Connectivity with TMobile Network- 9110 Communicat...

I have an old Nokia 9110 which once l charged the batteries works. However when l did a network search it only recognised O2 and Vodaphone. Here is a challenge to all you boffins out there - why is this? Is their a fix?
If so how do l achieve connectivity?
Richard

I used to have one of these.
The Nokia 9110 only supports GSM 900mhz networks, not 1800/1900mhz.
Internet access is via dailup at 9600/14400bps (CSD/ISDN v110/v120 was added with the 9210) - check the internet dailup number with your network service provider.
9110's can have the memory corrupted if a reboot or power less occuring during file updates.
This is fixed by a format and restore from Backup.
Install a 'reboot' program if needed, otherwise you will end up removing the battery.
A common fault is the battery block falling off - so do not remove it unless it's essential.
9110 used it's own version of PC Suite.

  • Impossible connecting with wireless network Netgear WNR 2000

I can not log on to my wireless network (Netgear WNR 2000) with my macbook. My other PC:s work fine and connect always. My Macbook only connect after I have restarted the router. When I use my Macbook in other places I can connect with wireless network. What is the problem?

I'm assuming that you're using the right network password!  After that, the most common causes of difficulty are:
    - The router not set up for DHCP and so cannot allocate an IP address to the MacBook
    - The router has "MAC" Address Authentication (a security feature - don't mistake MAC for Mac[intosh]) turned on and the AirPort MAC address isn't in the pass list.
    - The default "Automatic" location in System Preferences > Networks has been modified so that it no longer works.

  • No connection with mobile network

My phone (which was bought only 2 days ago) has suddenly lost connection with mobile network. "Emergency calls only" is written on lock screen, near signal power bar there is a small red 'x'. I tried turning it off and on, tacking sim card out and putting it back in, trying to connect to mobile network manually through the settings "Service providers" (it says "Could not connect to network now. Please try again later." when I try to connect manually), changing network mode (to all possible modes). Still no luck. I can't send an sms or make a call.
    What should I do?

I got similar issue but the only thing is phones randomly disconnects itself from the mobile network in some days. Then no matter you manually search for the network and try registering, it simply wont connect to any network.Your only solution is to reset the phone or turn off and on and it again auto catches your operator.

  • Very poor connection with wifi network with mini iPad.

I recently bought à new mini iPad. The connection with wifi network is lost very often  and therefor not Stable. I tried the tips such as forgetting the network and connecting again, but that doesn't help. What can I do?

    Do #5.
    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

  • Netgear router won't let me connect with a network my new roomates use

I have had this problem before connecting to wireless networks, although not all of them. I just moved in with a friend who gave me the network name and password. Although my powerbook G4 sees her network, it shows an error message when i try to connect with the password. She set up the Netgear (WGT624 v3) router using her DELL and everyone else in the house (using PC's) don't have this problem. I'm wondering if we need to go through what she has set up on her computer, because I must have tried everything on mine! Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

    Hi tracie,
thats OK I know how hard wi-fi is to setup, I've spent many hours in the past trying to figure out how to set mine up! Its usually the simplest of things.
Your MAC address or Airport ID (as Apple call it) is a string of a series of 6 two digit numbers/letters separated by a colon e.g. 00:2b:35:18:af:32
This identifies your Airport card on a network & your address can be viewed in System Pref.s/Network, then from the drop down "Show" menu choose "Airport" & then click the Airport tab that appears in the row of buttons & you should see your Airport card's MAC address (Airport ID). But if you cant find that option don't worry about it.
While your in Network Sys Pref click show port config. & drag the Airport entry to the top of the list.
If you do try WEP again, go to router's
    Wireless Settings > Wireless network
& insure the Mode is set to "g and b" just incase.
Then > Security Options & click WEP.
Then in > Security Encryption > Authentication type
    set to Shared key
    Also > Encryption Strength
    set 128bit
After that go down to > Security Encryption (WEP) Key
in Passphrase enter your new password & click the Generate button on the right - this will bring up your HEX key in the checked "Key" box below.
write this new generated key down & click Apply & log out.
Now on your PB open the Airport network entry window, change top box from "WEP Password" to "WEP 40/128-bit HEX"
Then enter the generated key you wrote down into the box below, & click ok/join.
Keep 'em crossed & you "should" join.

  • Can't establish internet connection with NAT network in Oracle virtualbox

    Hi all,
I am new to Oracle virtualbox. I have created a new virtual machine with Oracle linux 5.5 (64bit). I have enabled the NAT networking adaptor so as to access internet connection from the VM. But I am not able to do so.
Here are the network settings in the VM
    1. Automatically obtain IP address settings with DHCP
    2. Firewalls are disabled.
The 'eth0' device shows active status. The #ifconfig command lists "inet address" as 10.0.2.15.
Please let me know if any additional configuration is required for establishing the internet connection in the VM.

The NAT engine of Virtualbox automatically provides a router between the network interface of your host system and the virtual network interface of your guest OS and offers the same DNS servers to the guest that are configured on the host.
For more information how it works, see http://www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch06.html#network_nat.
The problem you are experiencing is most likely with the network configuration of your host system.

  • IPad will not connect with extended network and/or guest network

I have extended my main network (AP Extreme) with an AP Express and uses a guest network too, all Macs, PC's, iPhones, game consoles, mediaplayers can connect to the internet with both networks. Only one device does not work with the main network and that is the iPad (1st gen). It can connect to the guest network, though. If i disconnect the Express, the iPad can connect with the main network or if I set the guest network to off it will too. But  I want to connect to the main network (remote access).
    Device.                          Network.          iPad internetconnection
    Extreme.                        Main.               Yes
    Extreme + Express.       Main.               Yes
Extreme.                        Main + guest    Yes both
Extreme + Express.       Main + guest.   NO
I have reset the network configurations on the iPad and it works for only one time, if the iPad goes into sleep mode and restarts, the connections is lost. The iPad seems to be connected with the router/AP but no internet access.
    Fyi
    - all devices have a fixed IP address dedicated by the Airport. i tried to use DHCP, but no difference
    - radio channels on automatic
    - all on 2,4 GHz band
IS THIS A IPAD 1 ISSUE and do I have to accept the fact that Apple does not support the iPad 1 anymore?
Any suggestions how to fix this? Thank you.

    Thank you for the suggestion.
The name of my home wifi network is automatically found by the iPad and after I select it the iPad asks for a password.  I have typed in my password that I use with my laptop, but it does not work.
I also tried the two alpha numeric 13 digit strings on my router.  It is actually a Belkin.  Neither of those worked either.
finally, I went into general as I could not find settings to tell the iPad to forget network settings?

  • Mac not connecting with PC network

I'm attempting to connect my Mac to a wireless internet network through a PC. The PC is connected through Qwest with a D-link router. The PC connection is working fine.
The Mac sees the network and requests a password. I type the password, but nothing happens.
I don't know what other information to provide here.
    Thanks!

    Welcome to the forums Lewis!
Try putting a dollar sign in front of the Password, and make sure its 5 or 13 digits if WEP.

  • 10.4.10 connectivity with secure network, 2wire router

It's obvious in the forums that the 10.4.10 update is causing some wireless connectivity problems in secure networks like my SBC DSL connection that uses a 2Wire modem/router combo. Kernel panic every 5 minutes or so with multi-lingual message prompting for hard restart by pushing the power button displayed enormously on-screen about the size of a can lid. Pretty outrageous I'd say!
So I decided to go with a clean install of OS X and decline upgrade to 10.4.10 and now it seems to be working fine again.
My question: Has mac released any kind of statement regarding this because I am yet to witness one. Should we expect mac to make the appropriate changes or should we seek our ISPs for support?

would it just be possible to use my 2wire as a regular DSL modem with some other router? Would that help? Should I find a new ISP? Should I hope for an update from apple? It appears to only be affecting 2wire routers, or possibly other secure gateways...

  • Ipad seldom connects with wifi network

14 month old ipad2 worked for almost a year. Lately, it just won't connect to my home wifi network unless I walk it upstairs. I used the ipad in the precisely same location as I use a Kindle Fire and a Dell Laptop, neither of which has ever failed to connect. EVER!. The 'genious' at Apple in San Diego says there is nothing wrong with it. Really?
Obviously, something has changed, and it also obviously is not my network. So, how do I turn this $800 paper weight back into an ipad?

  • No connection with the network facetime and iMessage

    Hello, friends
I asse an annoying problem on my mac I can not seem to connect on a more factime Imessage and even a clean install, cleaning hots file, setting dns server networks.
Settings of the time with the servers, nothing works.
FYI I do not have "little snitch".
I know that there are plenty of post and tutorial on Google, but not work. anyone have an idea?
    Cordially.

I have the same problem, as do many others I've seen posting here since the iOS 7 update; I haven't found anything to help though many have tried (which I do appreciate). The only thing anyone has posted that sounds promising is wiping clean and doing a factory reset which I am hesitant to do since a couple folks seem to have lost email & data doing that and I don't think it has a 100% success rate from what I've read in the various threads.
Hopefully Apple will fix this sooner rather than later.
