Connectivity trouble shooting

I am sorry to generalize. I can be more specific if needed. I have a site that my wireless aps cannot connect, there are 5 aironet 1230's on 4 floors to 4 diffewrent switches. All broadcasts go through fine, dhcp, arp and cdp. I cannot ping any device on that vlan however even from the switch they are directly connected to and see them with cdp neighbor. The vlan is active and the network has been up without problems for six months. What are some show commands I can use to find out why unicast packets are being either dropped or timing out. All interfaces are up and up. The vlan is up and up and active. I can ping the interface on the router that is that vlans default gateway from each switch. The switches are 4000 switches with one acting as the core. The 4 switches are trunked to the core switch then the feeds for each vlan are patched to the routers interfaces from the core switch. The feed ports on the core switch are vlanned and up and up. The core switch is the vtp server and the rest are clients. The router has no trunks to the core so it does not recieve vtp updates. Can you clarify a few things for us.
1. Are users on the same VLAN unable to communicate with each other?
2. Are 2 users connected to the same switch and are on the same VLAN able to communicate with each other.
3. Have you checked the VLAN database of the switches to see if they are learning the VLANs from the VTP server.
4. Can the users ping their default gateway. I am assuming the core 4000 switch is configured as the gateway for the users, correct?
5. I am not familiar with APs but I assume they could have users assigned to different VLANs. If that's how you have the AP setup then are you trunking between the AP and the switches?

Disabling the computer's antivirus and firewall during the download and update usually resolves the timeout error.

Neither of my iPods will connect to iTunes.. iTunes recognizes that there's an iPod for each.. but that it can't open it in iTunes.. they were both connecting fine prior to the last update. went through the list of trouble shooting.

Since the last update, I iTunes pops up with an error message when I connect both iPods.. the older Nano (4th or 5th generation) will show up as a dirve on Windoes.. but the new Nano (the latest generation) will show up as a dirve until the error message pops up on itunes.. then it dissapearsll.. and both get the same error message.. that itunes detects an ipod, but it can not be identified properly.. it suggest I unplug and replug. (done that several times) or the uninstall and reinstall iTunes (won't work either) .. and the trouble shooting isn't changing anything.

I have an AT&T contracted iphone 5. Cannot send mms to anyone but other iPhone users. If you search the Internet, you'll see that the problem is everywhere...both the carriers and Apple are actling like the problem belongs to the other, or feigning any knowledge (which is kind of funny since the no MMS thing was in an ios6 beta that was released awhile ago, so I KNOW apple knows about it). No, I'm not running a beta (obviously, I just got my iphone 5). Awesome. Have a great camera on this thing, but cannot send OR receive MMS from anyone other than other iphone users. Gotta love it.

Trouble shooting while connecting Ms SQL Server 2008

hi everyone i ve a trouble shooting while connecting to sql server. my whole sql connection code is here. i m using windows 7 64bit. i ve download jdk for 64bit and download jdbc driver too. in the jdbc driver folder i ve copied sqljdbc.jar file in to C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\lib\ext then i ve copied to C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_19\jre\lib\ext then C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\lib\ext. i m not sure to where to copy. also finally i ve copied sqljdbc_auth.dll file in to C:\Windows\System32. there r two sqljdbc_auth.dll files one is 32bit other one is 64bit i checked to c folder and i see there r two microsoft sql server folders one is under program files one is under programfiles(x86). i just copied sqljdbc_auth.dll 64bit version in to system32 folder. i just found these infos from internet. i m new in java. when i run the program i get an error message which is :

Each router is a little different but here are the basics: login to the router using the administrator account, should have that info from the installer, and then you should find something like security settings, or it may be advanced security. There will be a setting to the effect of limiting access, or it may say allow Mac address authentication, or admit the Mac addresses in the table...if that is switched on, you can just switch it off and that will allow any wireless device to attach. If you want to keep it on, then you have to enter the Mac address for the device you want to use for access. In the case of the iPad, go to Settings > General > About > WiFi Address (another way of saying Mac address). Enter that very long sequence in the router's Mac address acceptance table and that should take care of things.
Using the Mac address does not change any of the email settings, just limits attaching to the router in the first place.
If you are already getting email, you must be attaching already so this should not be an issue. If you are having email issues, such as receive but not send, you may not have the outgoing server set correctly: Settings > Mail > Account > Outgoing server name (usually an SMTP server) and you may have to go to the advanced settings to enter the outgoing password (normally the same as the account/incoming password) and then check to see if SSL is ON or OFF...most common email services say to set to OFF.

This is the appropriate behavior.. Most email programs (browsers too) store attachments (or files) in a cache area. You then need to do a save as to more them to a different location. The plug-in is finding the pdf in the location determined by the email program, so that is the last place the plug-in used. It doesn’t have a different location to use.

:-) the problem is solved. Thanks to a great typ in one of the other discussions with alt+cmd+S iTunes looks again like something I recognize. After removing the iPod from iMac and also from the connecting "holder", turning it on ad off, rebooting the iMac, maggic happens and the iPod now shows in iTunes and everything works just fine.

When I call a iPhone or iPad user on my iMac using FaceTime, the person being call can hear the ring but cannot connect. Does anyone have any trouble shooting advise???

Its too bad that your phone is out of warranty because this is most likely a manufacturer fault. You need to take it back to Apple. If it is not a manufacturing fault, then go to any shop that your network owns and talk to them about this problem.
