does anyone know, if there is a cable available for an ipod touch, to connect the ipod to a home stereo system receiver to playback music through that system? i would imagine it would be a cable with 2 rca jacks for the receiver end and the usual plug for the ipod output. thanks for any info you may have.

All the documentation seems to be restricted to G4s,
When the adapter came out the only ADC computers were G4s. They haven't updated the documentation, but it will work on a G5.

Need Power Connector Cable for ATI Radeon X1900 XT

I need the 6pin power connector/cable for my ATI Radeon X1900 XT to work with my Mac Pro.
I can't use the card as I lost the small cable pior to installation and now I can't find one anywhere.
It is the 6 pin cable that connects into the Radeon X1900 XT and the other end into the Mac Pro motherboard.
Can someone help me?

MacBook Pro 5,1 superdrive bay SATA connector cable failure?

Hi, first post... couldn't find an answer.
I've been running a Seagate 750GB HDD in the optical drive bay (using OWC data doubler) and an OWC 128GB SSD in the drive bay for 3 months. All absolutely perfect and extremely fast.
Suddenly the HDD seemed to fail right out of the blue so I've sent it back under warranty (3 months of use). Inaccessible, could not format etc.
However I've since put the SSD in the data doubler slot and things are not good. It won't boot (folder and question-mark icon), then it will boot if I hold down 'option' key during boot up and select the SSD, then it hangs with the beach ball after, say, 15 mins and has to be hard rebooted.
SSD is back in the hard drive bay now... this setup is running fast and fine.
My question before I receive my Seagate HDD replacement and restore my data are there any ideas of the likely problem?
It seems likely that perhaps the drive wasn't the issue. Doing a bit of googling it seems the superdrive SATA connector cable may suddenly be faulty? Or the connection to the logic board is not perfect (looking at at, it did not seem 100 flush/flat, but it WAS clicked in position)? Or, could it be the logic board? But if it is the logic board would the disc even run at all (as mentioned, it did, for a short while).
Appreciate your thoughts on this.

What do I do when AppleTV is stuck on screen with iTunes app icon showing with a white connector cable pictured underneath?

I just did the Software Update and now it sits with the white connector cable pictured below the iTunes icon... I've tried unplugging both the power cord and the HDMI cord connecting AppleTV to the tv, and then plug them both in... Same thing though. Won't move past that screen and I'm not sure what its trying to tell me. The light on the box itself is blinking quickly and stops blinking when I push buttons on the remote, but the screen doesn't change. Eventually it just goes into standby mode.

If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Source list, and then click Restore.

Dock Connector Cables

I have a dock connector cable from the original iPhone and several of the new dock connector cables from the iphone 3GS, 4, and ipad. The cables are physically different - the dock connector side is longer on the cable that came with my iphone v1. Are these cable interchangeable? Or is the original cable perhaps a slower speed/earlier version of USB? I have had employees at the apple store tell me both answers. One said - no, you shouldn't use the original cable on a newer device. Another said the only difference is the physical nature of the connector and functions identically.

If the Dock cable has 5.1 volts power it should charge some in sleep mode.
Give it a try and let us know.
Someone need to cut open a short USB extender cable and put a clamp on amp meter around one of the power lines and send in a report about charging currents.
Or we need a free Battery app that reports charging current and not just percent charge. -- oh and make the app work in sleep mode too

Help! - need a 'TV-OUT/Video_In 1-to-4 connector' cable

Ack! I got my Ti 4200 video card awhile ago, and only recently decided to try and capture some video from my VCR. But lo and behold the people I bought my computer from didn't send the 'TV-OUT/Video_In 1-to-4 connector' cable that the video card should have come with. The people I got my computer from don't even sell this video card anymore and wouldn't be any help anyways, so now I have to find one somewhere else.
Anyone know where I can buy one? Anyone have a spare one they'd like to sell?

Micro-Flex connector cables damaged in E90 housing...

Hi guys, something terrible happened during the attempt to change housing on my E90 communicator, I must have accidentally damaged the Micro-Flex connector cables while disassembling the internal components from it's old housing.
The external screen & keypad doesn't work now, only lights up during power up & is completely dysfunctional as a phone, along goes all my camera functions.
I am in desperate need of these connector cables "which I'm pretty sure is the culprit" to get my phone back into it's old working order again, the E90 was the best S60 OS phone I have ever had.
Since it broke down I've gone on to switch to an Nseries N900 which I never thought I would ever do, but the wait for a new communicator has left me cold, I am much obliged for any help.

Mac Air A1304 normal-SSD to motherboard-connector cable???

Hi guys,
I need to upgrade my 120GB LIF connector HDD with a new 18." SSD. Some manufacturers offer this upgrade (http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Other+World+Computing/SSDAPMB120/ - i am not trying to advertise this!) and I noticed that these products are basically normal 1.8" SSDs with a HDD cable identical to this A1304 but the HDD end is normal SATA instead of LIF. The question is can we find this cable only? Apple-to-SATA instead of the factory Apple-to-LIF? Then we can use any 1.8" SSD..

If you have the galaxy desktop then it's working. This is called extended desktop mode, it's a logical extension of your desktop to the right. Drag the browser off the right side of your monitor and it will appear on the TV.
You can also mirror your monitor with the TV by pressing CMD F1.
All these settings are in System Preferences > Displays > Arrangement tab.

Iphone with bumper case and connector cable

I recently purchased the iPhone 4 and gave my wife my 3G. I had a couple of cables that I use on the 3G for my car and at the desk. I attempted today to charge the iPhone 4 while on a trip only find that the cables that I have for the 3G will not fit into the iPhone 4 which has the bumper case. The opening on the case is smaller than the plastic insulator on the connector.
Fortunately I brought the one that came with it, which normally stays on my desk, along on the trip and was able to charge it without taking the case off. But now it appears I'll have to purchase another cable for my car charger.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I made the same discovery on both my iPhone4s. It would fit on my SkyDock either. So I was able to successfully Dremel both of them for a secure fit. It only takes about 15 minutes of careful work to get them modified for greater charger compatibility. Not sure it wasn't intentional to increase aggregate charger sales.

Can you use the iPod connector cable to charge the iPhone or

only the cable that came with the iPod?
Also, I put the iPhone briefly into my old inMotion speakers and a message
came up saying that the device didn't support an iPhone and would either not
charge my iPhone or have bad consequences for my iPhone-i wasn't sure-it did

I use an iPod connector almost all the time and have never had a problem, even after market iPod connectors, but you'll get a different response depending on who you talk to. The guy at the Genius Bar told me yes, but phone support said no. Short answer...You should be able to use the iPod connector.
When you plug the iPhone into some 3rd party devices, you'll get a message stating "not compatible with iPhone" but that is because you are going to get interference because of the cell signal. You can put it into Airplane mode to avoid the interference or just deal with the interference and just click OK. That being said, I have read other posts where these devices do cause damage to the iPhone so proceed at your own risk.

Could someone please tell me why this HP External DVD drive has a strange USB + pin connector?

I am thinking of buying it to use with my HP mini 210-1004sa but am not sure if I can either buy a standard USB cable to use or whether I should steer well clear.

That is working correctly. If you path it to work from the Web page, of course it will not work from “index.html” in the deploy folder… it’s not supposed to. It’s supposed to work from the Web page one folder level up. Did you test it from YOUR Web page after changing the paths?

This is also to be expected, because when testing the .swf directly (not on YOUR Web page), the paths in the xml file to the mp3s is correct. But remember, when you place that .swf on YOUR Web page, you are removing the .swf from “deploy” and placing it in the same folder as your Web page….. it’s not in deploy anymore.

Well for testing you could take everthing out of “deploy” and move it into the same folder as YOUR Web page and just change the path on your web page to the .swf (delete the “deploy/” part). Now every thing is in the root folder, there is no deploy folder, only a “sound” folder which holds the mp3s and the palyer would work just fine, because RELATIVE to the location of the .swf on the WEB PAGE, all the paths are correct.
But then you don’t really learn how to resolve pathing issues.

The cable's USB connector goes to my PC for data transfer and the FW connector goes to a power brick. I don't run my computer all the time, and this way the iPod gets juice even when my PC is off.
Is this FW/USB cable safe to use with my new iPod nano? The product page doesn't mention the nano, but that could be an oversight. I'd like to keep using the same cable to sync/charge both of my iPods.
