Connector Won't Fit

Before I bought the iPhone 4 I was using the 3GS iPhone. I have a cable that is installed in my car connected to the car stereo to play music from the iPhone/iPod. I'm using the 30 pin connector on the bottom and not the earphone jack. Besides playing the music I can control the iPhone from the steering wheel controls. This all worked with the last iPhone. When I bought the new iPhone I bought the "bumper" to protect it. The cut out in the bumper will only accommodate the Apple connector and not the 3rd party connector hooked to the car stereo. I know of the company Cable Jive and was wondering if their connector on their jumper cable is the same size as the Apple connector so it will fit through the bumber. To make matters worse I'm using that Firewire to USB power converter dongle that Apple forced us into a few years back to be able to charge the battery in the iPhone. My question is does anyone make a jumper that will physically fit and as a bonus do the power conversion from Firewire to USB. And no I don't want to get handy with a dremmel tool carving up the case so don't suggest that.
Any help would be appreciated.

OK everyone back from vacation so sorry for the delay. I received the dock Xtender not Extender (older version) from Jive. It did not work. The lady who I spoke with on the phone at Jive "thought it would now work" with the new Apple bumper but I don't think she was part of their technical staff, rather I think she was in customer service. Also I still had to use my USB to Firewire converter to charge the iPhone. This is something they could have added as functionality to the cable but didn't. They tout the Xtender as the end all be all loaded with features but as I found out the product was a disappointment. So as a last ditch effort I got out the file and Xacto knife to make the bumper hole connector bigger. With my very sharp knife this exercise met with disasterous results when I cut through one of the edges turning the bumper into a $40.00 throwaway.
On a different note, notice how the bumper is the only case that Apple sells for the iPhone 4 while other stores have other case options when they sell the iPhone 4. This was not the "case" with previous iPhones as they offered lots of options. Guess now that they are in the case business they don't want any competition at their stores. With Consumer Reports's don't buy recommendation on the iPhone 4 because of the antenna issue Apple will probably have to give away the bumper to take care of the problem.
Getting back to my original issue I ended up buying the lean case by iFrogz at Best buy that has the bottom wide open and will accommodate any size connector. The case is pretty good and will get the job done. I'll probably trade this case out for the Otter box when it becomes available for the iPhone 4 as my wife who's phone it is (ya I know what a nice guy) is a clutz on steroids.

USB cable for Xperia Z Tablet Won't fit

Wonder if anyone can help me. I'm travelling in the UK from Australia and forgot my charger. Online everyone says it's a micro USB, but when I bought one it doesn't fit. The port is rectangular and the usb connector is trapezoid-shaped and won't fit or charge the device. Been to a couple of computer shops and they all say the Xperia Z has a unique posrt and thay don't stock the correct lead. I won this tablet in a competition in September 2013 and don't have manual or anything here. Any helpful ideas out there would be greatly appreciated as I've been without it now for 3 weeks. Like I said, I bought one of their inexpensive enclosures and now can use the hard drive just as a source for the files that are on it...my external drives are much larger and faster so I just plug that drive in when I need something from it.

Pc card won't fit

I backed up all my stuff from my old hp computer to a Toshiba 5-GB PC Card drive. I transferred most of it to my new Satellite L305 through a USB cable (I think; Properties doesn't work) but one thing doesn't work and now I find the card won't fit. It goes part way into the PC Card slot but it won't go all the way in. I tried both ways, a reasonable amount of force, ejector button in or out; it simply will not go in. Computer (from Start) won't recognize it. I'm afraid to really jam the thing in. Why won't it fit???

That system has an ExpressCard/34 and ExpressCard/54 slot. I may be wrong, but I don't believe it will accomodate a PC Card.

One hour 25 minutes won't fit on a single layer

Hey People,
Using Toast 7, I get the error that 1:25 min. won't fit on a single layer Verbatim. ???
It is an export from FCE with lots of editing if that makes a difference.
iDVD is not much use; it spits out blank disks during multiplexing stage but pretends to keep burning,
a common problem I know but I have never been able to fix it.

How to go from FCE/P to iDVD I do
• Disable Screen and Energy saver
• IMPORTANT --> FIRST in FinalCut - Mix Down Audio under Sequence Menu / Render Only / Mix-down
• Export out as a QuickTime .mov file
• Select with Mark - Chapter Mark
• Not as Self-Contained (not important but saves time and space)
• NO QUICKTIME CONVERSION (IMPORTANT)
This QT.mov file I import into iDVD from within iDVD.
Free space on Start-up hard disk
I set a minimum of 25GB (for Mac OS and iDVDs temp files)
Encoding
• I use Pro Quality encoding
Brand and type of DVDs used
• I use Verbatim
• I use DVD-R
Burn speed set
• I set down this to x4 (or x1)
iDVD BUG
• One can not go back to movie-project for any alterations and then go back to
the iDVD project. It will notice and ask You to either Up-date or Cancel. Neither
of them will work.
Medicine - Start a brand new iDVD project.
Use of Chapters
• I only use a to z and 0 to 9 in naming them. NO other symbol/letter !
• NO Chapter-mark at very beginning - iDVD NEEDS TO set this by it self
• No Chapter marks in or within two seconds from a transition
(Way around this last one - Export movie as QT full quality and NO Chapter marks
Import this into a new Movie-project and now You are free to set C-Ms where You want
them except at very beginning - still)
Material used to build movie
• video - I use streamingDV (or convert all other to this e.g. .mp4, .avi, .wmv etc)
• audio - I use .aiff 16-bit 48kHz or from Audio-CD (44.1kHz) - no .mp3 or direct from iTunes
• photos - I use .jpg - no .bmp etc
Trash iDVD pref. file and run Repair Permissions - and have a re-try.

May not be relevant, but I had the same problem with iDVD, where burned DVDs showed a green screen. It was cured by quitting Quicksilver and Quickeys as well as disabling sleep and screen-saving

Burn won't fit - is it minutes or MB's?

I'm getting the message that my songs won't fit on one CD. There are 55 songs (actually spoken word) 1.5 hours, 482 MB. The CD is 80 min, 700 MB. Is it the minutes or the MB that is important? 482 MB should fit easily.

Its where your burning an audio CD.
All your songs/books are in either MP3 or AAC both being compressed formats. When a program gets ready to burn an audio CD, it has to uncompress the song(s) and burn them in a uncompressed format so a regular CD player can read it.
So the 400 and something MB COMPRESSED files when uncompressed are MUCH larger. If you look at the blank CD or the case it came in, it will tell you how many minutes of music it can hold on average. I THINK most 700MB CDs hold 80min worth of audio

- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

PLEASE NOTE: In order to provide the same power output as an original 3 ft Apple USB cable, the housing of our 6.5 ft cables need to be a bit larger. Due to the larger head size, it will not be compatible with some cases that have a smaller charger opening
If that is the case then I am stuck with the Griffin one or just use the original.

If you have a port that looks like this one, it's FW400. If it looks like this one it's FW800. If you have one of each it supports both. If you don't have either then it's USB only.

Power adapter and iPod nano cable won't fit

Photoshop file won't fit

Hi,
I'm working on a pal anamorphic project in which I'd like to import a photoshop file, with a gap inside to use video in. I made the file using the photoshop cs3 video preferences. Saved it as a psd 1024x576 not anamorphic. The sequence has the same size and is anamorphic. The dimension 16:9 look good, but the file won't fit in the canvas.
Resizing the file with motiontab cuts the file, but doesn't cover the whole picture.
Any ideas? Do I have to save the file otherwise?

In Photoshop: click File > New.
Click on Preset: Custom (it might display Clipboard instead), and choose:
"PAL D1/DV Widescreen, 720 x 576 (with guides)".
Set the background to "Transparent".
If you plan on flying the logo to or from a larger size change resolution to something higher than the standard 72dpi. 150 dpi works well for this sort of thing. Click OK.
Place your graphics inside this template, observing safe area and safe title as needed.
If your logo is not rectangular, use Layers > "Merge Visible" and save as .tiff with alpha to keep its shape.
Import to FCP and set the Distort control to zero as mentioned above.
