Kindly help me for below requirement for SAP BW 7.4 on HANA implementation.
ECC Side:
1.     BW 7.4 SP05 or SP07 required patch level for ECC system (SP and EHP level)?
2.     What are the Configuration needs to be activated to support extraction?
3.     Any other important & technical step to be activated or required?
4.     Pre-req for connectivity
5.     Is there any CTC wizard for Connectivity to ECC (Source system)?

I would like to load e.g. transaction data from SAP ECC system into SAP BI system.
The Loading process is hanging in processing step u201CSERVICE APIu201D.
The process in hanging in status "yellow" and then changed after a while to status u201Credu201D.

Hi Holger.
this issue is related to the RFC but not the one which is communicating from BI to R/3 rather the one which is communicating from R/3 to BI follow these steps.
1. check your BI system logical name from the myself source system.
2. go the ECC and run the transaction sm59
3. go the ABAP Connection folder and search for your RFC which name would be by default as per your BI logical system name.
4. double click it and edit it now check whether the Target hostname or ip is OK.
5. In the logon tab check the client number User and password settings.
Save it and test it with both Connection Test and Remote Logon.
if every thing work fine i hope your problem will be solved.

Hi GTS Experts,
Could you please let me know how to connect between SAP GTS and Legacy systems.
This is for transfer of Customers, Vendors,Materials(Products in GTS),Transaction Data.
Could you please provide any documentation on this and is it PI team will do or functional guy.
One more question:
Customer created a sales order with sold to and ship to(both contains same address) in legacy system.
Then it will be sent to SPL screening in GTS.
Now he will change ship to address and this should not be passed to SPL screening-- how to do this.

Apart from what Dave mentioned as above, although there is no such document available apart from SAP Standard content document but its something that is very standard to other modules as well.
Actually, you need to have a middle ware like SAP PI or any non SAP Product between SAP and Non SAP Legacy system. Also, mapping should be defined well in advance in this. Then it will also involve the EDI at the SAP GTS system end and Web skills( or applicale connection skills) at the Legacy system end to ensure appropriate mapping and interchange of realistic data.
Here, I would like to know if your legacy system had already some SAP system connected to it?.

1, in rebates there is no advanced rebate processing in 4.7
2. there is no scale group field in condrecords of agrement in rebate agreement.
3. there are lot of new reports available in SIS
4. in sales returns process also seperate config available in 6.0

Establishing a connection between SAP SRM and MM

Dear All,
I am working for a multi-national company and now we are thinking to implement SAP SRM but I have some questions about communication between SAP MM and SRM. Firstly I want so share with you our as-is status and then my doubts and question that I have.
In our case we have two different locationed organizations which are using different version of SAP system and SAP MM. In this two sap system mostly codes are and descriptions are different for all materials and now we want gather all data and we want to have one global code system and (local code also will remain). I mean we want to call same materials with one global unique code instead of two different codes. We are thinking to implement something like coding center that will take local master data from local organization then will assign global code, update table then with somehow will update SAP SRM.
For example:
We have local master data on R/3 is maintained manually by local user and net item is created locally each country by local user.Coding center will be aware of new creation by mail, automatically. Coding center will update table (adding a new row for each new item) on translator (tool for assigning global code for materials) assign to each new item a global code and category and in this way SRM will be updated automatically based on translator.
I am thinking to develeop a tool (excel,access etc.) that will take new item creation manually or auto from local organization then will assign a global code and category then will update SAP SRM automatically
Regarding to tool I have some questions:
1)     which are the standard communication channel between R/3 and SRM or How they can speak with each other ?
2)     Is there any standart batch file (BI or BAPI) to be able to perform this.Is it possible to develop tool using excel or access etc. which will manage coding task.
3)     When we are trasferring for the first time Master Data from MM to SRM is there any standard transaction?
4)     how the two MD are aligned (i.e. what if a new item is created or modified on MM)?
5)     standard program (transaction) for aligning available ?
6)     ) how this process can be triggered (scheduled using SAP scheduler, event or user driven)
7)     Where the translator (tool) should be (R/3 local, SRM, BW, other) --> Enrichment table
8)     How we can build the communication transaction?

Hi,
Have you considered using CCM. You generally use an industry standard code (perhaps UNSPSC) in CCM as your vendors would all have different number (similar to your scenario). CCM is a plug-in to SRM, supplied by SAP.
The authoring tool is where you can enrich your catalogue, and have approval dependant on rules that you setup. In your case you would possibly have a catalogue per locationed organisation (or R/3 system). These would then be mapped to a master catalogue, and assigned to users as views. This tool is a BSP on SRM. You could also upload these catalogues from Excel (as a CSV) or through XI as XML. We use the automatic transfer of materials from R3 and then there is a report in SRM to feed that through to the catalogue.
The only thing that needs to be thought through is how you feed the selected catalogue item back to the differing R3 systems, but this shouldn't be a stumbling point.

How to find the difference in BI Content between SAP ERP 4.7 and ECC 6.0

We are looking at upgrading our SAP system from 4.71 to ECC 6.0, and I have been tasked with determining what new data may become available in our BW system after the upgrade. I was wondering if there was a site that would tell me what new datasources/infoproviders are made available after an upgrade to ECC 6.0.
I do not need to see the list of all Business Content in ECC 6.0, just what has changed.
Also, the type of upgrade we are looking at performing is a "Technical Upgrade", which presumably just upgrades the SAP back end without affecting the front end. Can someone confirm that the new BW content will then be available after a technical upgrade?

After opening the site, please select the Source Release Version which is 4.6 b Then Select the Target Release Version which is "mySAP ERP 2005" or ECC 6.0

Connection between SAP and Documentum

Hi All,
We are retrieving some files from Documentum from an ABAP report in SAP using HTTP connection (using Web services). We were successful connections in DEV and QA.
Now in production, this server is load balacing on 3 servers. Their Prod Server is actually a content switch which redirects to one of the three servers. SAP is able to access all their three servers separately. However when I use the same code to access the Documentum content switch, it fails. We get a HTTP 404 - Not found error -
Here is the excerpt of code where this error is coming up-

The Documentum Prod server (content switch) is supposed to be transparent and thus SAP should be able to connect. But this does not happen. Any ideas if any other config is required for SAP to connect to a content switch?

If you want to connect an external system to BW and extract data to BW and the BW system is the leading system.
You need a RFC server, or UD connect (https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/library/uuid/943de6c3-0401-0010-b7a4-8b1af193f642) or you can use db connect or you can extract flat files.
All of these possibilies are decribed in the online help and in howto papers.
