Hi roki
I think you need a CA-42 cable. All drivers can be found:

  • Connecting Internet Via data cable

How to connect internet through Apple data cable.. ?? without WIFI

You can't connect to the internet via a cable connected to your iPad, it won't be recognised. You can either connect to a wifi network directly on your iPad via Settings > WiFi, or do you only have a wired conncetion to your computer and not a wifi network ? If you do then you might be able to share the connection from your PC to your iPad e.g. windows ICS, or, depending the type of wired connection, you might be able to plug your cable into an AirPort Express and use that to create a wifi network

I want to connect a usb drive via adapter cable to my nokia C2-01.is this phone support usb otg feature as in nokia x2-00?if not then please recomend a method to connect a usb drive to this phone..
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi mate,
Sadly the Nokia C2-01 does not support USB OTG functionality. There is no method AT ALL to connect a USB device to this phone in the way that you have stated. If you require storage then instead of a USB drive you can use a microSD card up to 32GB, as the phone supports it.

  • Mac driver for Nokia CA-42 data cable

I bought the Nokia CA-42 data cable w/o realizing that it only supported PC operating systems. I want to sync my Nokia 6820 phone w/iSync 2.2, but I'am currently stalled. Has a driver for the Mac been created?
    help needed here!
    eMac   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

I bought a CA-42 cable for my Nokia 3220. I have Virtual PC v.6.1.0 and Windows XP Pro installed on my eMac. I have enough RAM to handle running VPC/WinXP and Mac OS X at the same time (768 MB). Can I use the cable to connect my phone to my Mac, but while running VPC and WinXP? The phone SHOULD think it's connected to a PC shouldn't it?
I want to use the Nokia PC Suite to manage my phone, but also to back it up, as I want to have it flashed, and need to save everything, first.
I haven't been successful, so far, and would like to know if using Windows on VPC can be done, what settings I need to adjust, or if you have to actually have a PC (which would be a real downer [G]). This would be so much simpler if Nokia would just come out with a Mac version of their suite.Thanks.

  • Nokia 8800 / 8801 Data Cable or Car Kit - Anyone H...

Does anyone know how or where to get any of these. I do recall that Nokia made a data cable for the 8800 but cannot find one.Instead I bought a cable from eBay which fits into the back of the handset but this does not work.
    Nokia E71 RM-346
    400.21.013

The 8801 is the same as the Nokia 8800.
However the 8801 is designed for the US market, because it has a different radio module in it.
It is Quad Band, but instead of working on GSM900 it operates on GSM850. Because there are no GSM850 Networks in the UK then that handset will only work on GSM 1800 or GSM 1900 Networks. GSM 1800 Networks are available in the UK those are T-Mobile and Orange - in dense areas of population you may get some Voda or O2 but not nationally. Vodafone and O2 use GSM 900 Networks and as such the 8801 will not pick them up.
As the handset is the same as the 8800 there is no data cable connection, and again the only way to connect it is by Bluetooth.
I'm guessing that you did not get the phone in the UK?
    Shunts...
I will mostly be communicating with a Nokia E72 Zodium Black
Nokia E72-1 with Vr 051.018.207.04 Software
If this post helped... Add some kudos!!

how do I connect my new (purchased last week) macbook air to my samsung smart tv? I purchased the adapter at the apple store and connected to the TV via HDMI cable.  The TV says "no signal.  I do not see TV as an option in the display tab of system preferences.  what else do I need to do?

First, make sure your TV is tuned to display the correct input signal. Most TVs have several inputs (multiple HDMIs, cable connections, RCA etc) so double-check that you're using the correct one - HDMI1, HDMI2 or whatever is written next to the port.
I assume that you have a mini-Displayport to HDMI adaptor? If you open displays preferences, first tick the box that says "show display preferences in menu bar" then locate the menu and click Detect Displays. See if that helps.

  • Macbook Pro suddenly will not connect to the internet via ethernet cable.

I know this is a long shot... but I figured I would give it a try.
My macbook pro suddenly does not connect to the internet via ethernet cable. Please bear with me, as I am not very tech-savvy - I will try my best to describe the symptoms!
I connect to the internet via ethernet (we don't have wifi). It was working before I went to work, and when I came home I suddenly couldn't get anything to work (I know everyone says this, but I truly didn't mess with anything). Internet browsers just think for awhile and then turn up the 'You are not connected to the internet' error.
I went into my network preferences and curiously, the 'Ethernet' shows a green dot and says 'connected'. However it says 'Authentication server is not responding' underneath the last part that says '802.1X: WPA: eduroam' (I think that is my user profile).
When I go into my 'security' settings I can see that my firewall is off, so that shouldn't be causing any problems.
I've tried restarting the router and computer itself many times. Diagnostics just gets to a certain point and reports back 'Network Diagnostics cannot fix the current networking problems.' I've also tried switching to a different ethernet cable, and I tried both cables out on a PC laptop and it connected without issue.  Additionally, I brought my macbook along to a friend's house and it connected to his wifi just fine, so the problem appears to just be with ethernet connections.
I know it's hard to troubleshoot this kind of thing without being there and having a look at the computer yourself, but any tips wouild be greatly appreciated.

As I mentioned above, I am not very tech savvy so I have no idea why a wireless protocol would be showing up there, I'm just listing everything I see in hopes that someone might know something I can try. This is why I am asking for help here - I'm not sure what has happened that has made me unable to connect, especially since it seemingly occured while nobody was using the computer.
I guess I should clarify that I'm not a total hillbilly- normally my firewall is set to 'on', but I set it to 'off' to try and troubleshoot the issues here as I was told that sometimes it can interfere with the computer's ability to connect to the internet. If this is not the case and firewall does not affect anything, I will turn it back on while I try to fix this.
I have tried the method you mentioned above a few times - I actually contacted my ISP earlier this week and they recommended resetting the router like that. They didn't mention any known network issues.

I have a 3rd party hard drive with movies on it ,it is connected to my airport extreme. The AE is connected to my tv via ethernet cable. Can I stream my movies to the Tv ?

    Not without a player..
The AE is a dumb file server.. the hard disk you plug in is an even dumber hard disk.
There are no smarts in this setup.. not even DLNA. So the TV would have to be an extremely smart one to read raw files on a network drive.. none do that I know of.
A solution is WD live TV.. it can read files from just about any file source on network and play them to the TV.
Nothing apple makes will do that.. ATV is a streamer not a media player. Everything in the Apple world is tied up with itunes. So you must have a computer running itunes to use it.
You can download a more generic player for ipad, and put that as part of the network.. but you still need ATV to display the video.

  • Can I use AirPlay from my PC to my AppleTV when connected to an AirPort via LAN cable?

Well as stated above I'm wondering if I can use AirPlay from my PC to my AppleTV when my PC is connected via LAN cable to an AirPort.
I'm asking because usually your PC has to be on the same Wifi as your other Apple device, so AirPlay can function, and id love the ability to Stream via AirPlay but still be connected to the internet via LAN cable.
Thanks in advance for any help!

AirPlay is not restricted to wireless only. It can also work over Ethernet. Basically as long as there is a connection (on the same subnet) between the iTunes host and the AirPlay "speaker" streaming should take place without any issues.
FWIW, My Win8 PC is connected to a Time Capsule via Ethernet. In turn my Apple TV is connected to the TC's wireless network. I have no trouble streaming from the PC to the Apple TV in this configuration.

i have att u verse modem and it wi fi was not working. So i got net gear wi fi  and connected to att modem .  i connected my apple TV via Ethernet cable to att uverse modem . i did not want slow down my wi fi speed.  My Apple phone is on Netgear wifi .Now airplay is not working .

Make sure that the Att Modem goes to the netgear router via ethernet cable. Then connect your Apple Tv with a ethernet cable to the back of the net gear router. Airplay wants it to both be connected to the same device, usually.

  • Could not connect Nokia 6303i via USB cable to Win...

    Hello guys in this forum
    Hello driver development group
This is not a question for help, but more a question for sharing experiences. I recently bought a new Nokia 6303i, worked a little bit with it and finally I wanted to connect it to the PC to enter the contacts from my old phone with the computer keyboard instead of the phonebook keys.
Well, the installation sounded quite easy at a first glance: Download the Nokia OVI suite, connect the Nokia phone to the PC and go on. I did that way, but it just did not work.
The PC I'm using is an Acer laptop, Windows 7 64 Bit system, MS Office 2003, Visual Studio 2003/2005, Firefox, Thunderbird and VMWare Workstation, Comodo Firewall and free-av virus scanner installed. Nothing special, nothing I could not handle, especially no games or other special hardware drivers that could interfere -- most software is installed in virtual machines, so the main computer is rather "naked". I connected the phone to the PC in the "Mass storage mode" to get a drive letter, and installed the OVI suite from the SD card. Worked quite well, and finally I re-connected the phone to the Windows PC.
The phone was detected as "NOKIA" in the Windows explorer. I chose "PC Suite" on the phone and started the OVI suite - but nothing. OVI suite told me: "Detected device: NOKIA. Phone is not in PC Suite mode". Eeeh?!?
I tried it several times, but no chance. Although "PC Suite" was active on the phone, the phone was not recognized. Ok, I though, either a problem with the drivers or a hardware problem. So let's see what an older operating system would tell me. I switched on a Windows XP 32 Bit system in my VMWare virtualisation software and connected the phone. The phone connected but did not directly work. I had to use the "mass storage mode" setting to get a drive letter. I installed the OVI suite that was shipped on the SD card (which deleted itself from the SD card later -- baaad habit, I was hopelessly searching for it later on, but ok...). Then I disconnected the phone, reconnected, chose "PC suite mode" and... perfect, stable connection, OVI suite was working totally fine! So I disconnected the phone and closed the VMware machine again.
Ok, so a problem with Windows 7 64 bit. I deinstalled the OVI suite, downloaded the most recent version from the web which obviously was said to support Windows 7 64 bit, installed, reconnected the phone... nothing. Same situation as before.
I deinstalled OVI suite again and downloaded/installed the most recent version of PC suite -- which was said to contain all connectivity drivers including for Windows 7 64 bit. I connected the phone started PC suite and... well, phone detected, but used in "compatibility mode", although the "PC suite mode" was chosen on the phone. But ok, let's see what I can do in the compatibility mode. Full of hope I clicked on the "address book" in PC suite. The phone reacted, it said "PC suite mode activated". Hoping... Hoping... then it said again "PC suite mode activated". Eeh? It is already activated!?! 10 Seconds later: PC tolds me: "Phone could not be switched to PC suite mode. Shhhhh*t!
I googled as hell, and then I saw that I should use the PC suite cleaner before installing. Ok, PC suite deinstalled, PC suite cleaner used, PC suite reinstalled, phone connected... nothing, same behaviour.
Next tip I read: Install the connectivity driver manually. Ok, everything deinstalled (and I mean, everything! All components in the program list that were entitled to be from NOKIA: PC suite, the two drivers and something else I cannot remember). I downloaded the connectivity driver, connected the phone, phone was recognized as "NOKIA" like before. I installed PC suite again and... nothing. Same behaviour. Arrr*h!
The final tip that really helped: I read somewhere in the web that Windows 7 was using the wrong drivers. I took a look in the control panel, looked up the NOKIA phone in the device manager, took a look to the drivers, and indeed. The driver that Windows 7 was using was somehow from 2008!?! So that was an internal driver of Windows 7 and not the newly installed Windows 7 driver which I manually installed!
I clicked on the button "Update drivers" for the "NOKIA" phone and manually chose the connectivity drivers in the "C:\Program Files\NOKIA\Connectivity..." or-something-like-that folder. Suddenly the phone was re-recognized: "NOKIA phone USB parent". That was new!
But now, the PC suite on the PC did not recognize the phone at all andmore. Hmmm, a new look to the device manager revealed the reason: A couple of new devices were detected, but all with an exclamation mark. Drivers not found. But with a little bit of luck... I opened every such device in the device manager and told Windows to update the drivers. It asked me for a path where the drivers were saved, and here I just specified the path of the nokia connectivity drivers again (this "C:\Program Files\NOKIA\Connectivity..." or-something-like-that folder). That worked! Now I got one after the other the COM-port driver, OBEX and etc...
At the end I startet PC suite... whahoooo, it works! Phone connected and address book editable! Uff. Nice.
    So a deep driver problem.
Then I did a near-mistake: I wanted to update the operating system on my NOKIA phone. I installed the phone update manager in Windows 7, left the PC suite, started the update manager and it immediately recognized the phone. I started it and in told me: "Do not touch the phone or anything", time 15 Minutes. I waited and waited and saw the phone screen disappearing, but ok. I saw the USB drivers being disconnected and trying to be reinstalled, but Windows did not recognize it. But I did not touch anything. Then, the Hiobs-message from the update manager: "Phone disconnected during update. Please swich on and reconnect". Whaaaaa?!?!?
Ok, disconnected the phone, switched off, switched on, reconnected. But Windows 7 did not recognize it correctly anymore. Some unknown devices in the device manager, only the "NOKIA phone USB parent" was still working correctly, and there was now an unknown device which I was not able to activate by specifying drivers manually (it was most likely a USB flash device what I figured out later). And the phone behaved strangely, sometimes crashing when hoovering through the menues... EEEhhh.....
Ok, emergency plan, phone nearly destroyed. I again turned on my VMware and connected the phone to the OVI software in the virtual Windows XP. Still worked fine. I clicked on the update menu item of OVI suite. OVI suite was detecting the phone software, downloaded the new version and started to update. Again it told me: Wait 15 minutes, do not touch anything. And I did. I saw Windows reconfiguring its hardware settings as new hardware was detected, and there were problems in installing a "USB flash device", but the software did not cancel. And finally: Update successful! Uff... I checked the phone (*#0000#), and it was ok. Uuuuh.
Then I switched off the virtual machine, conected the phone again to Windows 7, but there was still a driver problem. Most devices had an exclamation mark. I manually deinstalled all the NOKIA drivers in the device manager and actuivated the "Delete driver from system" checkbox whereever possible -- including the "NOKIA phone USB parent". I removed the phone from the USB cable and plugged it on again. Now windows re-recognized it as "NOKIA" phone, but again used its own internal -- wrong -- driver set. I switched the driver again as described above to the Nokia Connectivity drivers in the program folder, got again the "USB parent" and the unknown devices, manually specified the drivers for the unknown devices by using the path to the Connectivity drivers and finally I got the situation from before the update: Nokia PC suite running fine, I can access my contacts and do anything I like in Windows 7 64 bit.
That was a nightmare and took me about two days intensive research and testing. What a mess...
I hope I could help anyone of you with this when you have trouble installing the PC/OVI suite in Windows 7. And don't try to update the phone in Windows 7, it's dangerous at the moment!
Probably you guys from the driver development can take a more close look to Windows 7 64 bit and its own pre-installed drivers. Does anyone of you have similar experiences?
    Best regards,
      Mighty Knife

Uhm, I'm experiencing the same problem with some Linux relase. Unfortunately I was unable to solve the problem if not installing a windows emulator. Maybe you're already familiar with it, but it seems the only solution. Through google I found this, I hope I made you a favor.

  • Connection of Nokia 6020 to PC with CA-42 cable

    Hi everybody,
I have several times tried to set up a connection between my 6020 phone and the latest version of PC Suite on my PC using a CA-42 cable but whatever I do, the PC doesn't recognise the phone. I can't find any clues in the help files nor anywhere else.
The OS on my PC is Windows XP Home edition SP3.
Has anyone had the same problem and what might be the solution?

Sorry, I have already tried this, but the available driver is version 7.1.34.0, whereas the driver in the downloaded PC Suite is 7.1.36.0. In the attempt to install the 34 version, the message appears that a newer driver is installed and the installation process cancelled.
