.log looks like the following:

This looks strange to me because I am connecting to a wireless network that has a WEP hex key, and nothing in my configuration suggests any WPA key. I even tried rm-ing all of the *.conf files in /etc/wicd/ to no avail. Thank heavens for netcfg, or I think Arch Linux would have just blown my network stack again, the way the net-tools "upgrade" did
Does anyone have any tips on how to solve this?
P.S. Maybe it would be good to have some testing process for future updates affecting network connectivity? If this were my only computer I would totally have been dead in the water with the net-tools update. It took a sizable amount of time and effort to find out I needed to bootstrap the hostname command. For a while, before I figured to check the wicd logs, I was considering just dropping Arch Linux. Breaking the internet is just about the worst because you leave people with broken systems and no way to look up how to fix them.Sorry, but I don't think that thread applies here. That thread is dealing with the net-tools upgrade, and the missing hostname utility. I fixed that, dhcpcd works just fine. My problem is that after the wicd update, it tries to use WPA to connect to a network that I have specified as using WEP, so it fails to authenticate.

VPN connection created with CMAK fails to update routing table on Windows 8.1 with error 8000ffff
When my clients connect their CMAK-created VPN, it fails to run the script to set their routing table with the following error:
Custom script (to update your routing table) failed (8000ffff)
My objective is to create a VPN connection with split tunneling - does not use the VPN connection as the client's default gateway.
All my clients are on Windows 8.1 64-bit, and are logged in with Administrative privileges
My VPN Clients are on 10.242.2.0/24, my internal network is on 10.172.16.0/24
I want only traffic for 10.172.16.0 to go via the VPN. Everything else should go via the client's internet connection
My Connection Manager Administration Kit profile, was created on Windows 2012 R2 CMAK with the following settings:
"Make this connection the client's default gateway" is UNticked on the IPv4 tab.
Define a routing table update is specified with a text file containing:

I'm working on reporting of Project Server 2010, while configuring SQL SERVER REPORTING SERVICES faced issue after two complete days of troubleshooting along with this gone through plenty of forums, unable to figure out any solution. So finally posting on
technet in order to find solution.
ISSUE/PROBLEM:
At initial configured the SQL REPORTING CONFIGURATION to sharepoint integrated database (SQL SERVER is installed on seperate machine), change the service to Domain Account and also installed sharepoint add in on server story was fine at this point. Furthur
moving to SHAREPOINT ADMIN console and while configuring the Sharepoint Integrated Reporting continuously facing this error:

My point of concern is that whenerver i try to open the REPORT SERVER URL on project server machine it prompts me to enter username and password but whenever i insert the domain credentails it didnt accept though it can be accesible by using the credentials
of Local Admin of sql server machine. So i wana come to know whether its permission issue if yes then where i should mention the domain credentials.?

I am installing SAP netwaver 7.4 PI server on Windows server 2012 and MS SQL 2012.
This is a domain installation so infra team have created 2 users <SID>ADM and SAPService<SID> user with local admin rights.
I have installed MS SQL with windows authentication only installation and after that i was able to connect Db with SQL management studio.
As soon as i have started PI installation after SWPN created DB schema ,granted permission for users and restarted Db engine ...boom error in ABAP import phase as "R3load.exe failed to testconnect with return code2".
I have updated r3trans,r3load,dbsl lib.etc but no good also i have tried to open MS sql management studio but now it is giving error as
"unable to connect with <SID>ADM user"

From the error and other description it seems that there is some misconfiguration with setup. You need to provide the FQDN name of the server as might server name is not resolving its name properly and so facing issue. As seems from below details:

Please check the DNS record, check certificate whether it match FQDN name of the server with certificate name, also try to check to connect with IP address and see what result you can find.
