Connexion with a car sound system

Hello
I have no problems when I plug my Nano on my house sound system.When I try to connect it to my car system (mini jack to mini jack) : The sound is very 'poor' and I don't listen clearly the voice.
What do you think ?
Is it a question of cable, configuration on the Nano or on my car system ?

Is it possible to get Siri to work with 'old' Car handsfree systems?
Unless I'm missing something - Siri doesn't work well with older handsfree car systems - as typically the cars built in system handles the voice control and relays the request to the phone over bluetooth protocols. I tried initiating siri standalone while connected to the car and it failed.
I was hoping I might be able to do some sneaky like 'Call Siri' to enter Siri mode but it doesn't seem to work.
I'm guessing future Car handsfree systems will be Siri aware - but making Siri work with older systems (and my car isn't old - it's a 2011 model) would be very useful.
Has anyone come up with a workaround? I really don't want to have to buy or use a bluetooth ear piece

I never heard anything on this and so am still unable to use Siri without touching my phone.

Just got the Iphone 6 and it paired BT with the car phone system okay. But it will not pair with the audio part where I could play my recorded music with my 5-C. The system will not connect with the phone and the message is that the settings

My toyota Seinna 2011 refuses to connect with my Iphone 6 as a "portable player". Message says for me to adjust the player. On the phone it is searching for other devices but not connecting. Now same phone is paired with the car multimedia system and will take and make calls. Help!

to allow them to create apps that work under iOS

Yes, it is possible. Like the above poster mentioned, though, it depends on the Bluetooth of your car, and if it's compatible with the iPhone.
I personally have had my iPhone 3G connected via bluetooth with my car, but it was a mediocre experience. Perhaps you will have better results.
As for the complexity of pairing your phone, it depends more on your car's system. Consult your car's user manual for guiding you through the bluetooth pairing process.

I get only sound from left with 5.1 sound system on Satellite P100

I have a P100-347 and a logitech 5.1 sound system.
The logitech 5.1 has 3 connection: 1 to be plugged to the Line-In, the other to be connected to the Line-out and the 3rd to be connected to the Microphone socket.
When using it on my desktop which has a random SIS sound card it works fine.
Yesterday I've connected it to the P100-347 but I only get sound from the Line-out socket. I have changed the sound preferences to 5.1 but it makes no difference... I only get sound from the Line-out. Is there any drivers update that I should do or is anyone aware of this and how can I fix it??
Just one more thing... With the laptop came this cd "Express Media Player Recovery CD", what is this? Is this something to be installed after runing the "Product Recovery CD" in order to install some drivers or whatever is in this cd comes with the Product Recovery CD as well? Does anyone knows?

There is no problem. As you said the notebook supports Line-in; headphone & S/PDIF jack and Microphone jack.
If you want to connect the HiFI or another device you have to choose the headphone & S/PDIF jack. Only this port provides the audio outputting.
The both another jacks provide only the function for signal (sound) receiving!
My notebook provides the same jacks and I have connected the notebook to HiFI (5 speakers) via Y-audio cable like this one:

Car sound system (tape deck)

I was just wondering if you can get some sort of connection to connect your ipod to your cars sterio system? to be specific it is a tape player, some sort of cord like you could use with a portable cd player, you would have a tape that pluged into the headphone section of the player, does ipod have something similar, or do you have to pull out the head unit and get a new one that is compatable?

You just need a standard cassette tape adapter. Apple sells one, Radio Shack sells them, etc. I use my old one that came with my Sony Carman (portable CD player) and it works fine.

IPhone 3GS and Nissan 2010 Bose Sound System Issue

I have a 2010 Nissan Altima Coupe with a Bose sound system and iPod intergration. Until recently everything worked well with my iPhone 3G S, however now on occasion, the iPod function stops dead in the middle of a book or sound. When I turn the power on an off, the car iPod system is still locked. The other functions of the sound system like regular and sattellite radio work fine. When I disconnent the iPhone there is a "Check Device" message on the car system screen. The only way to unfreeze the system is to turn of the ignition and restart the car. It seemed to start doing this after I installed the iPhone iOS4 upgrade last month. Anyone else seeing this?

Same here. Brand new Nissan Altima Coupe with the Bose PY05F premium sound system. Stuttering, staggering and flat out freezes up.

Connect Iphone to car radio system

I try to find a way to connect my Iphone to my car radio. I wan to listen my mp3 and use my phone with the car radio system.

There are many ways to do this (I use the MonsterCable ipod adapter in rental cars, and the Pioneer Ipod Interface for my P7500DVDII) both with decent results. (great results if you turn on airplane mode). All GSM phones can effect stereo equipment to some degree, and the iphone is no exception. Alot of the 3rd party kits do not use shielded connections which just makes the problem that much more obvious. I found if I adjust the location of my phone in relation to the transmitter and the radio the Monster fm modulator gives satisfactory results without disabling my ability to recieve phone calls. The pioneer is the best, however I can't place the phone in the holder which was installed with the kit since it is in the DIN above the stereo (VW Jetta) and the phone constantly interferes with the amplification circuits. Moving the phone 3-4 inches fixes it.

I want to transfer my ipods itunes collection to a flash drive to be able to use in my cars entertainment system without having the need for my ipod. How can i acomplish this ?

First find out if the car's system will play AAC fiiles, as sold in the iTunes Store.
If it does, read the instructions for the system to find out how to add songs to it, because you have not stated how that is done. No one here can second-guess this.
If it does not, you will need to convert the songs to a format the system does recognise. You can use iTunes to do that. If you need help with that, you could ask. Once converted, follow step 1, above.
By the way, call me a sceptic, but one might be suspicious of someone who referred to Apple products as i-pod, or i-tunes, rather than iPod and iTunes and one might even wonder if there was some nefarious reason behind it...

Need help Using iphone5 with Bluetooth in 2006 Volvo xc90. I have paired my phone and can make calls. I want to play music on my iPhone using the car's sounds system.

I have just purchased a 2006 Volvo with Bluetooth. I have paired my phone with the car to make phone calls. I don't have a way to play my iTunes music through the cars audio system. Is there a special auxiliary adapter that I need to buy?

Nobody have notice this problem or have a tip for that?

I have read many threads about this issue mostly for iPhone 5 (ok i have the 5S) perhaps this makes a difference. With the ios7 i had no issue and always connected to my MHV-8300BT Pioneer device in my car. After update, when i get connected, i says "Calling My number" and when i push the button on my device to answer it drops the line, it keeps the connection but i do not hear, speak. Then i have to change the source voice system and i set the speaker or the iPhone.
On my fathers Bluetooth, a Motorola, it works, at the beginning i made a reset only for the Network settings,
Do not know what else to do

Hi, new to the forums and apple tbh.
Moving into a new house and want to set up a sound system, thought apple would be the way to go as I have iPads, iPhones, iPod touch and nanos. I also have a few sets of Bose speakers which I would like to incorporate. What I am wondering is, what else do I need to buy to do this? Do I need seperate devices to attach to each speaker? Do I need a new router? And how would I configure it?
Ideally I would like 4 rooms each with their own speakers that could play simultaneously.

First, please check out the following Apple Support article for details on setting up an AirPort Express Base Station (AX) for iTunes streaming. Note: You will need a separate AX for each set of speakers that you want to stream to. Also, note that you can stream a single audio file to one or more speakers, but you cannot stream separate audio files to different speakers simultaneously.
Second, the Bose speakers you mentioned would need to have an audio input jack, either analog or optical digital to receive the stream from the AX. As you know, Bose makes a number of different speaker/home theatre audio options. If your specific model of speakers do, then it's just a matter to use the appropriate audio cable between the audio port of the AX and the speakers.
