Certaines applications ont une fonction de mise à jour Vérifier dans le menu nom de l'application, VueScan n'est pas une de ces applications. Vous pouvez également obtenir une application 3ème partie qui va scanner votre Mac, créer une liste des applications installées et vous alerter quand une mise à jour est disponible pour une application.

Yes, you must be on a FaceTime call to change the video settings.

I have same issue. Have Facetime preinstalled on MBP, tried to call "X". It says "need to update Facetime". My version says 1.0, go to AppStore, click on "Buy" and it says i already have this and I need to go to software update. I go there and it says everything is up to date. ***?! I followed instructions from this thread to delete the app, but none of that works and it actually screws up the app. Luckily I had it backed up on an external harddrive. Called Apple Care.... they followed the same routine to move facetime to trash... and screw it all up.. ***??!
As it turns out, I finally figured it out. The message actually says "X needs to update Facetime", not me. There's nothing wrong with my facetime on MBP, as it works when I try to call "Y" and "Z". The problem lies with "X"'s iphone that needs updating. Problem solved.

Tried to open a file I created in Numbers a while ago which I modified on 11/4/13 and got a message that I needed a newer version of Numbers. When I went to the Mac App Store it shows that the new version is already installed. Any suggestions?

Are you launching Pages from an icon in your Dock? Installing the update does not change the Dock icons & it does not remove the older versions. Go to your Applications folder & launch the new Pages from there.

Same problem here in Brazil.
It seems to be a problem with logging in App Store in the Mac (Yosemite 10.10.2).
When I tried the very same userid and password I was able to login in to use my iCloud account from the same computer and also from my iPhone.

I am trying to download new version of iTunes from App store having purchased it on my laptop. When I try to download on my iMac I get the following message:

Getting Error Message when trying to use Software Update in the Mac App Store...

Hello,
I was wondering if someone knows what this error message in the Mac App Store means. I am trying to run Software Update by clicking in the Apple Menu however, I am not able to see my available updates and instead get the following message on the Mac App Store:
I have tried to fix the error by deleting both the Mac App Store Caches and plist files in the user library and made sure that I am properly logged into the Mac App Store with my personal Apple ID.
What else can I do?

However, today I wanted to update iTunes to version 10.7 and decided to use the standalone installer rather than the SU version. Trying to install 10.7 (from 10.6.8) on Mac Mini server 4,1. I don't use it as a server, and don't know anything about that.I get a message "Waiting for App Store to download Mac OS X Server Add on" check download at App store. There is none. Help?

Ran into this myself on a new MacMini Server. I renamed the ServerVersion.plist file in /System/Library/CoreServices/. That allowed the install to start. Unfortunately it seems the installer is setup to install that at the same time. I renamed the file back before the restart and it complained on restart that the server install wasn't found.
So I thought I would try downloading it on another computer with Lion. That didn't work either. As soon as it finished download it installed and deleted the installer.
What a pain.
If you can start from scratch, you should be able to rename the file, do the Lion install then after the Lion install rename it back. Then do the server install. I'm not sure what that will do to existing server configs though. There must be some reason Apple set up the Lion installer this way.
Oh, now I can't reboot into my existing OS. It keeps rebooting into the installer. Tried the option key and both options are named something like base os. Neither boots my existing Snow Leopard. Gonna have to get an external DVD drive and install from scratch I think. Luckily this is a new server not in production, so not a big deal. I hope people with production machines read the boards and tread carefully.

Error message when trying to download from Mac App Store

When I try to download an app in the Mac App Store I get an error message: "We could not complete your purchase. Error Unknown." Sometimes it says: "There is an error in the Mac App Store". This has been going on for a couple of days now. I have tried signing out of the Mac App Store, logging out of my User Account, and then signing back in, as has been suggested in other threads. But that did not work.
Suggestions?

Here is an update and more information: I actually have two MBP's. One is a mid-2009 model and one is a new, mid-2012. I transferred files from the mid-2009 to the mid-2012, but I use both computers frequently. This problem only occurs on the mid-2009 and not on the mid-2012. I have authorized both computers.

Hi - i'm running osx 10.9.4, 2.93 ghz, intel core i7
i can not open mac app store, FaceTime, messages, maps, contacts -
i recently ran cleanmymac and cleared a bunch of cache, could this have affected?
how do i fix?

May be that " CleanMyMac" cleaned too much.
Remove it and try again.

Turn off proxies, if selected.
     System Preference > Network > Advanced > Proxies Tab
     Under "Select Protocol", uncheck any box if selected.
     Click "OK" then "Apply"

"App Store quit unexpectedly" message anytime I try to open the Mac App Store

I have OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and when I go into the applications folder and click on the App Store, the window to report a problem to Apple comes up, saying the App Store has quit unexpectedly. The window offers the option to "reopen" the app, but every time I click that the same message appears over and over. Any suggestions as to how I could fix this and open the app store?

Drag & Drop the Mac App Store (MAS) icon to the Trash, then download and install this updaye combo. It should install a new MAS and repair any corruption.

you'll need to edit the security settings to install programs 'Mac App Store and identified developers'
Open the Systems Preference and go to Security & Privacy. There will be a section in the 'General' tab for 'Allow apps downloaded from:" The default selection is 'Mac App Store'. Change this setting to 'Mac App Store and identified developers".
This screenshot is taken on OS X 10.10 (Yosemite), so it may look slightly different if you're on a different OS X version.
