Connector Deployment at RAC

Hi,
While deploying the connector in RAC environment the following error is appearing.
ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified
The source and target locations are registering against the netservice names instead of hostname and port. If we register against the hostname and port it is successful. But the requirement is to register against the netservice name in RAC.
Any hints to overcome this problem

Hi,
Create a scenario out of the interface or put that interface in a package and create scenario of that package.
Then you can schedule the scenario to run daily .
You need to have ODI installed at your production.
You can export scenario from dev and import that in prod.

How to deploy a RAC with less than 5 disks in OVM 3.0.3

Hello,
Ive already successfully deployed two RACs based on the corresponding template.
Now I want to deploy another RAC but only with 3 shared disks (instead of five).
Of course Ive read the Appendix C of the template description but its not clear for me how to change the params.ini when Im not able to start the VM.
When Im booting the VM on the console Im getting the message that there are not enough disks and Im not able the get a console login.

Hi,
MUST have 5 disks configured for each VM-RAC (D1, D2, D3, D4, D5) - disk order!.
After first step - network configuration finish, login and edit params.ini, install RAC on first 3 disks (D1, D2, D3).
After finishing edit VM and remove last 2 disks (D4, D5).
For Production
D1, D2, D3 = LUN's on shared storage
D4, D5 = Virtual Disks in Repository
For Test
D1, D2, D3 = Virtual Disks in Repository
D4, D5 = Virtual Disks in Repository
D1, D2, D3 must meet requirements regarding estimated DB dimension.
D4, D5 = 1GB can be deleted after RAC instalation.

OWB connector deployment problem

After changing second time the runtime repository with a different user, and subsequently deploying the connector, it displays the below error message:
RTC-5170:No deployment actions were set for 1 objects.
Either the runtime platform connection is invalid or the
selected objects are unchanged and not eligible for a
default deployment action.
Operation abandoned.
What could be the reason and what is the solution?

Try changing the deploy action from "none" to "create".

Oracle Outlook Connector Deployment Problem

I am trying to deploy Outlook 2003 with the Oracle Outlook connector. I am using the Custom installation Wizard provided by the Microsoft Office 2003 Support Tools.
I have set the Oracle connector to piggy-back on the install, however, it will not setup each user automatically. Even using the ini file. You have to manually setup each current user and new users as they come to a new pc.
I want Outlook the CIW to setup the Oracle connector automatically using a .PRF file (Outlook profile file). Unfortunately, with 3rd party connectors, you have to setup the .prf manually. But, other than the white paper provided by Microsoft, there isn't any info on how to manually setup the .PRF file that will setup the connector?
Do I need to call Microsoft (and spend the $250), Oracle, or is there anyone out there that has this info?
Any help would be beneficial to everyone trying to deploy the oracle connector to a large amount of machines without ever having to visit each pc.

Not yet. I have issued a TAR with Oracle and have talked to a technician about this problem. He is now meeting with engineers to see if it is possible. I have also been on the phone with a software company called AutoProf and testing their software Profile Maker 8. The tech that I spoke with there is also working with the engineers to come up with a solution. Right now it looks as though some scripting is going to have to occur to get it to work right. I'll keep you posted.

Connector Deployment

Hi All,
I am having issues deploying a connector for a Truncate/Load mapping. The schema through which I am login to the OWB is able to pull up table structures located in another database in a certain schema and also table structure of the target schema. If I do the testing for the connector, it is able to test sucessfully for the connections. However, when I try to deploy it, it gives the error:
ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
I had verified that the schema under which my mapping is getting created has select privileges for the source table as well as insert,update & delete privileges for my target table.
Any ideas why this might be happening??? If you need any more information, I'll be happy to provide.

1)How can we verify if the DB link is wrong.
There is another db-link for a pre provided mapping which has exactly the same db_link/register info as the new mapping, still it is failing.
2)How can we verify that the schema infront on the source table is not correct, coz I was able to import the source view without any errors and create the whole mapping.

J2ee connector deployment

I am testing and deploying mailadapter example from sun site on my OC4J, infact i only deploy it outbound part because my requirments are synchronous connectivity with EIS
But i am getting following error
Unable to set up connection factory to location eis/MyEmail for a resource adapter deployed as stand-alone:

OIM RACF Advance Connector deployment on Mainframe

On Step #9 I get this Error

Funny.... the documentation that came with the connector have different steps than the on found on oracle website.
3.3 Deploying the Reconciliation Agent and Provisioning Agent
To deploy the Reconciliation Agent and Provisioning Agent:
Extract the contents of the following file from the installation media to a temporary directory:
etc/Provisioning and Reconciliation Connector/Mainframe_RACF.zip
Transmit the following files to the IBM z/OS computer:
clist.xmi
jcllib.xmi
linklib.xmi
parmlib.xmi
proclib.xmi
You can transmit the files either through FTP or IND$FILE on a TN3270 emulator. The files must be transmitted in binary format.
The output files are in JES2 XMIT format. The output file names can be, for example:
IDF.CLIST.XMIT
IDF.JCLLIB.XMIT
IDF.LINKLIB.XMIT
IDF.PARMLIB.XMIT
IDF.PROCLIB.XMIT
The file attributes are as follows:
RECFM=FB

Log in to the TSO environment of the mainframe.
Expand each of the uploaded XMIT files by running TSO Option #6 and then running the RECEIVE INDA('XMIT_FILE_NAME') command. The output is the following files:

Ensure that the //SYSPROC statement of REXXCL points to IDF.CLISTLIB, which is the library that contains the CLISTs required by the LDAP Gateway for running batched reconciliation.
Verify that the job card is correct for the installation.
TSO submit the IDCAMSC and REXXCL members to IBM z/OS. Verify that the return code for completion is 0000.
If the ICHPWX01 and ICHRIX02 exits do not exist, then run IEBCOPYL. This copies the LOGPWX01 and LOGRIX02 exits to a new or existing library that is defined in the LPA in IEASYSxx.
If the ICHPWX01, ICHRIX02, or IRREVX01 exit exists, then the LOGPWX01, LOGRIX02, and LOGEVX01 exits must be called as described in Section 3.5, "Installing or Integrating the Reconciliation Agent Exits."
Copy the started tasks and procedures to a new procedure library or an existing library. To do so, review and if required modify the IEBCPYPR member so that it conforms to installation standards. Then, TSO submit the member and verify that the return code for completion is 0000.
Review IEBCOPYP and determine whether the product LINKLIB (IDF.LINKLIB) is APF-authorized at IPL. If it is not APF authorized, then run the IEBCOPYP member.
Similarly, review IDF.PARMLIB member = PROG75. This is the dynamic member for IRREVX01, and it is required for real-time reconciliation. If it is not APF authorized, then run this member.
In the installation running IEASYSxx, verify that the IEFSSNxx member pointed to by the IEASYSxx parameter SSN= has the following defined:
SUBSYS SUBNAME(RACF)
INITRTN(IRRSSI00) INITPARM('#')
This is required because the Provisioning Agent uses the R_Admin RACF service call through the IRRSEQ00 module. Without it, the Provisioning Agent fails.

Java Connector Deploy

Hy all,
How to deploy a connector with J2EE SDK.
I added a .rar file in my application, but when i deploy my app, a IOException is throw.
I've utilized the verifier tool and no erros are presented.
Have anybody a example?

Sorry but then I have no idea. I have written a JCA 1.5 (in J2EE 1.4) RA.
JCA 1.5 has an additional class called ResourceAdapter. Its start method
is called when the RA is deployed. In this case the start method can throw
some exceptions. But in JCA 1.0 this class does not exist so as I know RA related methods are not called at deployment time.

DotNet Connector deployment

Hi,
we have a vb.net application running using dotnet connector 2.0.1. On our development machine Win2k-Sp4, everything works fine, but on the curstomers machine Win2k-Sp4, we get an error 'system exception thrown while marshaling .NET type SAPSync.ZBC_DATUM_RANGE to RFCTYPE_XMLDATA'. ZBC_DATUM_RANGE is a function provided by our SAP programmer.
Did we forget to deploy some files except
SAP.Connector.dll
SAP.Connector.Rfc.dll
librfc32.dll
msvcr71.dll
msvcp71.dll

I get a similar error "System exception thrown while marshaling .NET type MsgTransServer.ARFCTID_T to RFCTYPE_XMLDATA" on the CommStation of the mobile client on the customer system. This happens while copying the RFC tables on the CRM Server to the mobile client.
A re-start of the services solves the problem. How could a .NET code-based security be a problem here? How can I solve this? There are no notes available for this issue.

Oracle Outlook Connector Deployment

We are trying to deploy the oracle outlook connector to hundreds of pcs. There isn't really any documentation on how to deploy this connector without visiting every single machine. Is there an MSI or easy way to deploy the connector?
All outlook clients are set to Internet only now, but we will first deploy Outlook 2003 and have that setup as Corporate/Workgroup before deploying the oracle connector. Any ideas?

You could try using the Office 2003 custom installation wizard. This will allow you to customize your Outlook installation and will give you the option of chain installing the Oracle Calendar connector. Use the included ini file with the Oracle Calendar connector to set your predefined settings and do a silent install with no user interaction. Check out the Office 2003 resource kit on Microsoft's website for details.

Libraries on Connector deployed as Module

Hi,
          I need tibrvj.jar library inside muy connector rar file. I include it, but when run and connect to if from ejb, receive an exception (is internal of the aplication) that not found tibrvj library.
          is there any problem with libraries and class path same as EJB in weblogic when deploy it as module , that discart it?

I think your question belongs in the connector forum and not not here in the generic EJB forum.

You can post a port of the stack trace to help. I'm assuming your connector cannot find the class. Is the library included in your EAR? Or is the library available in the global WLS classpath?

          If you want to deploy the connector ships with J2sdkee server, you may need
          to do some changes to deployment descriptors and you need to add weblogic
          Deployment descriptor.
          Instead, You can go directly with same implementation connector is shipped
          with BEA weblogic 7.0. You can very easily deploy that and demonstrate the
          connector functionality, until unless if you have specific reasons to work
          with only CCIblockbox.rar shipped by J2sdkee referense server.

Custom Connector Deployment : java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError

Hi,
We have a Custom Connector for connecting to the Google System.
I moved the Objects from an existing OIM System to the new one.
Now, I have the following error thrown when the "Create User" Task is getting executed.
Is there a way to print which class file is missing? It didn't say what class? Any pointers?

Error while deploying JCA connector :-

Hi,
Im trying to deploy a JCA connector to WebLogic 9.1.
The same connector deployed fine to WebLogic 8.1, but throws the following exception now at 9.1 :-

I have no element for outbound-resourceadapter.

Hello Swarna:
I believe than rather than deploying the MDM4J.jar, you should deploy this components:
com.sap.mdm.tech.mdm4j.sda
com.sap.mdm.tech.connector.sda
BPMDMTECHN00_0.sca
BPMDMAPPLI00_0.sca
Once you deploy those, you should have no problems. Another solution would be to take your MDM4J.jar and wrap it into an SDA, then deploy, but that would be pretty much the same.
Those components are included on your MDM CD. Please ensure you use the same Version/support package/hotfix all over your landscape.
